Incredible hotel, beautiful inside and out, would stay again in a heartbeat!
- 3/5
overall a great stay, and the staff was very accommodating. there was no microwave in the room, which is okay, but not even one on site at all. if you bring back leftovers from a restaurant there is no way of heating it up. that was the only drawback, which forces you to spend elevated prices to order food from their on site food options. other than that, all was well.

The front desk staff & bar staff amazing! The shower was bad. Half glass water shoots everywhere & not enough complimentary bathroom supplies for the price a few more would have been great.

This is a great place to lodge when in Houston. However, The valet service is pricey.

Great location in downtown Houston! Conveniently located and staff was very professional. Breakfast buffet was phenomenal, special shout out to the lady who makes the customized omelettes she was amazing! Hotel is not well maintained. Noticed several doors/cabinets/furniture that show wear & tear. For the rate we paid, I would assume the maintenance team would be on top of these. Our room, the furniture looked beat up, the shower faucet was dripping and the black fixtures were chipped. Also, the sofa in the room had large stains. I did bring these items to the front desk's attention and fortunately they had the maintenance team repair the leaky shower head but let us know they would not be able to get the stains cleaned on the sofa until the following day. We were also given an adjoining room (which we did NOT request), so we could hear the guest in the next room almost as if he was in our room! That was very disappointing, specially when we were supposedly receiving an upgraded room.
- 4/5
Beautiful hotel with great respectful and kind stay. My only complaint would be the hotel has that old hotel smell, including the rooms. Not sure what could be done for this but I have no regrets!! Love me my stay otherwise!

Our experience did not match the price or the expectations set by the Expedia listing. Customer service was poor from the start. We requested extra washcloths and towels but were told no one was available to bring them until 6:00 a.m. Even then, no one ever delivered them. The Expedia listing also advertised complimentary breakfast, but we had to pay for it. We were never informed about the $100 per night incidental hold either. We booked expecting to pay around $93, so the additional charges were an unpleasant surprise. The room didn’t have an iron or ironing board. After requesting one, we received a broken iron that leaked water all over my wife’s dress an hour before our event. Even after reporting it, there was no sense of urgency. It took another hour and a half to receive a replacement iron, causing unnecessary stress while we were trying to get ready. Room service was another disappointment. We ordered a single plate of fries, and the total came to $23.33 after an automatic gratuity was added. To make matters worse, the fries arrived cold. Between the poor customer service, misleading booking information, unexpected fees, missing amenities, slow response times, and overpriced, low-quality food, this hotel was nowhere near worth the cost. I would not stay at C. Baldwin Houston again.

Common Extra Charges included Resort and Amenity Fees: Daily mandatory charges ranging from $30 to over $40 that cover items like Wi-Fi or local calls. Parking was a ridiculous $70 a day with no option for self park!! Incidental Deposits: Upfront holds (often $100 or more) placed on your card at check-in for room incidentals. Advance Prepayments: Non-refundable or advance purchase rates that require full charges immediately upon booking rather than at checkout.

Room was pretty great however I kept finding long dark hair in the bed and in the shower. Not sure if it was from a previous visitor but it was a little annoying but not enough to complain about.

Staff were great, very clean, great facilities and overall great stay Nothing

My initial was not cleaned properly so we were assigned another room with no problem. However, that room really wasn’t any cleaner. The couches had stains on them in both rooms and the walls were a little dirty.

This has been my favorite stay at any hotel. The staff is so friendly and helpful. I had no issue getting early check in even though It was around 10am & check in was at 3pm. The staff immediately helped us get our bags up to the room & even kept them locked away for us after check-out so we could explore a bit more before heading to the airport. My favorite thing about my stay was the complimentary transportation within 2 miles. They took us around in a nice, clean Tesla and had us feeling so important lol. I would 100000% stay again!

