Hotel itself was great but there is a restaurant next door that makes the entrance HORRIBLE due to how packed it is. Literally waiting in a line of cars to get past it into the hotel parking every time you arrive. And be questioned by security or valets for the restaurant/club when you go through

The property is feet from a major rail line. I did not get an hour of rest due to the frequency of trains that passed every hour during the night. This left me tired, and mentally slow for my presentation. I do not understand why Hampton/ Hilton would host any paying guest in that room. I think they may have assigned me to that room due to my use of Expedia, which may have affected my stay.

Would have give 5 star except accessibility from the street is difficult due to restaurant next door.

Room was clean and the staff was nice. Breakfast was just ok. The hotel is loud. You can hear everything happening from inside your room. And the trains are pretty loud and go all day and night. The restaurant next to the property is always packed and makes it hard to get in and out of the parking lot. I appreciated the security gate around the hotel parking.

There was a police presence at the front door. The same very tall police officer made it a habit to try to make me feel uncomfortable by staring me down. I was there on business and always dressed well. I don't think he liked me because I am white. I would say hi to him, but he never replied with anything but a glare.

Property shares access road with some restaurant. Frequent blockage makes accessing property. Also cops are blocking road and you need to tell them you are trying to access hotel. Also they are making up rules about one way traffic while they do nothing to unblock one car which took forever to drop people next to restaurant...

They had carpeting in the rooms. There was a little smell everywhere in the hallways.In the rooms.

Although this is an older property, it was clean. Generally, it was equivalent to other Hamptons that I have stayed in. The location is a bit challenging due to traffic, but the parking was adequate.

I had a pleasant stay a the hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly and professional and check-in/check-out was smooth and easy. The location was convenient and made it easy to get around the area. Overall it was a very good experience and I would consider staying here again in the future.

Good enough to spend a few nights. Traffic makes the commute much longer if you are traveling for a convention-centered event.

The highway road raging ruined our sleep. We were up till after 3 am listening to the speeding jerks on I 10! We had moved our son into his apartment all day so we were exhausted. Worst night ever and we like Hampton Inn!

We enjoyed our stay at the Hampton Inn and Suites in the Heights in Houston Texas. All if the staff provided excellent service and were attentive to our needs. This is our second time staying there, and we will be back.

Room was stark compared to pictures online

I stayed in room 318 on 5/16/26 and the tub had residue in it. I didn’t know what the substance was so as I showered, I had to position my feet to avoid it as best I could. I had such a long day and didn’t want to make a big deal about switching rooms but the tub in that room needs attention.

The property is clean.

Everything about our stay here was a happy surprise. Last year we stayed at a hotel in Houston that was more expensive, didn't have free breakfasts or parking, raised their prices significantly this year, and wasn't as well-maintained as this one. The breakfasts here were very nice, changed daily and we found the breakfast room very comfortable.. The staff were pleasant and helpful. I was appalled when an obnoxious guest repeatedly berated the young lady at reception for something that was obviously his fault and she had no possibility of fixing. Her calm and patient responses were admirable. Next year when we return for this event the Hampton Houston Heights will be our first choice. I was glad that reviews warned us about the strange way to enter through the parking lot of what appears to be a defunct restaurant that was always packed with cars. Once past that, gated parking at the hotel was fine.

My stay at Hampton Inn was great! The hotel was clean, comfortable, and the staff was very friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

But one night, their lights were out about 4,5 hours, so we have to sleep without an AC But it’s very rare. Also, one side of the hotel facing to Highway, the other side facing to railroad. Lillie noisy. But like I said, the hotel is good over all.

Great location easy access to everything in Huston. Clean spacious rooms staff that were helpful. Fabulous breakfast in the morning pool and Jim available for leisure. Would absolutely stay here again.

The parking at this location is a bit funky with the insanely popular Mexican restaurant nearby, so patience is certainly a virtue here. 😄

Shannon at the front desk provided exceptional customer service during my check in. Also during the stay part of the building lost power and all staff were very helpful. The room was very clean! I definitely will be staying here again!!

