First, I specifically booked a room that was supposed to have two queen beds and a sleeper sofa, accommodating five guests. Instead, we were given a room with two queen beds and a chair. This is not the room configuration I reserved and does not provide the sleeping accommodations needed for five people. The condition of the hotel was also very disappointing. The moment the elevator doors opened on the second floor, there was an immediate and very noticeable musty, mildew-like odor throughout the hallway. The bathroom in our room was not properly cleaned, and the toiletries provided in the bathroom were empty. The pool was cloudy and did not appear well maintained, which made us uncomfortable using it. We also discovered there was no hot tub, despite our expectation of the hotel amenities when booking. Any one of these issues would have been frustrating, but collectively they made the experience especially disappointing. After driving six hours, the last thing we expected was to arrive tired and find that the room we reserved was not what we received, the floor smelled of mildew, the bathroom was dirty, basic toiletries had not been replenished, and the recreational amenities were not what we anticipated. Rather than being able to settle in and enjoy our stay, we were left feeling frustrated

A few issues in the room but were fixed. Never had any hot water in the lobby for tea.

This place was very dirty. Pool didn’t work, ice machines out of service. Water damage noted throughout. Air didn’t work in hallways. Terrible smell. Lady gave me ice from the kitchen area. Freezer was rusty, no handwashing. Noted water damage to cabinets.

It was very clean

Front desk knew nothing about the room and couldn’t tell us if we needed sheets or anything and then aguring when we asked for more towels when we had 6 of us in the room.

Clean room, my teens liked that the clock had a Bluetooth connection. Staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast staff was very friendly. Overall the stay was great and close to Schlitterbahn.

The location was great, but the sign needs to be larger, missed first time, had to go around second time.

All the ice makers down, hall ways smelled of mildew. Had water leaks. From bathrooms. Not safe to stay or for the staff. The owner should sell to a responsible person.

Some of the staff was very accomodating, polite and tried to improve my room situation but another staffer that was there most often although having a pleasant smile was more occupied with her phone that acknowledging me. The first room I was to check into on the second floor the door could not be opened when I came to the front desk since I was traveling with a dog I was offered a first floor room 106. The staff failed to inform me that the electrical outlets did not work bedside or in the bathroom, I had to go to my event with wet hair as I had no time to explore if it was an outlet situation or a hair dryer problem. The room door did not close properly and by my 3rd night it would not lock at all and I was moved to yet a third room. I took my dog out of the side doors to relieve herself but was unable to use a key fob to come back in that way and had to return to the front lobby to reach my room. When I asked about that I was told that happpens some time. Later I was told that both my room and the hall exit door was a known problem and they were waiting on a electrician who had done a shoddy job initially. Also the grass around the property was quite tall and there were some trip hazards like garden hoses left out and cinder blocks. The hallway on my side of the property smelled extremely musty and damp. The room did not smell bad or other areas of the hotel were ok.

Joe at check in was great. The rest was horrible. The hot tub was filled in with cement. The pool was cloudy like a dead body may be in the bottom. The pool gate lock was cut off and the gate itself was rusty and sharp edged. The side entrance door had no lock so any methhead could enter the propped open door 24x7. The elevator was out of service. The door entering the 2nd floor from the stairwell was stuck like the foundation had moved. As for the room, the lowest volume on the tv was 10 and the tub was chipped and banged up. The windows were grossly stained so one could hardly see outside. The room was clean so props to the housekeeping staff! They and Joe get Five Stars. The rest is sad because I had stayed here many times since this was brand new. This place is severely run down. I am pleased that Expedia gave me a 50% credit on my account. I cannot return to this property.
- 3/5
I arrived @4pm Saturday and I was told him a room was not ready and I was asked if I wanted to wait 45 minutes or take another room from a king size to a double bed we should that time I was tired so I said okay when I got to my room the new room was not ready. And for what I saw I was not the only one.
- 2/5
None of the outlets in the bathroom worked. Wife had to shower at my daughters to dry her hair by a mirror. The fridge would fall out of the cabinet of yo7 opened the cabinet door. It was missing half of it feet.
- 2/5
Didn’t take a shower as the tub was nasty. Faucet to the sink was loose and wobbly. Bed seemed to be clean along with the floors.
- 2/5
The elevator was broken. The door keys would not work even after being moved to a different room. We were forced to go to the front desk and have staff escort us to our room to let us in every time we left the hotel.
- 3/5
No working elevator. Had to switch rooms because the keys weren’t working on our reserved room. So up and down and up and down. No ice in the ice machine on the second floor…so up and down and up and down. Still charged full price though. Oh…and the toilet was leaking from the bottom.

