Reviews
The hotel staff is frequently praised for their friendliness and customer service, and the breakfast is often highlighted as a positive aspect. However, there are consistent complaints about the cleanliness and condition of the rooms, as well as issues with the air conditioning and parking fees.
- Friendly and helpful staff

Location and friendly interaction of the staff The renovation of hotel and bathroom had problems

It’s always a great experience staying at a Hilton hotel. Wonderful customer service
- 4/5
Property was under renovation so some leeway must be given but pool was cold most days so we could not use , gym is small but that’s ok , some machines did not work, wipes were dry , staff is great, breakfast was not to bad , enough choice, no drinks for non coffee people though, enjoyed happy hour in evening. Great location
- 3/5
However, I was woken up by my spouse after 12 midnight regarding a major leak in the bathroom. Water all over the bathroom floor. We were moved to another room However the bathroom tub faucet was dripping and the drain was rusted so it had been dripping for a while. The most inconvenient part was having to put clothes on repack everything and move to another room when you were sleeping and very tired. I spoke to manager who was kind and shared my concerns and experience. The only thing she was able to do was refund my parking due to the fact that I paid through a 3rd party. I did say that “ Do not put another guest in those 2 rooms until maintenance has been performed with the plumbing. What was even more upsetting was another gentleman who worked for that location said that it was dripping. I just don’t understand if the staff knew it was dripping why put us in that room so that we could listen to that annoying dripping sound every time we were in the bathroom.
- 3/5
They need new machines because they were very old and outdated
- 2/5
would not recomend stayin here, nece ubication and people, but everything else is terrible.
- 4/5
Breakfast was ok the layout of the food
- 2/5
Staff were nice, area of hotel is nice and breakfast is good The elevator didn’t work half the time, there was loud construction in the building, never listed you have to pay $25 a night to park, and toilets run all night
- 4/5
Conveniently located close to the Galleria Mall. Happy hour - great drinks / not watered down Great breakfast with made-to-order omelette (one of the best omelette I have ever tasted). Full breakfast. Under construction so pool and Jacuzzi was not working. The fact the pool and jacuzzi was not working. Rooms need a refresher and hotel needs some renovating (new drapes and furniture could get some cleaning up); other than that not bad.
- 2/5
They are currently renovating this property starting from the 6th floor and my room was in the 5th floor so there is consistent work over my head! My shower water wouldn't drain quickly- the bathroom sink knobs where weak and the water wouldn't get cold- and for the love of me that 25$ a day fee is absurd with all these conditions

Breakfast was great and the staff was friendly!
- 4/5
During our stay some of my family members encountered problems with their rooms without compensation (one free night) or adjustment. The toilet was not working and they were given a plunger to use during the stay rather than offering a different room. Another member of my family said the water went out on the last day, fortunately they had gotten ready to leave early. I used the hot tub during my stay but the water was lukewarm warm and became very foamy. The hotel is undergoing renovation and it showed. Breakfast was 7-9 AM on the weekdays which provided a very short window. Most hotels have at least 3 hours time for breakfast with coffee/tea/ juice all day. This hotel did not. There was flavored water which was nice as it was hot in Houston. Overall it was a decent stay improvements could be made for a more enjoyable experience. Rating this one 5 out of 10.
- 4.5/5
breakfast was really good. I really loved the manager's reception We had requested late checkout but they kept on asking us to leave!
- 4.5/5
There was a problem with roaches in my original room, 400. We moved to 404.
- 5/5
The Hotel was what I expected but the staff were the exception. The front desk ladies on the day and evening shift served with impeccable professionalism and care.
- 5/5
Close enough to walk to walk to restaurants and galleriea
- 5/5
The staff was very friendly! Loved happy hour! The breakfast was phenomenal and the staff always had a smile. We will definitely stay again.
- 4/5
The hotel was nice. The only issue I had was with the elevators. I’m very claustrophobic and one elevator was having problems. Beside that front desk staff was pleasant, efficient, and accommodating.
- 3/5
The staff was friendly & helpful. Like breakfast cook to order. The room was cleaned, however, outdated compared to other similar hotels. Did have issue with AC at night, not cooling properly.
- 1/5
The rooms are very old and dated. The air conditioned did not work well, I set it on 68 but the room never cooled below 75. The last day there was a transformer that went out at the property so the hotel was left with no electricity. I had to walk up four flights in a dark stairwell with no help drag my luggage and belongings back down the stairs again in complete darkness by myself and walk with my belongings over half a mile to another hotel. The hotel provided no staff to help or offer a ride to the hotel that they selected for me to stay in without my knowledge. This all happened on a 95 degree day in Houston. Terrible
- 1/5
The Air conditioning for the whole hotel was out. We were miserable. They didn't even discount our room.
- 5/5
all went well and safe
- 5/5
The breakfast
- 4/5
It was an ok stay
- 5/5
Cons: Hot Tub was lukewarm, and pool was cool
- 5/5
Loved the ambiance, great breakfast, clean room and great service. I can stay there time and again.
- 3/5
IT WAS GOOD FOR THE PRICE
- 4/5
This is an older property which needs to be refurbished a bit. However, the staff was great.
- 5/5
Everything was excellent! I will stay here again.
- 2/5
Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The hotel was dirty, and the overall cleanliness did not meet expectations. The staff was often unavailable when we needed assistance, and when we were able to find someone, the service was unfriendly. We were repeatedly told they were short-staffed, which seemed to affect every aspect of our stay. The manager also appeared to be in a bad mood and was not welcoming or helpful. Overall, the lack of cleanliness, poor customer service, and inadequate staffing made this a frustrating experience. I would not choose to stay here again.

