Reviews

Some guests reported problems with maintenance and cleanliness in the rooms and fitness center.

Beddings and toiletries.

All elevators were broken. All ice machines were broken except the 4th floor and up. Room was clean minus the carpet. The hallways were dirty and disgusting.
- 5/5
Great customer service
- 1/5
I took a loss and didn’t check in. When you walk in the building is filthy, from the floors to the glass doors. I managed to use the guest bathroom before leaving, it had urine and tissue everywhere. The type of guest were questionable as well, it seems as they were selling drugs in the parking lot. Needless to say I would NOT recommend this hotel to my worse enemy. Disgusting
- 1/5
Warning. Do not stay there. Between Expedia and the hotel I was charged for 2 nights I did not stay. After 2 hours it was so bad there I walked out. Was charged anyway
- 3/5
A complete renovations.
- 3/5
They really need to clean to outside trash receptacles more frequently.
- 4/5
Great breakfast, clean room although the bed had a sink in it! The hallway carpet was stained and some of the room doors had dents in them as if they had been kicked. Otherwise my stay was good.
- 1/5
Es de lo peor como estaba lleno por un evento tomaron mi reservation y me dejaron sin unidad
- 1/5
Bathrooms horrible !!! Room so horrible!!! Broken elevator! How can a building hold one elevator? So awkward!!! I had to end my stay within 2 hours. Spent so much to experience such treatment. I wish I can give 0 star!!!
- 1/5
There was dead roaches in the hall ways no ac in the hallways what so ever. Our towels had stains tub had peeling paint. The front desk people gave me 6 sets of card keys and none of them would open my room Not even the house keepers main key card would open my room. I had an event which is why I was in town and I couldn’t even get in my room so I was late to my event by 2 hours.
- 4/5
It was dated but clean.
- 2/5
Call before booking… elevator, ice machine, door locks were broken.
- 5/5
Elevator was out of order and being worked on.
- 3/5
To make matters worse, the air conditioner in my room wasn’t cooling properly, making the room very uncomfortable. I was leaving before checkout anyway because I had to be at the hospital by 6:00 a.m., so I made the best of the situation. I’ve always enjoyed staying here, but this property could definitely use some upgrades and better maintenance. I hope these issues are addressed because the location is very convenient.
- 5/5
The staff was wonderful. The hotel was clean, just old.
- 1/5
It was musty, moldy, dirty, ice machine was full of crap in drip pan see the images attached. The owner should be ashamed of being within the Wyndham family of hotels, this is a rundown property and not at all habitable as far as I am concerned.
- 1/5
Dirty smelling hallways. Only one elevator. Dark hallways and smells like weed. This place needs to be closed down or completely remodeled.
- 4/5
I am traveling as a solo woman with my two pets. My main objective was to feel safe, which I did. I was in a pet friendly room that was carpeted. In multiple spots the carpet was torn up, and the bathroom had a bit of hair on the ground. Besides those two things, I thought the cleanliness overall was good.
- 4/5
We were so happy that they were able to take us in last minute. Our booked hotel had computer problems and check anyone into rooms. The only problem was they only had one elevator working. At the other end of the building.
- 4/5
The sign for the entrance is barely visible, one of the elevators was down, and it's kinda hard to get to the property, but it was sufficient for what we needed it for.
- 4/5
The elevator wasn't working had to go to the end of the building to go down one level to walk the hallway back to the opposite side where was my room
- 2/5
Needs remodeling/ deep cleaning
- 1/5
Unfortunately, we did not have a great experience here. The main elevator was out and we were put on level 1 right by that elevator. From around 7am-1pm, workers would be working on the elevator using POWER TOOLS. It was so insanely loud every single day I was there. There were also harmless bugs in the room. Some sort of beetle that would pop up in the bathroom once or twice a day. The shower head is so low it came up to around my chest so that was uncomfortable. The air-conditioning was actually pretty good, but that is the only good thing I can say about this property unfortunately.
