Reviews
The hotel is highly praised for its beautiful location, comfortable rooms, and attentive staff. The food, however, receives mixed reviews, with some guests finding it excellent and others feeling it's overpriced or not up to par.
- Beautiful location and comfortable rooms
- Attentive and friendly staff
- Mixed reviews on food quality and pricing
- Some rooms may require climbing stairs, which could be challenging for some guests

Really amazing place. Every single thing was so well thought out and everyone was so nice. The cottage was amazing and clean! The property is stunning! And we got to see some wildlife too! We will definitely be back! So relaxing and the pool and hot tub were lovely! Wonderful views! Delicious food! Great packages available!

The setting is breathtaking. So gorgeous. My only complaint is the mattress seemed way too old. The linens were lovely and the airconditioning was great, but they need to change the mattresses. The staff was very helpful and greeted us on the parking lot and carried our bags for us. The rooms and grounds are beautiful and we would love to go back sometime.
- 5/5
The room was nice and quiet. We went in February so the grounds were not green or blooming, but it was still a beautiful location to spend our Anniversary. The food was outstanding.
- 4.5/5
The pickleball courts were GREAT. Enjoyed the adjacent pavilion that included many tables and chairs with a beautiful fireplace and amenities. The continental breakfast could be improved.
- 5/5
THE PERFECT PLACE for a romantic, peaceful get-away! Room was well appointed and clean. Dinner and continental breakfast, while not five-star, were very good. All was quiet and intimate. Loved it
- 5/5
Fabulous stay in a relaxing setting.service was fabulous. loved our two night getaway
- 4.5/5
We really loved how quiet, peaceful and serene the location is. It's a perfect getaway from the chaos and distractions of everyday life. We enjoyed the views of raw, sprawling nature, the hiking trails, and the best massage we had had at the Garden Spa. The hot tub near the pool was amazing. The room was comfortable and very clean, felt more spacious than it looked in the pictures. Everything worked well in the room. The staff were friendly and helpful. The food didn't meet our expectation. The steak and baby back ribs specifically were pretty mediocre. We also thought breakfast would be free but then found out it was only free for the continental part which was full of carbs and didn't have protein or fat, which means we had to spend and order from the menu.
- 5/5
Excellent service, beautiful grounds. Perfect stay!
- 5/5
Beautiful room and bathroom, the property itself is gorgeous. Feels like a retreat. Staff is so nice and helpful. Would love to stay here again!
- 5/5
This is a hidden secret! What a BEAUTIFUL place to stay. Cabin was perfect! Grounds Beautiful! Food Delicious! Staff do very friendly! I will be back!
- 5/5
Absolutely recommend this property if you’re looking for a nice, quiet getaway. Dinner was amazing and breakfast was very good.
- 5/5
The staff were very helpful and accommodating. The cottage we booked was very clean and comfortable and the bed was very comfortable. I had the most amazing massage at the spa and highly recommend Laura!!! We enjoyed the pool, the walking trails and wildlife and the sun sets were beautiful!! And the pickleball courts were great :-)
- 4/5
The property was scenic and nice. The pool was great. The Inn is quite dated and run down. We had very old, dirty-looking carpet in our room. The vents were dirty and rusty. It really needs a renovation.
- 5/5
I found a little secret in the hill country...born and raised in Texas I found a little gem. We arrived to a warm dinner waiting for us in our room as we arrived after dinner service. The next morning we woke up & strolled down to the Inn for breakfast which was delicious. Our room was very comfortable and we loved the rocking chairs on the porch. The location was centrally located to the airport and downtown Austin fun! We didn't have the chance to use the Spa but will be back to try it and the pickleball courts!
- 4.5/5
Beautiful property with great staff.
- 5/5
Everything about this place is truly amazing
- 4/5
Property is well maintained, for the food, the salad was great. The dinner didn't work well for me for two nights. Food was not seasoned
- 4/5
The Kyle from was ideal, rustic, but with every possible amenities one could think of. The surrounding nature and quietness was absolutely gorgeous. I enjoyed so much peace. The dining experience was my least favorite, this time. Breakfast was good, but dinner was not pleasing to the palate, at least not for my husband and me. We stayed three nights and it was only the third evening that we saw an improvement on the meal. To their credit, I was told at checkout that the new Chef had just started working that very evening. But overall, everything else was super cool and I will return again on my next mini-me vacation.
