When we arrived for market, the AC was out on the bottom floor. We were told it was temporary. We later found out upon checkout that the AC had been out for more than 3 weeks. In triple digit heat, this is extremely brutal for the staff. This affected the front desk, coffee shop, bar and restaurant. First night. Our rooms were nice. Clean. Love the floor plan. We were staying on different floors. Yet, on both floors our ice machine was out of order. In the morning, we had cold showers. Ugh. Second night. My room kept getting hotter and hotter. I realized the AC was out. I called down and was immediately moved to a suite, which was phenomenal. Gorgeous room. Definitely didn’t expect this and appreciated this!!! So as I write this… it just appears as though not enough is being done to maintain this hotel. We’ve decided not to stay again when we return to market in January.
- 3/5
Fortunately the AC in our room and the fitness center was working. The room was very nice and the pool club was great as well. The valet staff and shuttle were great as well.
- 2/5
If I compare this to the New York location, I can only say that they look and feel the same, but that the New York location actually works and the layout and services are better
- 3/5
Staff was great, check in was easy. But the lobby and Common Club lounge area were so hot. It's Texas in August, why isn't that air fixed. Then were were told the pool wouldn't open until 4 which is the primary reason we booked the staycation. Once it opened and we went up it was obviously the condition of the water was the issue, so cloudy you couldn't see the bottom of 3 feet, cups were floating, after an hour they cleared everyone back out, I expect more from this caliber of property. The room was fine, the sitting areas were nice, courtesy car was a big bonus but again we just expected a little more. Staff was great but property upkeep was a disappointment.
- 5/5
my husband and I stayed for 2 nights, the entire staff was polite and very helpful. we enjoyed a pool cabana and were well rested after sleeping in a comfy king bed. i do however think that the $67/night parking was a bit excessive
- 4/5
The pool was not open due to issues and filtration so that was disappointing for us because we were looking forward to that.
- 2/5
Lamps didnt work, light blocker blind was defective, hallways were dirty, elevator buttons were so dirty you hesitate to push the buttons, door men were there to open doors, the mattress was so lumpy I couldn't get good sleep, the faucets were rusted, the bedsheets were tucked in upon check in and they used flat sheets so they often came undone. I wouldn't recommend anyone book this hotel. The brand isn't what it used to be. Sad honestly

Not a lot of amenities.
- 0.5/5
Nothing Far too expensive. Ice machines did not work on any floor. Valet was slow and inconsistent. Food was terrible in Commons and Pool Bar. Service was ridiculous in Commons and Pool Bar. There was trash everywhere at Pool Bar. Pool water was disgusting and filthy. Guests were from outside the hotel and rude/dirty. The bar Service and bartender were so bad and slow. The drink prices are absurd and taste awful. Commons was incredibly hot and had tacky fans everywhere. Dining service was so slow constantly. Rooms were way too small and filled with junk. Hallways were dirty. The neighborhood was very sketchy and dangerous. Not a good value. Not at all what we have come to expect from Virgin. We will not stay here again.

We brought our 12lbs Morkie to stay with us on our staycation here. The staff brought us dog bowls, dog bed and even treats for our little one. Very helpful, and very accommodating. Nearby restaurants made dinner easy and elegant. Highly recommend The Mexican next door.

Very frustrating incidental fees are $400 a room. Didn’t expect that. Hidden fees for a lot. Reached out to Expedia and they were awful to work with. So good luck.

Trendy and smart Just too expensive
- 3/5
That said, I don’t think it was worth the price. The pool was extremely dirty, which was disappointing, and the amenities were very limited. There also wasn’t much to do at the hotel, so the atmosphere felt a bit boring. Overall, it’s a good hotel with comfortable rooms, but considering the cost, I expected better amenities and a cleaner pool.

I slept so well even on the first night!

Rude, disrespectful, security guard was like throwing us out like homeless they treat like bad bar tender was rude no hospitality bad service amenities we gave to pay extra

We booked a one night staycation, just to get some time together as new parents & were very excited to have an entire suite at the iconic Virgin Hotel! The staff was great & very attentive! The room was beautiful as well & had such amazing character! Unfortunately after getting settled in, we noticed some very unfortunate messes/ stains throughout the room… makeup on the closet curtains, stains in the tub & on the floor drain. We also experienced our A/C not working in the room, which seemed to be broken throughout the hotel entirely (as a native texan, those things happen this time of year, so it wasn’t really inconvenient just more frustrating tbh). I think all in all the Hotel is beautiful & staff were great (they did send us up champagne for the tub being stained which we REALLY appreciated) but the idea of checking in a room that’s $600+ (which was $100 more than i was told i would charged when booking) & it being dirty was a big bummer.
- 1/5
Dirty room, bed was not made, dirty towels. Front staff could not provide a functional key for my room. Never provided any key for my stay. Do not recommend.
- 5/5
Great rooftop bar by the pool. Pool color makes it seem like pool is dirty though.
- 5/5
Hotel is a little off the beaten path but is a quick uber to Uptown and Victory Park areas.
- 5/5
Beautiful property. Deluxe suite was amazing but should have had an actual refrigerator and a microwave in the suite. 💙🌹