- 5/5
Great area. Great personal
- 3/5
My room was so hot had turned down to 60 and still very hot the hall ways were also hot no air flow on 4th floor .. the elevator was hot too and one was broken and I stayed for 4 night and didn’t get room service at all .. breakfast meal is the following : scrambled eggs sausage cereal fruit and blueberry muffins and juice and coffee

Hotel muy bien ubicado. Amplia habitación. Baño amplio y cómodo. Limpieza adecuada. No hubo servicio a la habitación de arreglo
- 4/5
The easiness of moving around, since the hotel's location was centric to all the places I wanted to visit, and with the price offered it was a good option. Also the attention by the staff was helpful to our stay. The front elevator was not functioning which made thing complicated, but the one in the back was functioning but was slow and it took a while to arrive. On the other hand room 715 had a crack on the window, making impossible to close it properly thus all the sound from the highway ziped in the room.
- 1/5
Got the room . Show up to check in and they try to charge another $75 which we didn’t have. Then they refused to refund out $100 for the room.
- 1/5
I should’ve known when walking to our room. The carpet was dirty in the hallway. Every single door while walking to the room was dirty to each room. Got to the room and it was awful. Mold in the corners of the bathroom tub, pubic hair in the bathroom tub, juice spots or some unknown substance on the air conditioner. The manager was not fair in the front desk. Man was not helpful. I do have pictures if you would like. I was able to get a full refund, but I had to wait until the next day.
- 3.5/5
Breakfast Everything was good
- 5/5
It’s hard to find the entrance to this property. We missed it three times and had to get back on interstate each time. Suggestion would be to have better entrance signage.
- 4/5
Veronica the front desk attendant was absolutely amazing. She was so polite, helpful, very informative. The room was overall nice. I liked how the rooms were corner angled. Very different. Bathroom was decent sized. The doors that separated the bedroom from the sitting/office area was a nice touch. It could use a little TLC though. The room had a smell kinda like a pet smell to it though. Didn't care for that. It could use a bit of some TLC as far as a fresh clean feel but overall a decent place. I would stay again.
- 3.5/5
Key card kept not wanting to work
- 2.5/5
The windows unlocked and opened with absolutely no safety measures. I was on the 6th floor with a curious kid, and it's just overall unsafe for anyone. The carpet in the hallways were pretty bad, the pool area and pool weren't clean or inviting. Our TV screen worked but it had some damage to the screen, it was viewable though. The windows...that's the issue. So very unsafe for anyone.
- 1/5
The room appeared to be clean. But because the hotel itself, the hallway carpet, the doors, everything looked dirty, stained, gross, like nobody's ever cleaned the carpet or clean the doors throughout?. I mean, it was disgusting. I couldn't even sleep. I was so grossed out, but like I said, the sheets look clean. The rooms look clean.I was actually in one room and had to be moved because there was standing water in the tub
- 3/5
Pool out of order. Hot hallways and elevator. Only 1 elevator working.
- 1/5
My husband is scheduled for bypass surgery and we live quite a ways from the hospital, so we chose to stay the night to be at the hospital on time. This Motel was nasty dirty, couldn’t sleep due to all the noise and traffic, the air conditioning was evidently turned off in the hallway and the elevator plus elevator was extremely slow. We paid for two nights and didn’t even stay there the following night, we went across the highway and got another room at a different hotel.
- 1/5
It is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. It was dirty and old, smelled bad, and there was no hot water. The main elevator wasn't working. I got a room on the fifth floor at the far end of the hallway—it was the worst room.

- 2/5
We called the front desk to ask if the pool was open before we all got dressed and went...she said YES it was open... so I got my kids all excited, we change into our swimsuits and head "up" there and guess what??? ITS CLOSED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. This wasn't like ...it just closed today...this has obviously been closed a while. We confronted the lady and she was like well you're welcome to go down there but I wouldn't put my body in the water. Like...what?? She said they don't tell her anything whether it was closed or not ...thanks a lot. The ice machine was not working either. And there was an exit closed too!! What is going on??
