Hyatt House Houston Medical Center

This is an excellent hotel that is well located. The room was a nice size, clean, and quiet. All the staff were friendly and helpful when we had questions or requests. The included breakfast was excellent for us and the free on-site laundry (you provide your own laundry soap) was a welcome surprise. A special thank you to Douglas with maintenance who helped us promptly with a couple minor concerns. My only criticism is that the parking garage elevator was broken for our entire stay (10 nights) - while the hotel did provide transportation to your vehicle in the parking garage it was inconvenient but certainly not a reason not to return and stay at this property again - which we certainly will. We highly recommend this hotel above all else because of its close location to the Texas Medical Center.

The Staff was amazing. The breakfast was great and plentiful. They kept bringing out fresh hot food .. Dont skip out on the pool, or jacuzzi.

Went due to its close proximity to Md Anderson and this hotel was my favorite stay in Houston! The hotel staff was very attentive and kept the room clean

Upon first check in the lady acted like she didn't know what she is doing so the guy took over the conversation.

Outside area not well lit, homeless people kind of overtook the patio/ smoking area which is a bummer if you smoke or enjoy sitting outside in the evening

Nice blackouts on windows. We had one tv remote missing (not that we needed it anyway). The bed was not very confortable, on every movement the structure sounded a lot and the mattress was already sagging. Very quiet floor (10) let us sleep comfortably. It is located on a busy street where trucks and emergency vehicles are a little annoying some times. Last two days the parking elevator was not working and the stairs are not clearly signaled so many people got lost in the parking.

Location was perfect! Breakfast was only ok. Soggy waffles, no bacon, and lightly cooked sausage. Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Parking was convenient even though there is a charge. They don't change bedding or clean room unless it is requested or after the third or fourth night you stay you have stayed. The kitchenette was cute, even though it is only a mini fridge in the room. Sofa bed extremely uncomfortable, very thin mattress.

The menu for lunch and dinner could have better choices and lower prices. I hated to pay for parking. That should be included without increasing room price.

Staff was not warm and welcoming at check in. There elevators are slow and my family even was stuck in an elevator with the hotel staff who provided no comfort or guidance throughout this process. To make matters even worse the staff got out of the elevator and deserted my family leaving them on the floor without guidance on how to access the floor our room was actually on. Unbelievable. Also my family had to inspect so many towels in order to fine one that was at standard for use. Breakfast option never changes. Same Ole same Ole menu. As a hyatt member this property doesn't meet my expectations of at hyatt brand property.

We ran into a small, canine sanitation issue with our room upon check-in, but the staff and management were incredibly quick, friendly, and accommodating, despite the hotel being packed! The rooftop pool is awesome; it has a hot tub nearby and a great little wading area where kids can safely splash around while enjoying awesome views of the city. Between the convenient location, tasty breakfast buffet, and professional team, we’ll definitely be back!

Breakfast comes with the room. Evening restaurant on property has very good food and a bar. Room has small fridge & microwave. Bed very comfortable. Walk in shower. Walking distance to Medicaal Center.

It would also be nice to have an outdoor shower near the pool to rinse off before heading back inside. The pool water was a little cloudy during our stay, but it was still enjoyable. The food was decent, though a bit overpriced, but that’s fairly typical for the convenience of dining on-site. Breakfast exceeded our expectations and was one of the highlights of our stay. Overall, we had a great visit and would definitely stay here again if we’re in the area.

We had a great stay at Hyatt House!! The day desk staff was over the top nice and helpful, the only desk person I met at night, a man, I do not know his name went out of his way to NOT be helpful. The breakfast was great. We had a studio and it was comfortable, except for the cooling system which released a wind storm onto the bed and couch every time it turned on. This was a big deal as it was very uncomfortable. The maintenance staff was great and came up and messed with it and was able to somewhat redirect the air but not enough to be comfortable. Like many guests we had a lengthy stay so we finally moved to a room with a different configuration because we just couldn’t stand the wind. This is no reflection on the staff they were helpful though we thought it was funny that they denied ever hearing of this problem before! We were able to figure out the one type of room to move that did not have this problem by questioning the maintenance man. Everything was clean and housekeeping worked very hard to be accommodating. Free laundry was much appreciated. The pool area was great, and was kept clean and had lots of comfortable seating. I used and appreciated the workout room, also kept clean and well maintained. The main areas were comfortable and welcoming except the music was to loud, but that is just me. We stayed here for almost a month and highly recommend.

We had to detour to this hotel after our original booking at another brand had water issues. Best decision we ever made rooftop pool and hot tub was spectacular. The staff were exceptional from the restaurant to the front desk to the cleaners. Everybody was amazing highly recommend very, very close to NRG Stadium, and easy to get to downtown via car or subway

Clean and decent breakfast included. Room was not cleaned one of the two days. Hotel not close to any amenities, with exception of a gas station across the street. Closest Metro station is Smiths Land and is a 850m walk from hotel.

I am deducting one star for a parking pass that did not work at the gate repeatedly and elevators who did not seem to work one of the evenings.

The property was very nice and convenient. The front desk girls were extreme helpful and nice and patient and the cleaning staff was very friendly as well.

The AC wasn’t working properly

It was very difficult for us after driving 6 hours we stayed in level where the dogs at we didn’t sleep with so many barking

We were in Houston for medical reasons. The front desk staff was exceptional. The bar tender and kitchen were fun and accomadating. The room was spacious and clean. We were unable to partake of the breakfast due to my early appointment time but the coffee was delicious. We will stay here again.

Very clean, very well kept. But didn’t like the smushy pillows. It’s a shame to have to pay parking when I paid almost $400 for the room. But overall very nice.

This hotel was sooo great. Thank you do much. We went to the restraunt last night. It was so relaxing. The young lady is so sweet. The pool is so nice too.

The only thing lacking was discretion of the front desk staff. We overheard way too much of a conversation between the desk associate and a guest than we should have. If I had been that guest I would’ve been humiliated. Other than that it was a 10/10 stay.

The hotel was beautiful. The room was very clean. Only problem was that the breakfast sucked! The food was bland and there wasn’t many options. Other than that I would recommend this hotel to anyone! It’s BEAUTIFUL!

Good breakfast

Breakfast was fresh. They were already breaking it down and stopped coffee by 9:40 when it shows to be served til 10am. Check in guy was nice when he got to us, but we were not a priority and had to wait because the other worker didn’t want to stop to check us in. Nothing that was a big deal. Just irritating when it’s late & you’re ready to get settled.

My room was so comfortable and all the staff from the front desk to the breakfast bar staff were friendly and helpful. I chose this hotel for its location by the medical center. It was about a mile away and they offer a shuttle service.

I truly enjoyed my stay at Hyatt House Houston Medical Center. I asked Brandon at the front desk if I could check in early but no rooms were ready yet but he said he'd see what he could do. 20 minures later, Brandon found me eating breakfast and handed me my room keys! Brandon noticed my Nursing scrubs and knew I just got off my nightshift and was tired. Thank you Brandon!! A++++++

Beautiful place

The hotel was really nice. The bed and pillows were extremely comfortable and soft. The city view was pleasurable. The room came equipped with cooking essentials. I loved that the TV did a 360, so you can turn it around to watch it while in the bed or turn it around to watch if you are sitting on the couch. I will definitely stay again.
