The room was disgustingly dirty. A used towel in the bathroom and blood on the beds as well as cockroaches on the floor. Two of our party had their room doors left wide open all day after the cleaner had been in, I'm not sure how this hotel has got a fairly decent rating as it was one of, if not the worst place I've ever stayed

breakfast was underwhelming. Room did have a cigarette musky smell. Lots of sketchy activity going on around the property. Saw more than a few things that encouraged me not to leave my room later in the evening.

There were roaches, spiders, stained linens, no lamps, no coffee, no shampoo or conditioner. We were initially sent to a room that wasn't made ready it was a terrible experience. AND. They wanted a deposit for my service dog. Do not use this hotel.

I am open to staying at 2 star "Hotels" as long as they are clean. All I am usually looking for is a place to lay my head, unless I am with my wife. This motel looked pretty run down on the outside. The reviews weren't really honest about this place. There is highway noise, which I'm ok with, but a lot of noise coming from the other guests. Very inconsiderate people, who would be very loud throughout the night. People would also smoke outside your door. I had to keep the bathroom lights on as there were a few sightings of baby roaches. There was a huge gap between the bottom of the door, and there was light coming from the side of the door. The air conditioner was a positive as it worked well. The hot water was also very good. I did go to the lobby once, for the free breakfast. They only offered a few items. I don't complain about the food, as this hotel is a cheap place to stay. The guy, at the front desk, was very nice. I only booked it as there were some good reviews and it was listed as 2.5 stars. Again, I feel bad about this review, but if you want to sleep, this place is not for you. 1.5 stars on a good day. It is close to supermarkets, walgreens and restaurants.

Clean room, friendly staff, and had the necessities I needed - fridge, toiletries, good WiFi internet.

Had to cancel my reservation 1 hour after I made it. They charged the full $78 as a penalty for the cancelation. Anyway I can get my money back.

Bed sheets and pillowcases were so stained we chose to drive 2 hours home at 1am rather than risking what we could get if we slept in that bed. So Gross!!!

The room was clean not too fancy, but expected value for the price

They weren't able to find my reservation, almost trying to blame me for booking it for the wrong date or location. I checked emails, receipts, and bank account and all showed I booked the right location and I was already charged for it. He kept wanting to see proof, which I provided, then he "found" the reservation. Proceeded to send me to a room with only one bed, which was incorrect . I called front office and told him that I booked two beds and he said I was wrong. I read him what the receipt said and after insisting, he finally agreed to give me two beds. When he met me in the wrong room to give me new keys, he requested to see my reservation again, then blamed Expedia for the mistake.

The first night we got there we noticed that the sheets where not very clean at all and the bathroom had some hair on the shower and tub. Next morning we requested the room cleaned very well and a change of sheets and they did it. They offered to change our room but we decline because we didn't want to move all our stuff to another room. The breakfast they offer is very basic.

Will never stay there again. The room was had a musty, cigarette stench, the bathroom door didn’t close, the sheets on one bed had red stains and comforters had yellow stains on them and the worst part was the continuous knocking throughout the night. Different people kept coming by and knocking throughout the night, there was a lot of activity next door. It was a scary night. We booked the room for 2 nights. Got there at 11:30pm. I was too tired to go look somewhere else and had already paid for my room before getting there. We checked in at 11:30pm and checked out at 10am the next day. Was told they couldn’t refund my money for the second day. I do NOT recommend this place. Terrible night!

I really enjoyed the room as it had everything I needed to stay for a week including a fridge, microwave, satellite TV etc. The room was clean and close to good restaurants and shopping. Safe area and close to downtown Houston. I would book this hotel again.

When I got arrived, they had to change my room twice because they kept putting me in a room that the housekeeping didn't clean yet. When I finally received a room, It was ancient. The couch in my room had stains, and the room had a nasty smell of smoke: marijuana and cigarette. At 4 am, someone saying they were the police kept banging on a door down the hallway for 30 minutes. There are too many other options in this area for just a little more than offering a better experience. Don't waste your money here.

Stayed a few days for some course I needed. It served my purpose. Very clean, no foul odors, no bugs seen while I was there, breakfast was small but enough for me.

The property is hidden, the breakfast offered was decent and I liked the options. My room smelled horrible and there were dead roaches in the bathroom.

I really enjoyed the complimentary breakfast, it saved us $$ every morning. The receptionist, Sunil, was by far the most helpful. He was very friendly. I give him 5 stars for his great customer service.

The beds were not to good and the pillows were lumpy. But the worst was the low low toilet. Oh, did I mention a low toilet?

Conveniet for a one night stay fairly closein. Breakfast offering was on the poor side otherwise everthing quite acceptable.

Check in was awful. They canceled my reservation after I checked in because I had friends help me.

Excellent value and very comfortable! Don't book a hotel this cheap thinking it is going to be newly remodeled and pristine; this one isn't. It is straight out of the 80's, but it was fairly clean and the beds were very comfortable. Everything worked, shower water pressure and temp was great, great wifi, check-in and -out was perfect, etc. This place is right off a major road, but the rooms are surprisingly quiet. The fact that all doors open to the outside is a plus because we didn't have to listen to kids and drunk adults running the halls all night. The blackout curtains are big enough that they don't leave the annoying gap that some hotel room have; the room was VERY dark and I slept great. We had to leave early so we didn't get a look at the breakfast. Overall, I'm very glad we booked this place!

A good one nighter

Room was fairly clean, carpet could have used a more thorough vacuuming. Water was leaking on the floor in the bathroom, dirty handprints on the back of the door. No coffee pot. Waffles for breakfast, but no syrup. Bed was comfortable, but the sheets and pillow cases were rough and scratchy. Ghetto location and some sketchy people around.

Motel is in much need of updating.

This hotel is very nice... It's a little older but it's really clean and it's in a good area. Next time I come to Houston I will definitely book here again.

The condition of the room was terrible. The bed was a painful rack. The TV, which had DISH network was indecipherable to someone not a DISH user. There was not channel guide provided. A call to the desk got me the channel number of a channel I wanted to watch but navigating the on-screen guide was ridiculous. The "free breakfast” was a joke and the very small lobby where it was served was not very clean. I would never stay at a Rodeway in again.

In my case the only issue was the microwave not working, but after contacting the front desk it was replaced right away. Other than that everything was great.

Overall, Happy with my stay. Arrived early and they worked to get me into my room quickly. The room was comfortable amd cozy, clean, and well furnished. The wifi was great at times, but dropped often late at night. Not sure why, but cut out frequently. Other than that, a nice stay.

Goodnight overall. if you're not picky, like me, this place is for you. we saw one little roach crawling up the dresser and my boyfriend just flicked it away. i wasn't too worried about it since it was a little one and we didn't notice any more during our stay. Free breakfast included was good. two cereals, yogurt, milk, waffles, coffee, oj, lemonade, toast, bagels and pastries.

I loved my stay at Rodeway Inn! The staff were polite and very helpful! I had a minor issue with the satellite not working, and as soon as I mentioned it, the staff hopped right up to check it out and got it fixed for me! I'll definitely be staying here again!

It's was so far from Huston down town and evere of interest. But nice breakfast, free parking and room cool.

Staff is really nice,rates are cheap HOWEVER this hotel is located in a bad area. Stopped in my car to check gps and prostitute approached my car. Then I watched her go back into a room 2 doors down. Random people "hanging" around area late night . Spend more elsewhere if you value your safety
