Walls are crumbling, there is mold on walls and a cockroach ran out in front of us in the hallway as we were going to check out.
- 3/5
Hotel is old and needs updating
- 1/5
This hotel is a "one star out of 10 stars", and it certainly does not deserve to have the name, "Wyndham", in its name. This hotel is dirty, run-down, etc. I will never return to this hotel. I took photos of the holes in the walls, the tears in the lamp shades, and the insects that were running around the top of the night stand.
- 1/5
ROACHES!! Mold in the air conditioner, filthy carpets, and crust in the shower heads!!!
- 2/5
Don't let the pictures trick you, they must be frim when the place opened cause like the picture make a look like a humble but still fresh experience. But its actually so outdated and the place smells damp and almost moldy like when you haven't cleaned the fridge in a while. There ia only one wlevayor and it was broken. The ac took forever to kick in and weren't consistent. The shower floor had some kind of vinyl piece glued in the tub and it kept getting filled with water. Overall the place seemed to be falling apart. The staff was friendly and helpful, honestly if your just planning to sleep and shower and spend the rest of your time out on the streets its not a bad option but if you wanna chill and relax at the hotel its not the best
- 5/5
Very clean, very friendly staff, AC worked great!
- 2/5
The property needed a lot of repair. The bed was in very bad shape. It did not reflect the Wyndham reputation. We will not return to this place.
- 5/5
Was good stay for the price cant complained stayed in much worse places for more expensive stay. Hope they get the elevator working
- 1/5
To another property and they couldn’t help me either. The 800 reservation number couldn’t get in touch with them with the phone number that is listed.
- 5/5
For the price it was worth it cant complain my wife and i sleep very well the cleaning lady great seevice cer helpful and kind
- 5/5
Slow checking in
- 2/5
The King bed, mini fridge, bathroom, and total price was nice, but there was a dead roach in my room upon arrival. I would have given the place 4 or 5 stars based on the king bed and price alone, but the manager started harassing my wife in the lobby while we were waiting for our Uber to the airport at 4am. The lady claiming to be the manager literally called the police on my wife because she was waiting in the lobby for an Uber to pick her up!
- 1/5
The room was musty and I saw a couple of roaches in the room. The elevator and ice machine did not work. My card deactivated every time I left the room so I’d keep having to go back to the counter. The location is horrible as it is right as you get off the highway so it is easy to pass up and you can’t turn around. I would never recommend this place. I would give it 0 stars if I could.
- 3/5
Old smell damp in the room
- 1/5
Do not stay here! I felt unsafe from the moment I pulled up to the Baymont. Staff were unprofessional. Room smelt like mold. I asked for a new room because the smell was so strong and I could see black mold all over the new room I was moved to. I thought I could make do for 1 night but after 1 hour of being in the room I felt sick and got up left and booked elsewhere.
- 3/5
Property looks nice from the outside to the front desk. After that, it's another story..... Very very old and outdated. Carpet had a funky smell. Elevator dis not work. Had to take the stairs with 3 luggage bags. Gave me a smoking room because all non smoking was taken. The room had a very strong cigarette smell. Walls where yellow due to smoking. A lot of wear and tear on furniture and lamps. Lamps where yellow as well. Carpet was torn and dirty. Roaches coming from behind the bed. Bed was soft. That's about it.....
- 3/5
Photos are very misleading. The hotel is no where near as nice as shown
- 5/5
Fair price nice amenities
- 1/5
The property looks nice when you first get there. It smells really bad and it also had me concerned for our safety being that the side door just opens regardless if you use the key card. The elevator was broken and our room was all the way on the other side of the hotel extremely far away from the stairs. Surprisingly they had no bed bugs but they did have roaches. ALOT of roaches. I personally will NEVER stay at this hotel location ever again.
- 1/5
So dirty we didn’t stay. The staff tried to upgrade us to a suit but it was worse than the standard room.
- 2/5
Very old, not well maintained
- 1/5
ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE, DIRTY, EVERYTHING OUT OF SERVICE, MOLD IN ROOMS
- 1/5
There was a cockroach in the bathroom
- 1/5
Do not stay here. This place should be shut down. Unsanitary and nothing works- including staff. I didn't even stay a full night. I had to check out and find another hotel. This place has pests! Do NOT book this hotel.
