Reviews
The Warwick Melrose Hotel is a historic and charming hotel with a great location in Dallas. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff. However, some guests have complained about the noise from outside, the lack of self-parking, and the extra fees for valet parking and other amenities.

Location is superb and staff very helpful and friendly. Valet is a must so get there early enough to get a spot.

My room was spacious, clean, quiet, and very comfortable, with a great bed and well-maintained furnishings. The entire property felt polished and cared for, from the guest room to the public spaces. The staff was a major highlight. Everyone I encountered was professional, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely helpful. Service felt polished without being overly formal, and any questions or requests were handled courteously. The Oak Lawn location is excellent as well—convenient to restaurants, nightlife, shopping, and other parts of Dallas while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. What I appreciated most was the hotel’s combination of historic elegance, comfort, cleanliness, and hospitality. It feels sophisticated without being stuffy and has a personality that many newer hotels lack. Overall, a wonderful experience from start to finish. I would confidently recommend the Warwick Melrose Dallas and would gladly return on a future trip.

Staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. Room was extremely comfortable with a great view of the city. Location was perfect for our intended celebration. Our server, Gene, in the Landmark Restaurant was outstanding. He offered menu suggestions that were very good. Service was quick and attentive. nothing. all good

The pool area, the staff, the location, the food

Such a wonderful weekend at the Melrose!! The piano bar was such a treat that we went both Friday and Saturday night. Valet is the best and checking in/out is so easy! Don’t forget to get breakfast there, it’s the best!!

Interesting property but very dated
- 5/5
The Warwick is exceptionally well maintained and we thoroughly enjoyed our 3 night stay. We will definitely be staying here on our future trips to Dallas.

They force you to pay a resort fee for normal things every hotel allows to you have access to free of charge like a swimming pool, restaurant, bar, etc. So ridiculous. The hotel itself is beautiful, but the staff comes across very snobby

Very nice stay. Comfortable beds and quiet.
- 2.5/5
Beautiful, comfortable and clean A $160 charge was charged to my room that shouldn’t have been. I went to the service desk, staff reversed the charge and agreed i was wrongly charged. As soon as I checked out of the hotel, my credit card was charged again. After numerous calls and messages left for the manager and no return call. It’s been 7 days and I still haven’t resolved the issue.
- 4/5
Everything was great, only complaint is the ceiling fan in our room did not work. Other than that, we had a great stay.

Clean mostly. Ive never submitted a bad review. I haven’t slept at all at night . Impossible to sleep with a party on my floor an AC that sounds like a lawn mower and 0 sounds proof room

I highly recommend utilizing the in-room dining. The culinary quality was surprisingly outstanding, comparable to top-tier luxury resorts in Las Vegas, which prompted me to order multiple times during my stay. Considering the hotel's 100-plus-year history, the accommodations and overall experience exceeded expectations. The only small area for improvement would be the front desk presence; while the service was attentive, a warmer, more approachable demeanor would elevate the arrival experience. Be sure to make time for the pool as well during your visit.

Awesome property but no option on Valet at $45 is a bit much since no other parking provided

Our suite was lovely and comfortable. There was no vent/fan in the bathroom so you had to open a window to let steam out. The water pressure in shower was low.

OK, this is my favorite hotel in Dallas. It is almost like a secret gem away from the hustle and bustle but nestled in a beautiful part of the city. The hotel is beautifully appointed and the staff are so friendly and helpful. The room feels luxurious and let me tell you, it is the best bar in Dallas as most people know. Gorgeous interior, a piano player often, and the night we were there there was karaoke and many many people over the age of 40 were having a big time. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. It is fabulous.
- 5/5
It’s a beautiful building and the rooms were clean with modern bath

We stopped by the Library Bar, located inside the hotel. It's a beautiful, elegant space with a warm and inviting atmosphere that's perfect for relaxing and enjoying a drink. From the excellent food to the outstanding hospitality, the Warwick Melrose Dallas is a first-class destination. I highly recommend visiting, and we look forward to coming back!

Very lovely place. Very peaceful. Staff was very nice.
- 3/5
Room was clean. Service was subpar. Front desk was useless.
- 5/5
Wonderful experience! I would definitely visit again. The entire atmosphere was absolutely spot on. Thank you so much for b for a memorable 35 year wedding anniversary getaway.
- 5/5
The hotel has the charm and elegance of the South, yet with all the amenities of newer hotels. Best of both worlds. The rooms were beautiful and very spacious~ and the staff friendly and helpful. The hotel bar The Library is like stepping back into a Speakeasy with craft cocktails, delicious food and has live music too. Next trip I will make time for the Spa!!