- 5/5
This place is amazing in every aspect. The views, the staff, the food and the amenities were all outstanding. We had a relaxing time spending our honeymoon here. Highly recommend the Hays room! 10/10
- 5/5
We came here for my birthday staycation, not too far from home. The spa was amazing and overall, the staff was good with the exception of the dinner staff who weren’t as friendly. The dinners were really good though, so it made up for it. The breakfast was delicious as well. Our only complaint is we are pickleball players and we were really looking forward to playing that weekend, while we had time. However, some tournament for a club was booked and they reserved all of the courts. By the time we got to play, it was too windy and began to rain. I think that at least one court should be for guests only. The hiking was nice. The hot tub had a bad bee problem, it seemed there was a nest under the deck, but I informed the front desk and they seemed genuinely concerned so I’m sure that’s been resolved. Overall, we would come back but call before booking to ensure the courts would have some availability.
- 5/5
I had an incredible stay. The nature out there was soothing. Great little hikes around the property. The nance room was lovely with calming views. The bed was comfortable and easy to sleep on. By the pool I felt like I was in Italy. The staff were overall friendly. The food was tasty too.
- 5/5
Was different from a "city" hotel. It was rustic but nice for a change.
- 5/5
Fabulous
- 5/5
We loved our stay at Sage Hill Inn. It is a wonderful place to relax and recover and to spread out to other great spots in the hill country.
- 3.5/5
The room and the property is beautiful. Massage was great and much needed. Everyone was friendly enough and they put our dinner in our room Friday night as we were getting in late. This is definitely a good place to stay to slow down from day to day life with your spouse and just enjoy some quiet quality time together. There was no microwave in the room to heat anything up, you have to go down and use the one in the library. Be prepared to tip. Also if you need anything don't try texting the number or using the request on the TV no one gets to them. If it's really important just go down to the office when someone was there, also if you are looking forward to cookies throughout the day just keep in mind that they won't be out until around 3pm or so. Oh also the bed was just off. I couldn't put my finger on what it was maybe the mattress just needs flipped I'm notsure
- 5/5
Lovely staff
- 4.5/5
Continental breakfast and dinner being included was great. The free waters and cookies and drinks in the day and the hot tub were excellent. Spa experience was excellent and all the staff were helpful. For the pecan cottage, the bed could use updating and the door lock is quite stiff and could use fixing. Dinner food was excellent 1 night and the next night was only okay.
- 5/5
Very nice people very nice environment

Beautiful place
- 5/5
I loved the friendliness of the staff and the ease of access to all the amenities. I loved the touches everywhere with thought … water stations outside, hiking sticks, towels by the pool, blankets near fireplaces, complimentary drinks in the fridge, a very comfortable bed, beautiful pickleball facility, places to relax and swing a nice deck with sun and shade I would have preferred to know in advance about the dining gratuities, as it was advertised as all-inclusive.
- 5/5
The reason I stayed was it was all inclusive. I figured out it was better than staying at a hotel for what you would get. They had a wonderful dinner that evening - three course meal and breakfast was out standing with homemade cinnamon rolls and fresh cut fruit and other yummy items. You could also get a homemade fresh breakfast with eggs, etc. The room was so nice and clean and the area was so quiet and beautiful views. Staff was so nice and helpful. You could swim laps in the pool and did you say pickleball - wonderful courts. Nothing.
- 5/5
One of the best place I’ve ever stayed at. Magical location and view, lots of cosy lounging areas, massive pool, lovely room and food and the best staff. We spoke with Brad, the manager, about the history and wildlife, very nice and professional team. Thank you Brad! The photos don’t do it justice!! We’ll definitely go back if in Texas! Nothing. I only wished we had more time there!
- 4.5/5
Very quite and low key The view, the pool and the food was very good. Staff was very nice and helpful.
