Greatest hotel ever will stay again

Room was set up for 2 pers- if more then 2 people showing up going to have to ask for more blankets and towels

Housekeeping was friendly and helpful. Both of the rooms I rented on the 3rd floor had roaches/water bugs. Garbage disposals did not work causing sink to clog. Air conditioner leaked water everytime it was used saturating the carpet and causing room to stink. The property was listed as having a working pool which was neither a pool or in working condition. They had a small 4 person whirlpool. Laundry room smelled of dead rodent. Hotel also has a no guest policy which is not included in the listing and is not conveyed to customers at check in. Elevator posseses no inspection paperwork posing a danger to customers.

The staff was rude. He questioned us entirely too much asking how many was staying since we came with 3 people instead of 2. The sheets were dirty and we were refused more. The toilet was nasty. Pull out bed has crumbs in it and the mattress fell while I was sitting on it. Smelled like marijuana. Overall just avoid.

Did not return 100$ deposit

I’ve booked here before and had confidence that I booked again for 2 nights. NEVER AGAIN…when I got in the room it’s as if no one had vacuumed. so went to the front desk and they assisted me. Woke up the next morning to roaches and a BIG one right on the wall and in the corners. I did switch rooms: the second one was cool but the thought of roaches messed me up. So never again

The staff lady was nice and helpful but one of the staff guy there was rude to my friend about the TV. The room was spacious but had a few roaches roaming around the kitchen area and bathroom. Kitchen sink easily gets clogged.

It was ok. It has dishes to use with the small kitchen they provide but the dishes were dirty. I couldn’t even use the cups and they don’t provide a sponge or soap to at least wash them. Our AC was leaking the carpet was wet.

As soon as you walk in, there is a strong “smoke “ order of what people use “recreationally”. In the room, I didn’t even want to get changed for bed. Smelly and room was full of humidity. I will never stay in a Sonesta again!!

Very disappointed there was an infestation of cockroaches coming out of the woodwork and as soon as you turn the light on, they need to really control the pests.

We had to cancel a room before that because they lied about the rooms available. We get to this property and check in was fine. Here is where things went left. They also lied about the room available. They labeled it as having a kitchenette but lied. The owners family stays on the property. They came in our room after we left for food. We literally left for 20 minutes so they immediately came in our room. They tried to blame it on housekeeping and eventually told us the truth. The owner sent his wife in the room. We wouldn't of known if she hadn't left towels on the table. So we thought why would she leave towels but not collect old towels. Contacted expedia for. They refused to give us our cash deposit back as well. This is about the worst hotel in the area. Went to another hotel and was able to enjoy our weekend. Just a horrible experience. Btw they have a big screen with cameras that only view the hallways.

Hotel is located around several restaurants. Staff was pleasant and room was clean.

The rooms were clean with a modern style. Cozy and comfortable environment. I travel for work and this was perfect for when I had to do a little bit of remote work, had a table big enough to sit down and work at.

This location needs major renovations. We have stayed in other locations in other states and this is poor in comparison. The hallways and rooms smelled. The furniture is old. The pullout sofa bed is old and the bed is uncomfortable. We normally stay in these locations for breakfast as stated in the description. NO breakfast was served either of the 4 days we stayed. The price we paid was way too much for this location. This is a 1 star location. I do not recommend.

I like that the hotel was close to everything and the freeway The room and bathroom wasn't clean well, there was a foul smell as soon as you walk into the hotel. The hallways reeked, elevator floor was dirty. My door didn't lock properly which made me feel unsafe, we used chairs to put behind the door to keep from someone coming into our room. There was salt in the kitchen sink. I wasn't refunded back my deposit, front desk wasn't helpful at all. Front desk acted like my deposit was refunded but it wasn't. Told me call back when Bob the manager was there, I called back and he told me Bob went to pick up his kids. Phone had stains on it, there was a stain on the couch. Only one face towel was placed in the bathroom. Tissue was leftover from the previous guest, we did not have a full roll. I bought my own tissue from walmart to use. House keeping didn't make my bed. Sheets were dingy. I only stayed here after previosuly having two airbnbs cancelled twice in one day. Do not stay here. The rooms were dirty and smelled like “skunk”. The carpets were torn up. We had 6 people staying in our room and they refused to give us more than 2 towels. The hotel is not well taken care of at all. They just taped over the old name of the hotel on everything. The ice machine was tagged with a do not use and had a large red tag on it from the health inspector! The toilet never stopped running the entire time we were there and the very few dishes that we’re provided were so dirty that they were unusable. Definitely a no for me.

