It was really affordable, low pet fee, and my room was clean and comfortable for the most part. It’s in the middle of the city yet cozily tucked away, so I felt safe staying there. It’s in a very convenient location. The clerk was helpful and kind. I would definitely stay again.

We were delayed during our cross country move from San Diego to Houston by a clutch failure in my truck in the middle of I10 and unable to make our reservation. We were charged $111.00 anyway.

Stove top, big fridge, microwave pull out couch, decent WiFi, amazing cleaning crew… pool was open I did clean out the leaves myself but the tool was accessible and I didn’t mind, and the laundry room washers and dryers were nice and clean! I’ve been to a lot of hotels and have never left reviews but this one deserves it! It’s nothing crazy but for a place to give you plates bowls pots pans silverware or whatever you need for free with your stay is pretty amazing! Saves money eating out it’s basically a studio apartment

Delayed at airport so arrived at 4:00am. Bedroom was clean. But kitchen living had construction buckets and extra key card for another room and filter masks on table and moldy food in microwave. . We had informed clerk at front desk, however we were so tired we just stated in bedroom area.

Location There were roaches I had to kill upon arrival. Upon my arrival I had a reservation for 7/26-8/2 and Tiffany stated I could stay in the same room. I went to check in and was told I had to pay an additional fee to stay or move. The mgr on duty was extremely RUDE and did not assist me. I will never stay here ever and will be posting a Google review

They wanted to place us next to a tenant whose room smelled horrid! They knew it too! They said he has a bunch of animals so you can imagine the smell! We complained so they gave us another room. The second room they gave us smelled of weed. I asked to change again the lady at the front desk just handed me a new key and said nothing! This time the room was fine. It gave the impression they wanted a certain group of people on one side of the hotel. It was also clear they weren’t at capacity so there’s no reason for them not to have been more accommodating. The exterior doors to the rooms are filthy like they haven’t ever been cleaned the doors were once white they’re black now! Some of the room doors also show signs of attempted break-ins. The stairwell had feces smashed into the carpet and what looked like blood smeared on the door! We’ve stayed here before and had no issues first time for everything I guess! Needless to say we won’t be back nor would we recommend!

EAR PIERCING 5am ALARMS The fire ALARMS went off two separate mornings at 5am repeatedly! My cats are so traumatized one’s sleeping in the kitty litter box and one’s hiding in the closet! The fire department had to come out both mornings. FLEAS They became INFESTED WITH FLEAS WHILE STAYING HERE! I have one that’s a very old rescue and has neurological issues & I can’t use topical or oral flea treatments on her. I had to bathe my older cat (the younger one has been staying in the closet, on the desk or the bed to avoid bites. She’s now had her flea treatment). I have to go buy stuff to treat all of my suitcases and stuff. I’m recovering from back surgery & have trouble standing and walking so it’s not as easy to just remediate as it is for most people. POOL BIOHAZARD I tested the pool water because I couldn’t smell any chemicals. The PH is so high that the chlorine can not work. So there’s ZERO CHLORINE in the pool! I’ve tried to talk to the desk about the pool & they said they would have a pool service come out. That was a week ago & people have been using the pool! MOLD There’s mold blowing out of the stairwell AC unit. It’s so potent it will gag you. There’s mold growing on awnings & walls. DRAMA Yesterday we had fire, ambulance and police here in three separate incidents! STAFF A few of the staff have gotten more friendly but there is one girl who should be a debt collector or bouncer!

Review: The stay was disappointing because the elevator was not working, which caused a lot of inconvenience, especially when carrying luggage or moving between floors. Another major issue was the towel service. Extra Towels were not available directly in the room, and we had to collect them from the lobby/reception, which is very inconvenient and not expected from a hotel stay. Basic guest comfort should be handled better. Guests should not have to go to the front desk every time they need towels, and a non-working elevator creates a poor experience. Overall, the property needs better maintenance and improved guest service. I would think twice before booking this hotel again unless these issues are fixed.