- 5/5
Outstanding from all perspectives
- 5/5
Do accommodating and excellent quality in all aspects Food is amazing great WiFi and smart tv if you want to snuggle up to a movie ! Love the bed and sheets plus the dinner that’s included is farm to table excellent!!
- 4/5
Beautiful setting and lovely staff. The food. It really was OK at best and sometimes even not good. It would be better to give up on dinner and focus on a nicer breakfast - or just charge a bit less.
- 1.5/5
We went for pickleball, there are no wind screens, and the courts - on top of a hill, are ALWAYS windy - I went alone, and although communal seating is advertised, I was seated alone. There were dead bugs on the window sills, rust on the hand mirror, door hinges squeaked loudly, window shade was broken - overall needed much more attention to details if they are charging a premium - my room was $400+ a night.
- 4/5
The quiet restful atmosphere. The heat in the room did not funvction properly. The bed squeaked. I requested garlic-free food in advance. I had to remind them every night at dinner, and my dinner was still prepated with the rest of the guests (with garlic). I even checked with the front desk to be sure my request had been annotated. It was.
- 5/5
The staff was polite and very knowledgeable. The ranch house was extremely clean and had everything we needed. Beds were absolutely comfortable, beautiful home. Breakfast was also delicious. Nothing
- 4.5/5
nice rooms, spacious bathroom with jacuzzi, beautiful views, swimming pool, trails, outdoor fireplace. Above all the staff was very attentive and caring and accommodated all our requests (a shoutout for Savannah) nothing
- 5/5
Excellent customer service, fresh menu items and the relaxing atmosphere make this one of the best kept secrets in the surrounding Austin area. Management and staff are professional, friendly and very responsive. Massage therapists are top notch. Comfy accommodations in an authentic hill county, chilled atmosphere make for an exceptional combination that is difficult to find.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the beauty and peace and quiet of the property. We were graced with a variety of wildflowers as we walked the longest trail. The gas powered fire pits are attractive and reliable. The food is convenient and service was pleasant. I'd give the taste of the food 4 of 5 stars, but we'd still come again because of the total experience.
- 4/5
The 1/2 distance the hotel sits from HWY 150 and foliage in between made for zero traffic noise! Very relaxing!
- 5/5
The property is amazing and the room/food and amenities were beyond our expectations; & the bed was phenomenal! Will make this an annual or more often of a must do trip.
- 5/5
I loved it here and
- 5/5
I could not give an excellent grade for food! This was the only thing which could be improved to make the whole experience outstanding.
- 5/5
Relaxing stay in a beautiful location. Perfect place for a change of scenery. The WiFi doesn’t work in some rooms. We stayed in the Mountain Laurel Cottage and there was none. Great for relaxing, but don’t expect to work remotely. The massages at the spa were wonderful. I’m a vegan with food allergies and the dinner was fantastic too.
- 5/5
Sage Hill is a hidden gem and must see. It is a very tranquil property with lots to explore. The Red Oak cottage was very nice and the all inclusive continental breakfast and dinner was excellent. I had the best two dinners ever here! I highly recommend this resort for those seeking R&R.
- 5/5
Loved Sage Hill Inn! Beautiful setting. Delicious food. Very comfortable accommodations. Highly recommend.
- 5/5
We always enjoy our time here! Food is delish and it’s a nice change always.
- 4/5
Overall not worth the exorbitant price. It seems they are working on very limited resources. There is much better value out there.
- 5/5
We rented the Ranch House for a family Thanksgiving. A major success by every measure. We COULD NOT have had more fun or better food.
- 5/5
Fantastic location, great staff and lovely rooms. The breakfast and dinner included in the room rate are amazing.
- 5/5
If you are looking for a lovely getaway, this is the place to do it. Such a peaceful place - Hiked, swam In the cleanest pool ever, did a couples massage, and indulged is a spa bath in my room. Beautiful View of what looked like the entire hill country. The weather during my stay was hot so fire pit and room fire place were not utilized but what a lovely touch when the weather gets cooler. You are so close to Austin yet so far away. It was a lovely stay.
