The only thing decent about this property is location. When I first arrived they charged me a $50 security deposit which they have yet to refund me for and it’s been 2 weeks. Also every single towel in the unit was dirty and stained. There was crusty stuff stuck on the towels that I had no idea what it even was. The entire flooring inside the shower was not cleaned and it was stained due to not being cleaned and it looked black and filthy. There was also mold and mildew everywhere. The toilet would barely flush. They do not clean nothing at all at this place. Not the bathroom, not the bedding, not the floors, not the sink, not the countertops, not the little fridge. The stand under the TV was cracked and starting to cave in. The bedsheets and pillowcases were not cleaned. Nothing in the entire unit was clean. I constantly felt like I had to make sure there were no bed bugs. That’s honestly the only positive that I did not come across. I understand you cannot control what other people do that book here and just sit in the parking lot but it’s always loud music in the parking lot especially at night and people smoke leaf on the property as well. The front desk people act like they don’t know what they’re doing and blame it on being new but will take your money no issue at all. They never answer the phone even when I’ve called several different times a day.

The room was filthy with dirt everywhere, used soap on the sink, cigarette holes in the sheets and dead bugs on the ground.

No nos dejaron ni entrar a la habitación, en la app salía una hora de check in y estando en el hotel dijeron otra. Y solo la recepción olía muy mal. Ya hice la queja con mi banco para poder obtener el reembolso porque ellos no lo dan.

Staff was friendly and extremely helpful when needed at times. Especially when I was in a situation that I needed a ride, they helped me arrange for one. As far as cleanliness, don't expect much as it was barely clean, scuff marks noted throughout and bathroom minimally cleaned. Hotel lists breakfast as available however poor and limited choices were displayed; only muffins, juice, and hot coffee available and that's it (not many options especially if traveling with minors). The free parking was very helpful and useful, however to those that may need it, hotel doesn't provide shuttles to airports. As far as other amenities such as the pool, it wasn't used during my visit so I can't comment more on that.

Pro - It was clean, the bed was comfortable, room was dark & cold, the host was accessible. Con - very run down, lots of surface damage, ice maker didn't work, not enough pillows. They let us keep our car parked for longer than our stay. Would recommend if you need a quick, cheap, bed!
- 5/5
Good deal for a close location to Medical area
- 3/5
The room was damp all over.
- 4/5
The property is in a safe community even though this may not be the first impression when checking in. Staff is super friendly and cooperative. The property itself is quite old with recent management change. The room was very basic but clean, particularly the bathroom. The floor AC was noisy. The bed smelled of smoke that made my allergies kick in and resulting in a disturbed sleep. Very few electrical outlets.
- 1/5
Pathetic place to stay. Would never book it again with them
- 1/5
While the staff were nice and the location was convenient, the motel has a serious cleanliness problem. Beds seemed slept in. The bathroom was moldy. When we asked housekeeping to change the sheets on the bed that was dirty (and never cleaned before our arrival), we found what seemed to be a crime scene. Someone had absolutely bleed to death and the hotel literally just put sheets on top of it and called it good enough. The mattress protector that was covered in a greasy blood didn't appear to have even been washed. I don't blame this entirely on housekeeping, this is the product of never investing in replacing things or or maintaining the property. I've stayed in nice places and crap places...Summit Inn is the bottom of the barrel. Suggest spending a little more and staying somewhere else.

This is my second time staying at this hotel. It’s definitely not a luxury or spa like resort. But it’s basic accommodations that are clean, easy location and plenty of free parking. Most notable, the staff is super nice and accommodating. They make you feel very welcome - like part of the family. A nice change from the corporate big chain places. If you’re looking for amenities like a spa. pool, room service…this may not be luxury vacation get away. However, If you need an economical place to lay your head where you’re greeted with a warm welcome and a quick check in, this place gets the job done just fine. I would stay here in a heartbeat again for the third time.

It's a cool place to chill.

