Location Smell
- 3/5
Location is excellent with water view... but there was this noise that sounded like a train every so often from upper floor!
- 5/5
I am sorry that this hotel has closed. It has a perfect location and stunning views from the rooms. THe breakfast was excellent.
- 3/5
This hotel is closing soon. The pool is green.
- 2/5
The room was hot all weekend. AC barely worked. The pool was unusable because it was so green. The place is completely run down.
- 3.5/5
It was close to where we needed to go and the staff was pleasant. The hotel was a little dated.. It had a smell like it was old.. seems like a nice property just needs to be renovated
- 4/5
Staff was great, rooms great, only issue was the pool was green. Had 4 grandkids and couldn’t swim.
- 2/5
The hotel is closing down within a week and they seem to be operating with a skeleton crew who are doing their best. The hotel is run down but seems like it was a nice play to stay in its hey day.
- 1/5
The stay was fine, but the room was not what we were promised.
- 3/5
Unfortunately this property is being closed in a week for renovations as it was sold. The first night the air conditioning went out and didn’t work. The staff, Amber overnight and Adam evening shift both were at the front desk, were EXTREMELY helpful and tried everything to help alíviate the issue. Didn’t help. No A/C that first night. We suffered through. The next morning we went to breakfast and the two young ladies there (Lundy and Luz) were phenomenal and took care of breakfast for us due to our miserable night. We left, went to work with assurance that engineering would get it running during the day. As we were contemplating changing hotels if they couldn’t fix it, we came back at a late lunch time just to check. The front desk staff (Matthew and some petite Latina girl) were not helpful at all. I feel like they straight out lied to me saying that they spoke to Engineering dept and all is fixed. I went up to my room which I left set at 60 degrees-it was still 90 in the room. I was heading back to the front seat and at the elevator met Mike from engineering who straight out told me that he is first starting to repair the chiller. Anyway, two nights of no A/C. Adam corrected the bill to reflect the situation. For that we are thankful to him and the care from Amber.
- 5/5
The hotel rooms could used some updating. Breakfast was just ok. Staff was responsive. Communicated via text for the most part. Chiller went out overnight but failed to notify guests. Definitely just an ok experience.
- 2.5/5
View great Filthy pool. No staff seemed to care that my sisters room smelled of urine, due to closing this month, there were no rooms to move to. I sure hope she gets some credit back for the pee smelling "penthouse"!!
- 1.5/5
Small, old room. Maids did not clean daily. Came only once on our 4 night stay. Beds uncomfortable. No floor machines for ice.
- 2.5/5
Hotel must be upgraded in it’s totality, great location and value but building is obsolete
- 3/5
Great location. Super nice staff at check in and on floors. Very pretty place. Great waitstaff in restaurant Pool was unfit to swim in…9 of us had packed swimsuits ♀️ Appeared to be AC issues through out the lobby and restaurant area. It got quite uncomfortable by the time we finished breakfast. Our room was very nice but the bathroom is so small you have to walk to the corner of this tiny room to close the door. It’s an accident waiting to happen .
- 0.5/5
The location and view of water. A/C didn’t work properly and it was stuffy, smelled like urine, pool was cloudy and dirty, $24 breakfast was terrible, and every time we voiced concern about any of this, the response was “well, we are closing down for renovations in a month.” Nobody tried to make any of this better for customers there. Very very disappointing.
- 1.5/5
I had a leak in my room. They moved me to another room which was also leaking. I stayed because it was late and I didn’t want to move again. I was still charged for using a bottle of water.
- 3/5
Not feeling good
- 3.5/5
Great view and location, nice lounge area. Staff is extremely friendly. Needed some TLC in the rooms, lots of rust, shower clogged and smelled a little musty. Plus they charge you $9 each day for parking.
- 5/5
It was a nice stay, the pool could of been cleaner.
- 2/5
The staff was nice The smell in my room! Toilet constantly made noise! A/c was not up to par! THE SMELL FROM THE MOMENT I WALK IN THE ROOM!
- 2/5
Disappointing
- 3/5
Pleasant
- 4/5
Staff was friendly at check in and check out. Our room was nice and clean. The view of the lake was also a nice added bonus.
- 2/5
Barxand store inventory was bad. Bar and restaurant were constantly loosing revenue due to low or no inventory.