- 2/5
Location is good,
- 1/5
Dirty, unprofessional, lazy staff, smells like cigarettes throughout the whole hotel. They charge you $60 for incidentals, like you could possibly damage a place that is already damaged. (Which they fraudulently keep by the way) The hotel elevator doesn’t work and has not worked in two years. So if you get put on the second floor, you will have to bring your luggage upstairs. Which they don’t tell you this until you ask. This place should be shut down!
- 5/5
Very nice place
- 5/5
Everything was good 👍 stay, breakfast, staff 😋 😊 😀 👌
- 1/5
I will never book again. I’ve stayed at Baymounts previously and they were great. This one needs to be shut down
- 2/5
I would advise no one to stay there. It’s not convenient for you. They don’t help you with anything and no one is there.
- 2/5
Loose door knobs, black mold around windows
- 5/5
It's just fine. I've stayed here before. Haven't had really any of the problems that I see in there some of the reviews. Usually I would blame that on the maid who didn't clean the room so I would continue to stay here. I like the balcony rooms in the fresh air, and definitely a value when you're laying over a flight for 12 hours no one wants to spend $300 for a hotel room
- 1/5
absolutely horrible. there was roaches in my room. There was a couple fighting in the hallway at night.
- 1/5
Todo mal nada k ver con lo k díse ahí huelen feo los cuartos ay muchas cucarachas no lo recomiendo para nada
- 1/5
The room had a strong odor of cigarettes, spilled food and drinks, and sweat. In addition, the stained rug badly needed an industrial cleaning. Plus, the toilet would not flush at all. Because of this latter issue, I asked for a different room, but the desk clerk said no other room was available. The clerk suggested I use the bathroom in the lobby. Lastly, the shower was old and had not been properly cleaned. The shower head barely spit out any water at all. I would guess that this room was nice 30 or 40 years ago, but to me it appeared to have been badly neglected for many years.

I did not stay here but I’ve had to pay for it. I am not certain if this place is even operating because there is no way to contact them. The hotel advertises airport shuttle which happened to be priority upon selecting this place and this is how I learned the hard way there is no way to reach them. Hotels.com also made effort to contact this property and were unable. I requested a refund since I could not use their advertised accommodations but am not eligible because the property manager has declined (as in not available / unreachable to authorize the refund). I made effort to contact a main line upon web search, too. This resulted in being told I need to contact the property directly and being transferred to an automated recording that says the same thing. As a result of the property being unavailable, and being stuck in an airport after a cancelled flight, I been “scammed” by this hotel because I cannot get my money back. Edit: My reviews keep being rejected for including “personal” information therefore I am not able to include the receipts, call logs, or other proof of this occurrence.
- 1/5
Will not stay here again
- 1/5
I then booked an Uber another $26. Lo and behold this morning at 11 a shuttle was there. Do NOT book this hotel the rooms smell and things are falling apart.
- 2/5
The lock to our room didn’t work. The room smelt of mold and actually had visible mold on the ceiling. However the staff were pleasant and good to deal with.
- 3/5
The room, although I believe it was one was updated, still needs some work. The phone in the room didn't work, the lock on the door was broken, the hair dryer was also broken as was the elevator and the side entrance didn't lock. I didn't try the breakfast that was available but heard it was meager. The room was clean and smelled good. Other rooms were being worked on and the hallways were dirty. The place has great potential but still needs some work. I would suggest that a manager walk through the rooms and check to see if things are in working order.

Awful
- 1/5
This hotel was absolutely disgusting. We got to the hotel at 1:45. Before we could even talk to anyone, the lady at the front desk said “check in is at 3.” No problem, we sat in the lobby to wait for our hotel. While waiting, we saw at least two crackheads roaming the hotel. While waiting, my son needed to use the bathroom. We were told both bathrooms were out of order. At 2:30, i went To the desk to ask if our room was close to being ready. She told me she didn’t know when my room would be ready or if it would even be ready at 3. We finally got our room around 3. The room was so disgusting & dirty. The website states there’s a free shuttle to and from the airport. Shuttle never came. False advertisement. Ice machine & elevator have been broken for over a year. Please avoid this hotel at all costs. Absolutely awful.
