Overall pleasant experience

Specifically, the check in clerk took 15 minutes to find my reservation. Second, the ice machines were NOT working on any of the floors. Third, there was an accumulation of trash outside my room on the second floor. The high point of the stay was the great breakfast. Otherwise, I would give this property a total thumbs down.

The inside and outside of the hotel was very clean and the front desk employee went the extra mile to get us checked in a little early.

The nice lady that checked us in was so professional, and kind hearted. God, bless her! The hotel is my favorite when I visit family in the Dallas area. Thank you for everything, and we will see you all soon. Blessings!

Rooms were clean, but everything was "well used". The ice machines did not work, and in 100+° Texas heat, Ice is needed. The breakfast was not good at all, except for tue pre-packaged yogurt and boiled eggs. The juice was good though!

The staff was nice and helpful The room ac was not on when we arrived, took 3 hours to cool off. The carpet was dirty throughout the hotel and the fridge in my room leaked water. They offer a "lakeview' room which is barely visible from across the freeway.

Very outdated compared to the pictures. Mold everywhere in the restroom and ac unit. Told front desk but really didn’t say much.

Amazing breakfast!

Old run down some key pads didn't work one of the days they shut off the water toilet seat broken. Shower valve broken just totally run down. Staff said it was bought by someone else and it was scheduled for a remodel in August

Room was clean, bed was comfy but bathroom had a damaged wall. We ended our stay one day early because the hotel was shutting down the water for 5 hours.

The property smelled like cigarettes and mold. I stayed one night and the rooms and hallways smelled like cigarettes and very humid. I woke up with a sore throat . I decided to leave early .

Nice hotel clean basic. Didn’t live up to the online descriptions. Will not be my first consideration, a second option maybe.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating, we didn’t ask for anything special but they made us feel like valued customers. We will return.

There was exposed wiring in the bathroom and bedside. The shower was peeling and the faucet was loose with no seal. The AC never got to the set temp. Stains on the bed skirt. No laundry bag in the room, when I asked housekeeping for one they referred me to front desk where there was no one to be found… I was planning on resolving at the front desk at check out but there was no one there. When I reached out to customer service, I got an apology and an offer of 1500 points= 1/4 of a nights stay.

Mold on the ceiling. Carpet was always wet and water dripped from the ceiling. Everything seemed to be falling apart.

The gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and kind. The breakfast had a lot choices. The pool was clean and a lot of fun.

We had a few issues. One was we had a pullout couch bed that was really stained and pretty gross. No one was willing to sleep on it. The shower head had also come apart and also wouldn’t stay on the wall (we had the ada room, so you had to set the shower head down to shower). Bedside lights also didn’t work. The breakfast was good though!

The property was not maintained well at all. I was dirty and chipped paint on the furniture and walls. The carpet was dirty too. The breakfast area had torn seats. The toilet didn’t work in the room. I had to switch rooms after maintenance said they fixed it. The new room bathroom sink water pressure was so high that I got soaked trying to wash my hands. I will never stay here again!

Never cleaned my room or provided fresh towels. Entire carpet in the room was damp my entire stay. Some of the lights didnt work when I turn on the switch

A lot of the light bulbs were out on the lights in the room. Shower wasn’t very clean. While we were sleeping- the top of the bathroom started leaking and pouring out water from the upstairs room. Gross! Cobwebs on the walls and entry ways. Advertised as having a balcony but the balcony was not even accessible and the balcony was filthy and dirty. Windows were gross as well

Broken shower chair Rubber strip at edge of shower was off, lying in the floor and water went everywhere It was also a tripping hazard Cable wasn’t working AC wasn’t working had to put it on 66 before the room was comfortable Several Light bulbs were out- so it was dark - we had to go buy a lamp so my sister could read her book We had to use all the towels on the bathroom floor so we didn’t slip Had to blow dry my hair in the room so I didn’t electrocute myself When we woke up there was a dead water bug by the door Worse stay we’ve ever had in a hotel The staff never apologized! Just kept saying “ok”! Deplorable condition Never offered us a refund or another room Thank goodness we only had to stay one night!

