Enough truck parking, enjoyed our stay

The property was well kept. The front counter personnel was not very welcoming just took my info, took my payment, handed me my room key and went on my way. But the room was really decent and clean. No issues aside their linens being stained which is why i always bring my own towel, blanket, pillow anyway. I was nervous cause some motels post pictures and the rooms end up looking very old, smelling old and just not well kept, but not this time. Everything was good and the room was nice an cold and comfortable for the one night. I will definitely save for future visit. Pretty good for the price.

Personalmente, no lo recomiendo. Estaba demasiado sucio. Desde que llegamos al hotel cuando entramos a nuestro cuarto estaba extremadamente caliente, si tienen aire pero no estaba prendido. Un aroma desagradable. En las esquinas del cuarto había basura como si no se hubiera barrido, insectos disecados no de un día, ya estaban tiesos. Los almohadones tenían manchas amarillas y olor a sucio, tuvimos que bajar a cambiarlos y ni siquiera me querían dar los 4 almohadones que me correspondían aunque le estaba entregando 4. En la bañera había vello púbico así como en la cama. El inodoro está muy sucio de la parte exterior y también tenia vello púbico. El control de la televisión no servía. No está como muestran en las fotos. Lo ÚNICO BUENO es que tienen un mini refrigerador, un microondas y un espejo grande con buena iluminación. Recomiendo que se enfoquen más en la limpieza, es lo más apropiado para una placentera estancia.

Clean room and modern look.

The place itself is very nice and modern. For the price, you get a room with ample spacing and modern furniture (except the TV). The laundrymat and common were always cleaned and mostly enjoy my stay. One issue i would say was the wifi, they tried troubleshooting it multiple times but still not solution. Fortunately, if you have data, you will receive good service. Overall, a very good value inn to stay inn if you prefer modernized motel

No amenities, remote didn’t work, fridge was dirty/dismantled, linen and towels were stained/dirty, had to borrow an iron from the office and staff was friendly but unsure if there was a fee. Plenty of parking and quiet, location convenient to downtown.

Everything was very nice Customer service front Desk, housekeeping, the hotel is very well maintained very clean and the housekeeping made sure our room was clean for the 3 days that we stayed. I would highly recommend this hotel. Nicely priced as well.

motel is hidden behind a building from the hwy. industrial section. but all was fine. needs better coffee pods in rooms! but very clean/ a little stark.

Easy parking spot

Train noise constantly wakes you up at night. Hard to get to Texas medical center without fighting traffic. Hear footsteps from above room. TV was dish and signal would go out on occasion or pixelate due to clouds blocking it. Internet worked but periodically would lose SSID and not be able to connect. Good tmobile coverage. Nice bed, bathroom, paint job, AC, and microwave/mini fridge. Breakfast was mini muffins nature valley bars orange/apple juice and coffee. I should have used "Texas medical center" in my search and would have saved a lot in rideshare fees.

CLean peaceful and quiete

Amazing experience!!! The house keepers were amazing 100/10. They always asked us if we needed anything and they were so nice. I will definitely go back again because of them.

The stay was good as always. Good parking and clean rooms. Clean well Mai rained property. Only the “continental” was bad. I have been to this same place about 7 times in the last 10 years. The offerings are less and less. Only coffee and juice available.

Clean, quiet, close to the highway. Our room had a kitchen in it. It’s wasn’t close to anything really, which is my own fault for booking there. I tried being close to family. Our rooms had no hand soap, body wash, shampoo or conditioner in the room on arrival. We booked 2 rooms & there weren’t any in either room. Also check out is 11am but at 10:45am the guy at the front desk was knocking on doors and then standing around with a piece of paper watching everyone, felt very rushed & was telling a friend of ours that booked here too to hurry (even tho she was literally grabbing her stuff to take to the car) & it had just turned 11am.

Surprisingly quiet

Was a great stay, let us check in early due to we came in from out of town to MD Anderson cancer clinic. We really appreciate that, we will be staying here again..thanks to the staff..

The ac unit was not functioning properly or broken. It kept resetting itself to 80 degrees so it was hot.

