The pool water always had stuff floating in it and we had roaches in our room.
- 2/5
Hotel phone did not work, so it was impossible to call for the shuttle. We wound up having not take rideshares from the airport. If you are expecting to make use of the shuttle, think otherwise.

Front desk staff was not helpfull at all, the manager was lying for the front desk staff, no bottled water available in the hotel. When we asked for hand soap they said housekeeping left for the day and its not available, I asked do I have to go buy my own soap and they responded that would be preferred. Then I asked to talk to the manager thats when they said you can come get the soap from the front desk, and at the front desk the so called manager denied that the staff said to go buy our own soap, completly lying to my face. No iron the room, had to go get it from the front desk. Had to stay because they refused to give our money back. Breakfast was terrible the toaster was not working had to hold it down. Don't waste your money here. Very disappointed!

Cons: The hotel advertised shuttle to/from airport, pool, hot tub, and breakfast. When we arrived at the airport, we called multiple times for pickup and the phone line wasn't working. We had to take an Uber to the hotel. We were requesting a credit, but we needed a late checkout so that balanced out. Upon trying to go the pool, it was dirty with bugs, leaves, and debris. We had to ask several times for it to be cleaned to be usable. The hot tub jets were not working, so there was no bubbles. I understand that keeping an outside pool clean is difficult, but it can be better managed by the staff.
- 5/5
Well maintained, the hotel was excellent for the stay we had, only issue we had was the pool was out of order, maintenance came and cleaned the pool, but guest weren't allowed in for a week after the clean, my kids wanted to swim while we were there, but no luck

Good service
- 1/5
The water was very hot, the air conditioner worked very well, and washer and dryer was available on my floor It first started when I called the hotel to let them know that I was checking in very late around 4am due to a family emergency and that I was not getting on the highway until after 11pm the front desk clerk let me know that if I was not there by 3am I would not be able to check in due to the night audit closes at 3am. I had never heard of such especially if my reservation was from Friday to Sunday. She put me on hold to call her manager. After being on hold for 10 to 15 minutes she came back on the line to let me know that I can check in when I arrive I would just have to cancel my reservation and make a new reservation with the new time of check in due to me not paying in full or partial paid on the website and that I also did it through a third party. I was not happy with the situation but I took it due to not having anywhere to stay when I arrived. When I checked in and went to the room it was not the correct room, and the gentlemen at the front desk told me that that was the room that Booking.com had sent them but I had to stay I that room for the night and they could give me a different room the next day. I had to leave the hotel and drive 30 minutes away to a Airbnb that my daughter and her other team mate on the basketball team were staying at just so that they could get a good night sleep before the tournament. When I arrived back at the hotel my friend and I hurried up and took a shower and went to bed. The next morning my friend went to the main hotel in the next building to ask for more towels for our room (Mind you we only had 1 large towel and 2 small towels in the room when we checked in that night). The young lady at the desk was rude and told my friend that she had to ask housekeeping for more towels(how do we know who the house keeping staff were). After 10 minutes of waiting for towels we were able to take a shower and head over to the gym. I stay at Holiday INN a lot due to my daughter playing AAU Travel Ball and never had this issue.
- 4/5
Smell of the room was not how I experienced it before. Bathtub was not clean, staff did not answer my room calls, upon checking in staff provided me with wrong information regarding my booking payment.
- 3/5
Far away from airport old building didn’t feel safe in the area
- 1/5
There was only one thing to like about the property, young lady at the front desk although she seemed far removed and really unbothered. She was respectful and professional. The front lobby is clean but it still has a smell. My room didn't have soap the air conditioner didn't work the couch was horrific the pool was Green and dirty. They shouldn't advertise a pool if it's not usable. I was up all night with the air conditioner sound like a truck engine but did not work at all. She compensated me with 2,000 points to my ihd account, but said that she was unable to do anything else. The owners are managing many properties so they can't help. They're not managing this one that's for doing sure. I don't know why hotels would operate this way.