- 5/5
Location and view is great
- 3.5/5
The hotel is really well located, close to the lake and NASA The lobby has clearly been renovated, but the rooms are really old. Especially the shower faucet is broken - the staff fixed it, but it's barely usable
- 3.5/5

Location. Updated lobby Outdated rooms and hallways
- 2.5/5
The shower was clogged floors were filthy. Rooms smell like bug spray. My rooms weren't ready at check in. the 50 fee per day and the self park fee amd I didnt have a car.
- 2/5
There were no towel bars, no fan in the bathroom. No pen no paper no information on anything. No complementary breakfast and prices were extremely outrageous for what you get. The pool is nasty. And most of the plug-ins in our room 305 didn’t work. I will never stay there again. No shuttle. That was the worst we were stranded.
- 5/5
It was an amazing experience. I love it
- 2/5
The gym could have been better only had up to 50 pound dumbbell and no leg machines. Also the room and halls smelt wet and the carpets looked old. Also, the pillows and bed mattress were horrible I only slept 1 hour because of how uncomfortable they were. We ended up leaving to another hotel and gave up a night already paid.
- 3/5
However, I was disappointed by the overall condition and cleanliness of the property. Upon entering the building, there was a noticeable musty/humid odor. Inside the room, I found that the curtains were torn and there was a lingering smell of smoke, despite the hotel being smoke-free. Additionally, the room did not appear to be thoroughly cleaned, as I discovered debris under the sofa. Furthermore, given the nightly rate, I was surprised to find that breakfast was not included. I felt that the overall value did not align with the price point of the stay. bring these issues to your attention in the hope that they can be addressed to improve the experience for future guests.
- 4/5
Easy check in and out. Staff from front desk to restaurant were friendly and responsive to our requests. Overall satisfied with our stay and would stay again.
- 3/5
All the staff were great and had very nice views.
- 5/5
Very impressed with the staff and the hotel from its age to its location absolutely amazing. The breakfast was 10 stars for sure. Highly reccomend
- 3/5
Outdated, bathroom didn’t feel clean
- 5/5
Good value
- 1/5
Hotel staff were nice, but the hotel room was not clean. Outdated facilities.
- 2/5
Old outdated property needs. A refresh needed and more staff
- 5/5
I loved the hotel. Everything was perfect. The environment was beautiful and the scent of the hotel smelled so good. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and helpful. The breakfast was delicious. My husband and I would definitely go back again if we travel from Austin to Houston. The lake view from our room was the icing on the cake.
- 5/5
All ok
- 3/5
The overall condition of the hotel was dated and worn. It felt like a Motel 6, with a higher price tag.
- 3/5
The shower had mold in the ceiling.
- 5/5
Our stay was nice. Would consider staying again.
- 3/5
Breakfast was 25 a person for typical hotel food that should be complimentary, price is way too high for what your given. Parking is 9 dollars a day. We reserved a room for double beds but were shocked to see they were just barely larger then two twin beds. We assumed they would be two queen size beds since that's been our experience at every hotel we've stayed in, in the past. Furniture was very warn down, cabinet to fridge never closed would swing open constantly. Room was always hot even with windows shut and AC going . No microwave in the room. A very scary safety concern was we went down the stairs and the 2nd floor door was boarded up so u couldn't continue down the stairs. That's a fire safety concern.
- 1/5
A man in front me of me said he was going to call corporate office because nobody called to notify him and he had been staying at Hilton properties for over 30 years.
- 2/5
Lost power and no lights or plugs made it very difficult for getting ready. Wife wasn’t happy. And no compensation.
- 5/5
Nice location
- 4/5
Over all a good stay! The place has a really nice view.
- 4/5
Shower drain didn't work well, no ventilation in bathroom. Bed was clean, pool was nice and had shade in afternoon. Breakfast buffet was decent but overpriced
- 5/5
Really love this place.
- 2/5
The breakfast was overpriced, and the lake view room fell short of expectations in terms of upkeep. The TV console drawers were loose and wouldn’t stay closed, the full-size mirror was broken and had been removed without replacement, the lakeside windows were foggy, and the accent chair was missing its ottoman.
- 1/5
The photos on hotels.com are AI photos and the rooms look nothing like what is posted. The lobby is very nice but once you exit the elevator onto your floor, the smell of must/mold is very strong. After entering our room, we found a pair of dirty socks on the floor. The AC didn’t work in “lake view room” so we were moved to a different room and the AC was bad in that room also. There was a bug trap next to our toilet, which tells me there is a bug issues. The hotel is very outdated and not what you’d except out of a Hilton. Much better options in that area
- 1/5
Rooms were dirty pool was out of service room smelt like sewer had water leaking in through the window.