Building was hot Elevator was broken Our room could have been better, couch was dirty, shower was dirty, body soap was low, ran out of clean towels, dead bug in our room, light missing a bulb

Ice machine was broken, elevator was broken, breakfast wasn’t much to talk about and they didn’t keep the coffee earns refilled. Will never stay here again
- 1/5
The first room they gave me was never cleaned. I maid bed, dirty towels on the floor. Second room they gave me was not much better but seemed to have clean towels. I asked for more bedsheets and bedding and changed it myself. Tables and desk were dirty in the room and the refrigerator was leaking into the floor. Bathtub had rust all in the bottom of it. Was just not the best experience but I made it work .

Clean room and good customer service
- 1/5
First I only booked the room due to it advertising that there was a hot tub. False they do not. I mentioned that and the front desk said there’s nothing they do for advertisement. The room keys didn’t work so they switched our rooms and again the room keys stopped working, went to take a hot bath and the tub had rust along with the faucets, I took pictures and showed the front desk and they said that had do with house keeping. I asked to speak to a manager and wanted a refund and was told I’d have to call back. Tried calling and unable to speak to manager. Very disappointed.

Dingy, Dirty, Sad.
- 1/5
The first room was not made up. The front door did not lock on the next two rooms. They were having trouble getting another room so I had to leave and stay with relatives. They said to contact Hotels.com for a refund. I tried for two hours to contact Hotels.com but was either put on hold or sent in button circle. I would like a refund if there is anyone or any bot reading this note.
- 5/5
Yes other guests bright pets. The desk staff were very nice and knew how to operate the business. The room itself was very clean. Our only gripe is how small the bathrooms were. We're used to La Quinta having larger bathrooms. In the future we will stay here again.
- 1/5
If I could give zero stars I would. The man was extremely rude, my room was filthy, and the bathroom was so disgusting I opted for a truck stop shower.
- 5/5
We stayed for 3 nights and loved our stay! All the staff was helpful and kind.
- 3/5
Property looks understaffed. Room wasn't really clean and smelled like somebody smoked inside even though the room should be smoke free.
- 4/5
Good overall experience. Everything was clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
I booked this hotel based on the description saying hot tub is available but representative said it has been closed down for some time already. I needed the tub for some therapy on my leg.
- 2/5
The rooms where good, the elevator was not working. The waffles had a bad taste to them, like if the batter was rancid.
- 5/5
Everything is ok
- 5/5
Nice, clean & great stay other than lady checking us in was a little rude! These are the jobs they choose to do but yet they tend to be rude instead of being welcoming when someone comes from out of town to stay at these hotels!
- 5/5
Room was spotless and staff was so welcoming 🙂
- 4/5
The room was nice and I love that I can keep my dogs with me. The bathroom was acting funny, toilet, sink and shower all bubbling. Over all not bad for price.
- 3/5
The water is lukewarm. So disappointing, especially on such a cold night. Also, it’s 40° out and we walked in to the AC on. There was a couple arguing in the hallway for about 10 minutes, so that was also unpleasant.

Overall the stay was very good…4.5 stars! They were under construction in some areas, but not noticeable on our floor (3rd). Our original king size room’s A/C and bathroom fan didn’t work, so they upgraded us to a suite for free. (Apparently bathroom fans are on the list to be renovated as this one didn’t work either.) A hearty breakfast was included (scrambled eggs, sausage, waffle maker, biscuits and gravy, cereal, fruit, yogurt, muffins, juices…), and the woman running the kitchen was very friendly and helpful (she gave me some ice as the ice machine on our floor wasn’t working.) Overall, staff was great, and the only demerits were for the bathroom fan and ice machines. Highly recommend this La Quinta!

The hotel staff would not do anything about it. We didn’t even unpack, we checked out and left a message for the manager.
- 3/5
The staff were polite and helpful. The location was great for our activities and visit. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable. Renovations were being done so some quirks but not any real deal breakers. It was a good trip.
- 1/5
Roaches in rooms, under construction which was not mentioned that they would be when booked 3 months ago. Rooms were dirty, curtains torn and wet paint on door of my room as I was coming and going and water on floor by fridge
- 1/5
No ice buckets, refrigerator did not work in our first room, changed rooms and door lock on the inside did not work
- 3/5
We did not realize the hotel was being remodeled. Very dusty and generally not clean in common areas. Several outlets in our room did not work. Night staff was not very friendly. Day staff was very friendly including the breakfast bar staff, always said good morning with a smile.
- 5/5
Didn't use hot tub. Shower in room water was great. Super hot
- 4/5
Breakfast was nice and tasty. Love the biscuits and gravy. Did not have a car so that didn’t matter. Hotel was undergoing renovation so that was a small issue.

They are doing construction on the building on the first floor. However, it was not blocked off well so there was trash and dust everywhere. The room keys didn’t work properly. We had to ask multiple times for it to work. We were asked multiple times online how many people and then there weren’t enough towels for us he 4 of us.