- 4/5
Check in is at 3pm but the pool closed at 8:00pm which is early for guest that’s staying at the hotel, that was very disappointing for my family. We booked 8 rooms.
- 5/5
This hotel was very hip, I loved the room.
- 5/5
Breakfast was delicious! 😋
- 5/5
The amenities here are unmatched. We spent our afternoon at The Pool Club, which has a vibrant Vegas-style atmosphere and stunning, unobstructed views of the Dallas skyline. We also grabbed drinks and relaxed in the Funny Library Coffee Shop—such a fun and cozy touch! The central location also makes it so easy to get around the city, whether you're heading to a game at the American Airlines Center or exploring downtown. A massive shout-out to the staff for going above and beyond to make our weekend perfect. I highly recommend this hotel for a fun getaway, staycation, or business trip. I'll definitely be back!
- 2/5
This is an over-rated hotel. Lobby and cafe so super hot and humid. Staff wasn’t helpful at all. I think they were in the back somewhere in the back. No amenities and parking is 70$ a night.
- 3/5
We kept our breakfast outside and no one picked it up for a whole day Cups and glasses were not replaced
- 3/5
The staff was amazing but the pool was brown & the house car doesn’t take you anywhere other than Market.
- 4/5
The room was spotless, and the bed and pillows were incredibly comfortable. I really appreciated the unique layout and attention to detail—it felt fresh and functional in all the right ways. My only complaint was that the common areas seemed to have very little air conditioning. The lobby, elevators, café, and restaurant were all quite warm, bordering on uncomfortable. It may have been a temporary issue, but arriving from the Texas heat and walking into warm indoor spaces made for a pretty sweaty first impression. That said, the staff were friendly, accommodating, and genuinely kind throughout my stay, which made the experience even better. Overall, I'd definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.
- 4/5
Fairly clean overall. Good staff.
- 2/5
I was really disappointed with the hotel. The idea was great but just executed badly at every level. The room was dusty. The blinds all ripped so you could just about open or close them. The pillow cases stained and marked. The red sofa again dusty and not looked after. And this was an expensive room. £800 a night. The pool was odd. In the concrete finish that made it look Really not appealing. But more than that, the pool was full of people not staying at the hotel having a party around you. Drinking buckets of alcohol, Who were there just on a day pass. Which killed the atmosphere and again not what you would want or expect for such an expensive stay. The bad and Resturant had the fate. A little sad and empty each night by 9pm as non of the actually quests went and was full of the people from the poll from earlier not saying at the hotel. Killing any nice atmosphere you again would expect from a good hotel. Finally the area. It’s a bit out the way. And a room with a view consisted of looking out over lots of parking lots. Nice idea. Badly done. Would not recommend or stay and maybe would put me off any virgin hotel if there is there thing.

This is my third stay at the hotel. The location is excellent. The staff is great. However, the design of the hotel is showing its wear and tear. The AC system on the lobby level affecting the restaurant, coffee/coworking lounge was not working properly. This is a big problem for a place like Texas. In my room, there were so many light switches and motion sensors, that simply have stopped working, partially working, had flicker lights. This creates a stress on a traveler who is looking for simple comfort, not mood lighting with one working sink sconce. Whoever designed the electric got carried away and now the hotel is stuck with two many items that do not work. Sadly, to fix, would require a major renovation. You can see this design was done during a period where designers thought it would be cool to enter a room into the bathroom, rather than a hallway. Imagine room service being brought through a toilet area in your room. Hopefully by now the hotel and its design teams have terminated the woke DEI staff involved in those designs and have gone back to designs that have survived thousands of years.

Location and staff was amazing and made the stay that much better. Smell from shower drain was not pleasant. Light holes in couch and wear and tear on table noted. And had some issues with Tv but was quickly handled

stayed at this hotel during a business trip, and I was impressed by the attentive service and well-maintained facilities. The fitness center and pool were great for relaxing after a long day. Check-in and check-out were seamless, and I appreciated the quiet atmosphere."

Overall, it was a pleasant stay. The check in and check out was easy and the valet service was great. The room was bright and clean, but the shower door wasn't sealed properly so the water leaked out and drenched the bath mat. The mattresses could have been better as both of them caved in a bit- we stayed in a room with two queen beds. The location was close to cool restaurants and coffee shops. I would stay there again.

