Best Western Plus Heritage Inn

Had to pay $100 incidental refundable fee at check in. Otherwise great location (about 20 min from UH), clean room with cold AC. Breakfast was also very filling.

I reserved a room with 2 beds, as there 3 adults, was given a room with 1 king bed 1 sofa bed. Was told could not change room, hotel full. Ok got bedding for sofa bed. It was the absolutely the worst sofa bed I've ever came across!! Useless! My adult son had to sleep on the floor! The sofa to small for adult to sleep on. He was miserable. If you advertise a sofa bed, then provide one thats useable! But, you get what you pay for. We've been using this hotel for 15 yrs, 2nd worst visit ever. Good bye Best Western Heritage, me and my money are moving on.

The rooms are clean, staffs great, good quality food and for a reasonable price. Have microwave and refrigerator with good quality than just for name sake. Definitely this place would be first option for any trips to Houston in the future. Thank you for your service.

An employee named Cherish rudely told us that the lobby was closed and that we had to leave. I have stayed at many hotels and have never experienced a lobby "closing" at 11:00 p.m., especially when it's meant for hotel guests. What made the situation even more frustrating was that while she was asking us to leave, she was sitting on her phone watching a show. The next morning, I spoke with the front desk about what happened. I was told that the lobby never closes and that we should have been allowed to stay there as long as we wanted. That confirmed that we were wrongly asked to leave. It was disappointing to be treated that way during our stay. A simple misunderstanding could have been handled politely, but instead we were made to feel unwelcome. I hope management addresses this with their staff so future guests are treated with the respect and courtesy they deserve.

The property is a little outdated but overall nice. I would stay again.

Paint peeling on the walls. The room had a very musty smell not clean fresh. The beds are wore out . I would not stay there again in the future.

Your morning desk attendant Ava (Gonzalez?) was very rude to my guest prior to contacting me in my room upon her arrival. Ava conducted herself more like a border patrol agent demanding ID than a customer service representative. I am sure I am not the only guest to have had a negative experience at the hands of Ava. Please consider a replacement or additional training. Thank you.

Didn’t feel safe. Check in lady was rude. The hotel smelled musty like it had been flooded and not properly cleaned. The rooms smelled so bad.

Clean rooms, excellent breakfast, clean pool that is safe for littles.

Breakfast was standard but the room was spacious and didn't feel like we were packed in with other guests. Everything was clean and in working order. The snack selection at the desk was great. Felt very comfortable during our stay here. Bathroom vanity was small and there wasn't enough space to place my toiletry or make up bag. Floors were cold. All very small potato problems.

Nothing The room smelled like mold the floors were dirty. The bathroom was dirty. I checked in and checked out immediately. I did not spend the night there, and I was told that because I had checked in that they would have to check me out the next day just so I don’t get my money back.

Terrible service

Very easy check in and extremely comfortable rooms. Be aware of the deposit fee, and the first night fee that has to get taken out of your card before you check in. The app didn’t clarify but one phone call fixed everything due to the staff being very informational and attentive. We came to stay during our convention and although it was 15 minutes away from the convention center. We saved a good amount of money for our four day stay! And the breakfast was superb. Waffle maker and different protein each day as well as eggs being prepped differently. We will be booking again next year!!

Had a pool and gym. I had four roaches in my hotel room, location seemed unsafe.

The breakfast was okay, loved the infused water! I hate that we found a dead roach under the bed, there was stain on the curtain, & the light in the hallway didn’t work.

