Reviews
Guests generally appreciate the friendly and helpful staff, clean rooms, and convenient location of the hotel. However, there are frequent complaints about the high cost and slow service of valet parking, as well as confusion about the hotel's shared facilities with other hotels in the same building.

The only thing I disliked about my experience with this hotel was the expensive valet parking but it seems like most of the hotels down town have the same expensive policy. Other than that had an excellent stay. Staff were courtesy and friendly. Location is great. Would definitely stay here again. They have a decent gym, pool is nice with tall buildings surrounding as you swim. I had a good time

Friendly staff. Great maid. She worked on floor 6 during our stay. She deserves a shout out!
- 1/5
Great location central to downtown and convention The parking was ridiculous even with paying for valet. Took hours to park or get your car out. Staff was less than helpful. Bed was extremely hard. Concerns were not heard or dealt with.

Very close to many restaurants. Good breakfast and very clean. Safe area at night.

The room was very small, and the curtains did little to block the morning sun, so it became extremely bright as soon as the sun came up. On the positive side, the bed was comfortable, the A/C worked great, and every employee I encountered was friendly and helpful. I didn’t use the pool, but others in my group did and said it was nice. My biggest surprise was the valet fee—$74 per night—which is more than I’ve ever paid, even at luxury hotels in Houston. The only reason I chose this hotel was its convenient walking distance to the event I was attending. If you’re traveling solo or just need a place to sleep for one night, it may be sufficient. However, I wouldn’t recommend it for an extended weekend stay.

For the past two years, this is the hotel I’ve stayed at with 2 other friends for the convention we were in town for. The staff has always been extremely helpful and welcoming. The room hasn’t been a thing other than clean and spacious. We are three grown men who have enjoyed the breakfast every morning during our stay.

Stayed here for a concert at The House of Blues. It was about a 10 minute walk which was great so we didn’t have to uber. I loved that the room was very clean and spacious. The woman at the front desk was so sweet and helpful during our stay. Breakfast was great also. No complaints.

My family loved our stay here. we felt so at home.
- 4.5/5
Rooms were clean and we were able to set the air conditioning down low to suit us. Staff were friendly. Close to some of the towns amenities and a bus ride away from others.
- 4/5
The room was clean and tidy. The check-in process was quick. The only confusing thing is that there are 3 hotels in one building and it was difficult finding the correct hotel. Overall, I would recommend staying here.
- 4/5
Waze had difficulty with location from address, street level marking are challenging. you can enter through any of the entrances and move through various Marriott hotel lobbies to reach this one.
- 4/5
The elevator keeps getting stuck and won’t go up or down
- 5/5
Very nice and clean. Love that it was walking distance from our venue.
- 5/5
I really like that every day they have different kinds of breakfast food not the same ones.

Taylor was very friendly and helpful.

Good location, clean facility, excellent breakfast.

AC was not working in the first room, but they happily moved us to the next AC worked well however parking with valet needs work
- 3/5
The mattresses were very filthy and gross. My son didn’t even want to sleep on it.
- 5/5
Hotel was very clean and staff very friendly and helpful. Only warning is valet may take a while checking in and leaving. For us upon check out it was about an hour wait to get our vehicle.
- 3/5
It wasn’t great, but not terrible.

Overall it was a good stay. Breakfast was good. Conditions of the property were okay but not great. Staff was friendly and attentive.
- 5/5
Great staff, clean rooms. Decent breakfast. Pool was nice but chilly (understandable, we stayed in March). EXCELLENT location.
- 5/5
Our room was clean and the breakfast was great. Fully enjoyed the hotel.
- 4/5
Clean, quiet room. Nice offerings and variety at the breakfast buffet. Good location. Couldn’t justify their parking cost, but several garages nearby had in&out multi-day parking at a much better rate. We reserved one on SpotHero.

The building is old. The pool is nice though.