To check in no one on premise to check you in

When we arrived the window on our room was wide open, no screen and smelled like something died in the room, looking at the bed, the linen was stained there was hair all over what I thought was clean sheets, when I pulled them back the mattress was so stained and nasty It looked like an animal had been sleeping on in it, your feet stuck to the floors as you walked, it appeared like the door had been kicked in, all and all worst room I have ever been in and I have traveled all over the United States for work, would not recommend anyone staying here, this place should be shut down. I did ask to get reimbursed they said they could for one night but still waiting for this credit.
- 5/5
Room neat and clean. Smelled great was cool
- 2/5
Management very kind prices very good
- 3/5
The place is struggling, but there was zero signs of bedbugs or cockroaches.
- 4/5
I got to admit I wasn't expecting much for this price but after a 2 day stay we were very pleased with everything. Doesn't look fancy from outside but it was clean and staff was friendly. Convenient to hospital. Look forward to staying here next time.
- 5/5
Room is always clean, easy free parking, complimentary coffee and amenities, friendly staff and easy check in and checkout. Very convenient to the Medical Center and NRG. Gas stations, fast food restaurants and grocery store nearby.
- 5/5
My favorite budget motel to stay at when having to be near the Medical Center area. Staff is friendly, free parking, amenities and coffee provided, gas stations and fast food restaurants nearby.

Was a little of a strange smell initially, but overall a good clean room at good price.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful
- 1/5
The ac kept the room cool, but there was no insulation so you could everything going on
- 1/5
Property doesn’t look anything like the photos. A/C didn’t work, the room was dirty, the bathroom light switch was coming out of the wall and wiring was exposed. We didn’t feel comfortable staying and left.

Good location
- 4/5
Overall it was a good stay. I was worried about the price versus location. I’m not from Houston and I don’t know the areas. The staff was efficient and friendly. The room was clean but outdated. The grounds needed cleaned up. Overall the stay went well and the area was no concern. It was close to gas, food, and attractions.

Terrible service, dirty rooms, dirty sheets. Experienced was the worst, got 2 different rooms both not to standards.

Clean and quiet peaceful stay
- 3/5
What I expected for $50/night. All surfaces you touched were clean (sheets, towels, sink, toilet seat) but underneath layers and floors were not so clean. Shower works well. No bed bugs.
- 3/5
4room was ok but bed sheets smelled like dried sweat as if pillows and bed were never cleaned.
- 5/5
Very nice. Great price
- 4/5
The staff was very courteous and accommodating. The room was clean and the bed comfortable
- 1/5
This hotel is dirty, with mold. Bed wasnt done, the smell was the worst thing. I found a roach disgusting. Don’t waist your money for the same price you can go somewhere else. Not worth it.

Great parking and business friendly not so much shopping nearby but there is a convenience store across the street

We were very comfortable. It was fairly quiet, except for abnormal traffic noise. Close to restaurants, so convenient.

Very convenient location— 8 minutes from MDA 6 MINUTES from WALGREENS 5 MINUTES FROM LUBY’s 6 MINUTES FROM H-E-B grocery A week or longer cost me $60/ night all/in Soft mattress! Staff very nice & cordial. Not glamorous— but very efficient!

- 3/5
The staff were nice, but the rooms could have been cleaner. There were some fruit flies in the room when I would eat food. The ac/heater smelled very dirty. The walls are very thin so you can hear the neighbors on either side. Honestly, it was very cheap, and you get what you pay for.
- 5/5
I like this place because this is very accessible to my work place. It’s quiet, peaceful and affordable. Staff is kind and I feel comfortable.
- 3/5
the room was good, but for being a wheelchair accessible the bed high up, and the toilet was just kind of in the middle of the wall, and no grab bars.
- 1/5
The floor was dirty coffee pot not cleaned out just not clean at all
- 3/5
Interesting decor! Lighting wax too dim for make up or much of anything. Room was clean & beds were comfortable.
- 5/5
Very kind clean room loved it
- 3/5
The room itself was nice, AC was off when I got there so I had to sit in a stuffy room for a bit but that’s more of a minor mistake. Mostly clean, drawers definitely could’ve been cleaned more but wasn’t a bother for me since I was only staying one night. Area itself was okay, not much to do in the immediate vicinity, and some of the other people staying there seemed a little off but that isn’t really the location’s fault!
- 1/5
Room wasn't cleaned. He had to look for another room.
- 4/5
It was better than I thought it would be but the cord from the tv couldnt reach the socket, a few of the socket covers were loose or hanging from the wall and the toilet seat was broken. Might've needed to sweep and mop also. Floors were kinda filthy. Other than that, it was fine. No bugs, the refrigerator worked and the a/c worked pretty good.
- 3/5
Dirty smelly room
- 2/5
The property appears quite old but that wasn’t the issue for me. When I first stepped into the room, I was greeted by a faint smell of cigarette smoke, which was unpleasant at first but not unbearable. Upon initial inspection, I found several small brown stains on my bedsheet. I asked front desk if changing the sheets would be possible and they decided to change my room instead. Upon entering the second room, I was hit by the smell of mold along with the cigarette smell from before. Thankfully, I quickly got used to it and the smell only really bothered me every time I would step into the room after being away. The bedsheets in the new room were cleaner, but I still noticed a faint red stain. I decided to keep this room, however, as I figured they would all be slightly dirty in this way. However, multiple of the towels were visibly dirty and 2 of the 3 pillows provided had various debris and someone else’s hair stuck on them. Thankfully there was one pillow with only minor debris that I was able to use. The sheets smelled of course. The AC worked but was quite loud so it could be hard to sleep. Finally, the hair dryer plugged into the wall didn’t work (outlet’s fault I think), but admin was able to give me a different hairdryer which I could plug in somewhere else. Overall, I would pay a bit more for a better accommodation next time I visit Houston, as I just could not feel comfortable with the lack of cleanliness. 2 stars rather than one because service was good.

