Motel 6 Lewisville, TX - Dallas

The room was very clean, but I felt like I was gonna be high as soon as I walked in the lobby. Had to get to my room and open the window immediately. Honestly 2 out of 10

This Motel 6 location has such potential. It's clean, its in a convenient area for our needs. However, the ridiculous smell of Marijuana in the entire motel is sickening. Not just in passing a room or two or in common areas, in the ENTIRE hotel. I have a sensitivity to it, so when I request a non smoking room I expect a room free of all types of smoke. There is a problem with water pressure as well. If you are running the shower or sink and someone else on your floor flushes a toilet, you have zero water. No hair dryer, which is pretty standard for all motels these days. The beds are hard as a rock. I love the good cleanliness reviews, but honestly thats about all this hotel has going for it. When we checked in the gentleman checking us in, shared no pleasantries, hello, how are you, etc. Just barked, ID. Then handed me a key and said Third Floor. I understand other cultures are different but if you are providing hospitality in the United States, a simple smile and hello goes a long way. We would have not checked in at all due to the marijuana issue but we had already paid for the room. We won't make that mistake again.

The pool was great very clean very welcoming. The beds were comfortable and clean as well as the room. We appreciate it having a mini fridge to freeze my ice packs. The staff came across as rude, air conditioning was less than optimal, we didn't have Wi-Fi for our entire stay and when I asked the staff members about it we were told it wasn't a guarantee but it was part of what attracted me to the hotel as a perk because I have horrible Wi-Fi signal. I got locked out of the hotel because my key card stopped working and had to walk all the way around the building this was very difficult for me because I'm on oxygen and Texas heat is horrible. When I told the staff about it I was told well if you would have kept your phone away from it it would have been fine. I never knew before that my phone would erase the data on the card. Good to know for the next place. Of course I stayed at thousands of motels and this was never an issue before.

Decent place. My main thing is that they are NOT racist. I’ll spend my money there anytime.

The room was fine but the hot water took a long time to come in and it was just a trickle. At one point it shut off totally while in the shower! Then it returned with a stronger flow. The other problem was the week smoking neighbors and the dog barking two doors down. I expected a no smoking floor and certainly not marijuana.

It’s a Motel 6…not much to expect.

The hotel has a very horrible smell well at least the 3 rooms on the first floor that I booked did and not to mention No hot water very disappointing the hot water in one of my rooms would only stay hot for 3 minutes the other two rooms had No hot water

Better initial interaction with check-in staff than previous stays at this property. The A/C blows right on someone sitting at the table using a computer and is extremely noisy and must be shut down at night to sleep. (Tip: Add plastic deflectors to direct the air flow up.) Water temperature and pressure are intermittent and on the inadequate side for taking a shower. I reported two gushers where sprinkler heads had broken off and the water flowed into the gutter rather than on the landscaping. The person who took the report seemed indifferent and unconcerned.

The room itself it's good for the price you pay. However, be prepared for slow AC, keys that deactivate constantly and weird noises...

Pool is closed and maids are hard to understand

It was a place to stay. Took to long to check in, room was ok, but place had a bad odor to it in the front lobby. Fortunately, our room was third floor and far down the corridor.

I booked 2 rooms. One room had a microwave and refrigerator and one didn't. The air conditioner grate was filthy. Very strange stains on the floor.

This was a quick visit and we just needed somewhere to sleep. The things that don’t give it a five stars; they gave us a joining room and the neighbors were up with the tv loud past 1am, our room was facing the brightest light in the parking lot and there were no toiletries other than a bar of soap. There were standing the sheets but we took our own so we didn’t fuss, the coffee bar is powdered creamer, the vending machines do have plenty of options to pick from. The front clerk was friendly.

AC unit was never working

The mattress had stain marks. The comforter had holes in it. The room we stayed had a common door inside the room to another room. Since we were a group of 6 people, we took those 2 rooms and didn't have an issue with it but it will be difficult for others if someone else took the other room. The room just had one small bar soap where 4 people were staying. Since we were just staying there for 1 day, we didn't mind these much but still the rooms were below par. The front desk did accommodate an early check in by 1pm but weren't as effectively communicated and it felt like disrespectful. Overall a 2 to 3 star experience.