- 4/5
Receptionist was not friendly.
- 3.5/5
Location and room price works for me. Good value
- 1/5
This place is very dirty and is not well maintained. I regretted booking it. We only stayed the night because my wife was having surgery in Dallas early in the morning and we are from 2 hours away. It was 2 minutes from the surgery center. I would not recommend.
- 2.5/5
The AC was cold. Upon the arrival the concierge seemed bothered by us. The room we were put in, the AC didn't work and there was foreign bodies in the bed that i won't get into. I called the front desk and asked to change rooms. He said yes. When we went to the front desk, he said that it's summer. As if that was the excuse for the room being hot and AC not working. The next room was better. The AC worked at least. The pool was very cloudy and green in color. Very disappointing due to being middle of July. The shower had mold in the corners and there was hair on the counter that wasn't ours. There's water damage on the window sills causing the wallpaper to peel. Overall the hotel needs some work but worked for the time we needed.
- 1/5
Staff wasn’t very helpful and the room was falling apart
- 4.5/5
I like that it was clean and smelled good as you walked in. The staff were friendly and helpful. Initial room the sink wasn’t working and they quickly changed our room and called to make sure the 2nd room was good. Breakfast was delicious. I was able to request more towels and they provided it. It was close enough to the American Airlines Center without being right in the heart of that area. The entrance into the property…too narrow and easy to miss.
- 1/5
When we arrive there were no carts for luggage. When we checked in there was very little parking. We had to park on the back of the hotel, where the key didn't open the door. We had to walk to the side where that door wouldn't open. We had to carry all of our belongings to the front and up to our room. The carpets were sticky and stained. There was only one elevator working. There were people smoking Marijiana on the floor our room was on and it was overwhelming. The smell was everywhere. When we got to our room the shower had mold in the caulking around the tub. The carpets were sticky in the room. The beds were stained up under the mattress pad, and sheets. The pool was closed. We stayed two nights and the pool never opened, the back door never would open, the side door is coming off the door frame when it finally worked. I wouldn't recommend staying here.
- 3.5/5
Room was fine. Breakfast was ok. My favorite cable channel was not available on the TV.
- 2/5
Location The room smelled like humidity and the carpet was all teared up I requested a room change and they did change my room
- 3/5
The hallways are hot. The elevator is sketchy. The room is decent, it’s getting to the room where you see the lack of care to the hotel. I can see why they do not charge a security deposit. They need to be charged. There was a rat on the back patio.
- 2/5
Dirty, not maintained, not updated in years, lights did not work, weeds overgrown around pool…overall, just nasty!
- 5/5
I plan on staying there again, great location.....
- 3.5/5
the lobby was super hot
- 0.5/5
Nothing, I checked out an hour after I check in Absolutely disgusting. Carpets were absolutely gross. Elevator was out of service (i was told by front desk it had been 5 months). Back door didn’t work either
- 2/5
The refrigerator was warm and stinky. The entrance to the lower floors was unlocked, littered with a mat of cigarette butts, and in need of cleaning and a coat of paint. I never found the ice machine. Noisy on the freeway side, of course.
- 2/5
Carpet for all.the Hotel looks dirty not clean, pool was not cleaned, tv at room it was.almost impossible to see anything it was not a good experience.
- 5/5
muy buena
- 2/5
I stayed for 4 days and not once did the turn over service come in for fresh towels or take trash out, had to leave them outside door to get picked up and had to ask for fresh towels everyday.
- 1/5
Thank goodness for the super helpful young man! He was so understanding of my complaints and communication with him daily over rooms that were opening as check outs happened
- 2/5
In general, rooms and building looked run down. Dim/flickering lights, tissue stuffed in door peephole, etc. Elevator and ice machines broken.
