Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its central location in downtown Houston, close to various attractions and restaurants. The rooms are often described as spacious, clean, and well-equipped, with many guests appreciating the full kitchen. Breakfast is frequently mentioned as a highlight, with a good variety and quality of food. However, parking is a common issue, with many guests finding it expensive and difficult to navigate. There are also some complaints about the cleanliness and maintenance of certain rooms, and a few guests have had negative experiences with the staff.

They overcharged me almost $120, for valet parking that I didn’t even use. I have contacted them multiple times for the refund but they still making excuses.

Great clean rooms, really good breakfast, and friendly staff! Convenient location downtown.

Front desk clerk was the sweetest. She really made us feel welcomed. We always stay here when going to downtown Houston and we will continue staying.
- 5/5
The breakfast was great and the dining area was open with plenty of room for guests to sit and eat. Having different breakfast options each day was also nice. The pool area is huge and great for photos! Bonus for having a small kitchen and fridge in the room for snacks!

Great staff and good atmosphere. Will be back soon !
- 5/5
All of the staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is a bit dated and there are some carpet stains in the elevator/hall areas, but that wasn't a big deal to us. The room itself was clean and large with a queen size bed, kitchen, and plenty of counter space near the bathroom sink. We loved the complimentary breakfast in the morning (hot items change daily) and the coffee and fruit-infused ice water that is available all day. We would definitely stay at the Residence Inn again the next time we're in Houston!

The staff was friendly and professional. The room was well stocked with items I needed. There weren't individual creamers for the morning coffee at breakfast, only the milk carafes to choose from.

Great staff, clean facility, great location.

The hotel is conveniently located near the Daikin Park, with plenty of shopping and dining options nearby. Rates were elevated during our stay because of the Astros events, Fan Fest, and FIFA World Cup activities taking place in Houston.

Breakfast was excellent but the hotel overall is old. Does not give a hotel vibe. Furnitures old. Rooms not clean. Our room did not have a trash can in the bathroom. Staff was great but won’t stay here again as you can fine better hotels to stay in the area for the same price.
- 3/5
Staff was great, but the entire property needs a facelift. Very dated.
- 5/5
Good space, great location , friendly staff The facility has easy access to many restaurants , the cleanliness was amazing in the room and restaurant with complementary breakfast with great selection. Friendly staff
- 5/5
Overall excellent. Room was spacious, very clean. Breakfast was great. We enjoyed the stay.
- 4/5
But lots of good things as well. Very spacious rooms, has a kitchen and a really good spot I think for longer stay. Felt safe, and breakfast was wonderful! Kuddos to the staff at the breakfast lobby because she was making sure it’s getting refilled when the popular food are getting low! We absolutely enjoyed breakfast! Staff front were nice too.
- 5/5
Front desk checking in, staff was very warm welcoming and super friendly. Room was perfect and spacious! Very clean and staff was very good at doing requesting for any additional items or asking for additional information, staff was super courteous, valet parking was made super easy and the valet staff was very friendly and professional and felt our vehicle was in god hands without worries. Would love to stay here again. A+++++

Property was horrible. Urine and poop stain all over the carpet. Water was barely warm. Furnishings were very dated. Refund was refused. Expedia also wasn’t any help!

- 3/5
Not much to do and see in downtown Houston. The facility, while maintained, is ver dated and worn
- 5/5
Nice staff, Clean rooms
- 5/5
Valet parking only but swift service. Some other parking in area. Has Starbucks next door. Breakfast had a rotating menu and a variety of hot/cold options. Good kitchen area, full fridge, dishwasher and 2 burner stove top. 2 TVs one in sitting area and other in bedroom area. they have on site laundry and fitness room. Across from Houston PD. Entrance for Residence Inn is at the Mariott main entrance 914 Dallas. Some restaurants in area. Sports Bar restaurant a couple blocks away . Not far from Randells grocery store (not walkable) I will stay again
- 4/5
The property has no smart tvs in the guest rooms and a limited channel selection. The properties hallways had an overpowering air freshener smell.
- 5/5
Room was clean and very quiet. Staff was super welcoming and helpful. Breakfast had different options each morning, which was nice since I was staying a whole week. There is a Starbucks on the corner, too, which was convenient for that extra kick in the am.
- 5/5
Location and atmosphere. Safety on property.
- 1/5
Nowhere during the booking did it say you had to be 21 to get a room my adult 20 year old son was turned away and we were told no refund. The staff did not try to help at all in fact told them it was State Law that you had to be 21 to rent a hotel room.
- 5/5
Clean, big room, convienent location to Toyota center, delicious breakfast!
- 4/5
Friendly staff, clean room, needed more breakfast options
- 5/5
Close to Pete’s piano bar and several other attractions
- 3/5
I think the property is due for a renovation but it is still a great option when needing two bedrooms
- 4/5
The room was absolutely massive!!! Easily walkable... would stay here again.
- 5/5
All awesome

Place was great! Bed was comfortable and room was huge!

