I wasn't expecting such a poor experience with a Marriott hotel. Extremely putrid mold-resembling scent engulfed the room and would only get more prominent as the days went by. Clumps of knotted hair were spread all over the bed, which in itself was damp and had uncomfortable pillows. There were live cockroaches and remainders of nail clippings on the ground. Garbage was left in the room without being disposed of, such fry boxes. Bad lighting as well. Terrible hotel in regards to cleanliness and comfort, would whole-heartedly not recommend choosing this for your next stay in Houston.

Clean, friendly staff, good location, free self parking.
- 4/5
The room was clean, but on the 2nd night, I saw a baby roach in the bathroom. Every staff are very nice and helpful. The breakfast on Friday morning is not what I expected. The Waffle batter was very thin that couldn’t make a waffle. A staff who doesn’t speaks English was very pleasant tried to adjust a couple time the batter and made me one. That was very sweet of her. The same morning, the orange juice came out as water with a little to none orange juice. Other than that, everything is good for that price.

Everyone was awesome they did a wonderful job. The girls at the front desk went above and beyond for me and my mom especially since my mom is handicapped and I have to place some of here stuff in a freezer and refrigerator. They were awesome
- 5/5
Absolutely amazing hotel breakfast was fully stocked area was totally clean. Room was beautiful highly recommend this hotel 10 out of 10.

Overall I’ll say my stay was decent… the location was perfect for the people I needed to see while in town, but there were a few small adjustments needed at the property for me to rate my stay higher. My room was on the first floor which was cool, but it had an odd smell which hit me as soon as I walked in and lingered the entire 3 days. Breakfast was nice, but there wasn’t any butter for the waffle station and only zero sugar syrup. I’m all for being healthy but at least have the options available. I appreciated the indoor pool but I could tell there hadnt been any cleaning done in there for a while. There was a broken float floating about - I did manage to sit in there long enough to collect the pieces and throw it away. There was stuff (dead bugs, dirt, used towel, etc) on the floors. I found a clean spot and enjoyed it as much as possible. I think making minor changes would have me return and giving a much higher score. The staff was nice and friendly and that’s why I scored the way I did.

Great place to stay..

Liked the full size shower toiletries and indoor pool. Breakfast was awesome!
- 4/5
I had double bed on second floor. The room was updated and clean. It includes microwave, mini fridge and usual coffee maker. The shower had nice tile and glass door. No handlebars. The conditioner bottle was on the shower floor because the wall holder thing was broken (minor issue). Hot breakfast was delicious. I saw a random person sitting in the chair in the parking lot in the afternoon and late at night both days I was there. He didn’t look homeless. It was just weird.
- 5/5
Clean and had nice staff Nothing
- 5/5
Staff is amazing. Everything is always top notch.
- 2/5
Nothing was unique. This should not be a Marriott property. From the cleanliness of the room, to the poor upkeep of the common areas and poor breakfast.
- 4/5
Staff friendly. Continental breakfast options are minimal. Waffle mix was a bit watered down. Snacks to be sold was very few. Water in the bathroom did not get hot. Tv channels were glitchy. Can’t get back into the hotel from outside doors because the card reader doesn’t work. Room was clean. Very convenient to highway.
- 4/5
Breakfast was adequate, with ostmeal, pancake, fruits, eggs, and sausage. Will stay again in the future. Location was very accessible.
- 4/5
Hot water took overv10 minutes, dresser drawers wouldn't stay closed
- 4/5
The location was perfect, the housekeeping was great and the breakfast was very good. My stay was great other than the unbearable stale moldy smell of the room.

Helpful and nice staff
- 5/5
The staff is amazing. I’m always taken care of here. I stay only here when I’m in Houston. They are rockstars.
- 5/5
The room was clean and staff are over the top services. Only thing was the smell for the old building. Overall great experiences for my big family. Very accommodating clerks at front desk. Decent breakfast for my family. Thanks.
- 2/5
There was stain on the bed sheet. When we asked them to change it l, they said there is only one person at the property, so just dropped the sheet for us. The breakfast was also disappointing.

