The A/C didn’t work well, the bar was not operable or open, they did not have a shuttle to the stadium, and the bed was so uncomfortable. The breakfast was not very good. They only had omelettes with cheese, there was not very much else I could eat. Not knowing what else had dairy, it was sad since I cannot have dairy. And I drank the tiny cup or black coffee because they only had creamer with dairy in it, even though the coffee mate says dairy free, it is not. I will definitely choose a different location for our stay next time.

Old furniture with plenty of stain that have been there for months if not years. Moderately clean room. Plenty of missed spots

The king size bed was clean and super comfortable. The walk in shower was large and roomy. The ac unit was moldy making the whole room smell moldy. There was no body soap in the container in the shower. Phones took all night to charge and only charged to about 80% by morning. No lamps by the bedside. Breakfast was free, but no waffle maker. There were premade pancakes and french toast. Hotel was quiet and peaceful.

We stayed here a week before and really enjoyed the quirky atmosphere. However, this time we had 2 rooms and problems with both. TVs did not work in either. On one, all you got was a Mexican Religious channel, and on the other, only "This channel has not been paid for" was available on ALL channels. There were no table lamps in either room, and there was a shortage of towels in one room. The staff was very sympathetic to our problems, but they did not have any help after hours. We were told that furniture was being removed from the room in anticipation of a change of ownership. Let's hope that helps; it is a unique property.

Clean room, pretty quiet

Average breakfast, housekeeping request only. Close to many restaurants and Target. Ten minutes drive to Rice University.

Great location! Was close to Reliant Stadium, short little walk. Bunch of food choices in the area. Room was clean and cozy and quiet. It was a good choice from all the other ones I was looking at, I would go back. Breakfast was decent, bunch of choices. Thanks for the hospitality.

My room had no lamps. It was nothing like what was pictured.

The hotel was clean and very close to a lot of stores and restaurants, by using public transportation. Hotel decor and environment was very family friendly. Staff was very nice, the process of requesting house keeping was interesting but eventually worked.

The room was clean and the bed was comfy. AC worked great too. The staff were friendly and helpful. The furniture is a little old but still useful . Breakfast had several choices and was pretty good. Also the price is good. So overall I would recommend this hotel and will definitely stay here again

Nice comfort beds. Close to medical center and walking distance to restaurants. This is our go to place when having to travel to the medical center. Staff is always friendly

They need to deep clean the rooms

The hotel is a gem with rooms that have a retro feeling, but all works well and is highly functional. Staff is very nice and they have an Uber shuttle to the TMC during the day. Breakfast was simple but fully enjoyable. A stay that makes you smile. And they have free parking on the property.

Staff was great; free uber to and from hospital the breakfast offered much fewer options than in the past; they scaled back the quality and quantity of breakfast items vastly. also they changed the nice espresso makers in the room to cheap coffee makers that are all cheap plastic and make nasty coffee.

Stayed here during Dreamcon. Great staff and spacious room. Breakfast was basic. Bar from 4-10pm. Ice machine on 1st and 3rd floor but 1st floor machine out of service. My headboard was broke. Plenty of restaurants and a Target nearby. Close to downtown but far away enough to not be bothered with the hustle and bustle. Great lobby asethetics. The minor inconveniences did not take away from my stay. Will be back next year.

The room is always comfortable. The front desk is always AMAZING. We love those ladies. The breakfast was great. We love the options. The Uber system for MDAnderson patients is a blessing. Thank you The bar tender was very rude. At times she was obnoxious. Made the sitting area a little hostile.

Breakfast had very little

The hotel was delightful, decorated in Vintage or Retro probably 50s or 60s. Very creative decor and handmade jackets for sale - definitely one of a kind. The breakfast was very good. I was assigned a room that was designated 'Handicap Accessible". It was not. There were no bars to assist with the toilet, the shower had no grip bars and a narrow entrance door. There was no emergency call button to summon help when I needed it. This room should never be considered 'Handicap Accessible". I had them call the EMS to get me out of the shower.

