solo travel .... excellent hotel ... if next plan then again stay in this hotel .... but remember you must have a the car . excellent breakfast .... good room ... excellent bed sheet .

The family travels quite a bit. Booked a King size bed with extra room meaning a fold out sofa and got a queen with a so called couch was a disappointment. The breakfast was appalling. There were opened and used butter packs in the bowl. Plates of food were just left by guest in the food service area. Used utensils were left by the syrup station. This place was just gross. The family and I left to go pay and eat at another place. This was one of the worst stays in a Holiday Inn. Hope they will do better.

Our room was not cleaned during our 5 days of stay..we wish we had an option. If there exists a hand shower in bath tub, it would help parents to give showers to kids as needed..also it would be helpful if there is a step stool in bathroom for kids while using sink..

Janet was the highlight of our stay. She was the front desk attendant when we got there and she was so pleasant and wonderful. We were excited about the pool, but it was disgusting. It appeared that someone had had a “release” in the pool and there was white floating mucus covering the pool

No room keys available to guests upon check-in and the front-desk employee had to walk us to our rooms with a master key. There were no pool towels available. Bathroom towels were not replaced in our room and we had to go request them ourselves.

The area was clean and organized, just not as much choice as others I have stayed at. The staff was helpful. Over the course of a four night stay, we did not receive any room service. I asked for towels twice, for which the staff was courteous. I emptied the trash each day and upon requesting toilet paper and trash liners, I was told the cleaning cart was not available at the time. Fortunately I always travel with extra of these items.

Comfortable beds and pillows plenty of places to put our suitcases and extra locations to put our personal items. The drawback was at the pool was in the middle of Maintenance when we went so we were unable to use it.

The breakfast was only till 9 on the weekend and when we woke up early to go down at 8:30 there was barely any food left. We didn't stick around to find out if they put anymore out but were disappointed it wasn't maintained like other places we have stayed. Also the pool wasn't open and it wasn't posted any where on the site. We figured that out when we were headed to check it out.

Solo female traveler. Area felt safe. Hotel lobby and room were clean and quiet. Staff was pleasant and helpful. Easy access to the highway. Price was reasonable (could have been higher for the area and how nice it was). Saved in my bookings for future visits.

Stay is good no complains

Hotel and rooms were very clean. Staff was great and the beds were very comfortable. But the breakfast was some of the worst I’ve ever had. Coffee had a weird taste and the gravy for the biscuits looked so disgusting we didn’t try it. Great place to lay your head but don’t factor in the breakfast!

This hotel charges premium rates and delivers conditions that are unsafe, neglected, and honestly not worth your money. Book somewhere else. The room looked clean at first glance, but allergy symptoms hit fast from years of built-up dust on every high surface housekeeping ignores. The shower curtain was too short for the tub and ripped in multiple places. The sink had peeling paint, the ceiling had visible water damage, and none of it is acceptable at any price point — let alone an above-market one. The elevator shook badly enough to genuinely frighten my wife and daughter. That’s a safety issue, not an inconvenience, and it has no business being in operation. The pool was green with algae and full of trash. When we asked the front desk, we were promised it would be cleaned and swim-ready by the next afternoon. That was a lie. A closed sign went up and it never opened. Had they been upfront, we would have booked elsewhere. That dishonesty alone warrants a refund, and I’m requesting one. Breakfast was the final letdown — congealed eggs, watery oatmeal, and chicken gravy standing in for sausage gravy. This property took our money, misrepresented their amenities, and failed on every level. I’m formally requesting a refund and urging every traveler to spend their money somewhere that actually earns it.

Hotel was nice. They had an issue with the AC, everything in the room was damp and did not go away. I told my concern to the manager.

Our stay with Holiday Express in McKinney was outstanding. The leadership was very supportive. The breakfast was very good in every way! Recommend it highly.

Breakfast was good. However, shower water was cold on the second day, lights didn’t work in the room, WiFi was bad, no dirty clothes bag in room, floor tile in the bathroom were cracked and dirty especially around toilet.

Room was clean, shower pan was stained dirty but shower head and pressure was great. Walls are thin and you can easily hear feet above you and walking down halls. Staff was very friendly and area was quiet

The staff isn't clear that room service is upon request only. Also, lost hot water for a day. Breakfast was fair. I stayed here for the location. Would probably stay here again.

We checked in Saturday and checked out Wednesday morning. Not once did the room get refreshed. No new towels nor the beds made. The place was older, which is normally not an issue, but with the lack of "care" from the staff, it did not help. These folks acted like they did not want to be there. We will not be staying here again.

The staff was nice and courteous. Check-in was easy and quick. I left my iPad at the property and called to ask someone to retrieve it. They did with no problem. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars was because I couldn't get the hot water in the tub to run.

There's was always never enough and hot breakfast available, and had to ask for toilet paper for 2 days and never received any!.

In town for a soccer tournament, the fields were directly across the street, super convenient. The staff was wonderful, and it was an overall great experience.

Breakfast choices could be better

The bathroom towels aren’t very soft. We stayed 3 nights and had housekeeping service the room after the second night. They made the beds but didn’t change the sheets and they never vacuumed the floors. Kind of disappointing.

No change in the breakfast every day, housekeeping was short staffed so we didn’t get our room cleaned and no new towels without going down or asking for them. We were not made aware of this at check in which was frustrating.

Zack was both friendly and very professional. He made sure that all of our requests were taken care of thank you Zack for everything. Checking in and out were taken care of without us having to wait for a long period of time. To the entire front office staff thanks again job well done.

Overnight stay while attending a funeral in the area. The hotel was in a good neighborhood, very clean and the staff was efficient. Breakfast was good and plentiful. I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

Everything was great but I really did not like the internet connection on my personal hot spot. I know it's out of your company's control in that location but that was the only bad thing because with my job I can't connect to free hotel internet when working. Everything was great and the front staff was amazing!

The staff was very accommodating. They address minor maintenance issues within minutes. They frequently checked in to make sure our stay was satisfactory.

Stayed at this hotel a year ago and the state of it declined significantly. The celling in the shower had lots if mold spots. We were only given one key, because they didn't more available. We also asked for sheets and a pillow for the sofa bed and they didn't have any.

Staff was amazing. Breakfast seemed old. Buscuits & sausage were hard. Hotel also isn't very sound. We could hear people in the rooms next to us and above us walking.

The room was neat and clean and roomy.

When we first signed in for the night, we were told that there were no handicap available rooms, even though I booked a handicap room because I needed to accommodate my very elderly father. When we asked for a room on the first floor, the room that we were assigned to us was not cleaned. However, we were able to get the last room on the first floor to that my father did not have to walk a long ways. The rest of our stay was very comfortable and quiet, and the breakfast was quite appetizing.

A room full of teenage boys next door with no adult supervision. One person on duty in the hotel. No security or any way to deal with the problem. The desk clerk was completely overwhelmed. Negative 10 stars. Ridiculous.

Room was clean and well maintained. The breakfast had issues with things being way overcooked, such as the sausage patties and the potatoes. Staff were great, very kind and interacted well with our 5 year old.

Room was dirty. The noise from pipes, and neighbors is terrible. When someone shuts a door the walls move. We barely could get any sleep.

Dee was very sweet and professional upon check in. I didn’t have any other interactions with anyone else but just the one with Dee I knew this was going to be a great stay. The breakfast had a lot of good choices accommodating to different diets as well.
