This Hyatt Regency is a typical 3-star business hotel: it was clean, recently updated and has an Einstein Bros bagel store that is open 24/7. I have stayed at this hotel every 3 months for the past few years. What took me by surprise on this particular stay was a Destination Fee that was charged to me without any warning. The front desk clerk said that its a charge for using in Hotels.com to book the room. No where in the room rate description did it say that I would get this charge and didn’t mention it when I checked in. I hate the fact they sprung it on me when I was checking out. I will be looking for a new Houston hotel as a result.

Bar is great. A lot of good restaurants within walking distance. I was approached by a homeless person in the lobby, security could be a bit tighter.

Very great stay. Would easily stay again

I found the hotel to be nice and well located wit,h good facilities. The staff were also always courteous and helpful, top marks to them. The price of the breakfast was very expensive in relation to what was on offer , so I only had it once and chose to eat outside the hotel for this reason.

We were lucky to get an early check in. A bit disappointing that the poolside bar was closed. Maybe it was too hot!

Design of the hotel was excellent, provided cool onsite communal areas great for connecting with people. Pool is excellent. Staff were very helpful and I was offered a complementary late checkout which was very kind! Genuinely no complaints
- 5/5
The service was great. The food at the Spindletop Restaurant was delicious, and the hotel room was luxurious. I don't like hotels that charge guests for parking. It's excessive.

Excellent location. Food availability at all hours

The hotel was very convenient to get to from IAH airport using bus 500. The hotel had great facilities for food and drinks, and they fully embraced the world cup with multiple large TV screens in the lobby for people to watch. The room was large and clean, with all the facilities you would expect. It was very easy to catch buses and metro nearby and there were plenty of dining options nearby. A great stay.

Overrated, I would choose another property next time
- 4/5
Great experience staying for the world cup! They had live soccer matches on in the main atrium/lobby.

Hotel was nice but room was small for the price. The parking option was pricey for the valet and a long walk for self park option.
- 4/5
Overall experience was great. However one of the elevators were done and it was super busy with competitors for a robotics competition, so elevator service was slow. Also, 1st night we waited 15 minutes for bar service that never came so we eventually left and noticed all servers chatting at the hostess stand while we were walking out.

The room was so out of date. Very 70'ish and lacking any modern touch. Nothing on any of the walls and lighting is poor. Bathroom is very old with still an old bathtub with small showerhead.

good for Houston Marathon. If you can finish in 4hrs. You can still come back to take a shower before check out. Make sure walk on the right side of the street to avoid the running course blockage.

Large upscale hotel well located downtown. The room was comfortable but my bathroom really needed updating. There's a large atrium and it is quite loud at night. You can easily hear the noise from the bar inside the room, even from the 12th floor. The staff was very professional and friendly. I was attending a conference which was held at the hotel. Very convenient.

It was clean and quiet.

Lovedddd the Hyatt regency! The hotel was very nice and the staff was super friendly…anything I needed from house keeping was taken care of quickly ex: extra tissue/wash clothes. I will say it definitely gave “it’s a hotel for people who are in town on business” or other professional matters! They also have a 24 hour food spot that prepares hot bagel pizzzas etc so that was also a plus! Very pleased with my stay. Pool area was clean, quiet, and lowkey.

Nice stay !!

It was fine. Parking is high ($55 overnight, is what I was told by the valet when I pulled up) other than that, all good things

Avoid a corner room. Noisiest AC of any hotel I've ever stayed in. Made it hard to sleep. Hotel staff not attentive to guest needs.