Stayed here a one night staycation and LOVED it. The room was well decorated, bed was very comfortable, and water pressure in the rainfall shower head amazing. All things I always hope for when staying at a hotel. We received a $20 credit for room service and ordered the margarita pizza and it was genuinely probably the best I’ve ever had (and I’ve had quite a few!). I’ll go back to the restaurant just for the pizza! Highly recommend this hotel and its friendly staff.

Kevin handled my registration the day before with ease and got us set up on a high floor. Renee and Marysol took care of check-in and check-out with so much warmth, friendly jokes and genuine care that immediately made us feel at home. Khalil went above and beyond the entire stay, checking in on us via text, coordinating housekeeping and fulfilling every request including an iron, a fridge and more. He even upgraded us to a suite with a beautiful view. And then there is Joshua. The valet who greeted us with a huge smile and a joke that made us laugh every single day. He helped with our luggage each time without hesitation and brought so much joy to every arrival and departure. The room was stunning, the service was exceptional and every person we encountered made us feel genuinely valued. We will absolutely be back and will be asking for this same team by name.

Fantastic property in downtown Houston. Close to the Museum and Library Districts. Ample and tastefully decorated public areas. Apple and well laid out rooms, although some of the furniture is calling from a little maintenance. Helpful and friendly staff.

BEAUTIFUL HOTEL! I would highly recommend!
- 5/5
Honestly, it didn’t bother me that there wasn’t a pool or extra amenities because that’s not why I booked the stay. I wanted a relaxing, upscale getaway and that’s exactly what I got. I also appreciated having the valet option available because it made everything easier. I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed during my stay, but thankfully I was still able to order food at the bar. The food ended up being really good, the drinks were delicious, and the staff was super friendly. I also loved how quiet the hotel was overall. A few small things I noticed: the bed was a little hard for my liking, the bathroom vent was extremely loud and randomly came on, and I do wish they had hand soap in the restroom. Also, for the price of the hotel, I really feel like they should offer complimentary breakfast. The breakfast was delicious by the way, but $27 for an omelette and bacon is kind of crazy. Overall, this hotel — and pretty much everything around it — is definitely on the expensive side, but if you enjoy staying somewhere nice and treating yourself, it’s absolutely worth it. I would definitely stay here again.
- 3/5
Expedia says they have double king beds… that not true. Parking is $80 a day Came on the weekend and the restaurant was closed all day Sunday and Monday. I called down stairs and they told me it was open stood around for 20 min to find out it was closed. The valet people dropped a pack of cigarettes in my car. If this is supposed to be 5 star they definitely need to turn it up a notch
- 5/5
I loved the room and the view, and the downstairs bar has a nice vibe, really cozy