Older property
- 5/5
It was a very convince to stay as it was near Astros Ballpark. We walked to aquarium was a 20 minutes. it's very convince to get to places. the hotel itself was great!
- 4/5
Great and friendly staff.
- 3/5
Staff was very friendly. The breakfast had a good selection each day. My refrigerator wasn't working very well, it wasn't cold at all and it wouldn't make ice at all and after 3 complaints, I gave up. Also, there is ONLY valet parking at $60 per day, which was not what I was expecting.
- 4/5
We were on the 3rd floor. We did not know that people race their cars on the street right outside, especially on weekends. As a result, we could hardly sleep. If you stay here, request a room on an upper floor. Ask for one that is especially quiet.
- 4/5
Hotel air flow was horrible. Always hot and muggy in the halls and took forever to get room cooled down.
- 1/5
WE PARKED BLOCKS AWAY HAD UBER TAKE US AFRAID OF STREET PEOPLE LEFT AT 2am OUTSIDE NOISE ALL THE TIME PLUMBING or faucets were terrible in sink and shower Beds were HARD PEOPLE WERE VERY FRIENDLY I DONT RECOMMEND THEM THO NO LOCAL BASEBALL GAME AVAILABLE!!
- 5/5
The entire staff members were very friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
My friends and I had a wonderful stay here! The staff was welcoming and attentive and our room was nice and spacious with a great kitchen space. If we’re ever back in area we already said we would be back. The only small thing that I’d ask for is for breakfast to be a bit versatile. I understand if that’s a big ask but that would be the only thing. Other than that keep up the fantastic work!
- 3/5
The hotel and staff was very good but the area near the hotel like the train station was filthy and smelly and I felt unsafe because of the drug addicts hanging around the property
- 3/5
The staff and the room were good. The only problem was parking. The hotel shares the postage stamp-sized parking area with two other hotels. The only choice was in the street or pay $60 for overnight parking. There were no places available on the street that were within three or so blocks. As a single female alone at night, I paid the $60 which I consider to be gouging.
- 4/5
Great location. Great customer service. Only thing I would say is that the property is a bit dated. But I would stay there again.
- 5/5
Property itself is clean, staff is nice. Downtown Houston is dodgy, especially for a woman walking alone. Be aware and watch for being approached by panhandling vagrants.
- 5/5
great costumer service
- 5/5
There was not a lot of anything around the property.
- 5/5
good service and great valet parking
- 5/5
Convenient location near the Metro and Convention Center. Kitchen makes suites ideal for Business Travel.
- 3/5
Not so clean on arrival , found some dirty underwear left by a previous guest behind the door in the bedroom. Didn’t inspire confidence that the place had been cleaned properly. Overall it was average. A bit shabby in the rooms but not a bad stay. Adequate but could do with being cleaner on arrival.
- 5/5
Great!
- 4/5
Affordable option downtown for business. Everything that one needs.
- 2/5
Dirty carpets, poor maintenance, same breakfast each day and not bad, but… Every day the same thing. Not worth the price. Parking $60 a night.
- 5/5
Nice stay. Great breakfast
- 1/5
The hotel manager cancelled my reservation and kept my advance payment. $636.
- 2/5
Convenient location in downtown. However lobby is also shared with Courtyard and Springhill Suites and can be busy with conferences. Rooms are clean but severely outdated and need a renovation.
- 5/5
Great location, clean, very nice!
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful
- 5/5
Great place to stay! Young man in the front very helpful!
- 5/5
Overall, a good hotel to stay at, just be cautious of homelessness around the side of building, which they didn’t bother us.
- 5/5
Didn't know anything about the vaket parking until i arrived, wasn't informed during on-line booking
- 5/5
Super friendly staff, rooms were immaculate. Definitely will be back.
- 4/5
Inter city transport nonexistent, to visit anywhere other than the city of Houston you need to use a cab.
- 5/5
Loved it!
- 4/5
The location is great. The breakfast was good. The ladies at the front desk were pleasant.

- 5/5
Very clean room, kind staffs and convenient to anywhere.
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly and accommodating.
- 1/5
Ben was not helpful and very unprofessional. He was not willing to help even though he was well able to do so!
- 5/5
Very clean rooms and safe property.
- 3/5
the ice maker in the freezer didn't work.
- 5/5
I loved my stay. It's perfect considering the cost...the breakfast was very good with a great selection, the staffs was very friendly and polit, same the guesses. The staff was OUTSTANDING. My room was clean, and I had no issue with the state it was in. A bit of wear and tear noticeable but nothing major. As for the neighborhood, its ok, its downtown located in a business sector, so its a bit boring naturally, but you can walk to better spots easily or take the light train. I highly recommend it.
- 5/5
I stayed here on a business trip. Everything was great! Loved the location. Will stay here again.