- 5/5
Beautiful, clean rooms, amazing views and gourmet food. One of the best B&B's that we have stayed in!
- 5/5
Best dinner in the hill country. Romantic rooms, comfy beds, BEST lotion ever.
- 5/5
Beautiful location, exquisite dining, and excellent service!
- 4/5
Wife and I needed a weekend away to enjoy a peaceful get away place to relax. We found that with the Sage Hill Inn. The staff was wonderful; very pleasant and made us feel at home. Dining was excellent; delicious and well prepared. The facilities gave us that rustic appeal and a romamtic setting all in one place. We drove three hours to get to the Sage Hill Inn; it was worth effort and time. If you are looking for nature trails ... The Sage Hill Inn and Spa has it too. The grounds in and around the Inn are beautiful. Recommend the Sage Hill Inn to anyone looking for a place to relax and get away from it all.
- 4/5
We stayed in Maurice?s cottage and loved having space private from the Inn. It was a short walk for meals or to the pool, we enjoyed using the hiking trail for longer morning walks. The meals and service were excellent! We enjoyed the pool and gorgeous sunset views the most. We will definitely be back.
- 5/5
I traveled there with 8 girls in July 2018. It was the best mini getaway ever! When you arrive, it feels like you're secluded, but in reality, there are stores nearby (which for me was comforting). The Inn is beautiful, the rooms, the spa, the pool all amazing. There's so much to do while you're there: swimming, hiking, sit around campfires, go into the library and play games from their selections. It's a quiet place so don't expect to blast music or anything... But this is exactly what we were looking for. A relaxing weekend of chatting and bonding. The food was SO good!! I highly recommend this place for a couple getaway or a girls getaway!
- 5/5
Place was wonderful.
- 5/5
This was an anniversary stay for us. I've stayed here on business 3 times previously, this was my first leisure stay. Facility was clean, quiet enough to take in the sounds of the surrounding nature with a staff that was working behind the scenes to make sure everything was taking care of for you. The food was as good as advertised and on a night we couldn't return in time for dinner, the staff prepared a meal and had it waiting for us in our room when we returned later that night. We will be making the Sage Hill Inn our anniversary getaway destination going forward.
- 5/5
We love Sage Hill! Its a peaceful getaway with beautiful views and excellent food. The pool is fantastic for relaxing! Totally recommend this place.
- 4/5
I doubted all the 5-start reviews and didn't think there could be a place that could leave me so satisfied. It's quiet, secluded, beautiful, lots of amenities, and many small details taken care of that never occurred to me to think of (s'mores kits for the fireplace, bottled water in many locations in the property, bug spray in the room, walking sticks, etc). We'll be back.
- 5/5
Words cannot express how happy I was to have found this place. It was the perfect location for my husband and me to celebrate our 25th anniversary. The peace and serenity found on this piece of land are amazing. We normally do not return to the same vacation spot twice, but this will be an exception. I definitely see us returning yearly. The attention to details blew me away. We loved the cottage, the gardens, the pool, hiking trails, fire pit, and food. Chef Benjamin is a masterful chef. Brad and his staff know how to treat their guest.

The Sage Hill Inn was an outstanding choice for our quick 2 day vacation. The included breakfast and dinner were excellent. Don't forget to visit the immaculate gardens and the scenic trails.
- 5/5
Excellent environment and getaway. Great hiking trails and shaded pool.
- 4/5
This year started off with one issue after another - I decided we need to get away! It was our 10th anniversary and both our birthdays were within the week. I stumbled on Sage Hill Inn while searching the Internet for a weekend getaway close to home. I could not have chosen a better place. All of this was a surprise to my husband. He had no idea where we were going or what to expect. The Inn is simply adorable and so relaxing. Acres and acres of scenery, great sounds of nature, beautiful sunsets and exquisite food for both breakfast and dinner. The staff is all so friendly, every part of the Inn is clean and well maintained. In addition to the wonderful food, our All the time in the world massage was absolutely wonderful. I highly recommend Sage Hill Inn for an awesome, relaxing, rejuvenating, get away.