Hotel is in poor conditions. Broken seats, doors, night lights, poor drainage, stained carpets, and bed sheets. It looks and feels like nobody cares.

This is what we got for a Holiday Inn. Half the lights don’t work, some lights and switches pulled out of the wall/missing. Large Roaches enjoyed our room with us. Top star on no bedbugs. Cleaning people knock on the door at 7:30am to clean (or whatever they do,) and of course that’s when we are getting ready to go out for the day. Water is a drizzle from the bathroom sink, and the shower is a notch above tepid on full blast hot. Again with cleaning: I’m showering and see a long black hair stuck on the shower wall. Too long for my husband’s, wrong color for mine. Bathroom door doesn’t close by the way. I mean, I really expected a little more for the price and a Holiday Inn. But I guess expectations lead to disappointment. Will now finish getting ready for my evening excursion, and while I do so, I’ll be wearing socks or shoes. I’ve heard never walk a hotel barefoot, but for sure, don’t do it here. Ick!

The hotel staff was great at checkin The hotel was very dirty, carpet, room, bathroom and even outside.

The suite was roomy, clean, and comfortable. I had to request some face towels because there were none but room service brought them quickly. The extra comforter that I asked for had holes in it. However, it kept me warm!

The property was closed to the expressway and near Bass pro. The carpet in the hallway coming off the elevator and down the hall way had stain on it.

Convenient for our baseball tournament and next to Bass Pro Poop stains in our toilet, not very good water pressure or outlets by bed for charger the coffee maker didn’t work

They really need to.stop advertising their balcony, nine if the balconies are accessible so don't go there thinking you're getting a balcony cause you're not and they're not gonna tell you so yeah. Just know the balconies are not available to you but the room is at the same price.

Bugs, roaches, no proper rest room supplies…no tooth brush and paste…air conditioner leaking

The first morning had great selection tasted good. Loved the biscuits and gravy The second and third morning the selections were limited NO biscuits or gravy and no bacon. Seemed that the cook/attendent did know what he was doing

Room looked decent except there was a stain on the couch and shower needed some work done there was mold on the edges.

The view of the lake was great. Breakfast was very, very good.

The pools were closed and I got put in the wrong room

We had a roach in our room, the bed sucked, hotel didn’t have enough bedding to support the sleeping of four, breakfast was mid.

Exposed wires in our room. Curtains were disgusting, bathrooms were not clean, multiple outlets did not work. Was very disappointed when we got to the room.

Good location by the lake. 1) there were bugs in the bathroom. 2) the heater was on in the living area section and the a/c was on in the bedroom section. It took a while for the room to cool down. 3) there were lighting issues in the bedroom section.

Our room was filthy and everything was dingy. The headboard was deteriorating, the side tables and closet doors were all banged up, some lights didn’t work in the room, the comforter and the carpet were both ripped up, and the room smelled like smoke.

Room was dirty, carpets torn. Headboards torn. Booked room with sofa bed and was not given one. Daughter had to sleep on 2 blocks that they call a couch. Complained to management but since we aren't IHG members we were told they couldn't do anything for us. Never staying at Holiday Inn again

Clean room

The room felt very outdated, and the sofa had stains all over the seats, which was disappointing. The AC worked fine, but the buttons were broken, so I had to guess which ones controlled the settings. I reserved the room for six people, but the restroom only had two large towels. I understand that I could request more, but that’s not something I want to deal with right after getting into the room. Overall, the room needs better maintenance and preparation for the number of guests booked.

The side entrance was broken so we had walk around but eh. Didn't get the room I booked though. Still had the view of the lake but not the room I thought I booked. Overall this was our 4th visit. Staycation.... breakfast is always good!

