Not bad overall but there was mold on the ceiling of our room

However, The hotel could use some major updates to the bathroom tub and sink area. Tub was pretty old and had issues with the grouting. And you had to literally dance around to get wet because of no pressure and had a pretty yucky shower head. Beds weren't comfortable, they were very bouncy and hard as a brick. For just a weekend, it was doable only because of it being cheap.

The AC in the room evaporates a lot of water leaving the carpet totally soaked, and the room gets a very strong musty smell.

Pool was dirty the whole week, few frogs floating in the jacuzzi. Three days without room cleaning. Bath tub stained. Hotel need better care

The rooms and restrooms are in bad condition not well cleaned. Hotel stinks. Sheets, bedspreads and doors were all broken.Only one staff for everything, for every duty. doesn’t help. August 1, 2026 front desk night staff was helpful but there is so much she could do by herself, she was very polite. However, the morning front desk lady was very rude. August 2, 2026.

ROACHES!!! Yikes! Sofa-bed was dirty and stained. I had to use my own wifi to watch tv. And did i mention roaches?! I wasn’t offered any sort of discount since I stayed. It was late and plus the booking was non-refundable. Will never stay there again!!!!

The breakfast ending so early and abruptly. We are literally serving ourselves and the lady moves us aside and puts the food away in our face. The food would run out early and they wouldn’t make anymore food even tho we had a good 30 mins left.

Our refrigerator did not work the entire time we were there, the microwave handle was broken, the floor was sinking in by our air conditioner, broken towel rack, and toilet paper dispenser in the bathroom and a hole in the door.

Room only had 1 dim light, room had 2 other lamps that didnt work. When I checked in i got put in the room i didnt reserve and was told by goofy looking older lady that " just because i reserve a 2 bed queen doesnt guarantee that i get the room" very unprofessional. Kitchenette didnt work when i called about it i was told most of the kitchenette stoves dont work. The younger front desk worker was great. The Owner was very nice but staff needs better training and attitude adjustments

Horrible hotel I stayed cause I needed to rest …room smelled so bad restroom was leaking no restroom door no mirrors when I arrived cops where in building the man in office was so rude was arguing with a customer

The room was full of condensation (to extent of wet walls & floors), very cold tile floor in kitchenette area, old sheets/matress, musky smell.

Breakfast is good and location is fine First time Ive'd stay in a hotel that TV has no internet, no cable signal and some repair in the bathroom floor and door are un finish plus there's no shampoo available in the bathroom.

The rooms and staff were all great. The area was quite and close to many places to eat.The ice machine didn't work on our floor(1st). I had to go up to 4th floor and on Saturday the elevators were out of order. But not to bad overall.

The king bed was very comfortable.

Overall great stay! There was a towel shortage the first day. Only allowed two towels but we paid for 4 people in our room. We went to the store and bought towels, which was annoying. Our toilet clogged up during the night and wouldn’t flush (not due to misusage) so we had to work at unstopping it, also very annoying. Otherwise, it was a great stay for all purposes. I would stay again!

Nothing we asked to speak to the manager by the person at front desk and she was very rude and said manager was not available The room had a terrible smell it was dirty there was rust in the bath tub the burners didn’t work and there were no utensils and the carpet was frayed and dirty there were water stains on the ceiling it was a terrible experience my husband and travel a lot and this is the worst place we have stayed

Great space and nice kitchenette. They say included breakfast and it’s really just coffee and cereal.

We booked 3 rooms, none of them were cleaned well, the stoves didn’t work which is why we booked there, the ac in one was leaking and the carpet was wet all over, when we told the staff they just said other people had told them the same thing and they didn’t really seem to care. Roaches were very present and we could see a couple at any point in time.