- 2/5
Old and very worn
- 1/5
Place stunk. The staff pretended they had no idea.
- 1/5
Pictures on the website are fake. This is a smelly run down old mold infested hotel. Should be condemned. We did not stay we turned in keys immediately and booked a room elsewhere. Wasted our money on a non-refundable booking. NEVER AGAIN!!!! BEWARE OF FALSE INTERNET PICTURES POSTED FOR HOUSTON HOTELS!
- 1/5
I attempted to contact property to get picked up by shuttle at airport and the calls were not going thru. So I took Lyft to hotel and the front doors were locked and signed said that the hotel is closed
- 1/5
This hotel allowed bookings to proceed through Expedia when they knowingly did not have power following Hurricane Beryl. I did not stay at this hotel at all and they refused to refund my money despite having NO POWER at the hotel. THIEVES.
- 1/5
I booked last minute before my trip and didn’t bother checking the reviews. The reviews are always right. This place is filthy smelling and so dirty the carpet smells so damp. I didn’t see all this cause the lobby area was a bit dark and only thing light up was the counter check in area. I checked in and paid my feed, I decided to take the stairs since it’s on the second floor they put me in. Upon clicking the stairs all I could smell was mold damp wet floors, I entered my room which was few doors down, I closed the door and the back of the door latch to keep it safe was missing, bed looked like someone just laid on it, bathroom shower rod was already coming off the wall, all I know was I left immediately and checked out and requested a refund till today I never got my money back. The place need to be closed down it’s not even say if I can’t park out front of the hotel it has to be in a locked up lot. I have pictures and videos this place is a STAR -10000000
- 1/5
This was a terrible facility once upon arriving. Not only was the lobby unclean/dirty but there was no staff attending any of the guest for the hour we waited. On top of that, the location is not the most pleasant. I immediately left to another option afterwards, I do not recommend for any family friendly convenience.
- 1/5
This was the worst stay would not recommend to stay at the Baymount location ever no elevator no A/c in the room and no phone I had to walk down stairs and tell the front desk guy name is Alex he didn’t not believe me went and checked the room and oh yeah not a good room and we all out of rooms also ice machine was out also not working and we were out out of our destination since we where moved towards the airport! And the whole hallway smelled of marijuana.
- 4/5
Besides the property needs some upgrades and bug spray because they do have roaches here and there. The staff was pretty nice and it was pretty quiet.
- 1/5
This hotel was gross! Needed a quick hotel very few options available. Wouldn’t go back if they let me stay for free!! Do not stay here!
- 1/5
Very dirty
- 3/5
Overall it was okay. But every morning during my stay I would get locked out of room and had to get reactivated everyday. That was time consuming. Also they had just experienced flooding but were still booking the rooms that had flooding so the mildew smell was bad along with wet carpet and roaches.

The staff are really nice.
- 1/5
Arrived at 0009. Received my room Key at 0100. Very dirty hallway carpet..No working elevator, receptionist said its been out for 10 years??Is there no oversite..
- 2/5
The room had a terrible old wet smell to it. The beds were uncomfortable and kind of small and not enough pillows. The overall condition of the building was pretty bad and the only ice machine they have wasn't working. Only good thing I can say was that the people working in the front desk had great customer service and knew how to communicate very well. But just the conditions of the hotel overall were worse than I expected and the smell of the room was overwhelming and unpleasant.
- 1/5
The room was so dirty and there was cockroaches in bed. So ugh the ceilings had mold I took pictures and everything. Only reason we stayed was because we needed a place to stay because of the tornado we had in Houston on Thursday evening we haven’t had light since then and we finally decided to get a room because of this heat. What we go to was not worth it at all. Ac works really good though but other than that I won’t be going anytime soon.
- 4/5
My stay was ok. The elevator did not work. I hate stairs. Breakfast was very limited.
