Reviews
The hotel received mixed reviews with guests appreciating the amenities, water park, and friendly staff. However, there were consistent complaints about long wait times, cleanliness issues, and overpriced services.
- Great for families with kids, especially the water park
- Friendly and helpful staff
- Long wait times for check-in, elevators, and food
- Cleanliness issues in rooms and common areas

The staff were great and very helpful and all times. Check in William was fantastic and gave us all the information we needed. At times there were staff shortages and either the outside pool were delayed being opened. Housekeeping was good and kept us supplied with linens and anything else we needed.

There was something for everyone, and we especially loved being able to enjoy so many activities without having to leave the resort. It was a fun, relaxing, and memorable trip. We would definitely recommend Great Wolf Lodge to families looking for a great vacation.

Need renovation for indoor water park and rooms
- 2/5
Checking was unorganized and it was delayed check-in, which I could not enjoy the amenities because we’re waiting to check in. It was very very crowded and it was not offered anything for the inconvenience.
- 4/5
Although the best of times were had, it is worth noting that many amenities are in need of maintenance of repair. Since children don’t notice, there are few complaints and they have an amazing time.
- 5/5
First time going and I was nervous reading the mixed reviews but I was OVERLY SATISFIED!! My kids had a blast. The only thing i think was “problematic” is that I’m still waiting on the hold for accidental damage to be back in my account but I understand it’s not the property’s fault. Overall great experience and will be returning!!
- 5/5
Muy bueno todo me encantó, lo que en el bufet a la hora de la cena siempre hubo problema o se demoraban haciendo la carne o te la daban fría
- 4/5
The hotel part is very nice. Lots of food choices. Indoor water park is definitely geared towards younger kids. Outdoor swimming was better. Here’s the bad-they ran out of towels both days. So think about taking at least one of your own just in case. The food we got was good. The ice cream shop offers dipping dots, scoops of ice cream, and soft serve along with other sundae treats but the soft serve ( my favorite) was not working both days we were there. They also advertised a strawberry shortcake trifle on the screens but when you order on their electronic tablets it isn’t a choice so you have to go to window and ask for it because it is a limited edition. The kids enjoyed the magic quest as much and even more than water park. Beware - wands are $20 each BUT when you pay they charge to play as well so $ 40 for 2 kids turned into $135!

Great hotel with plenty of amenities and activities for kids. Our family had a fantastic time, and there was always something to keep everyone entertained. The facilities were well maintained, and the overall atmosphere was welcoming and family-friendly. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will definitely be returning. Highly recommended for families looking for a fun and relaxing getaway!

The process for checking in was a mess. There were plenty of staff, and they were pleasant and friendly; however, they were not very efficient. There was one register open, and approximately 6-8 kiosk machines were available, but they weren't working properly. After standing in line for the kiosk machines only to find out that you need to go to the counter. After an arduous check-in, the room was not good. There was a dirty towel left in my bathroom, and it didn't look like much effort was taken in cleaning the room. The bathroom vent was FILTHY. I always bring cleaning supplies, so before my family made it to the room, I had some serious cleaning to do. The water park was the highlight; there's something for all ages, and the on-site food was flavorful and reasonably priced. The wait time was frustrating; the process is unorganized and has poor systems. The setup seems simple: place your order and pick up at the next window. The communication could have been better; the order board wasn't working, so you had people standing around waiting for their order, only to find out later that you would receive a text or email when your order was ready. I wouldn't recommend this resort; I would suggest purchasing a day pass, bringing your own food, and enjoying the water park.

We had lots of fun and would return soon

Mosses where we had Breakfast was excellent. Claire was good as well. I wish they didnt allow outside people who are not staying access.to the water park. Way to many people. Every time we tried to get a towel they were out. They need to limit the towels to tje amount of guests. Check in was messed up. I sent numerous messaged for adjoining rooms. I booked booth rooms at same time we had one on floor 4 and one on floor 6 changed to floor 4. One room we couldnt get in because our bands did not work and no text.message it was ready. called down and we had to get them changed out. We did get free breakfast for the troubles. In room coffee maker didnt work. Table in room was sticky like it was just painted. Elevators were aweful. Would we come back again? Probably not.