Clean room
- 3/5
The room was fine, very clean, the only thing that's inconvenient is the elevator which makes a terrible noise and doesn't let you sleep peacefully, obviously if your room is close to it. The valet parking service takes too long to deliver your car and that's not good either.
- 5/5
Great place to stay especially in the downtown Houston area!
- 2/5
The hotel description does not clearly state that parking is valet-only. It lists: Parking Height restrictions apply for onsite parking Secured, covered valet parking on site. At check-in, I was told by one staff member that valet parking would be $35 plus tax. At checkout, a different employee said it was $55 plus tax. When I explained what I had been told at check-in, the response was simply, “Sorry, but it will be $55 plus tax.” No attempt to honor the original price or resolve the inconsistency. To make matters worse, they lost my car keys. I had to wait 35 minutes before they finally allowed me to look myself to see if my keys were in their storage area. The room itself was just okay, but it was right next to the elevator, and I could hear the elevator shaft going up and down all night, which made it very difficult to sleep. Would I stay here again? Absolutely not. For the price and the level of service, this experience was not worth it.

Everything excellent! From helpful staff to accommodation
- 5/5
Breakfast variety and quality average/above average (also wonderful staff) Location excellent Room was spacious and clean
- 5/5
We made use of the breakfast every morning. It was kept very clean and orderly. The room was very clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
The breakfast was hot and fresh, with a wide variety of options to chose from. The room was clean, and had everything you needed. Staff was professional and accommodating.
- 5/5
The staff were so welcoming and fixed concerns almost immediately. Our shower had no pressure we told them and had a new one before we were back from our days adventures. They listened attentively and were super amazing. The rooms were clean and comfortable and spacious
- 5/5
Fantastic hotel! Impeccably clean, with friendly and attentive staff throughout. The breakfast offered an excellent variety of delicious options. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend it!
- 5/5
I like how the property was adjacent to the other two hotels. The amenities I requested were there as well
- 3/5
First room had candy paper coffe cup bags of trash and dirty wash clothes. Second room was good. And parking is way to expensive
- 5/5
It was very business friendly, with clean rooms and great staff members
- 3/5
Room was nice, elevator is slow (typically). Was disappointed I received a miscellaneous charge for valet (did not drive) and had to call twice to fix it.
- 5/5
Had a girls’ trip in Houston. The hotel was great! The staff was great! Great location! I will definitely stay here again!
- 4/5
We were very disappointed with housekeeping as our room was only cleaned once over our 4 day stay and it seemed only at our request. Otherwise we were pleased with the hotel.

The hotel seems old and not updated. There were stains on the sofa. Breakfast was horrible

- 3/5
very well located, below average breakfast, bathroom in disrepair with cracked toiled and chipped sink cabinet
- 5/5
Rooms need a little update kinda stuck in 90s but were clean.
- 3/5
Property is very old and needs updates ASAP. Rooms are very large, that helps, but they do need to be remodeled. There are 3 hotelss on the same building and can be very confusing. PARKING ONSITE IS FOR $60 per day, or else, you need to go 3 blocks away. The are is not necesarily unsafe, but it feels unsafe. There are lots of homeless people laying on the florr, lots of tourists driving scooters, there is athe metro that runs a block away, there is a stop roght there. Suggestion, do not rent a car. Use uber or the metro, much cheaper and less hassle. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful. But the cleaning is not good. Floors were dirty, my bed one time was undone on the corners or using the imcorrect sheet size, and the first day even had a huge stain of coffee, or something like that. Had to ask them to bring new sheets, snd though they offered to send somebody to do the bed and I said no, they didnt insist either or offer apologies for the mix up. I was tired and wanted to sleep, we had arrived from the airport late and found my bed being like that. There are restarurants in the area, and is a walkable area, but I suggest only during the day. The one convenient thing is is very close to the convention center, concert hall and Baseball field, AND STARBUCKS is right ln the corner, lifesaver. Breakfast was good, varied and plentiful. I’ll give you that. But the hotel was not pretty. I would not stay here again.
- 2/5
I stayed at the Springhill Suites and I didn’t mind the stay however they put us on the 14th floor right next to the laundry chute and the whole floor smelled like a dead body was up there. That is horrible.
- 5/5
Excelente. Pero debe haber más opciones para estacionamiento.
- 5/5
So nice. Quite, but beautiful downtown spot.
- 5/5
Clean Room, spacious and perfect location
- 1/5
The staff was extremely unprofessional and rude. The hotel does not even provide one bottle of complimentary water. Other than that if you agree to pay they ask you to come get it from the reception, saying no staff to deliver. Embarrassing