My stay at the Baldwin was amazing. The staff was very helpful and very professional. It was my wife's birthday and she had recently got a huge promotion at work the staff provided us with a bottle of champagne and a fruit tray. My wife was very very satisfied with everything and she is talking about going back. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Brilliant stay, room was great and clean, love the gym! 🙌
- 4/5
The hotel is in good conditions but the services would be better. Checking was ok, should be better for a 4 stars hotel, no was a hair dryer on the room by mistake and I had to call 3 times to get one after an hour, shower cap was not replaced after first day, rude and poor check out at the front desk. It could be a better hotel customer service
- 5/5
The staff here are so friendly. The room ambient lighting is good
- 5/5
It was great
- 3/5
The room and building was amazing, the staff checking in was not the best. Upon checking in they told us our reservation got cancelled despite having a confirmation email. The staff at the front desk was horrible she did not provide any assistance on getting things sorted out she pretty much told us “ oh well, you’ll have to rebook another room” after speaking with someone else they were able to find out reservation and everything got sorted out.
- 1/5
Management no good they gave me the wrong room from what i booked.
- 3/5
I wish the room had a refrigerator and there was access to a microwave somewhere.
- 5/5
Several nice restaurants within walking distance. Staff was very accommodating. Valet parking had excellent customer service. Khalil at the front desk was amazing and Alex was great too!
- 3/5
I think the hotel was overwhelmed and understaffed when we went. They didn’t have drivers for the car service
- 4/5
Very small room that had an open window to the restroom you couldn’t cover.
- 3/5
It was okay. The common areas were very nice and the food at the bar was good, but our room had a table with only one chair, no robes or slippers, and no lotion. I was surprised as we’ve had very nice stays at Hilton Curio properties before.
- 3/5
Access to fridge, iron and robes. Parking cost excessive and staff wasnt top notch.
- 5/5
My favorite place to stay when I’m in town.
- 4/5
Love their signature scent as you walk into the hotel!
- 1/5
valet was not it they would not find my keys everytime they ended up charging me some fees i was never told about sorry but never again won’t recommend it
- 5/5
One of the hostess’ at the front desk was rude, but I wont discredit the establishment cause of them. The property was small but well put together. Valet was on point. The room was good and the shower was a waterfall shower head (I think thats what its called). The location is perfect if you’re visiting the performance arts area. Easily walkable as I did. All in all it was a good stay.
- 5/5
Everything was amazing as always!
- 4/5
Was a little disappointed to find out Rosalie’s was not open on the weekends as advertised showing open online. Breakfast buffet available for a fee. Shuttle will only drop off 2 mile distance (not even 2.4 miles) and does not pick up. Overall, decent place. No parking on site and must valet. Valet is quite expensive for overnight with not discount for stay
- 3/5
Room was lacking amenities. No refrigerator. No microwave. Bathroom was missing hand soap. Room had a small table for dining but only one chair. Room had a good view and a good location. Overpriced for what is provided.
- 3/5
El hotel en excelentes condiciones y muy agradable. Los detalles que tuve en mi estancia fue que el agua caliente salia muy poco caliente casi tibia y mis dispensadores de jabon y shampoo no tenian líquido y nunca los rellenaron.

- 3/5
Everything was nice I just didn’t like the $23 fee that is tacked on and you HAVE to pay it in either food to the room or you just paying $23 there’s no way around it… also $70 a night for valet parking is RIDICULOUS!!
- 5/5
Clean room
- 5/5
great staff , good dining options .
- 3/5
This has been our 3rd stay here and it was a bit disappointing this time, room lacked cleanliness, check in is 3pm I arrived almost 4pm and room was not ready, bedding had holes and didnt look clean!
- 1/5
As soon as we walked in we knew there was probably going to be trouble as the room already smelled like marijuana, it was dingy, the shower tiles were brown, tape hanging on the wall from a previous party. After getting back from our event, we hadn’t been in the room for more than 20 minutes when the very very strong smell of marijuana came wafting through the adjoining door, it felt like we were in the same room with the neighbors obviously smoking. We tried to call down to the front desk but kept getting a busy signal so we had to walk down and request a new room because there was no way we were gonna be able to spend the night in a room full of marijuana smoke. The front desk gave us a new room, but also asked before they gave us a new room if we just wanted security to come up and just take care of the neighbors. As if that was my problem to deal with? The next room was one level up, miraculously, no adjoining door, much nicer than the one we had been given on the 14th floor, but the shower tire tiles were still brown and room was dingy, paper thin walls, you can hear an entire conversation next door. SMH Not worth the time, aggravation and definitely the price we paid to stay. Next time I’d choose just to stay home.
- 4/5
The room was clean and the staff was excellent. For my taste, the lighting was poor and the shower partition was not wide enough, allowing water to splatter onto the bathroom floor.
- 1/5
The worst stay ever! The cleanning staff never showed up, we had to change rooms as the room service wouldnt even pick up trays from the night before. They even charge a luxury property fee that is ridiculous as they cant even change towels or pick up food trays.
- 1/5
Horrible
- 3/5
Although I truly appreciate an updated hotel room. The cost/fees for this hotel is overly priced. I stayed in a single bed room with no way to warm up food nor a table to sit at to eat take out food. My last morning shower was lukewarm & I checked out 2hrs early. The hotels website needs to be updated as it shares the hotel has airport shuttle and Italian restaurant. I contacted the front desk who shared the shuffle only travel up to 2mile radius & the restaurant has breakfast, another has take to go. I asked if the front desk could transfer me to the restaurant for more information & they were unable to do so then advice I walk in. Wow
- 1/5
Staff was short handed, people next door having a normal conversation was heard thru the walls, the high floor view was a parking garage, and the sofa had white “stains”.
- 4/5
Staff was great. The room could use a few upgrades like a desk and microwave. Spent way too much money not to have those. Also would recommend something different for the shower instead of the half shower glass.
- 5/5
Always a great time at the C. Baldwin and we plan on going back!
- 5/5
The best hotel in Houston!
- 2/5
The first room smelled of cigarette smoke even though this is a no smoking hotel. I was moved to a second room that was very dusty. There was also the smell of marijuana in the elevator. Valet parking is $67.00! It is walkable and there a great restaurant around the corner called Guard and Grace. The food and service was top notch!
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel, decor was nice and the people were friendly.
- 1/5
The front desk lady was not helpful. She seemed to have an attitude. The shower water kept running after attempting to turn it off multiple times. Valet never had the vehicle ready every time we called ahead of time. We asked for a corner upper room before booking, was promised one and when we checked in we were told that they were sold out. I’m highly disappointed.

