Great property! Close to everything!

I loved the bath area the most. The room wasn’t very spacious

What I liked about the property was it was very clean. The staff was very nice. The valet parking was nice. The gentleman were very nice. The location was very convenient. What I disliked about this place was the little refrigerator in our room did not work. So our drinks were hot the whole time. The hotel was a little back dated and old but still was nice. We had a city view room which costed us extra but the view wasn’t so great. I couldn’t take good pictures looking out the window due to the window being really dirty. They need to clean the inside and outside of the windows.

Beautiful hotel and rooms! Staff were helpful and kind! The only thing was the jetted tub didn’t work and that was the entire reason I booked there and it was a one night stay (11 yr. anniversary) We let them know and stayed another night, they moved up to a room with working jetted tub and compensated us with strawberries and champagne.

Very big cockroach in the room, no bathtub which was advertised on the room we reserved. There was no food available for those with celiac, and even the food that was edible for celiacs was served on top of bread. The bacon and sausage.

Also valet parking is super expensive at $58.00 a night. We will stay there again because it’s a beautiful hotel and convenient to get around. I wish they wouldn’t nickel and dime us to death.

My wife and I love this hotel! It's so unique and the atmosphere is amazing. It's also perfectly situated smack-dab in the middle of Houston. The breakfast buffet is really good and a great deal for the cost. The wait staff are very helpful as well.

Nice hotel historic with a bar and full dinner and breakfast service

Had a stay booked after midnight. Front desk said they wouldn't accept my reservation. So I paid them directly to stay the night. Was not resolved so I paid for 2 nights to stay just one night at the property. No attempt was made by front desk to assist.

That the entire staff were all very attentive to mine and my wife's needs. The only complaint if anything at all was our bathtub shower handle didn't work.

I liked this hotel. The shower was pretty awesome. It had two shower heads but no bathtub faucet. The room was large and wide for two people. the only thing that was annoying is the air conditioner always sounded like someone was opening my door when it started up but there is no way in summer months to stop the air conditioner in Texas it’s so hot! also it was pointed away from the bed so it was nice that it wasn’t blasting while we were sleeping. The location was central to places I wanted to go in downtown and river oaks area. I would totally stay there again!

This hotel was super cool. Love that Marriott maintained the historical feel of the property. A little disappointed with the restaurant. There are a lot of really cool food choices in the area and it would be nice if this was one of them. The breakfast that you have to pay for is the equivalent of a holiday inn or another “free” breakfast property. The bar drinks are awesome though, and totally separate from the restaurant. For as expensive as this property is, I expected more from the restaurant. And the parking is crazy expensive. But overall would definitely stay again.

This hotel is beautifully decorated and clean, with a cool history being in an old bank building. The bar in the lobby, the extensive breakfast buffet, and the fitness center are all fantastic. The room was comfortable and very clean.

The room was clean, and the staff, professional and accommodating as usual. I’ve never had a bad experience at this hotel. They are very consistent. The rooms are beautiful, and we even got an upgrade to a penthouse floor suite. Gorgeous views!

Beautiful hotel. The employees offered exceptional service. The shuttle service was definitely a perk. Everyone was extremely courteous and polite from the frint desk to valet. The pictures of the rooms were very accurate. Room was clean. The stay at this hotel was more than i expected in many ways. We came to relax for the weekend. We will be back. Highly recommended.

This historic hotel was conveniently located in the heart of downtown Houston. We liked the decor of the rooms and lobby areas. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Valet was attentive and had our vehicle ready in minutes.

It was amazing! I even got to see the old safe from when it was a bank in the lobby! Our room was quiet and comfortable and the staff was friendly and helpful. Also the free the shuttle service was a life saver. I would stay here again:)

Super nice, rooms were very clean with some pretty cool views of downtown. The only thing I didn’t like was that parking cost an extra $50 to valet, they don’t have a free self parking option

Was pleasantly surprised by this hotel. Has everything we wanted. My wife got her jacuzzi tub. Great food and drinks. Fast room service. Will for sure be our go to anytime we travel to Houston

The hotel is unique, upscale, and the amenities are fabulous! they offer a complimentary shuttle anywhere around downtown. They took us to Daikin park for a Astros game. Wonderful customer service at the front desk as well! I will be back for sure!

The bed was super hard, I would’ve been more comfortable sleeping on the floor, the sheets thin as hell which was a good thing because the A/C in the room didn’t work. It was on 38° and it still felt like it was 80° in the room. The pillows were thin as well. Super noisy and they only gave 1 set of towels.

Nice hotel.. but needs updating and fixing little items... sink drain not working..nlow dryer in terrible shape... lights with dead bugs.. musty smell in room

From the outside you can not tell it is a hotel, it is a historic bank building. It has great history and they have done an amazing job keeping both old and new touches.

The room was great, the staff was kind, and overall I had a great stay for a work trip. I was here for 4 nights and I never had any problems. Downtown was under construction and there was some loud sounds coming from the equipment, I don't put that on the responsibility of the hotel, but just something to keep in mind if you stay.