We had 3 people staying in the room. Only got 2 towels and the toilet paper was only half full. No extra's in the room. We had to use tissues.

Passable
- 5/5
The property was close to restaurants and included a fresh breakfast.
- 1/5
Breakfast was great, the staff was amazing, the property was not well kept, beautification definitely needed.
- 2/5
The only positive thing I can say about this place is the staffs, very nice and helpful. Everything else terrible. The place doesn’t look as the picture. My room was not cleaned for days, I had to ask the front desk then they texted a staff to come to my room. I just had to ask for fresh towels and toilet paper myself. The toilet makes very very loud noise when flush. The shower makes loud noises when turned on. The light was flashing but the staffs addressed it right a way when I told them. I’ve never encountered anything like this. The next day the cleaning staffs came around 9 AM, why so early? Don’t they have the policy to check out at 11, that’s when they start cleaning? I told the lady I’ll be out of the room in an hour and she said she came back but never return, again, my room was not cleaned, no fresh supply. I think Holiday Inn is old now, not like the old days, not running well. I will not book with Holiday Inn again.
- 5/5
Breakfast wasn’t that great. Parking was awesome. Gated parking. Rooms were clean and beds comfortable.
- 3/5
They have a second building that's not connected and you'll have to walk to the main building for the exercise room, breakfast or and other amenities it was a little inconvenient considering that it rained every day
- 5/5
Every thing was great. Free parking was wonderful.
- 4/5
Breakfast was very good many options. Parking easy
- 5/5
At first, the room was well prepared but a day after, two days after, there were no clear towels and the room was not cleaned either. Breakfast area was great. The front clerk was great and the parking was great and the property was clean.
- 5/5
It had a waterline break in the hotel when I was there. The lobby was flooded. The next day it was fixed. Looked like nothing happened. Staff was slow to bring towels.
- 3/5
needed shuttle, which was hard to schedule , no amenities
- 2/5
The staff were kind and seemed to be doing the best they could with what they had. The property was in bad shape. Even with some renovations, it seemed like a bandaid over a broken bone.
- 1/5
Nasty roach invested
- 4/5
They were renovating the 4th floor
- 5/5
Todo buenísimo!! Hotel , Staff transporte al aeropuerto.. excelente!!
- 3/5
The staff was very friendly. The breakfast was good. Unfortunately the hot tub was cold and wasn't working properly
- 1/5
Very old and dated. Rooms were musty and had a weird smell. My kids didn’t want to use the bathroom because it was dirty.
- 4/5
Very good
- 5/5
Stayed in the second building they have due to remodeling but rooms clean and nice. Staff was friendly and very helpful.
- 2/5
Although there was a pick up sevi
- 3/5
But the employees were wonderful
- 5/5
The property was nice and the staff were friendly.
- 4/5
We were early, just off cruise, they locked our bags up in the office, which allowed us to do other activities.
- 5/5
Quite happy!
- 4/5
Parking was behind iron gates and seemed secure. The room is very close to highway noise all night long. Renovations going on in rooms but lobby looks new. The free breakfast was the best one we have seen in any hotel
- 4/5
Nice place to stay
- 4/5
The lobby did not have any change to utilize the laundry??
- 1/5
This place was partially renovated, the bathrooms were original and painted over. The shower head was 5 ft high. The pool is not heated. They did vacuum the halways, though the carpet was so gross it probably wouldnt have helped. The AC unit sounded like a jet engine both us and my partents had to sleep with out it on as it was too loud. Breakfast they ran out of coffee, and other items. The staff were indifferent to any of our issues. I would highly recommend finding another hotel.

