Reviews
The hotel is generally praised for its cleanliness, friendly and accommodating staff, and convenient location, particularly in relation to the airport. However, several guests have complained about the quality of the breakfast, issues with the shuttle service, and the need for updates to the property.

My room (103) has a mold problem (black mold?). After being in that room for a few hours, my chest started hurting and I was coughing and it made me sick so I checked out at 1:30am. The attendant moved me to another room (205) which was not much better so I just checked out and left. I will be asking for a refund and I probably should make a call to the health inspector to see if it's a black mold issue. If so, they will shut that room down....rightly so, its a health hazard!

Our stay at the Super 8 by Wyndham Grapevine/DFW Airport Northwest had some positive aspects. The location was convenient, and the staff at the front desk were pleasant during our stay. The room met our basic needs, and the hotel was easy to access. We chose this hotel primarily because it advertised a pool, which was an important part of our plans, especially for the children. Unfortunately, the condition of the pool area prevented us from being able to use it safely. Our experience at the Super 8 by Wyndham Grapevine/DFW Airport Northwest was extremely disappointing, primarily because of the condition of the pool area. The only reason we selected this hotel was because it had a pool for the children. When we went to the pool, we found metal pop tabs and broken glass on the pool deck. Even more concerning, we personally found five separate pieces of clear broken glass inside the pool itself. At that point, we decided it was simply not safe for the children to swim. What made the situation even more frustrating was the response from the front desk. We personally took several pieces of the clear glass we had removed from the pool to the front desk and showed them to the employee. Unfortunately, he seemed largely unconcerned about the situation. Broken glass in a swimming pool is a serious safety hazard, particularly when children are expected to use the facility. We understand that problems can happen, but we expected the hotel staff to take immediate action to inspect and secure the pool after being notified. Because the pool was the main reason we booked this hotel, having it be unsafe to use significantly affected our stay. I would strongly recommend that management inspect the pool area and establish a much better cleaning and safety procedure before allowing guests, especially children, to swim.

Room was ready for us and very comfortable ! Staff was welcoming and answered all our questions! Shuttle right on time to drive us to DFW airport!! Nothing
- 2/5
First room they gave us the a/c wasn't working and next door room was super loud. Management was nice enough to switch our room. However, elevator stopped working at least 3 times. Hotel hallways had no a/c. Hotel room key had to be reactived every time we left the hotel for any reason. Location was not bad but definitely will not be staying here again.

Clean staff was kind and accommodating quiet. I’m definitely coming back with every penny even if you just need to get away from your screaming kids lol but no, it’s great. I know someone who’s staying long-term and I do not blame them. They have everything you need in there.
- 5/5
I came in and everything was clean and taken care of. They were able to accommodate my reservation because it happened to come early and they just moved it over a day instead of refusal. I came at a really bad time in my life so I was in need and they were so kind. The room was very clean cool and honestly, I didn’t wanna leave. The shower was clean. There was no bugs the floors clean enough to walk on. I’m coming back that’s for sure.
- 2/5
Room had a bad smell. The breakfast only had one option. Breakfast was the same every day.

The hotel was right around the corner from the convention center. Exactly what I was looking for, nice and clean also. The air conditioner was weak but if you left it on the entire time it was okay
- 4/5
Air conditioner made the room smell moldy but everything else was fine I think they just need to clean the air conditioner more
- 2/5
Unfortunately, this hotel had a strong, unpleasant odor throughout the property. The chair in my room smelled like vomit, and the temperature was extremely hot both inside and outside the room. Overall, the experience was very disappointing and not worth the price.
- 4.5/5
Breakfast good for the price. I’m happy with waffles and yogurt but the coffee machine wasnt working my second day. Thank you for accepting pets. They were nervous so I hope the towels they peed on are ok The chair in our room the first night was pretty worn. Kinda shabby but with animals that may be expected.
- 3/5
For what is and the price. You get what you expect. Can it better? Yes! But again satisfied the needs the time.
- 4/5
The room's shower had only hot water so showering was a challenge, especially with the 100 degree weather outside.