La propiedad es muy bonita y los niños pueden disfrutar mucho en verdad, solo que cuando llegamos, no brindar toda la información necesaria. Tramitan mucho y eso hace que no puede disfrutar de todas las alternativas bien
- 5/5
I love it

Property clean. Buy up for extras a bit overpriced

Nice and friendly and clean

My family loved playing in the waterpark, and I loved that we were comfortable enough to play all day even with a 5m old in tow. There was enough for them to do that we stayed at the indoor/outdoor waterpark all day. The staff was very prompt and accommodating. There is only one restaurant on property with good food -- Fireside. If you can, bring food out to the waterpark, and save your money on the quick service options. This was a fun 2 night stop, and I am glad we had the experience. We did not do Magic quest. My kids were more interested in swimming. We did play in the arcade before checkout, which the kids thoroughly enjoyed. In the future, I would likely only buy a day pass to play at the waterpark or buy a day pass to one of the numerous other water parks in the DFW area.
- 5/5
Everything was great, the kids enjoyed
- 2/5
There is a daily $25 charge for parking unlike other Great Wolf Lodges in which we’ve stayed. Also, they randomly charged $460 to my credit card. I went to the front desk and they reversed the charge, saying that it happens all the time. They do have bigger water slides than most of their other locations, but it didn’t supersede any of the negatives.
- 5/5
Las instalaciones son increíbles lo único que casi no me gustó fue la comida
- 5/5
For an unplanned trip to Great Wolf Lodge, hotel.com did not disappoint. Check in was easy, room was a great location, staff was super friendly and helpful.

I wish they have more outdoor pools areas including for adults

No hot water to shower in the rooms. Had to wait for maintenance to come repair the hot water. After 45 minutes of repairs the water was still cold. My room was changed and still the shower water was cold. On my last day at the property, while out of my room, house keeping entered my room and started cleaning before my check out time. A couple of my personal items were thrown out. I didn’t realize the missing items until I was home. Out of all the money and time spent on this trip, the management refunded me for one night in the amount of less than $300. This trip cost me $1,600 through Expedia. I then spent an additional $500 at the property. I would not stay at this property again.

The room was clean. The staff were friendly but they charge you for every little thing they charge you tax on things that shouldn't be taxable. They charge you a parking fee to park in their parking lot and tax you on it they charge you for the pool towels even though you didn't take them. It was cheaper for me to go take my grandson to Universal Studios then it was to stay at Great Wolf Lodge. I will never do it again I will never recommend it to anyone. I'm still fighting unauthorized transactions on my credit card.

Our granddaughters , daughter my husband and I had a great time. The property is beautiful. The water slides was spectacular. The lazy river & water cannons was so much fun. When the water rides & pools closed it was still so much to do like movies, dance party and different games. What I didn't like about it was the restaurants, gift shops & memorabilia was totally over priced. The restaurants outside of the lodge was somewhat better. The staff was friendly and helpful. The parking was overpriced at $25 per night. The first two nights we didn't have hot water in the shower but the staff was working on the problem. All in all the grandchildren really loved it so if you do go to the Great Wolf Lodge make sure you have some extra spending money for food & games.

I'd go back again

We stayed for one night but couldn't sleep well because the air conditioning didn't cool the room. Enduring the heat was awful; after spending the day by the pool in the sun, the lack of cool air in the room kept us from sleeping, and we all woke up with headaches. Otherwise, it is a good place to visit with children.

El lobby es hermoso y el parque encantador

The bathroom reminded me of a Motel 6 from the 90’s. It was gross. The back of the door was damaged at the bottom and the trim needs to be replaced or cleaned. We had to use every bit of strength to even turn the water on. The tub faucet was almost detached. We did not have water pressure in our sink. Our T.V. did not work. Matt from maintenance tried his best, but could not fix it. There were strange noises all through the night and we could not figure out where they were coming from. They only have body wash and shampoo, conditioner would have been nice. Everything is expensive, so I don’t think it’s unreasonable to expect to have a nice stay. Unfortunately, our stay was terrible. We won’t be back.