Clean room and friendly staff. Great location.

Electricity was off when we went to check in. They put us up at affiliate Home2 suites down the road. Horrible hotel. We paid for Embassy and got a cheap substitute with no attempt to make us whole. Bad experience.
- 3/5
The hotel staff were very helpful. The hotel’s jacuzzi was cold. The hotel room was warm, the air conditioner wasn’t working properly. Overall it was a good stay, but they need to fix the things above.

The stay was okay until the AC didn’t work at 3am. I called the front desk and she said maintenance wouldn’t be there til 8-9am. I said okay so what’s the resolution right now? She moved us to another room which was the right thing but I have 3 small kids so waking them all up and packing to go to another room was not ideal at 3am :/
- 5/5
My family and I had a remarkable experience. This was my first stay at Embassy Suites. I can assure you that it will not be our last. The staff were very professional and friendly. The set up of the hotel gives a feeling of Paris. The inside rooms overlooking the lobby is a beautiful architectural design.
- 5/5
Every thing went according to plan, great job embassy suites. Always bringing your A game. Will definitely be back
- 3/5
Front desk day staff was amazing and helpful. The room was outdated, ceiling looked like it was damaged from leaks. Dry wall/ceiling was falling apart and bathroom had hair in shower. The hot tub was cold.
- 2/5
Property is under new ownership with new rules and reduced amenities for an Embassy Suites property. Water faucet from our shower wouldn’t properly close therefore an all night drip was heard . Have to present your “ little coupon” if you want an omelette in the morning as well as being limited to two drink vouchers for HH .

Planned and entire itinerary for my husband's father's day weekend here. Because of the rain chances, I choose a hotel that would offer an indoor pool and hot tub. I even called before booking to verify that they did have them and that they were fully functional. I was told they were. We arrived Saturday afternoon, to the room not being ready. When we finally got to the room. The room had a terrible odor. It was HOT, and quiet honestly, for a suite, in a horrid condition. Furniture was dirty, curtains ripped, headboards with paint slapped on in the most sloppy way. We tried to make the best of it and just called to have the AC checked while we visited the "heated pool" and hot tub. #1, the heated pool, was freezing. The hot tub, was at 93°. We had 2 kiddos with us, so they spent most time in the hit tub because the pool temperature was almost intolerable for them. After starting the hot tub jets, we noticed the water was green, yuck. 1 kid ended up sick to ger stomach after out visit. #2, The AC was checked, but room temp never got better. Lastly, the elevators, garbage, honestly, probably a safety hazard. First time on, it took us to the 5th floor, never opened, and went back down . This was ABSOLUTELY no where near the expirience I was expecting my husband to enjoy, especially for the price of 1 night. Save your money & go else where. You'll save yourself the headache, literally. This place is worn down. Shame that Hilton would put it's prestigious name on such a bad spot.
- 2/5
Overall, this was a major disappointment. The issue was not necessarily the hotel brand or name, but rather the quality and availability of the staff and services provided.
- 3/5
Hotel was decent. Slightly outdated. Elevator takes forever and there's no stairs. Convenient location though.
- 4/5
The staff were all very friendly including the front desk and the ladies at breakfast. I appreciate the very clean room and the fact that it didn’t smell because this is an older hotel in The Galleria area. I booked a king suit and definitely worth the space.
- 4/5
Needs updates