- 2/5
The smell was sooooo bad. Then, the bathroom was dirty. Felt more like a motel with hotel pricing.
- 3/5
Not the cleanest
- 2/5
Hotel was dirty, only one elevator was working. Stains all over the floors. The worst part was the freeway noise. It's right next to the freeway and you can hear everything. Its so loud they put ear plugs(in a wrapper) on the night stand to drown out the noise
- 1.5/5
- 0.5/5
The pictures that were on Booking.com were NOT an accurate depiction of the hotel. The hotel was FILTHY AND DISGUSTING..The manager tried to say that it was a rough few days that's why it was dirty. The carpet nor the furniture has EVER been cleaned. Each room door was scuffed and dirty and trash EVERYWHERE. The first room we were assigned should have been put out of service and the second room was worst. I have pics and video to support. I left immediately and found another hotel. The Marriot was MUCH BETTER. I will NEVER stay at this chain of hotels ever. Anything
- 4/5
Older property, but maintained reasonably well. You can see the wear. We will stay there again
- 2/5
To put it bluntly breakfast sucked. Bacon didn’t look like Bacon. Eggs didn’t look like eggs either the only thing worthwhile was the Texas shaped waffle maker, but had 15 people in line for. We went to Whataburger. Breakfast food. The cleanliness of the hallways. Lingo is overall the property.
- 2/5
The carpets are showing a lot of dirt. There was a heavily damaged car parked in the pick up/ drop off area which did not create a good impression on arrival. There was a random cable lying in the floor if the room next to the air conditioning unit. We were also disturbed on two occasions during the night by a domestic happening in the room next door which spilled out into the corridor. Staff were asked to call Police but I'm not sure they did. Would not stay here again.
- 1/5
I had reservations for 4 nights and only stayed one until I could find other accommodations. They would only refund my money for 1 night. Do not stay here!
- 1/5
First, when we arrived my kids were looking forward to using the pool, we went to the pool only to find it closed and the water green. When I informed the front desk they stated "no it's not." Then they said it would be ready tomorrow, which it was not. Second, when I used the laundry facility the washing machines had clothes in them that had been in place for a while, when I informed the desk to remove the clothes they refused, I removed the clothes to wash only to find that 1 of the washers ate my $3.50 and didn't work. I again went to front desk and they refused to refund me the money and told me to call the 800#, this was no help since it was evening time and no service person was going to come out. I had to use another $3.50 on the one working machine. Third, there was a dirty towel from previous customer found in bathroom. Fourth, the TV remote did not work and could not watch the World Cup until they came out in the evening time. Finally, one of the elevators did not work. Overall, it was a bad stay, the only saving grace was there was one front desk person that handled herself very professionally but the other one and the manager in the back were not supportive at all.
- 4/5
Good breakfast and staff
- 3.5/5
The AC The room and the grass around the property
- 1/5
The cleaning is terrible, the beds are too small and you don't rest because of the mattresses that are very old and at breakfast there were cockroaches
- 3/5
Shower didn't work
- 0.5/5
Close to eye doctor we went to Smoking is allowed in pool area. What appeared to be a homeless man was smoking there. When I asked the staff they said its because it is too dangerous to smoke in parking lot. I was like so it's too dangerous to walk to your car? because everyone has to do that.
- 5/5
Clean room and helpful staff especially if you arrive late in the night!
- 5/5
Price was awesome and Rooms were nice
- 4/5
Good beds and comfortable rooms
- 4/5
Clean room and nice beds
- 4/5
We have stayed here a couple of times. It’s a great location. It’s clean. There’s plenty of parking. The staff is super attentive and the rooms and bathrooms are super spacious. Sadly this time the property had a couple of issues. One elevator wasn’t working and the second elevator that was available was very slow, would skip floors, buttons weren’t working properly, we resorted to using the stairs. Our bathtub wasn’t in the best shape and it was also backed up with a very slow drain. We skipped breakfast this time since the seating area is also the lobby and it was full whether people were eating breakfast or just hanging out.