Friendly Staff

The mattress, bedding and room was comfortable, but upon arrival, we found that the small waste can was full of trash, and there was a candy wrapper on the floor. The bathtub/shower was very basic. The front desk clerk had a big sucker sticking out of her mouth when we checked and she was talking to us. Part of the hotel was being renovated, and the floor of the single elevator was a mess.

The entrance was tricky i passed it because the one that is isnt clear. Check in was easy, staff was ok (not friendly but not rude). The room was nice and cold and the bed was comfortable. But we didnt know they were doing construction and our room had paint splatter everywhere, the restroom door didnt close because it was poorly sized and they didnt sweep the room which was obvious by the dust bunnies. It made me wonder if the sheets were even changed when i thought about it more. They did have signs by the elevator apologizing for the construction but i would have prefered the room we were in was not still a work in progress. It looks like it will get better but for now, i was not thrilled.

This location is under renovation, the hotel is very dusty in hallways, our room refrigerator was leaking had water on floor, baseboards were dusty. Bathroom had gnats in tub, dead bugs in bathroom also. Definitely will not return to this location
- 4/5
Renovation happening but staff are couteous and very helpful.
- 1/5
Dirty, smelly, Noisy, missing phone. Missing light bulbs, TV didn't work.
- 1/5
First problem-no notice of renovation Went to room, didn’t get that good of a look as we had to leave right away. Our bad. Second problem-state of room. No toilet paper or even toilet paper dispenser. Bathtub looked as if someone put cleanser on and then left it. The floor in the bathroom was seriously dirty. The floor in the hallway was atrocious. There were no light bulbs in the lights next to bed, no electrical to far side of bed. The list goes on, but you get my drift. Went and discussed with gentleman at desk the next morning. He was not happy that I wanted money back for second night because I was not staying again. Late night first night kinda stuck. This property should not be booking rooms while renovating. These conditions are not suitable.
- 4/5
Quiet, easy parking
- 1/5
Room was not cleaned completely. Hotel is dirty beyond the “excuse our mess, we are renovating”. Would not recommend.
- 5/5
Very clean and close to the Texas State University
- 2/5
We arrived to our room with a dirty mop left in it. They’re was hair all over the floor, ac unit, and couch. I don’t know if the last person had a pet in the room?!?
- 1/5
The hotel was EXTREMELY DIRTY AND NASTY. I UNDERSTAND RENOVATIONS BUT FOR THE HALLWAYS AND ELEVATORS AND ROOMS TO BE DIRTY IS INEXCUSABLE. THE TOILET IN ROOM 308 KEPT FLUSHING ON ITS OWN. UPON CHECKOUT THE DESK CLERK ASKED IF HE EVER BACKED UP. THAT LETS ME KNOWNIT WAS A KNOWN FACT THAT THAT TOILET HAD PROBLEMS AND THE EVIDENCE WAS THERE WAS A PLUNGER IN THE BATHROOM. I GUESS FOR JUST INCASE.. AND WE DID HAVE TO USE IT ONCE. I VIDEOED HOW DIRTY THE HOTEL IS. OUR ROOM, AS SOON AS WE WALKED IN, HAD SOMETHING STICKY ON THE FLOOR. I USUALLY DO NOT WALK BAREFEET BUT FOR SURE I WAS NOT GOING TO IN THERE. IF RENOVATIONS ARE HAPPENING IT SHOULD BE NOTED ON YOUR SITE SO YOUR POTENTIAL GUEST CAN DECIDE IF THEY WANT TO STAY IN A DUMP OR NOT.
- 1/5
Rooms are nasty.