I didn't like that for 4 days I couldn't watch TV and the lady at the front desk was kinda rude when I asked why the TV wasn't working and she was well the satellite dish has a part broken and we didn't find out until one of the staff wanted to watch TV we had plenty of guest call about it but we thought it was the weather..the weather here was just hot and one day was windy that was it she never apologized and I told her the least they could've done was tell the guest about the situation she said we can't call all the rooms and I told her you don't have too...a printed letter slipped under the door would've been a good way of letting the guest know

Fitness area Let me first start off by saying that if you read the other reviews, you’ll see that there’s a pattern at this hotel. I highly suggest that if you’re a clean person, to stay away. 1st night: It was NOT mentioned that the television satellite was not working upon check-in. However, reading other reviews, TV has not been functional in this hotel for quite sometime, as far back as 7 months or more. Luckily we brought some board games to play. We went to turn on lights in the living area, but there was only one light by the door. There was absolutely NO other room lighting except one lamp in the bedroom. Hubby went to ask for an extra lamp and was given flack for it, even after explanation. The caucasian attendant with light brown hair and a chip in her front tooth (Details provided since I’ve already forgotten names) reluctantly provided an extra lamp. Walking around the room, I noticed a very unclean sticky feeling on the carpet, which turned my feet brown. We had keep sandals on. No extra bedding in the room for the sofa pull out. Son went to ask for bedding and the same office attendant only game him one fitted sheet. I was already in my jammies and didn’t want to get redressed to go down stairs to speak with her about it, so I handed him this top blanket from our bed. It’s not a comforter, but he folded it to double it up to make the best use of it. As I closed the thicker window curtain for privacy, I was greeted by this lovely pile of toe nail clippings from a previous guest (see pic). We went to bed. 2nd day: breakfast, which was decent, but not 4 star by any means. One guy came down and took 10 omelets and left to his room, which was almost all of the food. Told the same office attendant about the previous night and requested our room to be clean. Her response: “look, I’m really busy”, as if justifying why it won’t get done. We came back around 4pm and not a thing was touched.

My room was dirty where the front had to come clean it. None of the tvs worked and it was just a poor stay. I wasn’t happy at all

Room was very dirty. Cannot stay but we managed to stay the night and get out as soon as possible. Carpet was completely wet around window (I was told due to rain) which is not acceptable. Bathroom has stains. Bedroom side table was dirty and not clean. Kitchen utensils was moldy to a point of don't touch them.

This place was great. Very helpful staff and rooms were nice and spacious. I will say the bathtubs looked a little rough and the countertop stove in their suit was not functioning when we stayed but other then that everything else was pretty good

Room was not ready per check in (but i was not told) I got the key and went to the room where the sheets and pillows were just left on the floor.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The front desk ladies were so sweet at check in and check out. I do believe that breakfast should last later on weekends as it does at most hotels. Overall it was a good visit. Would stay again.

Where to even start.. As soon as we checked in I could tell this hotel was going to have issues. We booked a 3 night stay at this hotel since we were in need of a kitchen area with fridge and microwave. And yes they did have those two things. Unfortunately we had to switch rooms because the first room would not connect to the directTV network at all, we had to unplug the cable and plug it back in and still got errors and unable to connect. I called the front desk and spoke with the receptionist (first week on the job, and look, not one to give new employees a hard time but she had very little knowledge about anything I would ask) she told me to unplug it and plug it back in even after I had already tried that. She then offered us another room, which is what we ended up doing. The new room had the loudest fridge I have ever heard in my life. Made sleeping really difficult. The tv did work but it was set to a very small screen, the toilet leaked badly.. When we asked for our room to be serviced (new towels, trash pickup) the receptionist is the one soul employee they have to do everything! I didn’t know I was basically booking at a failed hotel that can’t even afford staff. So she told us she would try getting to our room for service. Breakfast was lack luster. Overall I am extremely unimpressed and disappointed with this hotel, my husband has told me I can never book the hotel room again after this terrible experience.

We had dead roaches in our room. They didn’t provide us with any towels or shower curtains for our rooms. When we voiced our concerns. They did not give us towels till the following day. When we wanted to speak to a manager they just kept giving us the run around. They didn’t try to help us at all.

Lied to us about hot tub working but upon arrival it wasn’t as the warming element been out for long time! Also tv wasn’t working either

Clean room great staff

The bed was comfortable The AC had the whole floor wet, no cable TV and the shower was not clean. The whole room smelled like mold.

There was a weird black mildew in between the sheets and blanket. So yea that was the last time I will be staying here unfortunately.

Staff was horrible with the exception of the 2 younger ladies, all rooms had roaches, washer didn't work, ice machine didn't work, stayed for 2 weeks in 3 different suites, never had room service, receptionist with the short hair threatened to call cops because we left trash outside in the hall so they can take it out since they never cleaned our rooms (after they told us to put it out there) kitchenette stoves dont work, and the jacuzzi didn't work.