This is a motel which means when you open the door you are in the parking lot. I don’t like staying in motels and if I knew that was what this was I would not have booked. The breakfast was a muffin and instant oatmeal. Even though they have stove and a refrigerator there are no dishes in the room. It’s close to stores and dining areas. This was the only perk. The bed was so uncomfortable I kept waking up. Everything there is so cheaply made. I would not recommend this hotel.

Clean rooms, good parking. Kitchen was a plus, but the refrigerator was not cooling. The central air had a leak, so when I walked passed by it my socks would get wet due to the carpet being soaked. Bed was a bit rough, for those who like hard beds. Other than that our stay was good, great location.

We checked in really late to watch a WC game. We only slept there a couple hours. The room smelled like cigarettes, the floor carpets were wet. It seems like they tried to clean it before customers checked in.

The breakfast is advertised as free which was a draw for us but it’s only take and go with such things as granola bars and coffee. Disappointing!

We did not stay at this hotel because of the condition of the room we were shown. As soon as we entered, we noticed it had not been cleaned properly. There were live bugs in the bed and a set of false eyelashes left on the floor from a previous guest. Based on what we observed, we did not feel comfortable staying and left immediately to find another hotel. We cannot comment on the rest of the property or the overnight experience since we chose not to stay, but our first impression of the room was unacceptable.

The room itself had a strong unpleasant odor that made it uncomfortable to spend time in. It felt as though the room had not been properly aired out or maintained. The bathroom was in particularly poor condition. The bathtub showed significant wear and damage, with peeling surfaces and visible deterioration that made it look unclean and neglected. For a hotel charging guests for accommodation, basic maintenance and cleanliness should be a priority. Overall, between the broken elevator, bad smell in the room, and the deteriorated bathtub, this stay did not meet even basic standards. I would not choose to stay here again unless substantial improvements are made.

The whole property was run down. The room was okay. But when I book a suite with kitchen I expect cups and silverware. They told me I could request pots and pans. Huge gap under door to outside.

The room that I was given, smelled very smoky. Also the fact that I was told I would have to bring my linen down to the front desk to get them changed. I thought that was crazy. I was also told not to leave garbage in the trashcan I would have to tie the bag up and take it out myself never have. I’ve stayed in many hotels in the past and never had to do anything like this. I told the lady at the reception I would like a refund cause I will be going to another hotel. She said I would have to pay for the first night, which made no sense to me considering the fact that I just checked in. Anyways I left and checked in another hotel that same night. I was charged for the first night and I was refunded for the balance.

My family and I recently stayed and was very disappointed with the accommodation. False advertisement is the only way to describe what we experience. Two rooms were booked and both were unsatisfactory. Two sons stayed in on room and had a problem with roaches in their room. My other son and I were put in another completely different side of the building because our first room did not have two beds nor a sleeper sofa. There was also a loud piercing noise the entire time making it difficult to sleep. Their advertised grab and go breakfast was also very displeasing. It consisted of a few off-brand muffins and packets of instant oatmeal. Do not advertise grab and go breakfast with such limited amounts of food. The pool was also closed and no working gym. My family and I chose to go to the airport super early to wait for flights than to stay there any additional time. I would not recommend this location to anyone.

There is no airport shuttle. The pool is green, filling with garbage, but full to the brim with water. Breakfast is a hot cocoa packet.

First off they did not give me the room i asked for and when i was starting to drive from dallas to houston i called to confirm my room they confirm anyways i get there is not what i book and i was told the one i wanted had been booked for months. It was raining so the water was coming into the room i called from desk and they sent maintenance all he did was put a towel as a doormat to soak up the water. He said they didn't have enough buckets for a leak that was right by the door. The fire alarm thing was hanging off the ceiling and he couldnt fix it due to him not having the proper tools. Spiderweb on ceiling as well. NO BREAKFAST all they offer is coffee, "granola bars" and some muffins that who knows how long they were there. Beds need to be updated i could feel the spring on my back. Also front desk said no cleaning service, they only go every 14 days. You live and you learn. I wont book here again.