We stayed during the World Cup for 2026 in late June. We were traveling with our baby and they were able to give us a free crib to set up in our room. Had BUGS!!!! We were enjoying our stay for the most part. Although the elevators were a bit sketchy and made a bunch of noise going up and down overall it was fine till we saw 3 different bugs!!! We noticed a small one in our daughter stroller on the bottoms and first assumed/hoped it was from us taking outside and inside during the trip. However on our last night there we saw another small bug same one and a huge one my boyfriend killed in the bathroom. It was terrifying. At that point it was 12am the early morning of our check out and our baby and my mom were sleeping but my boyfriend and I went straight down to the front desk and showed the picture we took of it dead. The front desk lady was kind but verbatim said “oh yeah I know what that is, I’m so sorry. I’ll give you an email you can send the picture to and a manager will reach out to you tomorrow morning”. The next morning at 8am after a long night of tossing and turning we didn’t get any email so we followed up with another front desk lady and she said she’ll try to contact the manager for us and asked up if we wanted a room change we opted out of that because our check out was literally in 3 hrs at 11am and we needed to go through every bag and shake out clothes to make sure we didn’t have any bugs coming back with us (mind you our flight wasn’t until 10pm that night and we were planning on paying for a late checkout but preferred leaving with all of our suitcases and baby stuff rather than stay there) This is when we also got the General Mangers card Jen to contact regarding our issue. The front desk lady did call and say there wasn’t gonna be a manager in that day and we should really email the GM to discuss the issue. Well… once I explained everything to Jen she responded “because an immediate resolution was offered via an alternative room..which i understand was declined we are unable to to provide further compensation” which obviously from what i explained was not the case!!

People were nice Rooms appeared clean but smelled like cheap chemicals. Felt damp in the room and just didn’t feel clean.

The room was clean and well maintained. The hotel was conveniently located close to the highway.

I made reservations to stay over the 4th of July holiday in which I arrived to the room and got checked in, took up my belongings and the room came with an refrigerator and microwave so I went to store immediately to buy some waters to put in it since it was super hot out, needed to stay hydrated. Unfortunately I came back with my waters and act to put the in there and I was surprised by a team of roaches climbing over the Lil stuff out the car i was snacking and drinking on that i had already placed in the refrigerator!!!! There was nothing left to do but check out immediately so I we t to front desk and told them (WHAT THEY ALREADY KNEW) that the room was infested with roaches , Emily came to check it out and promptly got me checked out and refunded! It was still all bad with Fifa going on in Houston i had to make emergency accommodations on the other side of Houston luckily and got a decent room without roaches! Never stay here and if you do be prepared to take company home with you.

I didn't like it the customer services, they do not taking care of you good, even though I forgot it my phone in the desk, just they laughed, you can check it the camera

We stayed in Houston for a couple of days and this was a good hotel to stay in! The rooms are clean and well maintained. The pool is a nice add for those with families in the summer heat and breakfast was good! There’s also a gym though we didn’t use it. We did feel like the AC was a bit stuffy but otherwise it worked well. This is a good stay for families on a road trip or stopping in Houston for a few days or a week or so!

I waited at the front desk for a long time. Rang the bell three times and it was useless. My family and I were in a rush to check in in order to make it to a graduation on time and the staff had zero urgency to check me in. Once the two staff came to the front desk, it seemed like there was training going on, which is understandable but the individual that was experienced, started grabbing mail to look at and handle, so I told her I needed to get checked in first, before she continued to ignore me.

The hotel was clean. Some of the staff were good but the lady that worked the morning of May 8, I believe her name was Anna, was very rude and she lied to us. Saying that we could not have guest visit us in the room. Which made my mother, who usually has a walker, but only brought her cane because we had her scooter, and depends on oxygen to breath, have to try and walk to the lobby to get the keys to her scooter that my sister brought from Dallas for her. I had left and went to the store and wasn’t there to go get them myself. I asked the next person on staff was that the hotel policy, because that’s what we were told, he said no. Smh.. I really would have hated if my mother would have fell trying to walk to that lobby alone.

Property is nice and very clean. Staff was polite, had to go to the counter twice due to key cards stop working, but they fixed it quickly. Breakfast is the usual, eggs, sausage, potatoes, cereal, yogurt, waffles, bread coffee and juices but all is well made and fresh. Pool seemed good and clean, but I never used it. Parking is good. Room and bathroom are good size. Location is good with a variety of restaurants nearby. The bathroom exhaust doesn’t work properly. Every time we took a hot shower the room became really humid, I had to keep the A/C at 60 not to feel the humidity. Not all the rooms are like that since I booked another room for my mom and nephew and theirs felt really nice so it was just mine (310) Other than that our stay was excellent

2nd time at this hotel and it was a really good experience. The only thing what was concerning was the elevator making weird noises and shutting down once while we were there. Besides that, a really great experience!