First room they gave me smelled like a spit cup, 2nd rooms ac barely worked.

Room had rusty appliances and grany tub floor and needs to be remodeled. But other than that it was clean and staff was very nice.

The room was dirty. We found other peoples belongings next to bed. It smelled weird, like dried urine. The pull out couch bed had food crumbs in it. They didn't provide enough towels/linens for the sofabed. We stayed 2 nights and trash was not removed and towels were not refreshed. The bathtub has weird peeling. It just felt gross.

There was mold on two of the bagels. 9am is a little early to stop breakfast in my opinion also. Rooms were very humid.

Saw several roaches our first night and could not use tv as our remote needed batteries. I don’t believe our sheets were changed before arriving and don’t believe our room was cleaned either. Was grateful for extra set of batteries for tv, without tv working the stay would not have been worth it. Was also grateful room had mini kitchen. Mini kitchen did come with silverware and basic cookware, also came with sponge (was used several times before our stay, smelled awful) and dish dawn soap. Took a quick trip up to the H‑E‑B and bought plastic silverware and plates + our own bottle of soap and pack of sponges. Luckily brought reusable cups and bowls with us. Our review could have easily had more stars if the cleanliness of the hotel was better kept up with. It was unfortunately our deciding factor in negative review, would not come back or recommend anyone else to stay here.

Not enough lighting in rooms. No lighting in living area. There was a desk, but no light. Could not do any work or reading because a lack of light. Trash baskets too small.

It was comfortable but we traveling and we got in late so we slept a little bit late with 15 minutes late for breakfast the lady was still down there in the breakfast room one didn't finish cleaning up yet and asked if we can make waffles and she said no so I mean I paid $150 for a room and you won't let me make a waffle and you're standing right there kind of ridiculous Not really anything other than what it was comfortable but I will never stay here again because of the way I was treated at breakfast time

From easy check in to the cleanliness of the hotel, everything was great! I was pleasantly surprised with how nice the room was.

The price, size of room, most all was good. Close to areas we needed to be near. Only issue with room is the air conditioner vent by window was leaking some water on carpet near window. We really enjoyed how the staff ensured that everything was working properly before we entered the room. They were very friendly and super friendly. We definitely will be back and recommend them to everyone we know.

Everything was great there

The room has a strong moldy smell. The sheets were damp from the humidity in the room. The room key didn’t work. It took two trips down to the desk to get someone to fix the door.

Dirty. They didn’t clean the rooms. When I need fresh shower towels they didn’t have any available. Someone left dirty underwear in the room from the previous stay. Probing more that the rooms didn’t get cleaned. Worse stay ever.

First day dirty bed sheets limited towels for 4 people no blankets for 4 days

There wasn’t much to like! We get there for a later check in just to find out no one cleaned our room. They brushed it off that there was a new maid and that was the issue. Come to find out many people had this happen to them during our stay. When we also check in we are informed that the power went out that “morning” and made the elevator go out. Supposedly the owner didn’t want to “pay for an over night fee” to get the elevator back on. Well yours truly had to lug everything up the stairs to the 3rd floor for a family of four. They should have had plenty of time to get it serviced before that evening. The girl at the front desk was very sweet and tried her best and I commend Steph for trying! She eventually came and made our beds at 9pm when we got back from eating dinner. That was really inconvenient for a family with littles. You could tell upon arrival that nothing had been cleaned or restocked. Steph said house keeping would be by around 8. We leave and go on our day the next morning thinking our room is going to be cleaned. Well we thought wrong. We get back that evening to discover nothing had been touched once again. So I ended up running into the manager down stairs and notified him of the issue and wondered if we were ever going to get a clean room during our stay bc apparently they don’t clean but every 3 days so when we would be leaving. He got us on the list to be cleaned the next morning. The guy shows up and starts cleaning around 7am when we’r eating in pj’s.