- 5/5
Breakfast and dinner are included and are outstanding. Expect something elegant and fulfilling. They post their menus online ahead of your stay and they will make accommodations for those with allergies or special diet preferences. Go to the small Wimberly HEB for some bread, salami, cheese or other culinary vices. There are two wineries that are close by. Our favorite is Wimberly Valley Winery, but Duchman is a close second. We buy wine at both. There are also local breweries and an olive farm. If you want to venture off site, Wimberly is 15 minutes away. You can spent two days there eating and shopping your way through the quaint little town. Be advised most stores are closed Monday and Tuesday, and about half are closed Wednesday. The location of Sage Hill is IMHO too far away to be a hub if you wish to visit Fredericksburg/Comfort/Boerne. There's plenty to do in Wimberly if you need civilization, even more to do if you venture up the road to San Marcos. Gruene is a reasonable day trip from Sage Hill if you must. We enjoy a warm weather stay and a cold weather stay each year. We've stopped looking for any other B & B in the Texas Hill Country. It's futile to find one better.
- 4/5
The food is great & served with fresh vegetables from their own beautiful gardens. My only complaint was that we had a lunch along with our spa package & we weren't aware that it would be a box lunch. Also, we didn't have any input on what the lunch consisted of. My daughter is a vegetarian & they fixed turkey sandwiches. The chef was quick to substitute a vege wrap for her but didn't seem to have much choice of veges on hand in the kitchen so it was just OK. I didn't indicate she was a vegetarian on the reservation because the regular dinner menu had a vegetarian choice. There just needs to be better communication about lunch options since the kitchen doesn't ordinarily serve lunch. Other than those two minor problems, the setting, the wildlife, the staff and the spa treatments were so enjoyable that we look forward to returning.
- 5/5
A friend and I came for a two-day getaway during the week, when we almost had the place to ourselves. We stayed in Thelma's Cottage so each of us could have her own room with a bath. The cottage was deep in the woods and yet right off the circular path that goes all around the property, so we could walk to the Inn for meals in just a few minutes. We value privacy, and we had plenty of it with our own backyard and private fire pit. The cottage has floor to ceiling windows, so even when we were relaxing indoors we felt like we were in the woods. We saw deer, wild turkeys and many kinds of birds. The food was exceptional and the service friendly and personal. We chatted with Ben, the chef, after dinner the first night, and when he learned we loved vegetables, he planned a special meal for us the next night, which was fabulous. Oh, and the products they use in your room, like lotion and hand soap, were absolutely amazing! I am busy trying to plan my next visit. You couldn't go wrong staying here, although I do recommend coming during the week if you don't want to be around a lot of people.
- 5/5
In a mere 20 hours at the Sage Hill Inn, we felt totally relaxed. Just a short drive from Austin, it's an incredibly peaceful place--very quiet and serene. All the exteriors and common areas are comfortably rustic while our room was fresh and contemporary. Dinner and breakfast were outstanding and we even had a chance to chat with the chef for a few minutes. He's an engaging guy with an impressive resume. The other staff members are friendly, too, and they have anticipated their guests' every need. We plan to return later this year to unplug for a little while again.
- 5/5
This place is awesome! It was a bit pricier than other places I looked at in the area, but the resort amenities were much better than I expected & I felt like we got a great deal when we considered everything that was included. Prepare to be pampered!
- 5/5
90 acres to wander. Friendly folks everywhere. Awesome dinner and breakfast. We?ll be back
- 4/5
This was our fourth stay at the Inn and it was just as good as always. Everything is so delightful from our room to the beautiful grounds and the dining. This has been and still remains one of our favourite places to stay in the US.
- 5/5
Sage Hill Inn & Spa was beautiful and the food delicious. I definitely want to come back with more time to enjoy the spa! Very peaceful and relaxing.
- 5/5
The place was fantastic, we really enjoyed our stay
- 5/5
Wow! We stumbled across the Inn online and booked 2 nights. It was so amazing we added a third night. Beautiful surroundings, great rooms and views. Lovely little touches everywhere and excellent service. Food was fantastic - just wish the menu (even just item per course) changed a little more frequently but everything was beautifully cooked and local. Loved wandering through the grounds and gardens. Could not have been a more perfect place to unwind after our Texas road trip.