It was comfortable and near to places
- 4/5
Check in and staff amazing. Breakfast was good. Hotel was clean, beds comfy. Common space clean and comfy. Location a plus near food and retail. This was a good stay and experience. No pool or hot tub. 🙁
- 3/5
There is not enough shower gel in two rooms, my sister had to use shampoo instead. There were no hair dryers in two same rooms. There was a strong cooking smell in the hallway. The staff is not very friendly.
- 5/5
The staff were attentive and helpful. They really made this the most pleasant hotel stay I've ever had. The room was clean and the beds comfortable. I loved the waffles and sausage at the free breakfast.
- 2/5
Room clean but the hotel looked dated. Close to shops and dining though.
- 0.5/5
The noise from the construction and remodeling and front staff was rude
- 5/5
Great experience!
- 5/5
It was clean and it had nearby shops. The only complaint is that we smelled weed the entire time we were there.
- 5/5
Comfortable
- 5/5
Nice place. Nothing
- 5/5
Clean
- 5/5
Excellent
- 4.5/5
Bathroom wasn’t that clean
- 4/5
Staff was courteous, the room was and clean. The only reason for one star being taken off was the spotlights outside were very bright, the early morning construction and the air conditioning that rattled. Besides that it was a nice place to stay.
- 3.5/5
That there was hot water. It doesn't match the pictures online, the toilet seat was not screwed in all the way, the plugs were too far away from the bed, when I first walked in the room there were tiles all over the bathroom floor, so that told me that they gave me a room that was clean or cleaned yet. I let the maid know and she seemed like it was the other cleaning lady's fault. So I had to stay in my brother's room until they cleaned it up, but then that made me wonder if the sheets were changed or not. Luckily, I brought my Lysol spray and sprayed everything down. Also, the pool was closed as well so I couldn't go swimming. This part isn't the hotel's fault, but through the night I heard couples arguing in the hallway and outside of the hotel. I also kept getting blinded by the street light that flashes right in my room at a certain time of night and I had to shut my blinds to actually get the room dark.
- 5/5
Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly.
- 3.5/5
Our bathroom door in our room didn’t shut right, but that was the only issue.
- 5/5
the room was great and we enjoyed our time in the room. Having control of the ac was nice when wanting it colder. The walk in shower was what we loved a lot. Blankets were very warm and beds were really nice.
- 3/5
HVAC made noise, this is not a typical Marriott quality
- 5/5
The breakfast was wonderful. The location was confusing. There are many in different places and I went to the wrong one 2 times ? The service and the staffs
- 4.5/5
Very good & staff was great in assisting when needed It was cold in the room
- 1.5/5
Very less option
- 5/5
La limpieza .el personal y el parqueo
- 2/5
Felt neglected. Wardrobe was broken, bathroom was stained. Property run down needed upgrades. Breakfast needs health check other than apples.
- 4/5
This was number 1 reason I chose this hotel
- 2/5
The hotel was smelling like mold. The towels wasn't smelling good either! The bathroom door could not close, the carpet need to be refreshed! The breakfast disappointing Overall very bad experience
- 3/5
Dirty. Bathroom had pieces missing from the walls.
- 3/5
The room was average I didn't like that the sockets was behind the bed thats dangerous in the shower nowhere to put your bathwash or soap the elevator was broke although I stayed on the first floor I sympathize with the other guest don't recommend it
- 2/5
The hotel just hasn’t been maintained well.
- 3/5
The a/c was not very effective at keeping the room clean, ran out of facial tissues right away (had only 2 tissues in the room), breakfast was without flavor. However, the staff was very nice and attentive.
- 5/5
Good
- 2/5
Was there the entire weekend and received no towels was told they was in the dryer but never received any
- 1/5
For the price you pay the room set up is not worth it. The TVs are out of date. Pictures are not hanging on the wall. They’re sitting actually on top of the stand. There’s no built-in blow dryer. Everything is separate. The showers are small. The room is small. It’s just not worth $116 if anything $75 night stay
- 3/5
The smoke detectors went off several times throughout the night for no reason. The floors could have used a good pass with the vacuum prior to our arrival. Overall, it was a good stay with minor inconveniences.
- 5/5
Short stay but it was pretty perfect for the price point. We had plenty of elbow room and the checkin was easy and friendly. Room seemed clean. They might wanna have the elevator looked at cause it sounds pretty creaky and groany. Other than that, no complaints.
- 4/5
Our room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom shower faucet handle was a bit finicky to get the right temperature of water, and the lighting could be brighter. The hair dryer should be replaced, the plastic part was sticky when being held. Breakfast choices were good, and the area was always being kept clean. Check-in and check-out were quick and pleasant.