A hotel rooms are in disrepair. The first 2 rooms assigned to me had multiple maintenance. issues. The staff wanted to assign me to a third. I was tired of changing room , so I ask for the hotel to repair the items that were broken in my room. I asked to speak to the general manager about the problems with getting a room without maintenance issues, however, that conversation never took place. Is it possible? The lack of competent management is the reason why there are so many problems with the rooms? it is not the guest's responsibility to identify and request that all the problems with the room. I will not stay at another Warwick hotel again. The hotels are old and in disrepair. Don't be fooled by the pictures. Finally, there is a major issue with homeless in the area. Mostly, because of the church across the street.

Leaking water.
- 5/5
It’s a bit pricey but it’s a fabulous place and DEFINITELY get the prime rib! Best I’ve ever had!
- 5/5
Lovely hotel stay. Restaurant, bar and room service was great. Centrally located and near the Katy trail. Only complaint is the pillows were not comfortable for us. Will return but will bring pillows next time.
- 5/5
surprisingly classic vintage and modern, refreshing stay
- 5/5
Very clean and spacious rooms.

Awesome location and experience
- 5/5
Beautiful clean property, had a nice drink and small bites at the Library bar while listening to live piano
- 5/5
Thus was my wife’s seventh stay, and she has always enjoyed her visits and the exceptional hospitality displayed by the Warwick’s staff
- 4/5
Sadly the surrounding area has deteriorated with a lot of unhoused individuals roaming the streets and sleeping on adjacent streets. We’ve always appreciated the spacious rooms which keeps us coming back
- 5/5
Great hotel for the price.
- 5/5
We enjoyed our stay in a luxurious suite. Fantastic service. The bar was lovely, although a bit crowded on Friday night, with fabulous live music! Would definitely book again.
- 5/5
The only surprise we had was the parking fee. $45 per night and $20 a day. Other than that it was a five star experience.
- 5/5
When we checked in my girlfriend mentioned that we had met in the Library Bar seven years prior and we came back every year to celebrate our anniversary. Someone from the front dest sent a slice of cheese cake with two bottles of water and a note saying Happy Anniversary. Very thoughtful.
- 5/5
Beautiful property in a great location. Staff very helpful and friendly. Pool is small but nice.
- 5/5
Great location unbeatable price!
- 5/5
Love the property.
- 5/5
The facility is beautiful, well maintained and the rooms were great. We have stayed in a good amount of nice hotels and we will add this one to the rotation
- 5/5
Very nice experience. Clean charming.
- 3/5
The hotel was pretty on the website and reviews seemed good. It was clean and quiet which was what we were looing for. everything seemed fine unless the Air conditioning quit working. Middle of the afternoon we thought it was just the heat from outside. Unfortunately, it lasted all evening. We told the front desk and he told us he would send someone to look into it. We stayed at the bar for couple of hours and when we returned to our room, it didn't feel much cooler. By then, we were too tired to switch rooms so ended turning the fan on. That was disapointing.
- 5/5
great service
- 5/5
My stay was great.
- 5/5
Loved, loved, loved!
- 4/5
Overall stay very nice
- 5/5
Things to note: you will be automatically charged the valet fee- don't pay them at their podium, too (though DO tip!). There is not a microwave in the room. The fridge is actually a minibar. The area is LGBTQIA+ friendly. There are also people without housing along the sidewalks and street crossing. They did no harm. Was asked if I wanted to purchase paraphernalia while walking down the sidewalk. However, felt very safe at the hotel and enjoyed our stay.
- 5/5
Excellent stay. Customer service was amazing. The room service was top notch. The bar in the lobby was above average. I highly recommend this hotel.