- 5/5
It was affordable and close to downtown.
- 3/5
This place was okay, and I only really have one issue with it. All the side entryways were unable to be used, even with a key card after booking. This basically makes the majority of the parking lot an annoyance to use, as well as having to carry belongings from the central check-in area to the ends of the halls to your room (if your room is there, which ours was).
- 5/5
Clean, ventilated smells nice and rooms were roomy and clean staff overly nice. Nothing was wrong at all
- 2/5
It’s a Suoer 8… it’s what you would expect from a low budget motel…not a hotel. Bed was super hard though. Took hot water a while to circulate. We stayed here because they offer a shuttle to airport and we were going to be a late check in and early departure. Upon check in we were told the lady that does the airport shuttle was on vacation so they wouldn’t have a shuttle for a couple of days..seriously only one lady drives the shuttle? Had we known that we could have stayed elsewhere and not have to pay the 40.00 for an Uber. Again…it’s a Super 8. You can’t have high expectations….
- 1/5
The property was simply horrible. At 1 am , I did not want to ask to change the room, but my room had rotten mold in the bathroom and a very present of old smell. I do not recommend booking there
- 4/5
The hotel was okay but our air conditioner was rattling and our Tv stand was broken. Breakfast is only a waffle. Was clean and the staff was good. Perfect if you need a quick budget-friendly stay near the airport but maybe not for an extended stay.