- 4/5
Older property in average condition; friendly staff and good breakfast. Clean. Only thing is some of the people staying there are sketchy looking, but there is not much that can be done about that. Convenient location right there at Beltway 8 near Westheimer.
- 4/5
Easy to park and quiet
- 5/5
Lovely
- 5/5
Love the staff! Breakfast was great. Rooms nice, good location. Overall great stay, will def stay here again!
- 4/5
The room has a moisture smell, not bad, but you can tell... Breakfast can be a bit better (kindness of the lady during Monday and Tuesday) and also the waffle making machine is not working properly, and the worse of all... the gym is out of service, other than that, Endya on the front desk and Julia for the breakfast were great!!!
- 5/5
I didn’t like the fact that on Sunday, it said the breakfast was until 10 AM. I got there at 9:45 and the guy that was working. The breakfast area was kind of rude and said that breakfast at 9a. But on the wall, it said that breakfast on Saturday and Sunday ended at 10 AM.
- 5/5
Awesome
- 5/5
Liked quiet I slept peaceful and varied breakfast items.
- 1/5
Room was dirty, gym closed, gave me two queens when I had a king room
- 2/5
Only one friendly housekeeper GM and rest of staff horrible, need training morning dining attendant very rude
- 4/5
The staff were definitely over worked but very friendly and helpful
- 1/5
I had a really disappointing stay at this hotel. From the moment I walked in, there was a strong, unpleasant smell throughout the building. The hotel is old, poorly maintained, and everything feels dirty – from the lobby to the rooms. One of the main reasons I booked this hotel was because they advertised having a gym, but when I arrived, I found out there was no gym at all. This was very frustrating and felt like false advertising. Overall, the place is run down, smells bad, and is definitely not worth the price. I would not stay here again or recommend to anyone.
- 4/5
Everything was great except no body wash in bathroom. Housekeeping failed to refill.
- 4/5
Property needs updating.
- 3/5
The room was not ready on time after they said it would be. It was ready almost two hours later. There were a few yucky insects that appeared in our room. They gave us a new room. The bath had hairs in it and one was on a sheet. The indoor pool was not inviting. The breakfast and coffee was fine though.
- 4/5
We had a pleasant stay
- 4/5
Pool definitely needs to be updated it’s falling apart and it looked like people were partying in there the night before.
- 3/5
Shower fixture had problem
- 4/5
Customer service was amazing
- 5/5
AC is not modern
- 4/5
The picture of facilities shows a hot tub but it is not from this hotel, no Hot Tub!
- 3/5
The property was dated and needed renovation. The ac was loud. The bathroom light was dim and it had a urine smell. There was a dirty towel hanging on the curtain rail. The only good thing was the front desk was friendly when I was checking in.
- 5/5
Nice hotel, great service.
- 1/5
We chose this place because it’s a Marriott and because inside pool . The pool was closed . Hotel dirty. Sofa couch did not have linen and we had to ask for it and extra towels for all of us . It was brought to us because they had it in storage and not folded as it was pulled from another room or pulled out of dryer. Very disappointed .
- 4/5
Overall a comfortable stay
- 2/5
Air conditioner in room was broken. Pool closed and wasn’t told when booked it was closed and that was a reason we picked hotel.
- 5/5
Staff was friendly and very helpful. Our room was comfortable and clean.
- 3/5
Remodeling in early morning was loud and pool was closed.
- 2/5
Mildew. No pool.
- 5/5
Nice property. Clean and.polite staff.
- 5/5
Good staff and clean rooms
- 2/5
Location í great but room is outdated. Room is dark and light is too dim
- 1/5
Smells like mold
- 3/5
The elevator felt like it was about to fall apart, and the pool and jacuzzi were ice cold, even though maintenance staff were on duty. On the positive side, the location was perfect for convenience to highways, shopping, and dining. On a scale of 1 to 10, with 10 being the highest, I would rate this hotel a 6.5.
- 3/5
There were a couple things that concerned me about this hotel. The first morning we got up, we heard a transformer blow. When we went to leave our room, the elevator was broke. It was still broke when we left three days later. This is unacceptable. There were people in the breakfast room that obviously had mobility issues. And anyone checking out had to carry their suitcases down the stairs, three flights in our case. And we never saw any hotel staff helping. My other concern was the breakfast room and morning desk staff. The food in the breakfast room was fine, if it wasn’t out. There were multiple items out by 8 am. If you could find the breakfast room attendant, she very grumpily would get an item from the back. This happened every day. And how about coffee running out!!! This is not supposed to happen!!! And she would grump at you if you asked! Multiple times I had to go retrieve her from the front desk, where she and many hotel staff were visiting, and eating food from the breakfast room! This needs to be corrected!!! Very poor service.