I have stayed at this property about 10 times and it is very nice. I recommend this to everyone.

Let’s be real. It’s a Motel 6 in an okay area. Affordable. Does what you need it to do. But don’t expect amenities, know that your room will smell of smoke, and know that your back will hurt if you are over 30 because of the mattress. If you don’t mind all that, you’re home.

parking was good and property was nice. I have stayed here about 6 times and it has been real good.

You get what you pay for. Pros-the AC worked, the room was quiet, the TV worked, the bed was relatively comfortable, the elevator worked, the door lock worked properly, check-in was simple. Cons-the bathroom smelled like urine, there were only two small, flat pillows on the bed, there was no hair dryer or shampoo in the bathroom, the room was very small, there was only one outlet to charge phones on one nightstand, other outlet across the room didn't work, the whole placed reeked of pot. Very basic room-no refrigerator, coffee maker or microwave.

Saw two cockroaches in the first minute. Asked to do a refund and was only offered to switch rooms. Expedia contacted property and they still refused to refund the room. When one room has cockroaches th entire hotel does. Never stay there. Also a yellow stain on bed.

Parking was abundant. Staff helpful enough and polite. I could tell hotel was remodeled pretty recent. The reason I gave only three stars was bc this hotel is also an extended stay hotel and the residents are very comfortable there. The hotel smells of cigarette and other smoke. It was pretty noisy up until about 0400, could here kids jabbering and crying, people playing music. For the price the room was good.

What you pay for, nothing fancy but the bare minimum. There were bananas at the coffee area during breakfast time which was a nice surprise. I asked if luggage storage was a possibility the next morning and the evening guy had no problem with it but the morning guy had an opposite message. Better communication/standardization would have been nice. Don’t question the burn holes & stains in the sheets too much either.

Only one elevator and it was a long walk to my room. The room had way to much of a bad air freshener smell. My clothes even smelled bad the next day. The two vending machines were not working. I was happy that I only had one night there.

What made the experience even worse is that the listing clearly stated that the room included a small refrigerator. I specifically chose this motel because of that detail, but when I arrived, there was no refrigerator in the room at all. This was very misleading and felt like false advertising. When I spoke to the employee at the front desk, he simply told me there was nothing he could do about it and didn’t even try to help or offer any solution. There was no apology, no attempt to fix the issue, and no effort to provide another room or any compensation. Honestly, the least they could do in a situation like this is refund my money or offer some kind of compensation for the inconvenience and the misleading information. Customers should not have to deal with false promises and poor service like this. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience and I would not recommend staying here unless you want to deal with overcrowded conditions, poorly maintained rooms, and unhelpful staff. I am still waiting for a response regarding this issue.

After second day of no room service, I informed the front desk to which they responded, we'll handle it. They never did so!!! Third day i took pictures showed management expressed my frustration and let them know i would not be back. I stayed one additional day and once again No Room Service!!

There are signs of NO SMOKING everywhere but my room and the hallways smelled like cigarette smoke and Marijuana my entire stay. I didnt like that I had to keep getting my card reset. The towels were worn out and had holes in them. The blankets had cigarette burns. Although I appreciated housekeeping tyding up, I did not like housekeeping coming in every day-I was never notified that they did this. But they did a good job tyding up.

Roach infested

Everything seemed clean and the staff was friendly. However, as a single mom traveling with 2 small kids, my main concern was safety. When we arrived there were police that said it was safe just a minor issue but the next day when we were leaving there was an ambulance, fire and police. I also noticed random shoes in the middle of the lobby floor and what appeared to be some homeless people there in the parking lot late at night.

Had blood all over the sheets they swapped to a different room wich didnt have the big fridge i paid for was coverd in roach bugs the toilet was leaking water the hallways constantly smelled like drugs being smoked in a non smoking motel i was highly upset with our stay and would like a refund