- 2/5
Front desk lady was rude and took 20 minutes to give me my keys since she refused to help and decided to help everyone else in the lobby, even people who came after me. Room was filthy as well.
- 3/5
Pros: Location was good Good rate Available close parking (free) Breakfast OK Some walkable restaurants Cons: Extremely noisy perimeter AC unit - kept my daughter up. Evident lack of landscape maintenance. 1 of 2 elevators out of service. Worn furniture in room Small TV Question cleanliness of room.
- 1/5
Run down and poorly maintained
- 2/5
It had parking and breakfast. But the rooms has maintenance like the awful smell, lights not working or completely out and drainage issues. The ice maker or the elevator were out of order too
- 2/5
1. Quality of the bed was very poor 2. The rooms were very noisy due to street traffic. They need to work on proper sound sealing given their proximity to highway 75.
- 4/5
Staff great. Room decent. Breakfast good. Decent place to stay.
- 4/5
My mom was very nice, clean, and the bed was soft and comfortable. The hotel itself was extremely reasonably priced, and close to everywhere I needed to be during my trip. I didn’t take part in the continental breakfast, and while I was there, one elevator was out of service. But I’d happily stay here again for the good low rate and location.
- 2/5
The hotel smelled a bit when entering the lobby, like it needed a good cleaning. Staff was friendly. Room was decent, bathroom had some strange residue in the tub. The pool is nothing as pictured, green and slimy-like no regular maintenance or cleaning is done- unusable. We were there less than an hour and decided to checkout and forfeit our 2 night stay because of the condition overall. The check in staff was very understanding and did only charge us the cancellation fee instead of the 2 night total.
- 1/5
loud noise
- 3/5
Everything about the property was great, except the ice machine was down, the elevator was not working and the pool looked like a toxic cesspool.
- 4/5
Nice hotel with large room. About 15mins walk to the DART station in a safe location. The staff were friendly and kindly let me check in early, as I was on a tight schedule. Breakfast was fine too.
- 3/5
The property is a bit outdated, but the room itself was clean and had a pleasant scent. The outside trash cans were full my entire stay. I was traveling from OKC, so when I arrived midday, I had to bring all of my trash inside to throw it away. The trash cans were still full the night I returned, as well as when I checked out, the trash was the same. So I could tell it had not been changed. The staff was friendly and breakfast was easy to get to and there was plenty of space to sit and enjoy my food. The hotel being right by the highway is a big reason why I will not stay here again. They did provide earplugs but it was still very noisy and hard to get to sleep. I also noticed the parking lot towards the back of the hotel is poorly lit. I attended a concert and didn't get back to the hotel until after midnight so I had to park a little further back, which is not an issue. The issue was that it was dark and I still had to walk all the way around the building in order to get inside, that's a safety concern. Check In was a breeze and the staff was really nice. One of the elevators was broken so we were having to use the South elevator. The elevator was very hot and it seemed to have no air circulation. The hotel worked for a day trip where I didn't spend much time in the room, but if you are planning a trip and plan to spend multiple days in Dallas, choose something else.
- 2/5
green pool, no elevator working, no landscaping maintenance, poor overall appearance, remote didn't work for tv properly....
- 2/5
I booked at this location because it was close to Texas Health Hospital, where my husband was having surgery the next morning. Our room was located on the 7th floor facing Interstate Highway 75. It should have been a clue when I noticed the free earplugs on the nightstand. Very loud traffic noises all night. I even used the earplugs, but they were not much help. The bed was way to firm for my liking. The hotel is older and it smelled musty in our room. I sure glad I didn't have to stay another night there. So just be aware if you are not a heavy sleeper this Hotel is not for you.
- 5/5
Enjoyed the stay. Would stay again for sure..