Great stay!
- 5/5
Great breakfast! Our room had everything we need. The only negative thing that I can say is that the beds are to hard but overall everything was good.
- 4/5
Comfortable even for 5 adults sharing a room. Parking and getting around was a nightmare. The courtyard grill and fryer was broken so we were not able to eat on site for dinner. We rode the streets for an hour looking for some place open to eat. Breakfast was good in the mornings and held us up all day for our excursions. Would definitely stay again! Thanks for a good vacation.
- 3/5
The three hotels being together was confusing
- 5/5
Great customwr service, onlybthing i didnt like was you ha e to find public parking or pay extra for the valet no regular parking dor guest without a fee.
- 4/5
Breakfast was above average, room was good, had to ask for coffee replenishment and trolley out window was disturbing.
- 5/5
Excellent location
- 5/5
The breakgast was delicious, room was clean, bed was comfy, staff was nice and professional.

Great area and safe and clean
- 4/5
I like that it is the old Humble Oil Bldg. Great use of an iconic bldg.
- 5/5
Staff was nice and helpful. Room was clean.
- 5/5
It was good. No happy hour or welcome gift . Staff was friendly. They over charged for parking called down and they fixed it right away.
- 4/5
I stayed for 5 days. The hotel is nice. It is very convenient to things downtown. The weight room was useful. Front desk staff was helpful. Just wished the maid would have taken out the trash and cleaned bedding during my stay. I shouldn’t have to ask for clean towels after 3 days.
- 5/5
Great location and price plus the staff was nice. The only issue i had is the shower had no place to place my bar soap or my wifes liquid soap. We literally had to place them on the shower floor while taking a shower. Room 1213. Im not sure if all rooms are this way.
- 4/5
I had a great stay. Service was excellent
- 5/5
2nd stay as good as the first
- 5/5
Great staff. Good location in downtown.
- 2/5
I stayed in a room that the shower any time it was one made a banging noise, the whole time, unless the water was on high. We had to ask for toilet paper because they didn’t restock that in the 4 nights we were there, and they only came in one time for room service to give us clean towels in our room and take out trash. The room itself was so awkwardly layed out, anyone in the bathroom was right across from the people in the 2 beds. I would spend the money to stay somewhere else and not recommend this hotel to anyone planning to stay more than 1 night.
- 2/5
There is no public parking, only valet which is pricey, only option is to park somewhere else and carry your stuff to the hotel, not good. The room we were given was right next to the elevator, it was loud, it was impossible to nap or sleep at all, the mechanism to the room door broke, it was almost midnight, my daughters 8 and 12 years old were tired but we had to wait in the hall for almost half an hour until it got fixed. Not a fun experience at all, I suggest people planning a stay anywhere ask the right questions before booking.
- 5/5
Great place and close to stadium
- 5/5
The hotel was amazing. My son and I went to a concert and enjoyed the quick walk to the Toyota center. He loved the breakfast and pool.
- 4/5
Nice place
- 5/5
They gave me an upgade due to being early no charge, they were soooo nice and clean. The snacks were ridiculously expensive
- 5/5
Very good stay. The hotel was somewhat dated. New couch needed.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the comfortable
- 5/5
My stay was excellent. Highly recommend for the price
- 4/5
The room was very spacious, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom setup was good with shelves to place items. There was no hook on the back of the bathroom door to hang our travel toiletry bag. It was pretty noisy at times, which is understandable with being downtown, but we heard loud cars/motorcycles and larger trucks with their “backing up” sound quite a bit and clearly. Breakfast was amazing! Turkey sausages, cage free scrambled eggs, oatmeal and several toppings, and the best waffles I’ve had from a hotel in a long while! Very soft and fluffy! Chocolate, whole and 2% milk in bottles/cartons. Overall, we were a little skeptical initially, but after our trip, we were satisfied with our experience here. Don’t forget to get Frank’s Pizza delivered and tip well because they are always extremely busy and deliver on bikes! Get the classic pepperoni and/or simply cheese. The “cheese sticks” were also delicious.
- 5/5
Wonderful stay! We did have a hiccup with the valet got rained on but as soon as we walked in the front desk representative brought towels out for us! It was so thoughtful.
- 4/5
Only one ice machine in the entire hotel seemed to be working. We had a little trouble figuring out how to get in.to the hotel Three Marriott properties together with confusing exterior signage made us unsure where to enter.