Clean rooms, great service

Great hotel stay in Houston Heights! Highly recommend this hotel. We had a king suite and brought our small dog (service dog). We all enjoyed our stay and can highly recommend this property.

For the most part my stay was wonderful. The staff was very helpful. Everything was very clean and organized. The only issue we had is that our microwave in our room didn’t work which the staff utilize their break room microwave to warm our food up for us I definitely will stay again. They also offered to move us to another room. And did say they could have Maintenance come in to take a look at the appliance.

Clean room with a comfortable bed. Parking is convenient. Breakfast was good too. The only bad thing about this hotel is that it is very close to some train tracks. While we never heard train horns, you could hear the trains passing by. It wasn’t extremely loud, but it was surprising.

The hotel staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was clean. The indoor pool was well kept and stocked with towels.

There was a bug that was sitting in the middle of the room for the last three days when I was there. Even after the room was cleaned the bug was still there.

Everything was perfect

Our vacation started out with a snag as the TV didn’t work in our room, and stayed like this through the second day! The manager and front desk stepped up and moved us to a new room and were very compassionate about the whole situation!! We will definitely return! Plus the location is close to so many amazing restaurants and bars!

There was some miscommunication during check in with similar names and an issue on Expedia side, but once I brought this up the the managers attention, Selena was quick to help resolve my issue and continued to check in with us throughout our stay! Honestly, her attention to her customers and her friendly demeanor made it a wonderful experience! Thank you so much Selena! We will definitely be staying here again.

Breakfast was great in the mornings. The gym was well equipped for quick workouts.

One improvement would be having a more consistent housekeeping schedule. Some days housekeeping arrived before 10 a.m., while other days my room wasn’t cleaned until well after 1 p.m. Having a general timeframe would make it easier to know when to leave the room and when it’s okay to return. The main issue during my stay was the shower. When I arrived, the bathtub spout was not caulked and there appeared to be a problem with the diverter valve. Because of this, water continued to flow from the spout while the shower was on, which caused the tub to drain slowly and back up. Unfortunately, a replacement room of the same type was unavailable due to full bookings, so I endured the issue. That said, I do appreciate the staff making an effort to help and having maintenance caulk the spout. On a positive note, the gym was almost always empty, which I enjoyed, and I liked that the pool was indoors. The breakfast was decent with a good variety. I particularly enjoyed the maple sausage and the biscuits and gravy. I also appreciated the different waffle flavors. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. I just hope the remaining repairs are completed and that the shower is fully functioning next time.

I was given the wrong room. The hotel staff blamed it on Expedia. I paid for a suite with a King bed and was put in a regular King bad room. They were booked so they did not accommodate me. On top of that the room given was by an active train and the freeway so it was very noisy during the day and night. We didn’t get much sleep at all.

For the first time in a long life, my wife and I were kept awake by a dog across the hall in our third floor hotel room! Irresponsible (and cruel) dog owner and stupid hotel policy that allowed it...

Upon arrival, I found a note on my door stating the property would be doing upgrades the week I was there and access to my room would be required by workers. When I called the front desk, the woman verified that was correct. I did express that wasn’t ok with me, I didn’t want workers randomly showing up and being in my room. The clerk became defensive and dismissive. It was rude and I didn’t appreciate booking a room and then showing up to the possibility of workers in my room. It felt like a pretty big ask. Just shut down what you need to renovate and don’t disturb your guests.

I stayed here multiple times last year in 2025. It’s nice and clean and quiet. Beds are very comfortable and I looking forward to another visit to Houston.

The bathroom door did not work properly. It would be nice to have a nightlight in the bathroom. The shades on the room window were not long enough to keep the light out day and night. The shower did not work properly with water coming out both the showhead and faucet at the same time. The breakfast on a scale of 1 to 10 would be a 4.