Chose this hotel based on prior reviews. Hotel room was clean and a good size. Mini fridge worked and microwave also in room but didn't use that. Bed was comfortable but only 3 pillows on a king bed. It was just me but if a couple stays, someone will be shorted a pillow. There was also no soap near sink or in shower so glad I brought my own. TV remote wouldn't work sometimes and entry door was hard to open and secure after using card key. You can walk to the Whataburger which I did for breakfast. Property was quiet. Area of hotel is kinda sketchy. I went to 3 "restaurants" using GPS and they all looked pretty crappy so I drove 7 miles on loop 610 to get to a decent area with chain restaurants.

The breakfast wasn't that great. The coffee tasted like it was there all night. The muffin that was provided was about the size of a normal muffin cut in half and it didn't taste very good. Other than the orange juice, it wasn't that great. I drove to McDonalds each morning for breakfast. The rooms were fairly full, but I never saw anyone at the breakfast when I went each morning to get my orange juice. In normal places like Holiday Inn, etc. the breakfast place is usually buzzing, but this place was dead. They don't offer much for breakfast. That is why they didn't get a great rating. The rooms were okay but I had no cutlery, frying pans, or plates...so to call it a suites location is a bit much. The fridge & microwave were okay.

Air conditioning worked. Room had no water, no napkins, the tiniest bar of soap, all of which I'm guessing is pretty normal for the price. However, the light switches were dirty, the pillows were dirty, the bath towels and face towels were dirty. The door and fridge were dirty. I'm sure the bed was too but I didn't have a black light to check. Everything was hella dirty. The toilet was dirty so I lined it with toilet paper. The bath was dirty, it still had hair in it!!!!!!!!! Just hella dirty!!! Never again at that place or their franchise.

They didn’t want to give me the room. One room was paid in cash, the other with my bank card. On my account it showed transaction pending. The emplomes said his boss wanted the money right away. We were talking loud back and forth explaining that it was already there. Then after giving me a key, i got tel calls from 1:30 am till almost 2 am. The boss told the employee that if i didn’t pay, i had to leave the room. Then he told me that if i didn’t pay his boss would take the money from his check. So i had to pay again and it came out pending. I tried contacting Expedia and the protection plan, but the page wasn’t working. So vía Expedia I’m getting charged $167.10 even one room got paid cash. Oh and I had a reservation directly with the hotel, I tried to cancel it, and the tel number wasn’t working. So there’s $89.29+ $17.99 booking service fee= $107.28 which i lost also. The emplomes told me to talk with the manager at 9 am today Saturday, but i had to leave a few minutes and he didn’t show up by the time i was there and leaving. The employee took a pic of the transaction on my tel, so (1) am i taking a risk that my account will be hacked?(2) how will i get back my $88.05 because i got charged twice?

Towels and sheets needs attention

No iron, clothes rod but no hangers, TV did not work, lights were harsh with no dim lighting, cleaning staff was rude and rushed us as we were leaving, shower had hair all over the walls, there was nowhere to put soap bar except on the counter, there were not enough towels for two people even though we listed that two people would be there, the door would not close properly so we accidentally left it ajar a few times thinking we had closed it.

Location & value

What Breakfast? as there a breakfast, and if so why wasn't I told? The only thing I liked about this property was the location, which is why I chose it. Oh, and the AC was cold for the most part. I did not like the miserly nature of the amenities, such as the tiny wafer thin bar of soap, which was the only soap provided. The lack of cleanliness (true clean), and noise of cleaning carts, which made it difficult to sleep late.

I’m a trucker and stay here every month when passing through Houston. The team at this America’s Best location are polite, professional, and always strive to accommodate me (even when I show up unannounced and unexpected.) Guys, they have big truck parking, fresh hot showers, and a comfy clean room. Definitely a hidden gem on this side of HTown.

One of the worst experience

It was advertised as queen size beds but they were much smaller than a queen. There was no conditioner or hand soap provided for us and when we went to ask for some they just gave us more shampoo. The room was extremely dry. There was a random high pitch noise that would occur every couple minutes. You can hear everything outside. The train is loud. The beds were very uncomfortable. The walls and baseboards and floors are all very dirty. They do not clean well. There was a lot of honking in the parking lot. We did not sleep at all.