We arrived too late (after midnight) to take advantage of the free shuttle but got a ride back on the shuttle to resume our trip home at 5 am the next morning. Staff was very helpful, great near-airport location, and good price for serviceable, last minute hotel room when weather forces a surprise stay in Dallas but you gotta get right back to the airport in the am. There is a free breakfast that we left too early for, room was average, shower was powerful and hot at 430 am and the staff we interacted with briefly were kind and professional.
- 3/5
We asked for a manager as the sign said there was one on duty. We were told since it was Saturday there was no manager. We ended up taking a queen non accessible room since time was running out. We got to the room it was very warm despite the air being on. We called the desk and the only help we got was being asked if we turned the thermostat down. When we returned after our event, it was still not very cool. We tried to sleep but about 0230 the air conditioner stopped. We ended up getting up and checking out at 3am.
- 5/5
The room was clean, the pool was awesome, the staff was amazing. I will be back. This was a verygood deal for the money.
- 1/5
The entire building was hot. The a/c in the room worked but the hallways were stuffy and hot. The windows in the stairwell were opened but that did not alleviate the problem. Most importantly, there was a big water but (roach) on the bed when I pulled back the pillows (glad I did that before just laying down)!
- 1/5
They must have pets or something because I ended up getting pink eye because two hours into my stay. My eyes were so red the entire night and when I left, it came back home to Tennessee. I went to the doctor and found out I had pink eye because of that air conditioning unit blowing so much fur or whatever the heck it was that irritated my eyes then the room I called the front desk to get a plunger could not get a plunger. The guy told me there’s no plungers in the whole motel. I had to shake the toilet handle eventually the toilet fixed itself. It was the most deplorable experience that I’ve ever had.
- 5/5
I arrived at 1pm, 2 hours early before 3 pm check in and asked if I could get into my room, and I was allowed to get to my room.
- 5/5
We loved our stay! Room was clean and the air conditioning was so cold! Staff was very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Clean Nothing really
- 3/5
A good deal for the price. Easy location to find and close to the airport. Room looked good, recent remodel, but the rest of the building did not match. Especially the hallways, which still had the original carpet and NO A/C, so they were like walking through a jungle, complete with a gecko that found its way into my room. TV in the room did not match the remodel as it was small and low resolution. Bed was clean and comfortable. A/C worked but not as well as I would’ve liked, never got below 74 despite being set to maximum low. A little more attention to the small stuff and this place would be top notch.
- 3/5
Getting the airport shuttle was a pain - difficult to understand the desk agent - shuttle went to wrong location and returned to hotel instead of someone contacting me -
- 3/5
Not a bad hotel if you’re looking for an inexpensive place to just unwind and sleep, this is the place. You probably won’t be taking selfies in the lobby or outside. Not fancy but gets the job done. Good locations with good restaurants nearby and convenience stores. Very close to Hwy. And for you 2A enthusiasts you have a 2A playground almost next door. When you get there you’ll see what I mean. AC worked well, TV was good, beds were comfortable, bathroom was clean and functional. Unfortunately there were large stains in the 3rd floor hallways and one of our bed mattresses had a large stain on the side which we noticed at checkout. Key cards kept becoming uncoded so we had to go back down to the front desk; recommend you get it coded every time you come in to save you the hassle. Plenty of handicap parking and also a Veterans parking spot. Price was good. Not a fancy place, and it has its pros/cons, but I would probably but stay again.
- 4/5
Decent for short stay
- 5/5
Clean room, comfortable bed, great location, we had an early flight from DFW and this was a very close hotel, easy to get to airport and didn't cost hundreds of dollars for a very short stay. I would highly recommend it, and we have stayed here many times over the years.
- 5/5
The parking was very easy and we were close to the front door.
- 3/5
The bed was uncomfortably hard and the hairdryer didn't work. Breakfast did not include any protein; it was very limiting for someone who has to limit carbs. I was traveling without my luggage which was on another flight and the only toiletry was shampoo, no lotion. And the shuttle was not running the morning I left. The staff was friendly.
- 5/5
Breakfast a bit disappointing, just cereal and waffles, but otherwise a good hotel with the excellent Saltygrass steak house two minute walk.
- 3/5
I like the transfer is included in price
- 3/5
Shuttle went to wrong spot then went back instead of having front desk text or call - what was supposed to be 15-20 minutes ended up being 35 minute wait
- 5/5
Got in late and the front desk associate was very friendly , welcoming
- 4/5
I liked that they had a parking place reserved for veterans.
- 2/5
I had a missed connection at the airport and had to spend the night. I specifically chose this hotel for its location and its airport shuttle. I called at 10:10 pm for a pickup and the person that answered couldn’t help at the time and said he’d call back in 10 minutes. He did not. I called back around 10:35 to again request a shuttle and was told by the same person that I couldn’t be picked up because the shuttle ends at 11 pm (and it was 10:30 when he told me this) and the shuttle was already out. So, it cost me $40 for an Uber. And the shuttle was unavailable in the morning because there was no driver so that cost me an additional $30 for an uber back to the airport. Overall, I paid nearly double because of this. Not happy.
- 1/5
They didn't have shuttle service to pick me up at airport. Refused refund and was stuck at airport all night!!! 😡
- 3/5
The room had pungent odor
- 2/5
This place is close to the airport but in poor shape. Plus they promote free shuttle which isn't accurate and will cost you $20 ea way. Terrible breakfast. Don't stay here even if your late flight get cancelled.
- 2/5
Our room smelled like weed and housekeeping cleaner when we arrived at midnight. It was hard to sleep because of the smell The whole place felt very rundown. The continental breakfast was minimal and the coffee was really bad. I was grateful to have a place to sleep after our flight got canceled. The morning clerk was helpful and the van driver she was really nice.
- 5/5
Good location for Grapevine activities
- 3/5
Tip: don’t assume their airport shuttle will be circling—it’s not a big hotel. Call and let them know which Terminal you are at and that you need a ride. The airport shuttle back to the airport in the morning was great—they scheduled me to a specific departure time and even double checked my flight terminal (which was appreciated because there had been a last minute flight change).
- 1/5
Reserved my room through Expedia and paid through Expedia. Get to the hotel and have been charged again for my room. Now, this is where the terrible rate kicks in. The bed was so hard (you could feel the inner springs, sitting on the bed hurt my back and I’m still working on getting my back to not hurt. The breakfast or the lack of breakfast was head turning. Very disappointing
- 2/5
I booked the room because there was a hotel shuttle. But after multiple calls the shuttle never came to pick me up and we were unable to get to the hotel.
- 2/5
Inexpensive. Close to airport.
- 3/5
The air was very stale and left a taste on you. Dunno if it's an old, converted smoker's room or the AC needs cleaning. Everything else was okay.
- 4/5
It was nice place since we had pets
- 5/5
The staff was friendly and helpful. Walking distance to restaurants, easy parking , just off the highway, and minutes to downtown area shopping and more restaurants.. Price was very reasonable .
- 5/5
Muy limpio
- 5/5
Great service all around , staff was extremely helpful and kind
- 3/5
It’s not the worst place I have ever stayed. It’s also not the best. You can tell they have tried to upgrade the property but it was either poorly executed or just half done. Check in and out was fast and trouble free seeing is how I booked last minute at 2300 and checked out at 0500. The bed wasn’t exactly comfortable but it was a bed. The pillows are plain awful and they were completely useless. Over all it’s good for when your plane is cancelled last minute.
- 4/5
Everything was good, clean, & affordable.
- 4/5
Staff could be more friendly
- 1/5
I asked them to cancel my reservation in the reception, they told me I had to call expedia, expedia called them to confirm the cancellation and the person in reception told them they could not authorize it. I was still in the lobby when this happened, and the manager was nowhere to be found. They have YET to respond to any of the refund inquiries, and dared send me a “satisfaction survey”. This place is disgusting. DON’T STAY HERE!
- 4/5
Our room had a coffee maker, mini fridge, microwave, hair dryer, ironing board and iron. There is also an outdoor pool.
- 4/5
Hotel was adequate for a nights stay as we had an early doctor appointment the next morning. Many restaurants nearby - some walking distance. Had trouble with room keys not working for more than 1-2X. Had coffee and some breakfast items in the morning. Allow pets.
- 5/5
Everything was great
- 4/5