Hotel was not clean
- 2/5
Smells old
- 3/5
I get ‘renovations’ may have been taking place, but that 3rd floor was straight dirty. Then our ac was off and on all night.
- 5/5
Staff was caring and assisted whenever we needed
- 3/5
Gentleman at the check in was very dry, not friendly and shady and we did not know until we walked in that the hotel was under construction. We were on the 3rd floor and there was a musty smell and carpet was dirty with paint chips and splatters. We checked in on a Friday and breakfast ended at 9am, usually breakfast on weekend is til 10am. Was a bit noisy, but luckily that didn't start til 9am, at least it was at 7am. AC unit in room was very noisy and our room appeared to be missing furniture, I believe there should of maybe been a loveseat not sure. Bed was comfortable and water pressure was good.
- 3/5
The lobby, hallways, and elevator were hot. The hotel is renovating (something i did not know when i booked) so hallway carpets and elevator were dirty. The two ice machines i found did not work. The room was fine good size, the A/C worked well, the bed was soft, and the room was clean and quiet. My only complaint about the room is no carpeting on the floor.
- 5/5
Good Location
- 1/5
Don’t stay here, just don’t. We unfortunately got the pleasure of staying while they “upgraded”. We got a so called upgraded room. Where there was still construction dirt/dust left and hair, it was like it was never cleaned. Whoever they hired to redo the floor should be fired before they ruin the rest of the hotel. Cut our losses and left without touching the beds. Gross.
- 3/5
Unfortunately, I didn’t enjoy my stay. The hotel was not clean, which made the experience uncomfortable.
- 2/5
Rook was very damp and smelled really bad . Overall lobby was very dirty
- 2/5
Did not know it was under remodel until I went to check in. Hallway was taped off for painting, old carpet in the hallway to cover up carpet. Woke up to blaring music from the painters after a long day of traveling the day before, a quite morning would have been nice!
- 1/5
Our room was filthy upon arrival. I asked 3 times for it to be clean and it wasn’t . Not until I asked to speak to manager . Then Wednesday night I asked for wash cloths abs the staff called me a dumb wetback cause of my accent . She was there Thursday and Friday night too and just laughed at me every time she saw me come in . I will never stay here again
- 1/5
Let me begin with the impeccable and professionalism of the front desk attendant from July 7th evening shift. We arrived and were put on the floor that was undergoing massive construction. The smell of paint, the carpet outside the room was ripped out, paint stains inside our room and the restroom was vile; toilet broken and tub full of paint, debris and rust. Went down and room was switched. This room was a tad better, but the hallway looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in DAYS! Trash and wrappers all over the hall. The smell was overwhelming. We ended up staying because there was no other choice. We showered at a family members home that was near by. All we did was sleep there. This was a horrible experience. The second lady we encountered working the front desk was rude and looked like she just didn’t want to be there. Money just thrown away.
- 3/5
It was convenient and what I needed but the floors were filthy and there were baseboards torn up. My room was ok.
- 1/5
The halls are hot, smelly, and stained. The room was run down and everything falling apart. Very dirty, too. Walls nasty. Even has roaches! I couldn't believe how bad this hotel was. Then we were woke up at 5am with noisy construction happening right above our room. Couldn't possibly sleep during this noise! We will never take the chance of staying at another La Quinta. I do want to say the only good thing I can about this place, the breakfast lady was great!
- 3/5
Odd smell
- 2/5
My family and I have stayed at many La Quinta properties over the years and this one was unfortunately one of the lowest quality ones we've stayed at. The carpet in the hallways was old, dirty, and beat up looking, as were the walls. The rooms were not cleaned well, lots of hair and various debris on the bathroom floor, mold on the walls-- the carpet in the room was very dirty with an obvious trail in "high traffic areas". The curtains in my room were literally shredded to ribbons and instead of replacing them, the strips of fabric were just tied in knots. One of the two rooms we booked had a door that was literally falling off the hinges and had to be lifted up in order to make the door close and the locks latch (we didn't say anything to staff as we were exhausted from traveling all day and just wanted to rest). The worst part of this experience was that there was construction that began around 7-8am that we were not notified of before booking. There was signage on property, but no attempt was made to notify me before my reservation was made.
- 4/5
Very clean The only bad thing is that the bed so very bad springs popping out On the other note sofa was really comfortable.
- 3/5
I didn’t like having to ask for wash cloths multiple times only to have our towels changed every day for our 3-night stay w/o replacing what we had, incl. our bath mat, so we had to ask again. I left a note on the bathroom counter to please just leave the used towels & we would re-use them, but no one paid any attention to that. I also didn’t like how dirty the hallway carpets were & stairs carpets & there were a lot of worn places on the walls around the edges that needed paint to cover chips, etc. I know they are remodeling right now, which is good b/c the whole property needs it. Also, the set up of our 2-queen suite room s/have been flipped. The family member on the sofa sleeper froze during the night b/c the rest of us on the beds were too far away from the AC, so we had it on high but were still hot…made it difficult to sleep well for all.
- 2/5
This property should have stated that it was being remodeled. The hotel looks dirty, it’s old and out dated, half the lights in my room didn’t work. The hallway was so hot it was ridiculous! Not what the normal La Quintas I’ve stayed at before.
- 5/5
Great but currently doing construction on the property
- 2/5
It was an overall moderate experience. There was remodeling going on that we were made unaware of until we arrived at the property. They began construction early in the morning, often waking us up. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 2/5
Our experience wasn’t very pleasant. The room lacked enough towels and necessities, such as toilet paper among other things. Front desk personnel was mixed, with the individual upon checkout watching TV eating chips instead of being attentive. No laundry bags.
- 4/5

- 2/5
This property was in dire need of updates and maintenance. The floors were filthy, our toilet seat was broken (immediately fell onto the floor upon initial use), and both curtains were ripped (huge holes).