Breakfastis very simple and consisted of coffee/tea, muffins and some energy bars.

Breakfast choices were poor. Only carry iut cheap muffuns and fugbars. The worse I had. Coffee is decent. Laundry room had 2 broken machines. Our room 309 had heavily imbedded with smell made all if ys felt sick.

From the beginning, I called before I got there and was greeted by Miguel, who went above and beyond to make sure I was happy and got exactly what I was looking for! The hotel is going through management changes and renovations, and even while dealing with that, the entire staff always were approachable, professional, and patient. I stayed for a week, and couldn’t have asked for a better experience from such a place. My expectations were certainly exceeded! Not to mention the price being the best/ fairest you’ll get in the Galleria, without the absurd parking charges that you pay everywhere else. I can’t wait to see how this hotel grows over time, and I hope to be back!

There weren't any pots, pans, plates, etc... The rooms were nice and clean, I just wish we knew that there wouldn't be things to cook with.

Just needed a place to stay for one night to attend a conference nearby, this place met my needs for that. But anyone who plans to stay longer, cook, and eat should remember to bring pots, pans, dishes, utensils, silverware, coffee, mugs, glasses, etc. To check in and check out I had to wait a few minuets each time for someone to appear at the front desk, which was somewhat annoying.

You have to pay for parking there and that was not mentioned anywhere on the website or when I booked. Room was fairly clean. It was a decent facility but it is a motel not a hotel and I'm not motel fan. However, for the price, the location, and friendliness of the staff to accommodate an early check in made us still stay. It was clean overall and breakfast had a decent array of options. But the downside you have to pay for parking, our particular room the refrigerator clicked, the toilet ran alot even when not in use, and a couple of things in the room made it looked dated and not well kept. The location definitely made up for the little things being so close to the Galleria and walking distance to several good restaurants.

I go to Houston often for business and this is the first time I stayed at this residence Inn. I absolutely love the location. My room was great. I have no complaints whatsoever. I will definitely be staying here from now on.

The curb appeal was terrible, and the pool needed a light fixed. I was there Monday thru Friday and it still wasn’t fixed. I planned on swimming on my stay . I had to go to another facility and paid in order to swim. I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone. The kitchen staff was nice.

Overall place was just under kept with stinky hallways and broken gate locks.

As a 68-year-old architect, I recognized this as a life-safety emergency. After trying everything I could, I was forced to climb out through the window onto a third-floor walkway. Later that evening, I was promised repairs and returned to find nothing had been done. I had to climb back through the window a second time to retrieve my belongings. I handed my luggage out the window and was moved to another room. This situation was dangerous, traumatic, and completely unacceptable. I sent formal complaints to Marriott and received no impactful response or promise to remedy the situation. The property is in disrepair as evidenced by this very serious safety violation and a gross failure of management. I wonder if Marriott will repair this door before renting it again. As a Rewards member, I’ve stayed at many Marriott properties over the years, but after this, I have serious concerns about guest safety, maintenance standards, and accountability.

We thought all the signs on the gates as we pulled in were a bit concerning. We did not feel comfortable with the only door being outside. We had a scary experience as we headed out for supper and i felt like if my son hadn't been with me i would have been put in an awkward situation as i got off the elevator to head for the car. When we got back we grabbed our stuff from the room and checked out. When we told the lady at the front desk what happened and that we were checking out she just said ok and checked us out like it was nothing. Definitely would not recommend.

The air conditioner did not keep the room cool and the toilet did not work very well. Overall the stay was not bad. But I really need to have a good working air conditioner and this place did not have that. I ended up having to purchase a fan for the room to help. The majority of the staff was great and handled my concerns in a timely manner. There was just one staff member that lacked some professionalism.