Good for young kids maybe (under 12). Not so much as they are older. It was very crowded everywhere, daily pass users don’t add to the experience of crowds. Life guards were very alert and on point, my favorite part, they take their job seriously as they should. Room was very stale and cold, not cozy and welcoming. Dated, but clean. Towels were new and fluffy. Slept horrible, the firearm flashes like a camera flash every 5 seconds; in a dark room, it’s annoying. I called to see if it was functioning normally, since I’ve never experienced this…she said, yes and it was fire code; she offered to text me the fire code (in a smart way, not as a customer service rep kind way). Eye roll. Also, she said it was like this in every room, like she knew my next question... Obviously, they get this question a lot. How about you make a change…seems other hotels find a way not to have a bright flash in all their rooms. We’ve been to GWF a couple times now in different states. Now that my youngest is 12, I think we are done with this property, wasn’t worth the money nor experience this time.

- 4/5
I was unable to sleep soundly due to the sound of the water in the toilet tank, which was quite loud. I did not report it at the time because there was no one at the front desk.
- 3/5
Oh I love the pool! I love all the little activities that you can do around there. The staff is incredibly helpful, but $25 of parking a night and $200 for a room. That wasn't better than some of the cheap hotels I stayed in. Just wasn't worth it but I would recommend anybody to buy a day pass and experience the water park cuz it is something truly great
- 1/5
Now to discuss the room. AC only worked downstairs and required a box fan from the hotel to help a little upstairs, but it was hot. (8th floor loft) The two tvs downstairs did not work and maintenance had no answer, the only tv working was the one upstairs where it was too hot to even sleep in. There were Taco Bell packets and dirt under the tv upstairs; I point that out bc we never had Taco Bell so sweeping was not done prior to our check in. On this app it states they close at 9pm (pool) outdoor closed at 6 and indoor closed at 8. If you rent a cabana, although they leave the waterpark towels there for you inside the cabana you will have to return them to services or you will be charged $120 for not returning. Not one employee communicated with me about anything after getting the cabana regarding rules/policies. No one. It was refunded. Was the stay worth the stay? No. Was it minimal standard? Yes. I will not be returning to this hotel and just want to help future customers when it comes to their stay.

Awesome experience
- 5/5
The parking fee and parking lot full al the time
- 4/5
Water park was disappointing, the park was understaffed and some rides were closed or the lines were too long. The indoor park, the chlorine odor was too much…I needed to go outside and take a breath.
- 5/5
That is a perfect place to enjoy your time with family
- 4/5

Wonderful experience! Loved everything that The Great Wolf Loge has to offer. Staff is wonderful. Truly recommend it and will be back again.
- 5/5
Just soon convenient with hotel and water park being attached.
- 4/5
Family suite room was nice..Hot tub needs improvement. Start water park early like 8am, instead of 9am
- 5/5
Fun for all ages. Parking is way over priced. We spent one night. Left early the 2nd day but still had to pay 50 for each day $100 total.
- 5/5
Expensive but, the inside water park is beautiful. Jacuzzi with too much chlorine.
- 3/5
The tv worked some of the time The staff were not very knowledgeable about the policies of the property, they were very friendly

Great place for young children
- 5/5
If you’re looking for something to do with your kids and at the same time, have fun this is the place my two year-old baby had so much fun as well. it’s not only a waterpark. They also have activities for you and your kids to do.
- 5/5
We all really enjoyed ourselves! We absolutely loved the inside waterpark and arcade! The only real issue I had was elevators taking a long time! So if you have no patience to wait, and no luggage to carry up! The stairs are helpful!
- 4/5
It was a good experience; however, to make it worthwile for the guest there were too many amenities that guest had to pay for that should have been offered with the stay since the stay there is very expensive! Things like parking, some food options and activities should have come with the expense of booking the room. The canopies should be first come first serve instead of at a expensive cost.
- 3/5
There is no doubt about it; this is an old and poorly maintained property with some exciting features kids will enjoy. It is very expensive and not worth the price for the quality of the hotel. But, if you value keeping g the kids entertained at a waterpark, you may be happy paying premium hotel prices for an average hotel.
- 5/5
Breakfast buffet was really good, decent variety and good quality overall.
- 5/5
Nice
- 3/5
Rooms hot and really small/cramped. Everything is way overpriced for food and drinks. But was nice for the experience. Kids are older and probably will not return

Waterslides for great fun for all of us between 11 and 81! Food, especially the buffet was outstanding and something for everyone’s taste. Room comfortable. Would have liked a chair in the king bedroom of the grizzly bear. Old people like to sit to put on jeans sometimes!! overall a wonderful experience for our twin granddaughters to celebrate their 12th birthday