- 2/5
Nothing
- 1/5
This place is completely run down and just a dump. Front desk greeted me with “what do you want” like I was inconveniencing her. The room had flies in it and there was a clump of hair tangled up in the phone cord. Pictures of the room I thought I was getting is apparently from 3 yrs ago when it was OYO. I immediately checked out and was told sorry no refund. Absolute trash of a place to stay and hotels.com should not allow them to book rooms through them.
- 5/5
La atención de Josh fue excelente.

Safety is big issue
- 4/5
it was okay for the time stayed
- 3/5
Rooms was okay nice size and comfy. The carpet in the hallways needs replacing and the lifts was out of order so had to carry suitcase upstairs.
- 1/5
The elevator was t working. The carpet was so dirty. The room smelled dirty. The sheets smelled like Clorox. People were noisy. The stairs in the back didn’t feel safe as I stepped on them. The door in the back was never locked. No security was available. Someone kept knocking on my door at night and in the morning.
- 1/5
No
- 3/5
The card reader was malfunctioning every day and the selection of breakfast could've been better although they did have waffles to make. I also didn't like that there was no ESPN on TV. The elevator was out of service and the fitness center wasn't open like it was supposed to be.
- 3/5
All of the minimum requirements the staff was able to do very very well. However, I couldn't ignore the fact that it was extremely guetto, a pretty old building (possibly not built well), and that those are possible reasons why the hotel has changed management at least once in the past.
- 2/5
Hotel smells like weed. The exterior doors aren't looked anyone can walk in. Prostitutes screaming at 5 in the morning about getting robbed and punched. Stay away.
- 5/5
It was close to shopping area and easy access to Metro bus to downtown. Staff are friendly
- 1/5
I didn’t not enjoy the elevator bring out of order and the hallways were filthy.
- 1/5
The staff that was working the night shift was very disappointing and intrusive into my personal information. They're usually better than that.
- 5/5
Close to freeway and shopping
- 1/5
There was not hot water to shower and the room we stayed in smells like pee. The girls that checked me I did not know what she was doing. I was not happy with my stay. The room next to use had the tv on loud and I could not sleep. Overall this was the worst experience I’ve had.
- 2/5
They did not have hot water during our stay. The smell was horrible in the hallways but the room was below average. You get what you are paying for.
- 1/5
This was by far the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It smelled like marijuana the entire time. There were also bugs in the room. The entire hotel looked like it had never been cleaned. I wanted to leave and find another hotel. Should be shut down.
- 1/5
This location never answered but they where quick to take my money for absolutely nothing what a disgrace I will push hard for my refund as viral as possible this place never answer the phone and misleading offer shuttle service, but they do not answer false advertisement
- 1/5
I didn’t stay here. They had no rooms upon check in that was ready. I relocated to a different location that was not even with this company. They call me on day 2 telling me I left water in a room I never checked in and told me someone checked in and was in the room with my name. Location is very fraudulent. When they called the lady was telling me I was going to be charged regardless and disconnected the line.
- 1/5
Dont bother with this place. No one picks up phone and shuttle never came.
- 4/5
This property was safe but room had a bad smell
- 2/5
The property was smelling of smoke, the breakfast was nothing to write home about, there wasn't enough toiletries for two people. We only manage to sleep for two days out of the 16days were suppose to be there and we had to check out without any refund given back. The lift was not working so we had to carry our luggage using the stairs, even the receptionist doesn't even know where the lift is.
- 3/5
I checked in, got a room on the 2nd floor, elevator was out of service. Got all my stuff to my door, for my key not to work. Lig everything back down stairs. Got another key, plus he remade the first key. Go back upstairs. Now i have 2 keys, neither worked. Went back down to the desk. He came upstairs with me, i ran both keys again. He seen neither one worked. So he opened the door for me. Good thing i wasnt planning on leaving the room. I had no key to open my door. Went to the ice machine to get ice for my water. The ice machine wasnt working. Everything else was as expected for the price i paid for the room. I would stay again, as long as its only for the one night.
- 1/5
Unpleasant smell. I almost fainted and had to check out before I was due to. If the government or court needs 1 yes to close this area, it would be my Yes. Poor service!!! Not healthy!!!! It stinks!!!!