In addition, I was not pleased with the fact that I was double charged and had to deal with the headache of that. All the staff on hand were exceptional!

Although I had a high floor, there was a guest that had a dog in their room, very close to mine, and the dog was barking all night, long while the guests were out every night. In addition, I was not pleased with the fact that I was double charged and had to deal with the headache of that. All the staff on hand were exceptional!

A lot of the buttons in our suite to control the lights, curtains, etc. did not work. Staff was great. The floors in the restroom and bathroom could have been a lot more cleaner esepically considering we were in one of the most expensive suites.

Hotel design was great, staff were all very friendly and helpful, the restaurant was beautiful and had great cocktails. The pool was great. Rooms were very well stocked, nice shampoo and conditioner and body products, qtips and makeup remover wipes in the room. The design of the room was great for bags and getting ready. Would 1000% be coming back to this hotel when I’m in Dallas. Also great coffee shops near by and they have a house car to bring you within a 3 mile radius of the hotel which is super conviennent if you don’t have a rental car.

The staff is amazing. From the valet, Simone, and Troy all made me feel welcomed and special! The property makes you feel that you are in Vegas. I forgot to mention when checking out that the only thing was my room’s sewer smelled strong at times. Other than that I would stay again
- 5/5
Loved the hotel. The bar and restaurant were excellent. Troy, our bartender, was super friendly, as were the other wait staff. Try the Mexican next door. Some of the best Mexican food I have ever had!

We had a wonderful time!! The hotel is amazing!! what’s a great places to get pictures too! The staff is very friendly
- 1/5
Horrible don’t ever stay here there’s absolutely no AC 90° weather. They only provide fans there’s no AC on the whole property and then there’s no water practice. You can’t even take a nice shower and then that stinks. The water doesn’t even go down in the drain drain that goes really, really slow and the place is disgusting. Don’t let the picture fool you

Clean room, unique design, nice view of downtown Dallas. Front desk was efficient with check in and valet was superb.

The rooms are spacious. We really enjoyed the coffee shop and bar downstairs. We went during Christmas and they really outdid themselves with the decor. It was perfect
- 3/5
The vibe of the hotel is great! Loved the decor and finishes. However, there were multiple things about our room that gave me the “ick” - sizeable stain and black marking on the giant lamp, several scratches on the coffee table, orange stains (bleach?) on the purple vanity chair, and white calcium build up on the red shower head. This is in addition to the bathroom light and window shade not working - but those two things were fixed as soon as we notified the front desk. Overall, the hotel just felt very unclean. The restaurant was also dirty - stains on the chair, hair in the chair, food on the ground, markings on gold pipes above bar that looked like handprints?! Finally, our drinks from the Commons Club were great, but the food was inedible. My husband got the Cuban Hash which looked like cat food or some weird meat and did not taste good. This hotel could be at the top of our list with just a little more attention to detail and cleanliness! But for the price, it was disappointing.

Also, at $360 a night (on the cheap end), the toilet seat was not in the best condition, I couldn't get the drawer safe to close unless I created a lock code for it so I hit my shin on it several times walking through, and the AC didn't work well or cool the room well. I ended up turning on a little fan I brought and putting it in the bed with me, and this was in December when I stayed. Also, if you're going to charge $17 for a plate of Parmesan truffle fries, I should probably be able to taste the actual Parmesan or truffle. The plate came and the fries weren't very hot, and there was barely anything on them.

The room was great and the front staff was polite and welcoming! Wish the bar stayed open later because the bartenders were very rude when we came down stairs after our Christmas party for an after party.

Everything good except smell of pillows and pillows linen. To me, the smell was overpowering dirty pillows or dirty pillow linens could have been. I used towels to mask some of the smell in order to sleep. My husband wasn’t bothered by it but I was. Other than that everything else in room was good. Room in good condition
- 5/5
Room was suoer welcoming and clean! I especially loved the foyer area that allowed for privacy.for bathroom/sleeping activities!
- 4/5
Hotel was nice. Good vibe, very dark room but that goes with the ambiance of the property. Staff at checkin was nice. Went to the bar for a drink and both the restaurant and bar had an unappealing mildew smell. On top of that after about 10 minutes with no one offering to take our order we left. Rooms were fun but overall a bit pricy for the current state of the hotel.

Every staff member was so friendly. From check in to bartender, to wait staff, and barista. Room was clean. Bar, restaurant and coffee shop were all awesome and eclectic. Easy access to American Airlines Center. Will definitely stay here again.

They need better lighting. The lighting was very poor, however, the shower was the best shower I’ve ever had, but due to bad lighting. It was difficult to get ready and function properly. The lighting was shut on and shut off. It was not comfortable.