- 5/5
beautiful place, great staff, very romantic.
- 5/5
Wonderful, relaxing place, we visit as often as we can
- 4/5
We loved our stay and wish we had had longer. Grounds are beautiful. Accommodations are perfect. Meal was delicious. Will come back for a longer stay.
- 4/5
Sage Hill Inn is very quiet and peaceful. Highly recommended. The only downside was a group that came in for dinner sat at the bond fire and played music over their cell phones. Masking the natural night sounds. I'm sure that is a one off event since they ask you to please only play music in headphones.
- 5/5
We look for Select Registry properties when we travel. Sage Hill Inn and Spa deserves all of the accolades it has received. We felt a sense of serenity as soon as we turned into the entrance to the property. This is such a beautiful piece of property, and the beauty was enhanced by all of the wildflowers on the property that were blooming. Check in was a breeze and we immediately felt welcome. We stayed in the Schlemmer room, which is quite spacious. We loved the decor and the amenities. This would not be a good room choice for someone who is mobility challenged, as it is a steep climb up to the room. The views are worth the climb, however. Chef Benjamin and his staff prepared wonderful breakfasts each morning and outstanding 3 course dinners that were expertly seasoned with herbs from the inn?s gardens. Menus feature many vegetables that are harvested on the property daily. We will return again as soon as we can! We have already recommended this getaway to others! The Phelps' Atlanta, GA .

If you want a getaway that you will remember for the rest of your life, then take a week off at Sage Hill

We had a great time relaxing and enjoyed the scenery.

I highly recommend staying here. Go ahead and get a massage and let your wife get a facial while you're at it. We really enjoyed it!
- 5/5
?Outstanding? on all of the above, plus the spa is great! We only live 20 minutes away, but Sage Hill feels like a total get-away.
- 5/5
We've stayed at the Sage Hill Inn around 10 different times and absolutely love it. The food is great, the beds are comfy, and the massages are wonderful.
- 4/5
My wife and I spent last weekend at this beautiful property. We can't say enough great things about it. We stayed At Maurice cottage and we love it. Plenty of space, great amenities and peace & relaxation anywhere u looked. The staff was always polite and nice, making u feel comfortable and welcomed. The only thing that I was thought was very good but not great was the food. I'm just trying to find something to comment on. We loved this place.
- 5/5
This was a great weekend getaway! The staff was pleasant and helpful. The food was well prepared and tasty. The room was clean and comfortable. The atmosphere is very quiet and peaceful coupled with the massage we got, we were thoroughly relaxed.
- 4/5
So excited to find this beautiful place! We'll definitely be going back!
- 5/5
We stayed at the Sage Hill Inn for one night. The staff was very friendly and super helpful, the meals were delicious, and the grounds were beautiful. We stayed in the Nance suite and the views from the windows throughout the suite did not disappoint. I would highly recommend staying at the Sage Hill Inn and would do it again.
- 5/5
Always a pleasure staying at Sage Hill Inn, loved this visit away the city.
- 5/5
We enjoyed staying here for our anniversary! Nance suite has a beautiful view from every room in the suite! Lots to do in the area also!
- 4/5
The Sage Hill Inn is fairly close to home. This was our first visit of many more we plan to make. It is clearly a place to pause life and recharge. The grounds are so inviting, the rooms are comfortable while your every need to met. We not only we greeted by wonderful staff but our room was waiting for us with fireplace going. They absolutely thought of everything. Can't wait to return....
- 4/5
Thanks
- 4/5
We celebrated our 10yr Anniversary by going back to the Inn where we had stayed 10yrs prior. They have made great updates, but have kept the warmth, personalized and relaxing experience. I now have a mental note NOT to wait another 10yrs before going back!
- 4/5
We hiked around the property and it was fantastic. Love it and will return in the future. Houstonian One.
- 5/5
We stayed in Maurice's Cottage. It was quiet, lovely, and a perfect quick get-away for us to celebrate. Dining was amazing, staff was friendly. Nothing but good things to say. We will definitely return.