Great breakfast

- 5/5
We called the hotel as soon as we landed approx. 5:30 am and they told us where to wait and the airport shuttle came promptly. We were early so we knew we had to either wait or let them keep the bags until later. We were very fortunate and managed to get into the room a bit earlier-thanks to the receptionist. The breakfast was welcome and enough- sausage, eggs(varied each day) , potatoes, bread, pancakes, bagel, muffins etc everything wrapped since it is a self serve. There was also the cereal, oats etc, fruit, yogurt and drinks-juices, tea, coffee. Rooms were clean and tidy-it's only the corridor that seemed untidy as if no one ever used a vacuum there. But I know they were doing some work there so maybe that was the cause. There is a small pool - didn't use it but it seemed ok. There was some small work being done there as well. I would definitely stay there again since the price and amenities were good. There were lots of eating places nearby (within walking distance and on the same side) Cracker Barrel, Jack in a box, Whataburger. On the other side of the road a grocery, Popeyes and other eating places.
- 4/5
Stayed here one night after a cruise. We did not use the wifi, pool, fitness centre or shuttle, but did not hear any complaints from other visitors. The hotel is older but has had some cosmetic updates with some still in progress. The beds were comfy, the shower pressure adequate, the free breakfast has a decent selection of food and beverages (real protein!) and the staff were all great and friendly. The secure self-parking is a nice feature too. Hotel is also quite convenient to IAH airport.

Very clean great staff and good breakfast
- 3/5
room was not clean, couch in terrible condition
- 5/5
Room was nice and shuttle van was good
- 2/5
After breakfast, we told front desk that we will be leaving in 20 minutes. They told us to stop by to check out when we would leave. This resulted in carrying luggage back and forth on the 1st floor. On a positive side, the breakfast was excellent.
- 5/5
Room was nice and clean. A little dated but not bad really. Staff & breakfast were both good.
- 3/5
Older hotel in need of updates however appeared to be clean and comfortable
- 2/5
It's in a pretty tough area of town. The rooms were ok but the hallways and area were a mess because of construction
- 2/5
Breakfast was decent but out of most things unless you’re there earlier than 7. Should’ve stayed st la Quinta again instead. Not worth the money I paid. People fighting in the hallways. Felt like a crack house
- 3/5
The hotel is very rundown, but is in the midst of renovation and should be nice when done.
- 5/5
The gym could use more machines but was decent overall
- 3/5
The property was clean and offered a great breakfast and shuttle service to and from IAH.
- 2/5
The property was torn apart for some sort of restoration but that left us walking around a construction zone. The room itself wasn’t very clean either and the pull out bed looks like it’s been peed on for the last 8 years.
- 5/5
Nice room and decent breakfast.
- 4/5
place was great! breakfast was amazing! friendly staff.
- 1/5
The property was under construction. The housekeeping was not cleaning up after the construction crew. Whitney the night receptionist did not notify us that the elevator from the second floor to the third floor that was operating. However, when we got to the elevator, it had a sign that said use the elevator to the second floor and then walk to the third floor. We are handicapped. When we went to ask the receptionist about it she said oh you can use the elevator. Ignore the sign. So because she was too lazy to remove the sign she was making people walk from the second floor up the stairs to the third floor.
- 1/5