Musty smell in the room, bed wasn’t very comfortable. Everything else was average for a hotel room.

Good location and clean and the staff were great. Easy parking and safe. Restaurant next door and you can easily walk to other restaurants.

Clean rooms at a good price. Breakfast was well done. Issues with the elevator, but that was because of the kids, as was the constant noise and loud stomping sounds at all hours. Would still recommend as the best option in the area.

The breakfast was fresh, heating and air was convenient to my comfort either if I was hot or cold.. Room and bathroom was clean upon entering.

The employees are so very nice. The bathroom and bed were clean. The only negative thing I have to say is upon check in we had to sign a non-smoking agreement which was fine neither of us smoke. When we entered the elevator to go to our room, it reeked of Marijuana! The hallway onbrhe 2nd floor also smelled like that. The next morning when I got into the elevator, I got stuck in it. The door would not open and the elevator would not move. Luckily I had my phone with me and I was able to call the front desk. They shut all of the power off leaving me in the dark elevator. Eventually the power did come back on and the door opened.

My room was pretty dirty; toothpaste splashes on the sink and hair on the floor and some left over pokémon cards behind the nightstand and crusty leftover food on the dresser. the staff was super nice and friendly. breakfast was ok.

Great overall, everything was nice, tidy, clean, and well taken care of but far from city center.

However, the elevator is honestly a nightmare. I feared I would get stuck in it each time, I really suggest it gets checked. Couldn’t find a plaque card stating the last time it even serviced but by the noises it made I would guess it had been a while. Overall if I ever find myself in Houston again I would be open to booking another stay here. (Cannot comment on amenities or breakfast as I did not partake)

Seems like an exceptionally good value. Room was nice and looked recently remodeled. Bed was comfortable. Lobby was also clean and fresh looking. Breakfast was exceptional. The gated parking was an added, plus. I will definitely stay here again.

Breakfast was just okay, saw 4 bugs in the room between 1/17-1/18 near the restroom and door. Was stuck on the elevator w/my daughter luckily, I had my cell because I had to call the front desk, she was panicking and crying. They had to reset the elevator in order to get us out.

Was told the elevator just went down that morning and I was on 2nd floor because there are no rooms with a king bed on first floor. I got bad knees and need one knee replacement so I was upset and to make things worse I read reviews and the elevator has been down for a while not just that morning so I was not told the truth. The place is nice though.

Second time staying at this hotel. Everyone is always nice. Special shoutout to the lady that worked overnight on Saturday. She was very kind and friendly.

Beds were low and very uncomfortable. Nice shower. Upstairs thumping noise continued all night and kept us from sleeping. Sounded like more than walking around. Very annoying.

The reviews of the staff are absolutely correct!! Staff don’t like working there and this place is very unsafe!! She asked if I was traveling alone and immediately gave a look to someone else who was in the lobby about me being alone. Who for sure don’t work there. Totally scheming. She put me in a very unsafe position and I urge everyone to not book here if you’re alone.

The room was in good condition, however it smelled like a combination of stale cigarette smoke and mold. The scent was amplified when the AC/heating unit in the room was on. I had to turn it off just so that I was smelling less of that odour.

Customer service, cleanliness and breakfast variety

Had a great time, while travelling to Houston. The hotel stay was very pleasant. The breakfast was delicious. The location was very convenient, with access to great dining places, attractions and such. The check-in was a bit extended, however, the rest of the stay was great!

We stayed here for 5 days, and overall, the service was great, the girl who worked there late at night was always super nice to us every time we’d see her. Our room was pretty good, there were a few issues with the bathroom door not being able to close all the way, and a few light issues. The environment around the hotel was honestly a little sketchy, with police showing up to just stay around the hotel one day, but besides all of that, we really enjoyed our stay!

The bathroom was dated, no shampoo dispenser, lotion, etc, we been to other hotels lately and they all had more modern bathrooms with shampoo, conditioner dispensers, hand soap and lotion as well. The pillows were small, they looked more like sofa cushions. Breakfast was not good at all, not enough variety. Private and safe parking, place was very peaceful.

The rug still had dirt on it, but the rest of the room was clean. Staff was friendly and the area was quiet.