Cons: dirty, elevator broken, bugs in our beds (beetles if Google is to be trusted), no protein at breakfast, broken and missing exercise equipment, no maid service or clean towels. Would not recommend

The property charged me an extra 15 dollars on my card after check out. They didn’t send a receipt the first time or one for the charge. I called four different times and everyone kept me in a circle. I finally had my bank dispute and refund me. Bathroom ceiling was molded

I stayed on 4th floor and they had moisture issues. They had a dehumidifier on that floor. I informed front desk daily that it was full and needed water emptying. Everyday I mentioned it but wound up emptying myself. The pool was to open w@10 but had to go to front desk to unlock . She opened gate but never came with towels. Overall they seemed short handed

The whole stay was awful. The room was musty and smelled of urine, the bathroom door didn’t close, and the bed felt like it hadn’t been turned over in weeks

They charge me against the cost for the room, they blame Expedia and they told me check with them

My room was very dirty, every where. We had told house keeping to not go in our room at all and they went in anyways. But on top of it didn’t change our sheets just gave us towels. There was gum in our lamps on the night stand. And we were told breakfast was from 7-10 our whole stay and on Saturday the front lady was so rude and pretty much yelled at everyone. And closed it at 9 / a little before 9. The cleanliness was just horrible there was stains and bugs everywhere. Will not be staying here again.

Had to get a new room due to one of the AC units made a lot of noise, the room was very dirty, the elevator sounded like it could fall apart at any moment, was only given 4 towels for 4 people for 3 days stay. When asked for more towels they told us they are not able to give us more. Same with pillows and blankets. I recommend you stay elsewhere even if it cost a hundred dollars more.

The property is run down. The fixtures are loose. Couldn't shut off the water in the tub. It ran all night. The breakfast was almost nonexistent. The exit door wouldn't close on its own. The room was pretty good. Nice mattress and TV. Also, a little kitchen in the room. A full size frig. and a little stove, with pots, pans and utensils. The hotel has a mildewy smell. The staff was nice, but the management doesn't seem to care.

Room and bathroom was dirty. I called the front desk for more towels a couple of times and no one answered. Then there were no towels at the pool and when I went to ask the front desk, the lady told me there were no clean towels for the pool and that there was nothing she could do about it.

The rooms were clean, the beds were comfy

The day I arrived they warned me that there was a leak where the window was at, but they didn’t tell me that it would stink. I had a double queen bed. I asked to change rooms but they did not have anymore so they gave me one room with one king size bed. That room was much nicer and it smelled clean.

Stayed here on two separate occasions, the staff has always been incredibly kind and accommodating. The breakfast was always really good and filling with many different options. Rooms were comfortable and they were always willing to fix any problems that occurred while we were there!

The stove top was broken.The TV remote so didn't work.You had to change it by going up to the box. The shower head was leaking. They told me they couldn't do a lat check out then another lady gave me an extra thirty minutes. They ran out of food at 8.So I couldnt even get breakfast here.

We went for a quick high school graduation event. The hotel was less than 10 minutes away. We were totally surprised to have a 2 burner kitchenette with a full sized fridge. We are so used to the tiny microwave/fridge/ironing board combo (really just the tiny fridge-LOL). The sitting area in the room was nice with 2 comfy recliners (that we didn't know were recliners until we checked out-but still comfy). We were really close to some fast food places like Dairy Queen, Whataburger, Pizza Hut and Dominos (we didn't get anything from them). There was also a supermarket (HEb) almost walking distance away. We also noticed a liquor store pretty close (not our cup of tea, but others might want their products for their "tea"). We did get to go food from Blackbeard's Too. This place was AMAZING with blackened mahi mahi and great burgers (live music on the weekends). It was almost next door to the hotel, but was kind of easy/hard to get to because there's not a direct road since the property has train tracks separating it from the restaurant. But, if you leave the hotel and turn left, go to Main Street and make another left and then turn left on West Main Street, you'll get there. When you leave Blackbeard's Too to go back to the hotel, turn left and continue on West Main until you get to the railroad crossing with Highway 361 and then make a right, you'll be heading back to the Best Western. They also have an EV car charging station (we don't have an EV, but others might want to know.

The staff was rude and not friendly and the carpet in the room was wet from broken AC and it was moldy and mildew smell.

Mold growing on the roofs. Obviously flooding recently as they had a dehumidifier only on the third floor.

There was no AC in the halls. The towels were a bit dingy, sofa had stains on them. TV didn’t work only had one channel. some of the food old.

The room was spacious and overall looked clean. We checked in pretty late but because we were so tired, i didn't notice that the restroom was not clean. The hand bar soap was opened and used and the there was not enough towels in the room. There door hinge was off so we had to slam the door hard to get it to close.

My family enjoyed staying for two nights.
