The hotel is easy to get to just off the US290. There are plenty of free parking spaces at the hotel. There are numerous restaurants close to the hotel. Breakfast was good with the usual choice of cereals and hot food. The hotel reception was very nice and there are laundry facilities at the hotel. The room was good with comfortable beds, good TV and speedy free wi-fi. The room included a fridge and microwave. A good hotel which I would recommend.

Beeakfast was trash everything else 10/10

The room was fine for what it was needed for, but it was inconvenient that the water in the bathroom sink didn’t drain properly and there was no water pressure in the shower. Those things could definitely be improved. We didn’t get to use the pool but it looked clean. We only got to see the manager because of our anrrival annd departure times and he was very friendly.

I have NEVER had to change hotel rooms before. The room was also more humid than outside. The fact I paid to stay there, makes me sick!

For the price it was pretty good. Gas station right next to it was super convenient. Nice few nights, the lady at the front desk was rly nice too.

We arrived we could not check in power went out and the internet was out they said we would have to wait until it was back up they then said we can take you to your room but can’t give you a key we will let you in and out by the time he said that an alert for my card went off saying I been charged by then so my thought ooh internet back up I go back down try to check in they said it’s still down I been charge but have no room key I said we are going to go grab food and we will be back they said ok we were gone about an hour came back they gave me 1 room key said internet still down I can do paperwork at breakfast so we said okay went to the room got ready for bed pull cover back on the need there is mold on the Balch spring cover I looked around the room Found more mold open outlet and dirty curtains ect by that time we drove 300 miles we are tired and hungry and sleepy I told them about asked them could that refund me they said no because I booked through a 3rd party! It’s unacceptable I want a full refund!

The place was very quiet and quaint. Staff was very kind and helpful. Breakfast was offered every morning. However, there weren't that many different options, but the food was filling. The omelettes and sausages were very delicious! Laundry is not complimentary, you have to pay $2 (in quarters) each for the washer and the dryer. There are only one of each on the property, but they were rarely used, so no issues finding a time to use them. The pool was often empty, but we only used it once because it was kind of dirty. Also, no towels are provided at the pool, so make sure to take your own, and you must ask staff to let you into the pool area because it stays locked. The beds are not firm and our sheets had some stains on them. The carpet in our room was missing a chunk. The fridge and microwave looked old. Also, online I reserved a room with a sofa bed, but there were no sofa beds. The place is in need of many renovations. Overall, the place is nice and quiet, but I would probably not choose to stay here again.

I arrived on the property around 12:30pm and asked for early check in. I was asked to pay a fee or wait till 3 so I decided to wait. At 3:05pm they said that my room wasn’t ready and I should wait 20 minutes. No problem but 20 minutes turned to an hour, an hour into 2 hours, and then into 3 hours. In between they kept checking other guests in btw. The staff was extremely unprofessional and I even asked for a refund so I can go get somewhere else and they said no. I was checked in around 6:40 pm after I was there since 12:30pm. The room was stinky and the bathroom smelled like there was an issue with the sewage or something. I was so irritated and they said they were overbooked so I couldn’t change my room. I ended up sleeping somewhere else so I just wasted my money!! NEVER BOOKING HERE AGAIN!

A good deal for one night. The a/c only got cool when it was set to 60, and the only the volume button worked on the remote control. If it was more than one night, I would have complained.

Clean but beds need upgrade

Stay was ok. When we arrived the hotel was very hot! Houston is already super humid!! The guy at the desk was VERY RUDE! Not welcoming at all! The lady in the morning was very nice on the other hand.

The stay was good. We weren't at the hotel much. It was a good stay. The staff I worked with was friendly, the room was good and it was easy to get to from the highway.

Good stay, when we arrived you could tell someone had smoked in our room but it was not that bad. We called the front desk and they immediately came up and sprayed our room. The receptionist was very nice and helpful. The property was nice and looked to be taken care of. The pool was nice but hot tub was only Luke warm, but it was June. Breakfast was good and the property felt safe. I would not have any issues staying here again.

Manage your expectations. It’s clean enough. It’s comfortable enough. It is not nice, but it’s also not expensive.

Best Western had all the necessary amenities I needed & was in a very convenient location. The front desk staff were very helpful when I had technical difficulties with the TV and the maids were so friendly! Thank you guys!!

The toilet was having major issues flushing, even with just water in it. We had to use a plunger every time we used it to keep it from overflowing. There was a plunger in the bathroom so I got the feeling that management was aware of the issue before we got there. We reported it when we left because I don't think a hotel should put customers in a room that has that kind of issue until it has been properly fixed. To pay over $100 for one night and have to plunge a toilet every time it is used is not ok.

Convenient location

The hotel is convenient for this part of Houston and the room is pleasant.

This hotel is excellent! I was here for the AFROTECH 24 conference and I really enjoyed my stay. The rooms are luxurious and have all the amenities. Ubers are easily available.