The lobby bar bartender was great, the room was clean, but the walls are paper thin! I could hear every word that was said on both sides of my room. Front desk staff was friendly at first, but then they had a shift change and they were not friendly at all.

We love Hotels with ceiling to floor windows. The Windows did not give us clear views which defeats the purpose. It needs to be cleaned. But the Overall hotel is clean and smells really nice. Please clean the windows for a better view.

Everything was great other than no real refrigerator or microwave in the rooms , i enjoyed my stay

Had a box delivered days before arrived with confirmation of delivery and confirmation of who signed and where it was delivered. This was a needed delivery for my business trip. 3 different people, managers included could not locate the box. We even left our contact info for them to email me if it was found. When we checked out, it was magically waiting behind the desk but by this time, it was useless to us as my meetings had ended. Only Toya was helpful, noticed the box and was willing to go out of her way to accommodate us. They charge $20/day that must be spent or charged otherwise. Their restaurant was only open for breakfast and lunch but not dinner. The bar was available but freezing cold. They charged $5 for a self serve coffee machine but never had any cream. I usually don’t write reviews and especially not negative ones but when paying this type of money to stay at a curio hotel, you’d expect a lot more professionalism and customer service.
- 2/5
Him - No refrigerator. No ice bucket. No closet. No soap dish. Bathroom with its plate glass window facing the room was designed for exhibitionist. One small bar of soap and one bottle of water provided in a king room for 2 days. Not enough towels provided. Trash was never emptied; it was overflowing by time we left. Toiler seat was loose almost causing injury. Paper thin walls meant we heard conversations from both adjacent neighbors. Front desk staff was surly to the point of being rude. Their motto is to be a Rule Breaker. Well, they broke a rule to treat their guests decently. We'll never stay there again!
- 2/5
No customer service. No amenities. Nowhere to buy convenience items
- 5/5
I loved the shuttle/
- 5/5
This is the second time I’ve stayed here and I highly recommend. The staff is wonderful, easy check in, great location, and safe area.
- 3/5
Was expecting more since it’s a “collection” hotel. Shower is not comfortable with half of it being open air and no door. Had to request services several times. Lights above bed did not work.
- 1/5
$20/night for the wifi is so ridiculous!
- 5/5
Gorgeous hotel and great staff!
- 5/5
Great!
- 2/5
the bathroom sink and the shower didnt drain properly so I was always standing in a pool of water. The motion sensor lights which I was unable to shut off kept going off in the middle of the night waking us up every night we stayed there. As well as my rooms cleanliness was sub par - lots of dust and oily finger prints on the door.
- 4/5
The establishment was very modern and appealing. It was just unfortunate the customer service didn't translate as well. The complimentary car service was amazing and their customer service definitely stood out in comparison to the people in the hotel.