Excellent Stay!!
- 2.5/5
Location Had to pay to park in their parking lot when i was a guest in their hotel
- 2/5
They definitely doctored the photos of this place. There are cosmetic upgrades, but the bathroom needed a serious overhaul. The hotel itself is pretty old. Additionally, the fire alarm went off three times because “things burned in the kitchen” or something. That made zero sense at 1:15am. There is also a very high deposit that was never mentioned until I checked in.
- 1/5
Had bed bugs I my room this place is going down
- 3/5
In summary, the staff are great, but the building is not in great condition.
- 2/5
My room personally had no hot water pressure nor did the toilet handle flush
- 5/5
Staff was extremely nice. Elevators were very slow.
- 4/5
Property is worn, low toilets, furniture is worn and needs replacing. Staff very helpful. Refab would do wonders for property. Needs more handicapped parking.
- 5/5
Exceptional location walking distance from Galleria and trails. Restaurant parking in some areas were challenging but we made the best of the situation.
- 5/5
Good location and facilities.
- 3/5
The bathroom appeared clean at first glance, but the tub looked dingy and had clearly been repainted in several areas. The sink faucet was also misaligned, leaving visible gaps, and the sink stopper was broken, so it had to be removed for the water to drain properly. Overall, the room was clean enough for the price, but it did not meet my expectations. One of the main reasons we chose this hotel was the pool, but the water was freezing cold in the morning, making it unusable for us, which was disappointing. The elevators also need repairs, they closed on more than one guest during our stay.
- 2/5
The breakfast was the only food thing about this place. Unfortunately it’s just so old and it’s dirty…
- 2/5
The Premium floor room I was staying in as a constant bad smell coming from the (un-used) bathroom, I assume from the vents, the furniture is very old and uncomfortable - the bed headboard was a disaster. It looks very old and outdated. Embassy Suites lost an annual customer....
- 4/5
The hotel was clean, the bed comfortable the pillows were great. Pool clean and hot tub excellent. The only down side in my room was the tub/shower controls. The knob was falling off and it took 2 men and a boy to shut it off without dripping. I think the bathrooms need to be updated and the hotel will be great all around!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel and wonderful breakfast. Will recommend this 100%

- 5/5
The hotel location worked for us very well. The area is well-maintained with a lot of restaurants and shopping malls in the walking distance. Hotel rooms are clean and spacious. Breakfast was very good and the hotel provided the Happy Hour every day with drinks and snacks. We will definitely recommend this hotel.
- 5/5
The place is very clean and the staff is super friendly. The bartenders Diana and Karen are awesome! We had no complaints besides the pool not being available specially when you have little kids. They really need to work on that. The breakfast is awesome the best I’ve had in any hotel. All the staff are super friendly and they do an amazing job!! Keep the amazing job staff with the great customer service and how clean the place is 🙌 please just make sure the pool is fixed asap
- 5/5
All was good and they did have the elevator working.