- 5/5
Great view of sailboats
- 5/5
We had a great room with balcony and the night time view of the water was beautiful.
- 5/5
Comfortable. Clean. Friendly and accommodating staff. Great location. Beautiful views!
- 5/5
Great property, friendly staff. Room was clean and spacious and bed was comfortable. Hotel had a nice restaurant and was closento many place to eat.
- 3/5
Room
- 1/5
Hotel is not well maintained. Carpet is in bad shape in rooms & common areas. Also, booking through 3rd party, you will be charged additional $9/night for parking and not receive breakfast voucher. Both are included when booking direct
- 1/5
We aren’t sure what has disappointed us the most. The tub is rusted, the shower doesn’t get warmer than room temperature, there is fast food trash in the hallways, the AC constantly drips water onto the carpet, the whole hotel smells musty, including the pillows, the tables at the dining room are sticky, and to top it off, there are about 10 working channels on the TV’s, 11 if you count the Guide. The staff were friendly though, that’s worth a star.
- 3/5
Property is quite dated so while the room was spacious it had a mouldy smell and the walls are paper thin, kept awake late into the night by next door rooms TV and talking on calls. the gym is very good. loved the view over the lake from the room and gym. the breakfast is passable. advertised as walking distance to space center but its a really busy road and dodgy sidewalks so we ended up taking ubers everywhere. would be nice if hotel had a shuttle service for space centre and nearby restaurants
- 5/5
Great stay close to the NASA space center had a great time. Great free breakfast.
- 5/5
Air fresheners in rooms would be nice give it more of a peaceful stay.
- 5/5
The room we had look out to the water. The views were amazing.
- 3/5
Several thing in the room was broken. The staff however was extremely kind and welcoming
- 4/5
View is excellent
- 2/5
The bedroom was fine, with a nice lake view. But bathroom was very small, not clean, felt like an old one without any recent maintenance. There were no trash bags in the room, and office staff gave one after request.
- 5/5
The bed was comfortable and staff was nice
- 2/5
The hotel is so old and has just been given the landlord special with paint over the issues. There’s cracking on the doors and on the orders of the framing. The carpet smells and I’m pretty sure there’s mold in the rooms. Stay somewhere else please
- 5/5
Nice clean room with view of the lake. Staff was extremely friendly
- 4/5
Breakfeast was lacking
- 5/5
I was well taken care of regarding my celiac condition with staff that fully understood. Thank you everyone
- 5/5
The Room was very clean, carpet was a little dated but clean, staff was exceptional friendly and professional, breakfast buffet was great with fresh items and an omelette bar. The Luna Restaurant has a great view and the food was ok, however, might need some improvement on the cooking (salmon and chicken both a little overcooked/dry and potatoes undercooked) the spa was nice clean with a great view and everything worked!! Overall a pleasant stay at the Hilton.
- 1/5
Staff on the other hand were extremely nice and helpful. Hotel overall was clean and nice.
- 5/5
O
- 5/5
Had a family emergency and they allowed us to check in early after driving 20 hours straight to get to the area. Staff was very helpful and caring. Would definitely recommend this location.
- 2/5
No hot water, and us very old
- 5/5
Front desk staff were terrific and very helpful. My suite was great and pretty view. Close to the NASA Space Center. Decent brunch - good value
- 5/5
From check in to check out..the staff was friendly, warm and welcoming, the room on the PH level was really cute and intimate, the breakfast was delicious but my stay was too short...
- 5/5
My wife and loved our time at Hilton Houston NASA Clear Lake. The only negative we both had there was the bed was not the greatest to sleep on. This place would be a great place for a conference or just getting away from the city.
- 5/5
Room was warm even though AC was set to 60 & it was set on this when we arrived. While taking a shower in room 409 my feet and ankles were taking a bath.
- 3/5
Everything was good until I killed two roaches.
- 2/5
Booked a junior suite, turns out it was above the room a prom was being hosted in. I could feel the music coming through the room and couldn't sleep. Staff said it would be over soon, finally at 11pm it was over. I had to get up early and this was not what I would expect of a Hilton. Staff couldn't move me due to the hotel being full but offered ear plugs. Finally offered me one night for free. Hotel is okay but could stand an update. The view out the windows is great but don't stay here if you expect to be you know sleep or relax in your room on the lower floors.