This motel was located right off the interstate and was conveniently really close, one mile, from Baylor Medical School, where I was having a doc appointment at. Staff were really friendly and very helpful. Hotel is located close to a good variety of restaurants within 10 min drive in most directions. Also was within a 10 min drive of NRG stadium. Only down side is that it is located on a major road, which can have heavy traffic at times. This may make it difficult to drive around and get to various things depending on the time of day and other happenings in town. But Houston traffic is notoriously bad, so I just expected it and was pleasantly surprised when I was able to get around town relatively easily.
- 2/5
We did not stay. By the time we found it, we were very disappointed because it was advertised as being under 5 miles from the hospital we had an appointment at. I had chosen this motel because it was supposed to be close and we had a 6:30 a.m. appointment. As two women over 65 years of age, we did not fee safe at all. I tried to call and cancel the room, but couldn't even do that. So I was charged but never even got a room key.
- 5/5
The staff was polite and the rooms were clean and it was a quite place.
- 1/5
We actually left after we saw the door wouldn’t even close all the way and it was in a bad part of town. We went to stay at another hotel in a safer area that had doors that would close and lock.
- 5/5
Very convenient location with the freeway close by. Not far from NRG and the Medical Center. Shipleys donuts is across the street, Burger King, IHOP and H-E-B are in the area. Staff is friendly and helpful.

The inn was being repaired and the room was very dusty and the bed linens were dusty and gritty. The location was very good for the Medical Center and our cancer Dr.. Restaurants were close. Was glad to be able to find a place as their is a oil convention in Houston. Thankful
- 5/5
I enjoyed my experience at the Summit Inn .
- 5/5
I had my concerns and originally, based on the area, thought the place was a bit sketchy. To my surprise, it was a great place to stay. Check in was a breeze. The room was clean. Parking was easy and lot was clean. At night it was quiet. No issues with people hanging out or vagrants wandering about. I would totally stay here again.
- 1/5
The lady at the front desk was rude. But room was clean food and gas station within walking distance. Aswell as transportation
- 3/5
Room was clean and quiet overnight. Everything I used within it worked. The man at the front desk spoke no English which made check-in difficult. Decent no-frills cheap option near the medical center
- 3/5
It is an older property located just off 288, you hear all the sirens. The room we were in had been recently renovated but not everything reconnected. The TV was not hooked to the satellite and the walls were not completely painted. The bed did have a comfortable mattress.
- 1/5
We got there at 315pm. sign in window said gone but back in 15 minutes. All locked up. No one came until 4:15 pm. so we just had to sit an hour and wait. called the number 4 times and no answer. We had gotten our food to eat in out room and it was cold before we got our key. Rooms furniture was outdated and paint chipped off. A huge metal thing in room against the wall that took up alot of space and obviously was just being stored there because there was no use for .. Nice size wood closet with shelves. When you got in out of bed there was a loud sound. But the bed was comfortable. Room was pretty clean but has spiders...The tv was large and good channels . got approached when unpacking car twice with people asking for money. . My husband did not want to stay because the room looked so bad and walked next door to Main Stay Hotel to get a room there. They were full so we had to stay at this place. Never stayed in a place that looks so horrible inside the room.It was a very bad experiance. We were pretty scared and hardly slept all night. Barbara Farrier [email protected] 361 758-2028