Not sure why everyone says this place is clean, it absolutely was not. We had to switch rooms and the second room was worse than the first one. The sheets had stains on them, there was what appeared to be blood light switches and the beds looked like someone had slept in them and pulled the sheets up. The TV & air conditioning didn’t work properly. The location is behind an abandoned motel. It did not feel safe or clean whatsoever. We had to ask for a refund and find another place it was so bad. I recommend saving your money and time to find another place.

The stay at American best hotel was amazing. It was great clean bathrooms the floors the towels smell good everything was wonderful. The office people was amazing. I had a little slight problem with my TV. I couldn’t get the sound and he was there before I can hang the phone up so everything was amazing. I will be coming back and I will be looking for American best hotels to stay in. Thank you. Keep up the great work

Cons: Non-smoking room had a strong smoke odor and burn marks on the blanket (previous customers did not respect that it was a non-smoking room), a random ashy handprint on the wall, no cookware in the kitchenette (they said they used to, but perhaps the cookware walked off over the years). These were the reasons we booked this place, and it would have been nice to have been given a heads up. Knowing this, I might give it another chance if I knew the room wasn’t smoky. I just worry about the people with allergies or families that hope to cook but can’t because of no cookware.

Property is not “downtown” as it states it’s not a long drive but in Houston traffic becomes long. Area seems a little sus if you’re looking for city vibes this area is not the hustle and bustle you’re probably expecting. The stay was good, staff, accommodating. If you’re looking for cheap and good it’s a nice stay if you’re thinking you’re in downtown it’s not that but if you’ve got your own car and driving downtown is about a 15-20 minute drive away depending on traffic.

The room has great lighting. Water pressure good. “Breakfast” was a terrible granola bar. We asked for bottom floor through app and the front desk gave us a hard time about it and tried to put us on 2nd. Parking lot is well lit. We put the sign down not disturb and housekeeping kept coming in daily Crappy machine coffee

Couldn’t make it for family emergency reasons and hotel wouldn’t grant a refund. So can’t give an honest opinion on service, room amenities, room cleanness etc.

Items from my room turned up missing and when asked about it nothing was done about it. Also room was entered when we were not there but claimed it wasn’t.

Our room was not cleaned while we were gone. We also didn't get clean towels nor our bed made either. Every hotel I've ever stayed in they always freshened up the room while I was gone. Other than that it was good.

The area around this property is terrible. There is rail yard nearby and you can hear train noise all the time. Room did not have iron and hair dryer. They provided after the request.

Office manager was very polite and accomodating. However, location was poor; nothing around it. No real amenities. TV worked but then went out.

The location is easily accessible from the entire city. Just off 610. We requested a top floor room and it was granted. The room was spotlessly clean. Good value for the price. The proximity of highways and railway lines make it noisy, which is not the hotel's fault.

Had a very pleasant stay for the weekend. Very clean room and cant beat the price. Will definitely stay again in the future if i need to.

Recently redone. Busy roads getting out, other than Whataburger, Subway and a food truck there weren’t many places to eat nearby.

The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. The staff was very accommodating and comfortable. I enjoyed my stay . Family oriented facility my three girls and I stayed there for two nights and we could’ve have felt any safer . Will visit again !

I didn’t like it at all, I selected no-smoking room and when I went into my room it smelled like smoke, tv wasn’t working and not to mention we weren’t aware they wouldn’t have main water running. Terrible experience!! Really would appreciate a refund but most likely not happening, so for the most part- DO NOT BOOK HERE IF YOU CARE ABOUT WHERE YOU LAY YOUR HEAD!!

Very basic hotel.

This place was nothing short of gross. The sheets were stained in a scary spot, the bathtub was dirty and there were urine dribbles around the toilet. Horrific.

I stayed at a very similar hotel in Austin in the same price range and they had full breakfast service with a pool and a gym. I just hope the management can keep this place up.