They did not have breakfast. And the hotel wanted to charge me $100 deposit for my service dog when the site says that for service animals all fees are waived. And by state law in Texas service animals are exempt from hotel fees or deposits. They insisted on this deposit even after I showed them paperwork confirming my dog was a service dog. I ended up having to board my dog because I refuse to pay $100 deposit. As well as the managers here said the room has to be cleaned every three days and on the website it says linens and housekeeping by request. As well as the walls are paper thin and you can hear everything there's literally no privacy. For this price per week it's not worth it

I was immediately charged more after paying for the booking online. Claiming that i booked a handicap room that costs more and thatvi needed a sticker. I am 60 years of age, live alone and have had a history of having seizures. I was too tired to argue and was charged an additional $60.

The bathroom drainage awful, the first night and it was clogged. Misleading pictures of the bedroom, old furniture.

The hotel is newly purchase and needs work. But the staff were absolutely lovely.

Nice soft beds with blankets that feel similar to home. Heavy duty curtains to block out the light, great hot showers and big towels! Wonderful staff, very friendly and they are willing to work with you on late check ins.

The toilet seat was loose. Hazard for mature guests. The carpet in front of the elevator was torn, another hazard for mature guests. The bath tub spiggot was turned to the side. The ultimate insult was no coffee in the lobby, one packet of decaf in the room, and when the front desk was asked, I was given two small packets that didn't work with the coffee maker in the room.

There were too many small flies in the room which caused a major discomfort

The rooms are clean. The housekeeping is fantastic. Honestly, I’ll be staying here every time. I’m in Houston.

Saw spider on my pillow , poop on curtains and overall sheets were dirty. And toilet was not flushing and clogged and running. Still waiting on the refund they promised to give me and still haven’t sent it to us.

This Sonesta is my Houston home away from home. It is clean, quiet, convenient, safe. The A/C works. The water is hot. Good TV. Good mattress and linens. Friendly staff.

The night time clerk was who we had most our interactions with and he was awesome every time. He actually made our stay as good as it was. Would come back there just for him honestly. It’s insane how rude and not helpful hotel staff can be at places so it was very refreshing to have someone so kind and quick to accommodate when we needed. We’ll be back

Nice place, clean prestable similar to a small apartment and kitchnette with pots and pans, dishes, cups, plates normal size refrigerator and a dishwasher very nice for only 50 dollars special for that night very impressed normal rates might higher during heavy booking days but impressive.

Love It

During my stay there was no WiFi which interfered with my work since I work remotely and trash all over the property due to near by restaurants.

Will keep this place in mind for future stays. The guy at the front desk who works nice really made the stay increase in stars as well.

This used to be favorite hotel in houston, but was sold. Immediate changes for the worse. No breakfast anymore, front desk people nice but dressed sloppily, dog at front desk with Bowls, no tv guide and labels don’t match network, lights out in br, strong matijuans smell on hall.

pretty dated but for a 2 or 2.5 star hotel, its good.

Check in and out was easy. friendly reception. beds were comfortable and everything was clean. Only complaint was that it advertised free breakfast and they are currently not serving for whatever reason. However Denny's is right next door!

I love it. It’s a little mini home for me. I feel safe. It’s so quiet. It’s so clean and comfortable. The beds are comfortable as the pillows.. the housekeeping are so generous is so nice. The ones that work in the front desk amazing..

This is very good value for money. It is just off the freeway literally. Staff is attentive to your needs. No breakfast was served since property had just changed ownership. I found that the first floor seemed to have a smell which I hope they figure it out. My room was quite cozy, clean bathroom, sheets, kitchenette, fridge. Only asked for change of sheets and towels which was promptly done.

This is my honest opinion. When we arrived at the hotel the receptionist was very kind and helpful. I can't complain. When I asked what time breakfast was served, I was told that since the hotel had been sold recently they didn't have breakfast until they were granted the permits to do so and that they needed to prepare the place. Hotels.com indicated that they did offer breakfast. To not make my review too long, the hotel is very outdated and needs a lot of work. It has potential because of its location and it is very accessible. They should also update their website.

No breakfast available! The Bar next door is on weekends very noisy! If it’s windy, the TV has no signal.

Very nice suite, complete with microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. Very pleasant staff. Great location.