For the rate per night, I expected a much higher standard from a Marriott-branded property. Unfortunately, the experience was far from luxurious. The elevator was out of service, forcing us to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs — incredibly inconvenient and unacceptable at this price point. Beyond that, the overall atmosphere felt unsafe and poorly maintained. It’s honestly embarrassing that Marriott associates its name with this hotel. I won’t be returning and wouldn’t recommend it to others.

The location was great. And the 2 ladies from the morning staff were wonderful. I found several roaches in the room. that was a big disappointment. The jets on the hot tub did not work and that too was a big let down. one of the nite lights next to the bed didn't work. one of the elevators wasn't working. but our room was closer to the one that was. But the staff was great. When I couldn't get in my room the front desk helped because the key card was next to my credit card and discharged itself. Never knew that. So the staff made up for the displeasure of the other items that I mentioned.

When my husband checked in, we had reserved a king room, my husband was told there were no ground floor rooms. He asked because I am in a wheelchair. We were unaware that some of the buildings were not handicap accessible. We drove over to the room and I realized there was no elevator to the 2nd floor. We also smelled pot all over the parking lot. I don't care if people smoke but the people were very sketchy and it was multiple people. So we went back to the front and I went in. I told her I cannot use a non accible room and needed a building with evevator access or a ground room. She found a ground room that magically appeared since my husband checked in 5 minutes ago. Sadly it was just a double bed, which the desk person did not tell me at check in. That was all annoying but forgivable. However the terrible state of the room was not. The "remodel" in the room, especially the bathroom looks as if it was done by a kid. The wires exposed in the bathroom were the worst. We did go swimming there and I wish I had taken pictures. There was a white growth around much of the pool and hot tub. It had not been skimmed and there was no towels. Speaking of towels, the bathroom towels were like sandpaper. I have travelled all over the world and stayed in 500 year old builings and they were not as amateur as this place. And who doesn't have handicap accessible rooms in 2025? I do not typically complain but this was outrageous for the price. Do better.

The staff was really nice and helpful, the property was dated, let out bed had a really thin mattress, elevator was super hot, our dishwasher leaked water all over the kitchen, the toilet seat was old and yellow, toilet seats don't cost much. the breakfast was cool, poolside was nice, gym was nice, laundry facilities only had one working machine the others were broke. Was not aware that we were going to be charged $16 per day for parking until I received my e-receipt. two of my friends that were staying there had to call for an exterminator because of roaches. I come to Houston every year for the cigar festival, I thought I got a deal with this place especially carrying the marriot name.Wasn't worth the money we spent. I will not stay there again.

Not only was it EXTREMELY dilapidated, but it was also just flat out filthy, and the desk was aware of it and smiled in acknowledgement. The entrance smelled like sewage, the door card reader didn't light up or beep, the couch had no cushioning left, the bathtub was severely rusted, the paneling and paint was at some stage of rot, the fridge was beat to hell, the closet tracks were rusted and filled with untold years of piled dust,/ trash/ filth. - To top it off, Marriot refused and kind of a refund AT ALL

Very personal hygienic cleaning supplies were left by the guests before us, we found this on our way out the door barf. The doors dont seal well so every noise around is heard. The first night we only got a couple of hours of sleep because of this. The beds were uncomfortable. We were charged for parking, roughly 20 a day, that i wasnt made aware of until it was charged to my card upon checkout. Alright now for the good. The staff were friendly and it is very close to the mall. Thats all i have nice to say.... We won't be coming back to this property.

Clean older building in a formerly nice part of town. Near a large mall but who cares about malls any more. Not as nice as I expect for a residence inn. No grand foyer. No after work drinks. The building feels like a 1980’s era apartment building converted to a hotel. It was barely more than a motel with exterior facing doors and no landscaping to speak of.

The room was pretty decent. Only complaint is the pull out bed from the sofa. It wasn’t comfortable. It had a full size mattress on a Queen frame. So my friend kept getting scratches.

The property was in a great location and safe walking area. Very clean and quiet.