- 5/5
My favorite home away from home
- 5/5
My stay was near perfect. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean, large and well appointed, and the location was central to everywhere I needed to go. It will definitely be my hotel of choice for future stays.
- 5/5
Was great! Thanks.
- 5/5
Loved everything about this wonderful hotel! Great location as well.
- 5/5
The hotel is absolutely gorgeous inside and out. The staff was so kind and helpful. They would not let us carry our own bags up to our room on the first day. We will definitely be staying here again.
- 5/5
Beautiful historic property with up to date furnishings, bedding, and technology. Great on-site restaurant and bar, very attentive staff. Nice location with lots of good places to eat within walking distance and the Katy trail is also a short walk away.
- 5/5
I had a wonderful stay at the Warwick Melrose Dallas. The hotel has an elegant, historic charm while still feeling comfortable and well maintained. My room was spacious, clean, and quiet, with a very comfortable bed. The staff was consistently warm, professional, and helpful throughout my visit. The location is also convenient, with plenty of restaurants and attractions nearby. Overall, the Warwick offers a refined atmosphere and excellent hospitality. I would gladly stay here again.

Welcomed with champagne at check-in. Super helpful staff. Spa: fantastic! Room was large, with separate dressing area in the oversize bathroom. Library Bar was outstanding - great vibes, great drinks, great service. Loved all the food - Overall, an extraordinary place to stay.

Suite was spacious but dated.
- 5/5
Everything from valet, front desk (Madison was awesome), room service, and the room were all great. Would absolutely recommend!!
- 5/5
Fantastic stay. Best things were the clean, cozy pool area, shower water pressure and the helpful staff. Lots of nice restaurants and little coffee shops around.
- 5/5
Loved the Warwick! Convenient location in uptown and beautiful property. The suite was very spacious and comfortable. Had a great experience!
- 4/5
Nice historic place, wish you could bring dogs
- 4/5
However, Justin at the pool was amazing! Even though he was super busy he took care of everybody very well. The a/c vent in our bathroom was dripping and a/c would not cool room during the day but after hours would finally cool at night better.
- 5/5
The staff was very helpful, the first room we had there was issues. The bed had a sink hole, the toilet was not functioning and the sink had no water pressure. So, we went to breakfast at the hotel restaurant, and decided to see what we could do about changing rooms. The room they were gonna move us too was way smaller, due to a “different layout”. After not being completely satisfied, I went and asked them again if there was a different room to upgrade to, even if I needed to pay more. This time they knocked it out of the park. The rest of our stay was fabulous and would, go back to stay again if the opportunity arises. Thanks Warwick for hiring such a fantastic staff.
- 4/5
Staff was very helpful. Pool and pool bar was very nice. Not nearly enough lounge chairs for the number of hotel guests. Several places on the floor and other places showed wearing of stain on wood. Restaurant was very good but not exceptional.
- 5/5
The front desk staff were very helpful and welcoming and answered all questions we had. The superstars of the property were each of the valet team. They were exceptional and really understand hospitality as opposed to service. The only weak spot was the poor guy working the pool on Saturday the 13th. He did excellent given what he was given. Super friendly and hardworking. MANY demanding guests at the pool that day. And he handled it all with patience and grace. However, the hotel management should have noticed that he was stretched thin and gotten him some help.

We stayed in the Corner Suite, and it exceeded our expectations. The suite was spacious, beautifully appointed, and offered stunning views from every window. The manager was accommodating, attentive, and highly professional throughout our stay. We also appreciated the hotel's thoughtful layout and unique historical charm. One of our favorite details was the vintage USPS mailbox still attached to the wall near the elevators—a sweet and memorable piece of history. Overall, we had an exceptional experience and would gladly stay at the Warwick Hotel again. Highly recommended!
- 5/5
Beautiful property with a great pool, and it’s close to everything downtown.
- 5/5
Staff was warm, welcoming, and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable - great bed and linens. A historic hotel that felt new and updated while remaining true to its glorious past.
- 5/5
Very clean hotel with a welcoming staff. Wonderful stay.

NO HOT WATER!!!
- 5/5
Highly recommend. Will stay here again
- 5/5
Exceptional staff and exceptional hotel throughout. Perfect location. On site restaurant was fabulous. Spa was amazing.
- 2/5
Now the odd parts... * Water pressure in my shower (8th floor) was barely above a dribble. * My room was never serviced * On checkout day, the staff knocked on the door at 9:30, and proceeded to 3 more times before 11. The third time they just let themselves in as I was coming out of the shower. A little bit awkward to to have house keeping unexpectedly in my room while emerging nude from the shower an hour before checkout time. She was very apologetic at least. Not likely to stay here again.
- 5/5
A classic Dallas hotel, the rooms are large and the beds very comfortable. The prime rib beef in The Landmark is excellent - a must try!

The room had a unique layout that made me feel "well at home". I wish I could have stayed longer.