Enjoyed the hot breakfast

This hotel needs a serious renovation. Lots of damage including mold in the shower, holes in walls, smears on walls, dust/skin cells built up on ac unit for years, hallways have lights out or flickering, noise level is loud- you can hear every conversation in the halls and rooms next to you. The gym has a treadmill that shakes. Only thing nice was the free breakfast, comfortable bed, and it’s almost on waterfront.

didn't even stay at the hotel the room was not clean bed was use and a dead water roach in the restroom they offer me a bug cleaning and I still had to stay in the same room and they would give me a new room the next day when I was going to be checking out the following day and today is day 7 and I was told I would get a refund for not staying and im still waiting for that money after day 7

There was not a room available. We will be needing a refund. This is the first time this has happened. We always stay here. Will start looking elsewhere maybe. Waiting on the refund to decide.

Too many local kids going in causing trouble. They must know a worker that is there. They go in and eat the breakfast in the mornings and leave a mess.

Rips and tears, kidding

I was disappointed with my stay. First of all, the woman who was working the night shift around 9:00 p.m. on Saturday January 3rd, is very rude. When I got to the front, she didn't ask me how I was, no greeting at all really. She just looked up at me. I said I had a reservation and she just said "I need ID". She told me to answer my card for the incidental then she gave me my room key. Didn't tell me much else. Just very cold. The room was okay. Average. But what I didn't like was how rundown it was. Everything is Dusty and scruffy. Then there were the bugs... They have an infestation of ants. Now luckily they are the little black ones that don't do any harm. But it's still not great to be sitting in bed and an ant walks across your chest. Or going to the restroom and a huge cockroach is on the ground. I get it, we're by the lake. But come on. The outdoor area was disappointing as well. Not a chair in sight. Just a pool and a deck. You're looking out on the lake, a table and chair would be nice to relax. Definitely would not be staying here again.

The room is amazing. Clean and specious. It surpassed all my expectations. Mind you, when i booked the room it stated suite but i didn't expect this much space. Thank you for the excellent services.

The hotel and room were very dirty. The couch had stains all over the cushions on both sides and the pull out bed was full of food, wrappers, and stains. There was half eaten candy bars in the cupboard and makeup in the pillows. We ended up checking out and finding a new hotel. Staff was great and very professional and respectful.

Water was extremely hot, no cold water, limited water pressure. At one point needed to shower on a different floor and at another point while showering the water pressure stopped working

We complained about our lock not working. But didn’t do anything about it. So we felt very unsafe or leaving our belongings behind, because our door would not lock. One can easily budge into our room. But the 3 nights we stayed there. Nothing.

I loved witha built in body wash, shampoo & conditioner & also built in handwash soap & body lotion. The hotel is walkable to the lake or nearby store & resto even gasoline station. Closed to hway exit.

All was good, yet the breakfast staff was overwhelmed about 9 am. Difficult time keeping up with enough food for about 30 minutes. Biscuits were as good as any fast-food restaurant. The room was in perfect order, cold A/C, and quite even on the freeway side.

Property was dirty, like fixtures gone with open electric wires hanging. I stayed there five years ago. It was a very nice property. I will never stay there again.

Got to hotel at 10:30pm to check in, no one was at the desk, sign said they had stepped away (totally understandable as it was late). 45 minutes go by and finally a guy comes up (apparently coming in for his shift and was 10 min late he said.) by this time there are numerous gathered to check in and some with babies and small kids! First Gentleman said sir I feel like everyone needs an apology for the excessive wait. There are families with young children and we have all waited a very long time. (Mind you this man was not being rude or even raising his voice!) the employee looked at this man and said I don’t have to apologize to anyone and if your going to take that tone with me then I refuse to check you in and you can leave the premises! The man had already been checked in and was having to get a new room because his room had never been cleaned after the previous guest left! After he told the employee this he was told he would have to wait until everyone else had been checked in!!! I told the employee to get that man taken care of first before I was checked in. So go to my room and there is a hole in the bathroom wall and the next am there are ants in my drink that I had on the table!! The regular upkeep on this hotel has definitely been neglected! I will not stay at this hotel again simply because of how that man handled the situation! Having to wait close to an hour to check in is beyond ridiculous!

Love this place always my stop when I’m in town

The property and surrounding area are great. The only problem is the room smells like an old cellar. Not sure if the smell was from the air conditioner or the carpet but it was overwhelming in two different rooms.
