The parking... we had to use vallet. We arrived on a Saturday, we understand thats the busiest day for the Galleria. To get to the hotel vallet, the traffic was a 10/10. Regardless, I love to stay there and will continue to stay there.

The hotel has a good location ( by the galleria) very safe , clean , good service . I highly recommend it especially if you’re traveling alone with no car . I didn’t like that the employee didn’t explain to me that i had coupons for food and drinks !

I usually like Westin properties and this one is nice and comfortable. Clean, nice room and good location. I arrived late that night, staff was very nice and helpful.

The staff was very friendly & professional. My room was very clean. The beds are super comfortable. The amenities were A1. I’d stay there again. It was my 1st time staying there & it was a great stay.

The room was always clean. However, the USB phone charger ports on the nightstand and in the bathroom did not work.

The one amenity I was l was looking forward to, in the heat and humidity, was the pool. Unfortunately this was a severe disappointment. The pool, located on an exposed roof, has NO umbrellas, and is a huge concrete slab that has absolutely no appeal. There is no bar or service to obtain drinks, and the exposure is such that all one can expect is dehydration and sunburn. If it were not for the need to attend my CE course, I would not choose to stay at this hotel unless I felt like shopping to get out of the heat and humidity.

The old Galleria hotel is showing its age but still a very nice property. Solid building built back when they knew how. Quiet. I'm surprised that the pool area is not exactly run down but plain, empty, lots of wasted Galleria $1000sq/ft real estate. There could be a Tiki bar up there!

Great location, great staff. My room (1307) had a leaking shower hose which would squirt and wet up the outside floor the moment you turned on the water. Also, my room was a Junior suite; was surprised that there was no microwave or separate small sink.

The rooms were extremely clean and the staff were extremely helpful. We could not have had a better time at the galleria although I have stayed here on numerous occasions and I’ve never had a bad experience.

Cat piss ( not even kidding) probably because of humidity in their laundry room, they said I had free breakfast because of the incident and later on they charged me .. telling me its only pending and that im assuredly getting my money in around 30 days because im an international client. Don't stay here , I only did because I went for shopping.

Yes very clean but the HVAC system seems to be very outdated. All of a sudden in the middle of the night there was a banging sound from it.. staff was very nice. A little disappointed for the price u pay and it n top they charge destination fee.

I had to ask for more towels, 3 Times. I come frequently, every time I come it is the same thing. I have to ask for towels. Then the employee brings a little bit of towels. Nothing ever changes. This is waste of time.

The only thing i did not like is the banks of elevators.

The hotel was great and it was so nice to be connected to the Galleria for shopping and so many restaurants. The elevator system is very good and security is excellent. Self parking in the garage is free. The gym is nice and has 4 Pelotons.

Always stay here because it's next to the mall. This trip however front desk wasnt friendly, also gave me a room that was extremely noisy, next to the elevator.

Exelent bedrooms I rest very conftable

First you get there and the supposedly free parking lot was full. We wasted half an hour waiting for a spot and no luck. We had to park with valet who charges 60 dollars to park your car. Hotel reception was good and fast but the rooms need serious sound insulation from all sides. We could hear every car on the road and every neighbor closing his hotel room door. We could not till around 2 am because of the noise. Pillows are very low quality. Woke up with neck and shoulder pain.

Felt like it was shake down when Westin demanded a $25.00 per night destination fee. Never again.

Unfortunately, it was a very brief stay. I didn't get to enjoy the convenient access to the galleria, not the pool/restaurants.

The only disappointment was the pool area, the overall feel and aesthetics of the area was disappointed.

AC was not working properly

We enjoyed this hotel very much. Conveniently located right in the mall, we ate at Joey Uptown across the street and it was delicious. Bedding and room were very nice and clean. There were actually multiple layers of bedding which I appreciate rather than the thin "blanket/sheet" that seems to be popular. We would definitely stay here again. A+++

The area is convenient. Didn’t drive and used ride share. Hotel very centralized. Love the access to the mall. Security between floors is great. Hotel smelled wonderful. Room was great.

Great location and quality stay!

The toilet in my room did not flush, so the dirt accumulated when I just checked in. It took two requests with the front desk to have it fixed within 4 hours. Then I needed to ask again to clean it. The front desk person couldn't explain what is being served at the club and was not very welcoming, Eileen, I believe. Other front desk people were more professional and polite. They gave me a late check out, and access to the pool after I checked out. Even walked me to the pool to make sure I can enter. Unfortunately, the people in the room next to mine desided to smoke weed, and the smell was all three days I was there. I wish they vacuumed the hallway carpet with the deodorant/airfreshener to reduce the smell. Overall, I would not return here, unlike my recent Westin Anaheim trip, which was amazing.

We struggled to find parking next to the hotel since it shared parking with the mall. Staff was also unhelpful when we asked for towels.

That said, I did run into a few issues worth noting. I had some packages delivered during my stay, and I wasn’t aware there would be a $10 charge per package, even as a guest with a reservation. In the end, I was charged more than expected (about $65), and when I inquired, the adjustments and deductions weren’t clearly explained, which left me a bit confused. It would be great if the package policy were communicated more clearly and managed more transparently. Another hiccup was with breakfast. Although my reservation didn’t include breakfast, a staff member at the front desk kindly offered me a complimentary breakfast for Friday as an upgrade. Unfortunately, when I arrived at the restaurant, they told me it wasn’t included and I had to pay for it—so that was a bit disappointing and awkward. Lastly, there was a $29 daily charge for amenities like restaurant credit, skating, and museum access, which I wasn’t interested in using. I would have appreciated the option to decline that charge, rather than having it automatically added. Despite these concerns, the hotel itself is beautiful and well-maintained, and the staff was generally helpful and friendly. I just hope they can improve clarity and consistency around charges.

We loved the property. Everyone is friendly and helpful. Everything looks and feels upscale. We loved being connected to the mall. Traffic is bad, which is to be expected in downtown Houston. We left our car parked and took a lyft around town.