I couldnt believe Holiday InnExpress would allow its brand on a property this bad. Heck, I doubt even Motel 6 would brand this place. I expect a sign outside that offers hourly rates!
- 3/5
also the night we check in the y give our room to someone else the man was trying to open the room because they give him the wrong room #
- 5/5
Room was clean. The shuttle to airport was convenient.
- 5/5
My one complaint is that I waited almost 3 hours for the shuttle from the airport after calling several times.
- 5/5
Rooms are very clean, the staff was very nice and friendly. The pool is very nice but that hot tub was not working and the gym is very nice. Overall this is a great hotel
- 4/5
We really just came to sleep for a few hours after our late flight. Breakfast was acceptable, airport shuttle was great, room was decent.
- 3/5
Breakfast area was large and well-lit, overlooking the outdoor pool. Too bad the pool and hot tub were closed. Renovations made some things lacking. Like no closet rods to hang clothes in the room. Parking was difficult on Saturday night.
- 3/5
Hot Tub was not working and the pool was not heated as described would have booked elsewhere if this was known
- 5/5
Good
- 1/5
Hotel under construction, smell of weed, dirty, ev charger not working, water leak on shower, mattress with a hole on it.
- 5/5
It was good for a night stay.
- 2/5
Room had been remodeled but was very well worn. Hotel is not in a great part of town for families.
- 3/5
The only downside to the hotel was that the shower was dripping and we had some mosquitoes in the room. Other that that was a comfortable stay, the hotel is near I 45 so it’s quite easy to drive around. We did around 50 minutes to the space center and most of the other places we visited. 20 min from airport .
- 4/5
Breakfast was excellent, lots of choices. The staff was friendly and very helpful.
- 1/5
It looks like they took 2 run down motels and slapped a Holiday Inn Express sign on it. Yes, 2 buildings for the same hotel. It was terrible.
- 3/5
Pleasant
- 3/5
The hotel said it was doing renovations but i couldn’t tell. When booking, kids should not be put in an adjacent room near someone else. They were screaming and crying like an adult was harming them for hours. I had to keep calling the front desk. The shuttle was good but maybe they should clean them up as well.
- 2/5
I booked my stay from the 5th to 9th at one Holliday Inn Express Location in Houston. Upon arrival, I approached the front desk to pay for my hotel stay in advance, I was then advised by the hotel manger by the name of Vanessa who assisted with my checkin and gave me their statment upon payment, to which made no sence after calculations showed I was charged an additional 140.00 charge which made my total amount stay 618.00 for a 3 star quality hotel (google is not telling the truth) when as the Manager Vanessa why is there an upcharge of additional 140.00 for a reservation I booked a month in advance? (feb 5th) Mangers reply was [you will need to contact your third party vender] so Called Expedia Sarphak on 03/05 regarding over payment of booked hotel stay at Holliday inn express $494.65 when my balance ŵas as is in my statment 478.00 - 97.00 deposit should've been 381.00 estimate. After explaning this with Sarphak thru Expedia was advised there sending this case for review and please allow 72hrs never recieved a response. I this kind of service is unacceptable for your company. As well this is the irresponsible marketing and it should not be accepted to any person who wants to book within your company. Having hidden fees? I thought that if you book online and you put a deposit down on for it, then the price is locked, PERIOD!!! This honestly, is unacceptable her Expedia as well as Holiday Inn and I will never book with either parties again.