- 3/5
had a great stay. Have been going to this location for many years. Wasn't crazy about the menu being the same selections each day. Prefer it as it was when the previous owners had the property and had unique selections each day for meals. Also enjoyed the family style seating the previous owners had set up for meals. One of the highlights of our past trips have been to visit with guests and hanging out with them. We had purchased a room for 1 night for my step son and his girlfriend while we were there. The bathtub jets didn't work. While we appreciate the gift card for future use on a stay, for the amount of money we paid for the room, it would have been nice if the bathtub worked correctly.
- 3/5
We were celebrating our 50th anniversary and this was are first time to stay here. We had a wonderful time and it was more than we were expecting. Great food, trails, and accommodations. We plan to come back during the fall with hope that we can use the beautiful swimming pool & hot tub. We would recommend Sage Hill Inn to anyone who would enjoy a relaxing getaway!!
- 4/5
Sage Hill is such a perfect getaway for me. Either by myself, with a group of girls or my hubby or more family members. The setting is perfect. So close to Austin, yet I feel like I?ve gotten away. I?ve stayed in at least half of the rooms over the years and have zero negatives. If there?s ever a problem, the staff is quick and responsive. They have a new chef. The food is good but not wow. Bocce ball court, hammocks, walking trails, great fire pit and great spa.
- 2/5
Thelma's Cottage needs a deep cleaning and lots of bugs and worms. Only surface cleaning. The cottage had no internet service and management was made aware of this, but did not do anything to correct the issue. No bottle open in the room.
- 2/5
Spa was excellent. Food was marginal and for the price of the stay very unflexible and choices were limited. In all very nice stay but food and lack of internet disappointing.
- 4/5
We didn't feel the need to leave the property all weekend, plenty to do and a relaxing environment. Will be returning soon
- 5/5
Great property. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Wonderful food. Quiet and tranquil atmosphere.
- 5/5
My husband and I came to Sage Hill Inn and Spa after our wedding. The late check-in was so easy and they even served us dinner to our room prior to our arrival. The room was perfect and very cozy! The spa was an amazing experience as well! The entire staff were all very welcoming. We can?t wait to return to Sage Hill Inn and Spa!
- 4/5
My husband and I stayed at Thelma's Cottage for a few nights for a mini-moon getaway after getting married in Wimberley. Thelma's cottage was beautiful, the giant windows and private backyard with fire pit and hammock were perfect. The cottage had a full living room and galley kitchen with a fireplace and two huge bathrooms. The backyard went right up to one of the hiking trails and we even saw a few deer in our yard in the early morning. The service at the inn was excellent, from the front desk check in and tour of the property, to the spa attendants, to the dining servers everyone was pleasant and helpful. The grounds are beautiful and serene, the pool was clean and peaceful. Our only complaint was that the hot tub wasn't very hot...we stayed at the inn just after the first fall cold front.
- 4/5
Great stay! Rooms were perfect. Food was amazing! Can?t wait to come back.
- 5/5
So we have just returned from our second stay at the wonderful Sage Hill Inn. The second we arrived my wife and I could feel the stress slip away. The views are spectacular and it is so quiet and peaceful here, you can't help but forget about the real world. The food is amazing. The rooms and beds are amazing. The staff are amazing. We are always sad to leave, but know we will be back next year for another wonderful relaxing time. Thank-you.

It was a perfect getaway, beautiful setting, lovely grounds and garden. I was very impressed with the management and low-key, but excellent service.

We stayed the weekend here with friends. Nice setting and atmosphere. Overall, we had a wonderful experience because our friends stayed here too. I would not come back alone because I think it is overpriced for the room/service/food. The food was just ok. It was nothing special-- tasted like recipes out of a cookbook. Nothing imaginative or truly awesome. My husband and I have stayed at several resorts where the room rate is in the $500-700/night range. This experience just fell short of meeting our expectations for the price. Our experience here was more on par with resorts in the $300-$400/night range. I will probably seek out other options in the future before booking here again.