The property is clean and quiet, rooms are clean and well maintained

Only had 1 big towel & when asked for more, was given 2 small towels. No wash cloths. Soap fell off the wall. Water pressure was lacking. Headboard was not attached to bed. Lamp broken. Guests were loud at many hours of the night. Room was not cleaned during the day/dirty towels taken. Limited breakfast & not enough for guests who weee interested.

Mid-priced, boutique hotel, convenient to the Medical Center. Staff attentive if asked.

I have stayed here many many times for work purposes and have never had any issues. Property is very clean and many options for food choices in the area. When I checked in on Monday afternoon the lady at the desk was very rude and had a horrible attitude. Morning staff Tuesday morning was very nice and polite. I didn’t get a chance to get her name on Monday but this was the worst experience I’ve ever had

The staff made me feel welcome right at the beginning!!! So cordial! So helpful!!! I didn't have any washcloths in my bathroom & I was too tired to call for one. I had a long day & just wanted to go to bed. Plus all of the lights were connected to one switch instead of individual; lamps, overhead. There could be another lamp on the other lampstand.

This hotel is relaxing. The location is good and the staff is friendly. They have free breakfast and rides to the hospital. There is free parking and eatery around. It's a great place to relax and prepare for surgery or after. None that i can recall.

Cute hotel at a great price. The staff was all very friendly. The lady at the front desk was there both nights and was extremely helpful with recommendations and information. Se made sure to speak to my 4 year old as well asking what he did that day and making.sure he was having fun. Rooms are basic but had everything we needed and were clean. Bed was comfortable and ac worked well. Looked like they were renovated recently. Just normal wear and tear. Breakfast had eggs, sausage, biscuits and gravy, waffles, pastries, fruit, cereal, yogurt, and bagels. Location was good. Near the zoo and museum district and about 25 minutes to the downtown aquarium. Felt safe staying here. Would recommend staying here.

Okay for a quick trip, we stayed for two nights on the third floor. It was nice to have a fridge and microwave in the room. The bathroom is remodeled, but there was no toilet seat cover. I also felt the room needed a deep clean. Overall it was a super convenient location and the staff was friendly.

The room had a moldy smell, it was a very late checkin so I did not bother complaining. It was close to NRG stadium and had a free shuttle to the stadium. Breakfast options and staff were good.

A cute little hotel with style and friendly staff. Board game collection is a nice touch. Breakfast was simpler than expected but the hot biscuits were delicious and classic Texas. Staff were awesome and our room was very spacious which was lovely.

This is a nice little hotel within 15 minutes of NRG stadium. We enjoyed the comfy bed and the cable TV out of the Houston heat. A few blips were: no bartender at the bar, no room turn unless requested (we were not advised, not a big deal, we just asked for extra towels, and we were charged ten dollars for a replacement key card.

I've always wondered why it takes so long to check in to a hotel when they have all my info already. They do it right.

Initially our first room had a musty mouldy smell. Probably from the carpet. I told the front desk lady about it and she said there weren’t any other rooms available due to the World Cup. Also someone had removed the cable box from the TV and the maintenance man found another one. We checked in at 315 and had to wait until 430 pm for our room to be ready. Finally bathroom had some hair in the shower room. I told the front desk lady about how disappointed I was about condition of the room and asked for a discount. She was not happy and simply said in a hostile manner please review your belongings from the room and bring them to the front. I asked her why would we do that? She tersely replied I am trying to find another room for u. I said that’s great but why would we remove our stuff if u haven’t found a room for us? She didn’t acknowledge that but repeated remove your belongings. I thought we were being kicked out of the hotel but when I returned to the front desk she gave me door pass to a new room. Good news it didn’t smell like a burlap bag and the tv worked. Going forward please ensure your rooms are properly clean and everything is in good working order

The location, as it's at a walking distance to the stadium. The check-in experience, staff was unwelcoming. The cockroach in the bathroom. The noisy and dirty AC, air seemed to come out unhealthy. The overall state of cleanliness.