- 4/5
Air conditioning was good. Room was clean
- 2/5
Overall everything was fine, but honestly the rooms are very old. I didn’t really mind since it was just for one night. I don’t think I would stay there again. As I said, it’s kind of “meh” I guess it gets the job done, but nothing out of the ordinary.
- 4/5
The room was clean, but the hotel was dated. The staff made up for it as they were very nice. The view of the bay is gorgeous and it is quite convenient to NASA.
- 4/5
But the location was great, views amazing, and the staff was superb. We loved the bar and the restaurant. Would stay here again!!!
- 3/5
It is a little dated, But fine for a quick weekend pop in, pets allowed.
- 2/5
Shower didn’t work, not able to clean ourselves
- 2/5
The front desk staff was incredibly rude and not helpful. Our room was by the laundry room, the washer and dryer were working at 11 pm and they woke me up around 5 am. I have a recording with the horrendous sound. Then, I paid for breakfast on Expedia and the hotel charged me extra for breakfast, they said they didn’t show breakfast on my booking on their end and asked me to contact Expedia. So, all in all the hotels services and staff are becoming increasingly expensive and lousy. I paid almost $200 for a room at Hilton and if that kind of money won’t ensure a better service, how much should we pay then? Definitely will not book Hilton again.
- 5/5
My family enjoyed the stay in this property. Great view from our room and good service!
- 2/5
Breakfast is not as other hiltons
- 3/5
Room was dirty and there was trash left from previous guests. Everything else was fine.
- 4/5
The room we stayed in was very spacious and comfortable. The only thing was that it had two temperature control panels. When putting the heater on in the one with the bedroom, it would not heat at all. We had to turn it off and turn on the one that is by the kitchen wall. Even at that, we set it all the way to 90 degrees and it barely heat up throughout the cold nights. Everything else was good.
- 1/5
BUT! Was very disappointed in the property and room cleanliness. DID NOT HOLD UP TO HILTON STANDARDS! AT ALL! The pool was unmaintained, my kids didn’t even want to swim in it because it was dirty. They charge for parking? There was grease stains all over one of the head boards in my room. The room smelled of mildew and dog danger. Just really disappointed in our stay to enjoy the Space Center. Way over charged for what you get. For the amount you pay per night this should have been a better experience.
- 5/5
Very good restaurant and amenities. Would stay again
- 5/5
Loved the spacious room and the view of the lake was great!
- 5/5
Great, as always. We stay at this property every time we are in the area.
- 5/5
I had a GREAT time for my staycation! Everyone was kind and courteous!
- 4/5
Place is nice, you can tell the hotel is showing its age.
- 5/5
Nice room. Staff was amazing. View was outstanding. Easy to access. No problems.
- 2/5
The noise level in the adjacent room was poor. Teh lobby and entry were nice, but the rooms were not what I would have expected for a Hilton Hotel. Very disappointed.
- 4/5
Yes
- 3/5
Hallways super strong smoke smell. Overall very worn down and needs new painting, and furniture
- 2/5
Room was small, the furniture was in poor condition, the air conditioner was broken
- 4/5
Room was spotless and the Staff was excellent.
- 5/5
Nice staff
- 5/5
Would stay here again!
- 5/5
The manager was amazingly courteous, empathic and helpful! Lakisha is her name, I believe. She helped me rectify the incorrect booking created *with a live Expedia rep named Alaa* and got us squared away. She said Expedia gets a booking very wrong at least once every couple of months. I hope that Expedia experience doesn’t happen to you, and if it does with this hotel, I hope Lakisha is there to fix it!
- 5/5
The professional staff are attentive, efficient, and consistently supportive. The rooms are clean and well-maintained, providing a comfortable stay.
- 4/5
Shower didn’t drain properly and the toilet didn’t flush properly
- 5/5
breakast was very expensive
- 5/5
The staff at this hotel was outstanding! They were very attentive and caring. The breakfast buffet was really great. The hotel is a little older but the staff took care of issues we had promptly and courteously. We stayed for almost a week and everyone was just delightful.
- 5/5
Very nice staff, easy check in and out.
- 4/5
Clean room, friendly staff. Amazing assortment of fruit at breakfast