Breakfast was good. The setup of the hotel is a bit unusual, different buildings for different sets of rooms. The bed wasn’t very comfortable.

Good stay. This is an apartment complex that was transformed into a hotel. Nice and roomy.

Very convenient location in the galleria area. The suite was a great addition to the room for us.

Loved the clean room and that it had a full kitchen. We had the suite with the private bedroom. Our adult kids had the pull out couch bed but bring extra cushions or blankets because it was not very comfortable. Loved the two tv's so we both had our privacy. Parking was under us and free! It is a VERY busy area but safe gated place! Shopping is near but we didn't stay for that. We had door dash the night we arrived and their were many choices. This was well worth the money! Will stay here again!

I really enjoyed the property. No one was in the pool or hot tub due to cold weather but other than that, the hotel is pretty decent. I would stay again.

Great location!

The staff was helpful, but communications were difficult due to language barriers. The property was in need of repair. The first night we stayed there was no hot water. The carpeting was held down with duct tape, and the dishwasher fell out of the cabinet. The breakfast team was amazing, they were always cheerful and kind. I wish all of the staff were like them. The location was very good, for what we needed. Just might be better options available.

It was an ok quick stay

The property looks very run down and old. The door we entered to our building was all scuffed up and poorly maintained. The room smelled. The drapes were in poor condition. The bathtub was stained. AND we had no hot water the entire stay. Additionally, we were unable to turn off tv because the batteries in the remote needed to be changed. After a trip to front desk and a second set of batteries that didn't work, the night clerk came to our room with fresh batteries. She was helpful, but the hotel did not seem concerned about correcting the hot water problem. We were advised the boiler was reset as we were checking out. Also, I opened a closet in the kitchen to find a rusty and corroded air conditioning unit that made weird noises. This is a dump!

Weird design. Felt like a converted apartment complex. Pool and hot tub taped off. Very unhelpful staff. Would stay elsewhere with all of the choices in that area.

I was highly discontented and disappointed with the condition of this hotel. It is far below what one would expect from a Marriott affiliate. I saw 2-3 roaches in my room each night of my stay. The sofa bed was in poor condition. It seemed to be pretty old. I will NEVER spend another night here, especially given the price. The staff was very friendly but the room was awful.

I would say rooms were nice but the outside areas are more to a motel 6.

This is a very dated property and is in need of updating

Suites were spacious. Overall a good short stay that is walking distance from the Galleria

Older property under renovation — very rough looking, but clean and well appointed inside. Not for the faint- hearted.

Breakfast was great on weekends not during the week. Was very clean and the gal at breakfast was nice , helpful and welcoming. Cleaning staff never came back to clean the room. I would go back if I could have a first floor room. Patio was good but could be alot cleaner.

Tiki helped me from the time I checked in until I left. She was very knowledgeable about the area and was a quick problem solver. She has no hesitation jumping into action to resolve anything. Hotel was clean and quiet, friendly staff and guest.

this is a very old / stale hotel in a prime are. Marriot needs to do a better job. Needs a serious upgrade

Would be five star but there was some wear and tear in my suite and the elevator was not convenient to my room. I was expecting more of a ‘hotel’ accommodation but this was more like a ‘motel’ meaning to go to breakfast or office you had to come outside.I understand these were converted from an apartment complex. Which is only an issue when the weather is bad, those with mobility concerns or you lock yourself out. Otherwise super!

There were roaches in the room. The door was hard to open. It also was not sealed properly, there were gaps at the bottom.

It’s needing an urgent renovation…

The room was spacious, and we appreciated the convenient shopping centers nearby. However, we were disappointed to find roaches in the cabinet, and the breakfast was lacking as they were out of eggs.

There were no elevators to the room and no safes in the room. Betzy at check-in did not inform me of the property. She did not mention a pool, parking, a gym, breakfast, how to access Internet, or any other amenities.

Nice. Fun. Easy.

It wasn’t a bad hotel if it weren’t for all the roaches and wasps.