Later, when we tried to use the fitness center, our key cards still wouldn’t work. After making two more trips to the front desk to have them reprogrammed, we were finally told that the fitness center had been relocated to the other side of the building. Apparently, they had not yet updated the signage, so the room marked as the conference room is actually the fitness center. The room itself was also not properly prepared. The bathroom contained an unwrapped bar of hand soap, only one set of towels, and the body wash dispenser in the shower was empty. Since we were staying for two nights, on our second day, we requested housekeeping before leaving for the day. Unfortunately, when we returned that evening, our room had not been serviced at all. Overall, our stay was very disappointing, and we expected much better service and attention ti detail.

Location is the best part…we booked this place bc it was close to the NRG stadium and offered shuttle services. Staff members were nice enough. Our room smelled like mildew. It wasn’t clean. And did not look like online images.

Close to places i need to go We had to change our room because the bed was dirty , water was so slow , tv wasn’t working , charging plugs wasn’t working by the bed .

The location is perfect for attending events at NRG and has shopping and restaurants in walking distance. Nothing it was perfect. Breakfast was standard.

A hotel that is well positioned for the stadium, if you are attending games or events. It is surrounded by a good selection of restaurants and two supermarkets. The room was clean and the staff helpful and friendly. The complimentary breakfast was basic but adequate. The room furnishings were unusual, but fitted the atmosphere of the hotel. The room also had a fridge and a microwave.

I have to say that our first room, room 223, smelled very moldy and we had to change after the first night because we felt sick the next morning. I suggest calling ahead of your stay to confirm your reservation and let them know that you will not accept room 223. The management needs to have it tested for mold and remediated if mold is found.

Breakfast options were very limited. TV in our room didnt work. We did get changed to a different room. If you have allergies, I dont recommend staying there, throat itched and my children got the sniffles by the next morning. My stay was only for one night. I am happy it wasn't longer.

Very limited breakfast. And at 9:15 there were no eggs. We asked for it, and the y just said, we don't have anymore. Bed very good.

My room was clean but the bed had stains on the sheets and the pillows were old and dirty. I didn’t feel comfortable sleeping in the bed at all. The room also has a moldy smell to it as well.

Warning! "Fully Refundable" is NOT fully refundable. On the reservation page it does state, if you search, that cancellations must be done two days prior to the first night. If cancellations are made after 4:00 pm of that date you will be charged for the first night plus taxes and fees. Ok, sounds reasonable. AFTER booking, you find out that the "fees" are 100% of the whole booking. This is contrary to Hotels.com Terms and Conditions which states that the buyer will be told all the conditions before booking. No, we are not! I will be reporting to Consumer Affairs. Very disappointing to be scammed.

This was my husband's and my second time staying at the Yelm. It is always clean inside and out. The breakfast is great. They actually have a hot breakfast. My only suggestion would be to add a waffle option. However, the biscuits are absolutely delicious. It is such a convenient location. We are foodies. So, having several food options around was a huge bonus.

Do not book this hotel. The front desk lady was completely unprofessional and dismissive. The room smelled heavily of mold and we found mouse droppings. This property is poorly managed, filthy, and definitely not worth your money.

The ladies working at the front desk were very nice. I was just a little disappointed that housekeeping did not pay a single visit to my room. Stayed with my daughter for 2 nights and were given 2 towels on night one. I put those towels and the trash we has accumulated by the door to help out housekeeping. It remained there my entire stay. So day 2 for a shower, I didn't realize they didn't restock, and froze walking to my old, wet towel on the floor after a shower. I loved the cute and quirky charm of the place. It was quiet and I had no trouble with check-in or check-out. I would definitely stay here again. The price was so good. The breakfast was DELICIOUS. Hated saying anything negative because I loved my stay, minus the lack of housekeeping. Will stay again!!

Easy access to MD Anderson. They also provide free uber for patients and their families to and from their bldg to MD Anderson. Convienent...next to shops. Clean, simple, comfortable. I made use of laundry, gym, ice machine, and breakfasts. Nothing is fancy, but it is very affordable, clean, simple, well-lit and we felt safe. Great customer service & has its own unique look. We enjoyed our stay here. Thank you