The breakfast and location were definitely acceptable. The room did not look like the one pictured online. The bed was lumpy and the bathroom tile and tub were chipped.

Room was filthy with huge dust bunnies, hair and popcorn on the floor. Had hair in the bed. Bathroom was gross with hair on floor and tub. The darkening shades had numerous holes in them. Did move us to new room next day and room was not as filthy but we did have to clean toilet seat ourselves with hand sanitizer as something was all over it and also had to wipe down end tables. The shower also would not stop leaking.

Staff was helpful but the condition

Rooms was clean and comfortable. Airport shuttle was prompt and so helpful. Fitness center floor needs a decent cleaning.

This place is more then a little worn out, needs some work!
- 4/5
Very good
- 1/5
Bathroom toilet set needed to replace. Air conditioner was loud hard to sleep. Floors on the 4th floor were just add so you couldn’t take the elevator to that floor. Walls unfinished. The was being remodeled and I should have never been assigned. Housekeeping only added new towels for my five nights
- 2/5
The property was not very clean, hallways and elevator. We’re terrible with cleanliness no amenities in the room besides coffee my particular room had no place to hang up clothes. The girls on the front desk were very friendly and courteous in the morning. The breakfast bar was not taken care of the way. It’s usually done at other Holiday Inn express we had to wait over 20 minutes to get fresh food after everything had been eaten.
- 3/5
I was informed there was no Airport Shuttle so had to use ride share to get to the hotel. There is rust etcetera on the bathroom fixtures - and some really annoying (HVAC) sound that runs for about 5-10 minutes and then shuts off - and then runs again right around the time you just fall back to sleep - Staff was fabulous though
- 3.5/5
The roaches!
- 1/5
Bed comfy, breakfast OK We chose this hotel due to advertising a free 24-hour airport shuttle. Arriving at IAH at 1:30pm I called the hotel and was told the shuttle was not operating in the afternoon. I guess it's not 24 hours in a row. They said the shuttle would be back in operation at 4:00pm and would arrive at the airport at 4:25pm. After checking with a taxi service with a $85 quote, we decided to wait for the shuttle. When it had not arrived at 4:30pm I called the hotel again. Now the story is that the van is in the shop and they won't get it back until 6:00pm. They said they had called my cell number, we verified they had it right, but they kept getting hung up on. Then they suggested I take a cab and they would discount my room, not reimburse for transportation, but discount the room. I called my stepson who drove down from Conroe and drove us to the hotel. We received a $9 discount for our troubles. Last time ever we use an IHG property.
- 3.5/5
The breakfast was great!! The roaches!
- 3/5
Friendly staff easy check in
- 4/5
The room was spacious, comfortable and clean. The staff was courteous and friendly. Airport shuttle was comfortable.
- 2/5
Too many things to list but some for examples. Was told 20 minutes for airport shuttle and it took 55. Hotel would not answer phone when I tried calling to check. Shuttle driver was having a bad day because his car was broken into at the hotel that morning. Elevator out and we are on 4th floor. Ask for housekeeping and was told just to make sure tag was not on door. No one showed up then I was told I had to request it. Which I did at desk when I was told I didn’t need to request it! Hotel room door not locked when I first got to room. Key cards did not work not once but twice! Hotel is under construction and looks horrible. On the positive side bed was comfortable and they have a good breakfast. Staff was nice and understanding about all their shortcomings.
- 3/5
Staff was nice, and breakfast was good. The hotel is kinda hit up, honestly - they're in the middle of renovations that don't seem to be going that great. Our room was clean - no bugs, no hair, etc., but it had a bit of a "stank" to it... like old people smell?? Idk. Decent place to crash before our cruise. 3/5 stars - Whataburger LITERALLY right next door though so that definitely helped.
- 5/5
Two Buildings are little confused and constelaciones going on but not bad.
- 3/5
Asked for a room with minimal walking. Bad knee. Was given the room furthest from the elevator in the adjoining building on the 2nd floor. 👎😕
- 5/5
Yes all the staff there were friendly and above helpful
- 1/5
1st & 2nd night kids running & yelling down the halls as if it was a park rather then a place people tried to rest/relax. The smell on the 3rd floor once exiting the elevator was terrible that even the inside of our room AC unit began to produce that smell after turning the AC on for 30-min. On our final night an event was going on when we arrived back in the evening and almost did not find parking. This was frustrating as we were exhausted & cold since 2 of the 3 back door did not work with our access card, The appearance inside of the room was worn down and dark colored that was not pleasing. This site was not the best and overall I would never stay here again.
- 5/5
Staff was extremely friendly, room was clean, and bed was comfy. The airport shuttle ran constantly and the most I waited for a shuttle was less than 5 minutes. I will stay again, the next time I am in Houston.
- 4/5
Nice for the price big rooms comfy beds & clean. Great breakfast. Not a lot to do in the general area. So quite a bit of Ubering around Houston. That said still worthwhile for the price point.
- 5/5
Nice place to stay, it's right in the center...most things we needed was nearby & i loved it
- 5/5
Friendly staff and close to airport
- 3/5
The room was in good conditions. It may be time to upgrade or purchase new mattresses. The bathroom shower wouldn't stop dripping. It did have all the amenities as coffee maker, refrigerator and microwave. We stayed on the 4th floor it was under construction. Surrounding area did have a few fast food places which was convenient. It was a good stay.
- 4/5
Nice, clean, close to airport
- 5/5
Good
- 5/5
The only thing that would have improved the stay would be to have access to information about restaurants, shopping etc in the area since we didn’t have a car. Google wasn’t that helpful. Maybe the people at the front desk could provide a bit more guidance and highlight what is near. I would return.
- 5/5
I felt very comfortable while staring at this location. One thing I loved was the need. It was extremely comfortable and slept better than at home. The room was also very clean and cozy.