- 2/5
Staff was excellent. Problems we experienced were handled quickly and efficiently. Elevators were broke, entry door cards would not work. Plugs on desk in room did not work. Dark hallway, felt unsafe
- 2/5
2. One elevator was down when I got there, The other went down the day I was leaving, I had to carry my bags from the 7th floor. 3. The property hadn't been mowed or trimmed, for at least a month. 4. The pool was unusable and disgusting. 5. The staff did not care not about any of it.
- 1/5
It was really an awful experience. We really thought it would be a nice place to stay by looking at the pictures, but it was really bad. Not at all clean. The whole hotel was smelling like smoke and the staff was not at all friendly when I asked that we want to cancel the booking and go to a different hotel. They were mean and hateful. This was the first and last time staying at la quinta. I will not recommend this place to anyone. Very bad experience.
- 3/5
The check in staff was very helpful and friendly. The room smelled of urine and mildew. The bathtub had a fairly bad constant drip, the pool area was dirty, and the water was green. The walls are very thin, and you can hear everything happening in a room from the hallway. The room was otherwise clean, and the room served its purpose for the night that we needed it.
- 5/5
We always stay here when we are in Dallas. To us there is no other choice.
- 4/5
The staff were friendly and helpful. A few updates could be made (such as a cabinet coming off of its hinges from wear), but the breakfast made it well worth the price of our stay.
- 2/5
Beds are horrible (mattress). Hallways had an odor, carpet was filthy.
- 1/5
Just no
- 5/5
One of the elevators were not working, and ice machine was out of order.
- 1/5
Pet area in front of air-conditioner causing a smell of urine. Drug addicts running amuck. Room not clean upon arrival. Not notified of three day cleaning policy. After three days requested room to be be cleaned, given attitude. Room still wasn't cleaned. So disgusted left 2 days early after paying for 7 days. This all while my mom lay dying in the hospital.
- 5/5
****
- 4/5
Breakfast was great
- 3/5
Dog barking most of the night in the room next to us. But over all okay.
- 2/5
Clean rooms, comfortable beds. Morning staff the next day, the little girl had a neck pillow comes out of the back office and with an attitude says yes? She did not get her full sleep the prior night. She was in a bad mood. Completely messed up the experience when it was going so well.
- 5/5
Great place at a solid location.
- 1/5
We found hair on the "clean" towels, the elevators were all broken and the pool wasn't clean enough to swim in. The only positive was the front desk workers were very nice and apologetic for everything which was out of their capabilities. Not worth money.
- 2/5
Ice machine didn't work on the 5th floor 1 elevator out of service green water in the swimming pool grass needed cutting over all the property why are they running down this property? nice location
- 2/5
The mattresses and pillows were old and uncomfortable. The rooms were kind of weird, with strange angles and cabinets that didn't close properly. It was unclear how to find a channel on the tiny TV. The pool was closed, likely because of poor maintenance. The AC would cycle constantly, blowing cold air on the bed one minute, then nothing the next, so that it was impossible to find a comfortable level of covers (a common occurrence at cheap hotels). Breakfast was OK, but not kept as well stocked as some similar hotels I've stayed at.
- 3/5
No elevator, only one ic machine at 4th floor, dirty carpet, front desk help alot with info,
- 3/5
Staff were excellent. Too many amenities out of service and pool was absolutely disgusting.
- 3/5
The elevator was gross, the stairs smelled like weed, the ice machines in most of the floors were not operational, the outside was super dirty, the room were OK, the breakfast was OK. I won't stayed there again. The location was OK, but a vehicle had the window broken one day prior of my arrival, when I asked the front desk, he said that happened often in the area..
- 1/5
Both elevators were broken, there were stains on the sheets, they had to leave ear plugs on the bedside table because the highway noise was so loud. An all around terrible stay.
- 3/5
It’s close to the highways so there was constant noise. Only one elevator was working. The overall property needs some maintenance/tlc. There are several stains on the carpets and walls throughout the hotel. It was stuffy.
