Sonesta Simply Suites Houston – NASA Clear Lake

Clean some staff was nice and yet beyond.

I've been displaced since May..living in a different hotel. Coming to Sonesta for a couple of days is rest for me and to get away from the snoring bears I'm staying with. Sonesta is a very quiet place to decompress. And cook..I probably saved 100 that I usually spend a week having to eat out by being able to cook. I love coming here. Everyone one is friendly and there is easy access to restaurants and stores. I highly recommend.

Some of the lamps were not working , air conditioning didn’t cool and shower drain stopper would not stay open allowing the water to drain down. Other than that I love the stay and will continue to look forward on staying there in the future.

This time was not good. Found a roach in the room then one remote was missing then the other one didn't work. It was hot in the room. The lock didn't work.

Cleanest hotel I've been to in a while.

As usual, the staff at the Sonesta Clear Lake are amazing. They were able to accommodate an early check in for me. Since this was a business trip, my coworker and I needed to meet in the room to work. Staff found an extra office chair for us. The only complaint is the wifi. I’m a Sonesta Rewards member, and there used to be high speed internet for program members. Management changed and the wifi is throttled. This created a significant challenge for my coworker and I. I’ll be back in a couple of months.

This place is great..nice outside inside atmosphere. Smelled great. Kitchen just big enough. Property well maintained. It's quiet..peaceful zen.I would highly recommend. I've been displaced from my house for 3 months. Living in Hotels...this stay was a treat.

Nice and clean

Room was decent but there wasn’t a hair dryer or cutting board in the room. Two essentials I needed for my stay. Fridge was super cold so that’s a plus. There’s no usb-c plug so that was a bummer. I had to run and bought me a block to charge my phone

Good location right near clear lake university, also near canes, sonic and McDonald’s. I woke in the middle of the night to drink some water and saw a small cockroach on the table/desk area. Also saw a small spider on the floor near the kitchen area.

They stole my 2 deposits...total of $100.00....I left rooms in great shape, have tried to contact sonesta but they have made it impossible to call...no #s...I feel like they do this on purpose...unless I get my deposit back, I'll never stay again, and at the end of 14 days since I checked out, I will begin posting my story on all social media. If you can help I would be most grateful

Hotel get recently remodeled and painted. Amenities also get upgraded and in whole hotel is now best option to select to long stay in Houston

Disappointing

Enjoy my stay , very clean and staff were very polite.

The lights in bedroom did not work properly. To get the bedside lamps on you had to have the overhead light on. Also the ice machine did not work,

If you work remote, would recommend somewhere else bc the WiFi in the rooms is not good, but other than that I was great place.

Super friendly staff. Clean and quiet. Gym is very accommodating.

Cleanliness and friendly staff

I had to move twice. First time, walked into room and it smelled like a Marlboro cigarette. Then was moved to second room that when I walked into bathroom to shower… roaches in Tub and walls. Lastly, there seems to not be a maid service either. Just very poorly run.

Sonesta Suites in Clearlake Texas provides very good accommodation and the staff is very helpful and friendly.

We had a good stay here. It is in a safe neighborhood. The room was clean, but could use some updates. The room is air conditioned and the King suite we stayed in was roomy and comfortable. Parking is available on sight at no charge. My biggest complaint is there was no pool!! The staff was very friendly and always willing to help!

Been staying in major hotel chains and just so far Sonnesta is on of the best.

This location works great for business travel. It has everything needed as a functional space and has the tools needed to prepare meals, which saves a lot of money. The beds are fine and there were plenty of towels and a small bottle of dish soap. It was quiet and, as a solo female traveler, I felt safe on the property. The outside is well lit. It is very close to Kroger and Walgreens, as well as several restaurants. The staff were very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

The room 102 was cleaned but had a smell and the ac had a noise when it clicked on...

Absolutely love this hotel! I've stayed in many hotel around Houston and this hotel really feels like home away from home. Very clean, kind staff, and great studio like room. Thank you for having us! We will be back soon.

I love this hotel!!

It is an extended stay property with a kitchenette area and they had roaches.

However, there were a couple of downsides. For a two-room suite, having only two chairs at the dining table felt insufficient for our family. Additionally, we were a bit unlucky with some noise. On both days, there was a loud sound coming from the bathroom, which sounded like a vacuum or some other machinery. The timing was unpredictable: it started right after we arrived in the afternoon and kept buzzing until 9:30 PM, and it started humming again the next morning. Overall, it is a very nice place, but the noise in the bathroom was a bit bothersome.

A so-so place to stay. It was a little dated and the beds were low quality and not comfortable. Overall, its an affordable place with a clean room. No frills but not much to complain about. 3 stars.

Terrible place to stay. Full of pot heads and smells horrible all over the place. Do not recommend, will not ever step foot on this place.

I wouldn’t recommend unless you’re ok sleeping in a room infested with fleas.