- 5/5
I loved the hotel.
- 5/5
The staff was very accommodating, we ended coming in late and was greeted with a smile and was taken care of. I would recommend staying here and will stay here again. 10 stars if i could
- 5/5
It was okay for the stay I love embassy this one was a little older than the ones I usually stay at. Pool and hot tub weren’t open
- 3/5
Staff is attentive and do everything they should or can for there guest, they provide a good breakfast, and drink vouchers, but the hotel itself has AC issues, wasn’t cold, rooms are out dated, and need repairs, headboard had holes, along with the mattress, sheets coming off the bed, door to the bedroom wouldn’t close.
- 5/5
Customer service was exceptional. From the check in to the happy hour - the staff is awesome!!
- 4/5
The entire time we stayed not one person came to clean out each day. We made sure no notice was on the door. We had to ask daily just for clean towels.
- 4/5
Clean room, bed is comfy but headboard need replacement as it not aesthetically pleasing to the eye knowing this is within a Hilton hotel chain so pls keep the brand to be fabulous and popular to what it’s been known for and not tainted.Breakfast is missing some essential to some like no bacons/sausages unless it was incorporated to the omelettes for a cook to order and my favorite yogurt or boiled eggs which for some people might be a healthier option for a breakfast is also missing to start a great morning.Staff are great and welcoming but needs improvement for housekeeping especially in taking care of the smell and cleanliness of the hotel mainly the ground or guest restroom which can leave a lasting impression on their guests that can make or break the hotels overall rating or reviews.Cleanliness is a big deal for a comfortable stay and it just being polite and being respectful of one’s personal space once a guest decided and chose to stay in this hotel so pls be mindful in this area. Thanks and overall it was a great overnight stay though!
- 2/5
Our room was clean, but a lot of furniture was torn up. The hot tub did not work the entire time we were there and the indoor swimming pool was freezing and we did not have hot water last night. We had to wait till the morning to take a shower after swimming, which was gross.
- 1/5
The sink and the toilet were not draining the whole time. The indoor pool was dirty, cloudy and-extremely cold. The a/ c is not working properly. The worst experience ever
- 4/5
As others have mentioned, the hotel is dated. Needs a remodel but for location and price it was good.
- 2/5
While the location is in walking distance to The Galleria mall the hotel is in need of a renovation. Everything is old and outdated and not worth the price per night they ask for. Staff was amazing and attentive
- 2/5
Nerds a good cleaning hot tub didn't work and air conditioner in room barely worked.
- 1/5
Place was not well maintained hot didnt work and room air conditioner barely worked.
- 1/5
The poor staff at the front side oh they didn’t give you another key. No! And I mentioned to you and you didn’t mention it either. They thought it was funny that the guest had to walk back down to have the key activated again. Poor poor communication skills. The general manager Marko at sage rd in Houston promised me 5000 Hilton points for a horrible first night. This is by far the worst embassy suites I have stayed in. Fix the phones and the showers and get new headboards. !!!
- 3/5
I believe the front desk staff could show a bit more judgment and customer service; with just a little flexibility, they could really make a difference.
- 5/5
Convenience
- 3/5
The rooms phone did not work and they did not get it fixed after requesting. Food was OK, not great, Room was OK not great. Overall we were disappointed but just one night.
- 4/5
Sadly didn’t have time to enjoy the pool. Hotel was very nice. Beautiful palms trees and flowers. Never seen that before inside a Hotel. Breakfast was amazing. Very clean and love that they can make you omelettes. Felt like the restroom could’ve been cleaner. Didn’t like that you have to pay for parking. When booking online it showed taxes and fees were in the total, Only to find out parking was not included. I also felt like the whole staff could’ve been friendly. Not just the one checkin you in. I asked a question and just received silence until she was good and ready to answer. More concerned about telling the other girl how to enroll someone into the member thing.
- 4/5
The sink was filthy. The staff changed her demeanor when she saw my AMEX card.
- 5/5
Loved everything about this place
- 5/5
Other than that, everything was great!
- 5/5
Excellent stay. Food was delicious.
- 2/5
Pool closed
- 4/5
Breakfast was great and the suites was perfect
- 5/5
Very professional and friendly staff
- 1/5
No disclosure about the $35 parking fee
- 4/5
Be aware that parking per night is 35$ not 25$ as official poster says and lady on the front desk confirmed that price is 25$, but charge 35$
- 3/5
While the location is excellent and your front desk team was consistently welcoming and professional, several issues during my stay significantly impacted the overall quality.Room: Unfortunately, the room’s location—adjacent to the laundry room and a malfunctioning ice machine—resulted in continuous noise and inconvenience. Upon arrival, I noted there was no security peephole on the door. The in-room phone was nonfunctional for the entirety of my three-night stay, despite an attempted maintenance visit. This made communication with staff extremely difficult, forcing me to visit the front desk in person for ALL requests. (Wi-Fi pw, extra towels, wake-up calls etc ) Additionally, towels were inconsistently textured (soft to scratchy), and I ter noticed a permanent sticker displayed on the television stand instructing guests to retrieve ice from the front desk, which detracted from the room’s presentation.Dining: Breakfast and evening reception offerings were below expectations for the Embassy Suites brand. The buffet food was lukewarm, coffee weak, and juice unpalatably bitter. The omelets were made to order but lacked substance, and breakfast meats were not visibly presented, requiring guests to ask staff specifically. The evening reception selections minimal, wr chose to dine elsewhere after the first day.Additional Concerns: The elevator service was notably slow. The $25/day parking fee for an open, unsecured lot accessable to a busy street was unexpected and concerning

Beautiful hotel and nice breakfast