- 1/5
The hotel exterior and interior is awful and dirty. The carpet and furniture in the room was filthy dirty. It was not acceptable for a junkyard dog. I checked out within 30 minutes of checking in. I requested a refund that was denied. The location is awful but if the room was in decent condition I would have stayed. Worst experience I have had while booking through Orbitz’s
- 4/5
The room is big ..the TV could be a little bigger..30"or 35"..
- 5/5
My stay was very nice and peaceful i will definitely stay here again
- 1/5
I didn't like anything about this property. I checked in and went to my room 3 times before I was issued a key for a another room after discovering the room door was not opening. Not well kept property. The morning staff is rude and disrespectful. Never will I stay here again in Life. Bad experience. Overall!
- 1/5
The receptionist in the morning shift was very rude . She went knocking at my room and ordering to vacate the premises . She talked to me so bad and cussed me . I asked for her name and she refused . I have never been treated so badly . I received an email that che l out time was at 12 moon and she yelled at me yelling to get the hell out of the room . I ask her why she was so mean and she said she was the boss .
- 1/5
My things were stolen trash was left in room after maid was supposed to clean
- 1/5
My first time staying at a baymont location and it will be my last. Only good experience I had was the shuttle driver. Took a minute to check in and wasn't greeted. I had quite a few bags as my 8 year was with me, elevator was broke the whole stay, no one offered a hand, got to our room and it smelled very stale and holes were in the bedding.coffee machine dirty, and bathroom only had 1 towel. The followong morning , my son and I was awaken by loud screams, bumps from the wall from the room next to us, and glass shuttering. No one from the front desk answered for a whole hour as I did not want to leave the room with my son because it was unsafe. 30 mins later as I am looking out the perp hole, I see a man dragging a lady while hitting her pass my room. This went on for another 30 mins or so. Front desk finally answers and I ask was breakfast still going so I could feed my son. The lady said breakfast ended at 9am. I informed her that I been calling for over a hour and did not want to leave the room until I jnew it was safe. The lady said she cant control people and no brekafast accommodations. She was very rude and insensitive. I had to get my son and leave asap. We didnt come back intil the next day and when I asked for a manager,, I never got one. I tried waiting by the pool until shift change and the ppol was gross and frezzing. Someone was selling drugs in nthe back of hotel. I packed up and went to a associate house as this hotel was no longer safe.
- 5/5
Elevator not working carpets dirty no real dining besides fast food.
- 1/5
Pictures are a lie. Place is terrible elevators dont work! Save your money
- 2/5
It wasn’t the room that I booked, it smelled like smoke and urine, the keys wasn’t working correctly, couldn’t workout in the exercise room
- 1/5
Anything you can think of . Terrible , down stairs smelled like piss and bleach . Realistically , it smelled like mold everywhere and they tried to cover it up . My room had bedbug powder everywhere, red stains in the carpet . The gym wasn’t open , pool was small as hell . Ceiling pieces falling off . Bugs in the bathrooms … it was alot
- 2/5
The hotel was not clean. The carpets were stinks, the bedsheet was feeling sticky due to moisture in it. The room had a very strange smell even though we ordered for a non smoking room. The breakfast was very very basic
- 1/5
We got there a little early to see if we could check-in and were told no and to come back in an hour or so. When we got back a little before 3pm, a new person was there and said again we couldn't check-in yet. So as we were waiting a couple came in and said they had a reservation for the night before and due to a delay in their travel they were there to check-in as they were told in the morning there wasn't a room available. I couldn't believe I heard this. We finally got checked-in and went to go to the back buck the gates were closed. I went in asked where we were supposed to park. I was told out front or out back. Well lo and behold the gate were shut and we didn't have the code. I wert in to get it came back outside and the gate was open. We go inside with all our stuff and the elevator is not working so had to take the stairs. The maid didn't know where they were so we went outside to go up the stairs and the door says exit only. I go up and there is no handle so I open it up and go in. Then when we got to the room the keys didn't work and the hall smelled strongly of marijuana. After going new keys we finally got in the room. The room was ok. When we left in the morning the hall smelled strongly of marijuana again. I mentioned this when checking out and they lady didn't care there was nothing she can do. I said you can ask them to leave. Lastly, there was a sgn in the lobby saying no pets allowed even service animals. Pretty sure that's against the law.
