Hampton Inn Houston Downtown Convention Center

We arrived from our cruise around 9am and were able to check in and get our room. The front desk staff was very friendly and had a very nice conversation during the check in process. We were able to enjoy the hot breakfast too. The hotel is located about 2 blocks from Daikin Park and about 4 blocks from the Toyota Center. Sports fans will absolutely love staying here. Plus there is a World Series trophy in the lobby.

Breakfast was great each day! I had dinner several times in the lobby and it was enjoyable. The bartender (didn't catch her name, a lovely young African American woman) was VERY pleasant and helpful! The employees that worked out front were so friendly! They suggested that we take the hotel shuttle (we didn't know that was an option) and the driver Liz was amazing! The front desk staff was also very welcoming. I think my family and I needed a larger room. Tight quarters! My daughter found a twist tie in her hamburger during one to go meal!

The staff was very helpful and friendly. The hotel was clean, the rooms were clean and beds very comfortable.

The property was fine. Although I had made a full deposit of $400 to Booking.com, when I arrived there was no reservation.

We had a conference at the Marriott Marquis hotel. This was conveniently located diagonally across the street from the conference. It is also 1-2 block from the convention center and Minute Maid or Daikin Park. Very conveniently located. Staff are friendly

I did like the building and all but couldn’t set the ac for a proper setting, it was dead The price, i was getting charged soo much for no reason, and idk if it was for an event but never again will i spend soo much money, i got that room at 2am just to start getting kicked out ar 11 am?? Where did my whole night goo??

Breakfast was good… nice selection although I am a bacon lover and that was not available, so a bit disappointed but not a game changer! Parking was great but may I suggest that directions for parking be better outlined… ie that you need to park in front of the entrance of the hotel and use Valet parking. We assumed that the lot across the street was also parking for the hotel!

Breakfast at Hampton Inn was fresh and abundant. The switch pool was perfect in size was immense amount of tables and chairs to sit back and enjoy the sunshine.

The Hampton Inn on Crawford is always an excellent experience. The staff is always outstanding!

The facility was very nice and close to Daiken Park.

Due to a system outage our check in was delayed about an hour. Staff was very accommodating and did the very best to get everyone checked in asap. The breakfast buffet was the largest we’ve seen with a great selection. Valet service was well worth the price.

We enjoyed our stay. Ballpark is within walking distance, which is a plus for us.

The girl room was not cleaned well. The restroom had stuff on the walls, the sink didn’t drain and windows were dirty.

Staff was very friendly and helpful, especially the valet parking and front desk. Our room was ready. Beds were very comfortable. Bathroom was spacious and clean. The location was awesome for walking over to Daikin Park and to the George R. Brown restaurants.

We love staying here!! We were here for the Astros 3 game series because it is an easy walk to the stadium. The bar has great food and staff. This is our go to place to stay when we are downtown.

The housekeeping did not come in the room to clean are change the sheets in my whole four day stay even after asking the front desk for the housekeeper. Parking is terrible and overpriced.

Great location, great amenities, great place overall. I was just disappointed at how the staff treated us, we went downstairs to get some snacks and drinks, and the guard over there was all over us as if we were trying to take something without paying, he was not helpful at all. The staff at the lobby was amazing though, very kind people.

The location of the hotel was fine but accidentally I made a double booking and when I went to cancel my second booking, they charged me a penalty of one night stay which was very hefty.. A little upsetting, especially because I was a customer and stayed there.

We had a fantastic stay at the Hampton Inn Houston Downtown Convention Center. The location is unbeatable and made it easy to explore downtown Houston and attend events nearby. The customer service was truly 10/10. Every employee we interacted with was friendly, professional, and worked incredibly hard to ensure guests had a great experience. The only concern was that the hotel seemed significantly understaffed. From check-in to valet to the bar, the staff were clearly stretched thin. A special shoutout to Haylee behind the bar on Saturday night. She absolutely crushed it, handling what felt like 100 guests completely on her own while maintaining a positive attitude and providing excellent service. She was the highlight of the evening and deserves major recognition for the incredible job she did. Despite the staffing challenges, the team made our stay memorable. We would definitely stay here again.

Great stay and friendly staff

On the positive side, the location was perfect for us since we were attending FIFA World Cup matches. Breakfast was excellent every morning. The highlight of our stay was definitely the valet parking staff. They were friendly, helpful, attentive, and always willing to assist us. Their professionalism and positive attitude made a big difference and were by far the best part of our experience.

Hotel was clean. Breakfast bar was amazing. Something to eat for everyone. We will be staying there from now on.

Clean room, spacious..... the late night area store came in handy being extra thirsty and grabbing a water before hitting the room. The lounge and bar area was a great option to eat quickly instead of wandering downtown.

The staff were exceptional and friendly. Loved the Astros team spirit at the property. Great family weekend at the ballpark, even with the rain on Saturday. The ponchos from the front desk staff were helpful! Close proximity to the ball park and local eateries.

Overall bad experience my room Ac was not working slept through the first night with the temperature at 76 called and complained they were able to send maintenance to check the air conditioning unit and still the problem wasn't fixed left the room for over 4 hours and gave them the benefit of the doubt that it will be fixed and nothing called again to complain and finally they were able to move me rooms

Interesting location for just a day or two but nothing more. They were doing renovations to the ceiling right by the elevator doors which has a good amount of foot traffic, that didn’t feel safe. The rooms were mostly clean but some walls had big scuff marks.

Beds are okay, WiFi is terrible and drops every 10 minutes. Other than that the staff and complimentary breakfast are great!

Had a wonderful stay and would stay again

All hotel employees were nice, and professional. But I really have to highlight the Valet employees and front desk. Any question or request of them was handled as efficiently as possible (and always to my satisfaction).

Every thing was great but one small issue was the shower, for some odd reason the pressure of the water was going low like to the point of almost shutting off and back to high again, but it only did it 2 times each session and it went back to normal

They were kind enough to hold my bags for a few hours after I checked out so I could stroll around the convention floor one last time before headed home. They are walking distance from Diakin Park, George R Brown Convention Center, Discovery Green, and Toyota Center. They aren't too far from the middle of downtown (main street corridor) and the walk isn't bad, but there is a light-rail stop near the hotel for those who want an alternative to walking.

We had no hot water the entire stay. We called multiple times. Maintenance came and it was fixed temporarily. The water turned back to cold mid-shower. Follow through with issues did not happen.