I stayed at this Super8 because I was having surgery at a hospital nearby. I needed ice packs after surgery and BOTH ice machines were broken!!! The desk clerk offered me a bottle of frozen water which was kind but not helpful. My daughter tried to use the gym but the machines were broken !!!! The upkeep on this property is dismal. The rooms were clean so kudos to the cleaning staff but the management needs to improve !!! Fix your broken things so the $$$$ I spend is worth it.
- 4/5
Great location for a convenient departure the next day.
- 2/5
It’s a super 8, can’t expect a lot but it wasn’t that expensive either.
- 2/5
The night staff was very nice. Furniture was old and run down. Sheets were stained. Neither ice machine worked. Key card only worked on the room door. To enter the hotel you had to go thru the front door or have someone hold the side door open for you.
- 2/5
Breakfast was almost in invisible. Just waffles and yogurt. Froot Loops in the cereal container marked Raisin Bran. No tea. Staff very disinterested. All ice makers broken.
- 4/5
It’s an older property but has had some renovations recently. We were only there to sleep and catch an early flight. There are a lot of restaurants and businesses around there which is nice. Great shuttle service and friendly driver!!
- 2/5
The rooms seemed to have undergone minimal updates, primarily with new vinyl flooring, but the overall decor felt dated by over 15 years. The beds were quite firm, and even minor movements produced creaking sounds. In the bathroom, stains were evident, and the yellow tub appeared quite old. While the walls didn’t offer much sound insulation, at least the air conditioning functioned well.
- 2/5
Wow what a difference! Stayed here two years ago and was pleased. What happened? Room filthy, broken down bathroom, would not have paid this much for this quality of a room. Very disappointed. Love the location but please maintain the room properly.
- 5/5
All good
- 2/5
I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel. While the staff wasn’t outright rude, they were far from welcoming or accommodating, which made the overall experience feel impersonal from the start. The property itself is extremely outdated. The hallways were dim, worn, and honestly unsettling—they felt more like something out of a horror movie than a place meant for guests to feel comfortable. The room didn’t offer much relief either. The pillows were overly soft and mushy, providing little to no support, which made it difficult to get a good night’s rest. What was most concerning, however, was the lack of basic safety measures. The windows in the room did not have locks. While I was on the third floor, this is still a serious safety oversight and not something guests should have to worry about. The “continental breakfast” was another major letdown. It was advertised as an amenity, but the options were extremely limited just waffles, coffee, juice, and a few basic cereals. It did not meet expectations at all and feels misleading to promote it as a highlight.Although the hotel offers a shuttle service to and from the airport, even that experience was frustrating. I was initially told to wait at Gate C35, only to find out it was under construction and had to relocate to Gate C3. During this process, the staff over the phone were not helpful or patient. Instead of assisting, they rushed me, despite the fact that I was unfamiliar with the area and traveling from out of state.
- 4/5
I chose this location of Super 8 because it was convenient to the activities I attended over the weekend. The staff was friendly; the room was clean and comfortable; and the breakfast was adequate. I appreciated all the lighting in the self-parking parking lot. I will choose Super 8 if my travels bring me back to Grapevine, Texas.
- 5/5
is ok the place
- 4/5
The hotel is extremely outdated so as far a cleanliness it was as clean as they could get it. The continental breakfast was waffles, 2 cereal options and yogurt. With apple and orange juice. The staff was friendly but I do feel like the pictures and descriptions are very misleading. For a quick stay not bad at all but for the price not bad
- 5/5

Really good place to stay

Giving the area, quite nice for the price. Free Parking, Helpful Staff, Comfortable Beds. If you want a good place to stay to reduce cost, this is a solid choice.