Room has that cheap hotel smell. (You know I'm talking about). Could have definitely been cleaner. Random hair here and there. Older style. Get what you pay for. I question the cleanliness of the beds just looking at the surroundings.

The room looks ok and organized, I like the mini kitchen and kitchen amenities, just need to clean more thoroughly, the countertop, the floor, and the refrigerator too. The phone doesn’t work, AC works well, the bathroom is clean, towel rack hanger came off and no hair dryer probably have to ask the front desk. During summer, it’s high 90ish degrees, it’s so hot and humid I’m a little disappointed the hotel doesn’t provide water bottle to the customer, If you want to buy one, you have to pay in cash of $2.00 no option. But the front desk offer us a bottle anyway since we didn’t carry cash. Thank you

I reserved my stay on Hotels.com. I was going to pay at the property. I had an old card on there. I received an email rhe day I was supposed to check in that I needed to update my payment information. The message said I had until 22:09 pm…which by my calculation of military time is 10:09 pm…or my room would be canceled. I did so at 4:24 pm and received the email confirmation. I arrived at the hotel at just after 8 pm and they had canceled my reservation. Canceled. My. Reservation. Canceled it earlier than what was supposed to be canceled. They didn’t have any rooms. And I feel that being that it was the July 4th weekend, and others were going for double what I reserved on Hotels.com, I think they deliberately canceled it earlier to get more from another customer.

I have stayed here several times. This was the best room overall, 301. Krista was great at the front desk. I will be back hopefully get that same room.

The check in and staff was amazing. I've never had such good service. The room was clean, the stove worked, fridge worked, ice maker. Everything worked it was just minor things that could of been better.

The first thing is that the front desk person was friendly and expedient and was just exceptional! The room was great and we had our service animal with us and she put us by a door on the ground so that we would be able to conveniently take her out. Everything worked great and the room was spacious and very clean. The only thing I would say is that the bed seemed a little too soft and maybe the mattress needs to be replaced but overall it was a great stay and we would stay there again.

Nice and attentive staff. Bathroom issues were quickly resolved by offering us a new room. Plenty of free parking and air conditioning worked as expected.

It was very quiet and the bed was comfortable... Kitchenette came with pots and pans for cooking, dishes and silverware.. Plenty of places to eat within walking distance... The only issue was the shower drained slow and the TVs need to be upgraded... Overall I enjoyed my experience and would stay here again...

For even the rate we got i would not stay here walls are thin our neighbors on both sides were loud talking and one had a dog barking all night and our room smelt like weed and beds are not the most comfortable

The ONLY EXCEPTION is the Roaches came out in the room and it was actually after an extended customer left and their room was cleaned. The roaches began to scatter. Other than that it was a good stay

The bathroom sink did not drain so I couldn’t use it, asked for it to be fixed, never happened. Had to use the kitchen sink to brush my teeth, wash my hands, etc. Coffee maker didn’t work so I just said forget it because they never fixed the sink when asked.

Rooms were very clean. 3rd floor which was a new one for my pups, using the elevator up after walks. All went well. Beds were comfortable; linens seemed new or just in really good shape. Ample bathroom space. I really appreciated that the (at least in the pet friendly room) there was vinyl tile floors. I was worried about having puppies but that put me at ease. Location was great, quiet, off the main thoroughfare but easy access to the Clear Lake area. Nice property especially for the price.

Nice area, we had a nice time. Room was clean, hotel kept up nicely and very quiet. We would stay here again.

Parking was easy and ample. The staff greeted us as we checked in. Rooms were clean and air conditioning worked well. Rooms were a bit musty smelling but not overwhelming. We would stay here again!

The building was unclean, and our room smelled strongly of smoke. The hallways smelled like cigarette smoke and marijuana. There was also a loud, constant noise coming from the bathroom area throughout the night; it sounded like power washing and made it difficult to sleep. Most concerning, there were roaches; the little kind. That alone says everything.

The next night, we saw four roaches in the bathroom. There was also dog feces inside the building by the elevator. The rooms smelled of cigarettes or marijuana. Showers don’t have liners so make sure the curtain itself is in the shower. There were stains on our walls and water stains all along the ceiling. The phone didn’t work and no pots and pans were included even though the description said there would be some. The GM Jash said because I wasn’t the only complaint they would now have to have a pest control inspection done. He told my friend that their unit was noted to have roaches and shouldn’t have been rented out. But for some reason they rented it out to her. He then told me an hour later that his establishment had not had this roach issue before (though he just told my friend her room had a known problem) I am awaiting the pest inspection results even though I showed them photographs of the roaches within their unit. He offered me a discount for my next visit and I told him I would never stay at his establishment again.

Another great stay. Looking forward to the next one.

Can’t complain with the price that I have paid. The only thing that I can think of is the elevator is too slow.