I was in town with to be with my mom and dad, he is receiving cancer treatments at Memorial Herman Medical Center and wanted a place to rest my head. We had been up since 330 am the previous morning and we’re very exhausted. I called the front desk around 1145 to complain about loud stomping coming from the room above us she says she would look into it. The stomping continued all night, running back and forth, we did not get any sleep. Called the front desk again in the morning because stomping still continued, again she said she would check into it. Stomping and running is continuing.
- 3/5
The clerk responded by saying to that there was always someone having a worst day than we were. I told him I his remarks were hurtful and offensive. After saying he needed to be more considered and sensitive he shouted back I'm Sorry with a hateful stare. Being the new normal in America I decided to stay safe by not continuing the conversation. As a BonVoy member this is the most tence and unwelcomed atmosphere I've experienced yet.
- 3/5
The room was clean and all but the light from the parking lot was so bright we couldn’t sleep. Fortunately my wife was able to use some hair clips to close the curtain. The heavy curtains don’t close all the way. This is room 216.
- 5/5
Good
- 4/5
Everything was good but not excellent
- 2/5
No clean rooms upon arrival, stayed in lobby to wait until I could check in and the lobby was VERY uncomfortable (too warm), and there was nothing but Mountain Dew or Gatorade Zero to BUY to drink.
- 3/5
The desk clerk was less than helpful
- 1/5
TV didnt work, phone didnt work, a/c sorta worked. Lobby was very hot, no usb ports anywhere, cookie crumbs all over front desk counter when I checked in
- 4/5
Overall, it was fine for a one-night stay, but there were a few issues. The AC system was quite noisy, and unfortunately, the bed sheets were stained. I also found some hair in the bathtub. On a positive note, the breakfast was good
- 1/5
Will not use this property ever again. Where I live, a mandatory evacuation was issued and I had to return home and was not able to use the room. The property would NOT work with me be either refund or reschedule for another stay. HORRIBLE customer service. Shows Fairfield Inn is more about the money and NOT the customers.
- 3/5
It was ok, slightly noisy but overall a good stay and they gave me late checkout.
- 4/5
Great facility! The bed was amazing. Very quiet! Breakfast was good but preferred more options. The toilet was low and you had to hold it. Customer service was great but saw some bickering amongst the staff and the lady st checkout did not want to be there.
- 1/5
I can't remember having a terrible experience in any hotel, first of all the elevator was broken, we have to use the stairs, the concierge at check in was nice enough to help with my luggage's but couldn't get help during checkout even though I asked for it, I have to drag my luggage's downstairs using the staircase which was pretty much unsafe. Stayed for 4 days and never got a day of full room service, I asked for it and was told it was every other day but I can come down after hours for towels or toiletries, the day for cleaning it wasn’t done because full room services was now every two days, and when it was the two days according to them it was still wasn't cleaned. I just wasn't up for moving around I would have left the very next day. I don't recommend this hotel, the service I got was terrible.!!
- 5/5
The elevator was broken so the staff kindly let us know and we decided to stay at another hotel
- 2/5
The elevator was down and only 1 door of the 2 for the stairs was working. So the room key didn’t work to open the door to the stairs. And of course the only room available was on the 3rd floor. We had to hike up 3 flights of stairs with small children and all of our belongings. The overall condition of the place was a little ran down. I certainly felt like we overpaid for a standard room. Kind of a disappointment.
- 1/5
Avoid this property, I wouldn’t have stayed but I couldn’t cancel since arrived at ten pm and they said I would not get a refund. The elevator was not working and the room they had me in was on the top (third) floor! The desk attendant said he would carry my bags up but he didn’t. I was there from out of town for a medical appointment early the next morning. I have a severe foot and leg injury and still I had to drag myself and my bags up the flights of stairs! Once in my room the smell of mildew was overwhelming but at that point after driving for 4 hours I just wanted a cold glass of water and to lie down. Well, there was no ice machine on the third floor I would have to drag myself down to the first floor lobby which was just not possible. I am disgusted with what the desk guy told me was a “Marriott property and very nice” SHAME ON THEM ILL NEVER STAY AT FAIRFIELD OR ANY MARRIOTT PROPERTY EVER AGAIN. Not to mention the next morning they acted like I’d asked for the Crown Jewels when I requested a receipt for my medical records!!!
- 1/5
The hotel was dingy and everything was broken or antiquated. I had to check out a day early and I will be requesting a full refund.
- 5/5
The MAJOR con was that the elevator was broken & I was on the 3rd floor… I have Rheumatoid Arthritis in my knee….