My stay was good until I could hear a dog barking(in the hotel) during the morning. Also, the toilet would run after flushing but overall a good stay.

We had no water forv2 hoursvwhen we checked in. And false advertising the hot tub dorsnt work and hasnt been working in a long time. Mildew dmell when you walk through door. Toliet not cleaned this is on check in. Hotel room doesnt work to even call front desk.

I was not able to check in due to the hotel being over sold. The front desk staff are extremely rude and act as if they do not comprehend basic English. The staff is extremely confrontational and simply rude.

The hotel was okay…standard fare, except for the shower. Despite a notice instructing guests how to use the shower, ours did not work. The setup was totally different than the instructions and water barely came out as a dribble. Unfortunately, we didn’t discover it till the morning when it was too late to do anything about it.

The first room smelled of mold and the carpet by the exterior wall was wet. The staff moved us into the room across the hall.

The elevator doors got stuck a couple of times but no one panicked !! We were in the room when a storm rolled in so the electricity went out so all was good.

I really wanted to like this place, and plan to return next year. Everything was nice and clean, but the bed was pretty uncomfortable, with a hole in the middle. So, with these two problems, we are unlikely to return.

Respectful staff, decent breakfast, clean rooms and everything was working in the room.

Mysterious Blue and red stains on my sheets when I checked in. They changed my room to a different floor but the bed still made funky noises. The floors would also creek. The hallways smelled like a Las Vegas casino (weed and cigarettes). The breakfast was not great. It tasted like county hospital food with no taste . Probably wouldn’t stay here again.

Gave me a key to an occupied room. Asked for late check out and they forgot. Breakfast eggs were terrible. Beds are not very comfortable.

There was no staff in the hotel AT ALL for check in. Just a note saying the person had to leave and would be back soon. One lady waited 1 and half hours and I was approaching 1 hour to check in until she came back. No other management or staff on site. That's ridiculous and like the other lady said what if there was an emergency, fire, theft etc. My shower also didn't work but I didn't know until 1 hour before checkout. I've never seen this in my life.

They have nothing to drink for breakfast the water pressure is horrible takes a hour to get wet and the toilets dont flush good also the 1st floor was flooded with water not sure where it came from and now it smells like mildew

Comfortable room & the staff was friendly & welcoming. Very convenient location.

Had no hot water. Zero water pressure. Lost electric in just our room 2 times. One time for 2 hours and had to sit in the complete dark and another time for 5 hours. Asked to switch rooms and was told no. Then called hotels.com for a refund and it’s been over a week and still haven’t heard back.

Breakfast was under supplied (no eggs or potatoes left around 730 am) and the water pressure in the shower was nonexistent.

All was good but the upkeep could be improved. The bathroom fan was in desperate need of some oil or replacement. The rattle was pretty loud. And the coffee machine in the room seemed to be broken. Otherwise the hotel was nice and clean, staff was nice, and the breakfast offered sufficient options.

I had a room right by the elevator. Right when you get into Third floor the Marijuana hits you. Location looks like it’s an area that you don’t even want to keep your car parked outside. It was already paid for. We were staying literally overnight to sleep after being at the hospital all day. With Four hours of driving we dealt with it. Cold eggs and cold muffins. Had to ask for a plate. No knives. I never want to go back. I’ll sleep in my car in a parking lot before. Also, paid for a room with a sofa bed and we were told they don’t supply bedding for the sofa bed. So my question why rent a room with a bed with no sheets and pillowcases?

We liked how clean the hotel and our room was. Everything worked inside the room.

We checked in and the room looked like somebody had already been in there. Towels were used, soaps opened, and a bottle of eaten sunflower seeds sat on the night stand. We went down to the front desk and were told that was the only room left. Staff eventually picked up the mess and brought us new towels but this shouldn't have occurred to begin with.

NO AIR-CONDITIONER WORKING in Room 224. We (3 Women) were forced to sleep in a HOT room "224" because they had no more rooms available to move us into a room with a working in Air-Conditioner. From Saturday 11:50pm to Monday 8am management chose to not trouble-shoot the urgent situation rather give me the run-around that the manager will call me :( Going on 3 days and NO PHONE CALL from the Best Western Manager!

I had a reservation but when I arrived at the hotel it had been turned into a homeless shelter. No paying guests were being accepted. This left me scrambling to find another hotel. Very bad experience. Lack of communication between the hotel and Expedia.

They got leased out 2 weeks before our arrival, no email or heads up, about they weren't a hotel anymore.

I didn't like the fact that the bed and sheets had blood on them.I like that it had a pool and the fitness room.

The interior design of the building

The property was about what we expected for the price. The fixtures are a little dated, more modern ones have usb ports in the lamps. We briefly used the pool, it could have used some maintenance. Overall it seemed that they had enough staff. The room and bathroom were clean and the hotel overall as well. At one time this was probably a very nice hotel. I would stay here again if I were in Houston, and as usual, on a budget.
