HYATT house Dallas/Uptown

Unfortunately, there seemed to be a significant communication issue between the front desk and housekeeping during our stay. Our reservation was for four guests—two adults and two children—but there were not enough towels in the room. After one person in our party actually had to use a hand towel to dry off, I called the front desk the following day and asked for additional towels and/or a room refresh. That request never happened. I eventually had to find housekeeping myself to get clean towels and have our trash removed. More concerning was that while we were away at an event, a hotel staff member entered our room and left a baby crib that we had never requested. When I called the front desk, I was told it had been delivered to the wrong room and was asked to place it in the hallway, which we did. Then, at almost midnight, someone was knocking on our door looking for the crib. Having someone knocking that late at night was frustrating and disruptive, especially with children in the room. The night before, we also had someone attempt to enter our room because they were apparently at the wrong room.

Hyatt House is a perfect lodging for business travel. The rooms are exceedingly affordable, including a kitchenette, desk, den, and bedroom-bathroom behind closed doors. It is clean, parking is easily accessible and they are located a short distance from restaurants. Overall I was very satisfied with the accommodations.

This is a different kind of hotel. Definitely has a homely feeling. It could use some updating but the room was spotless. The lobby has a bar and people are just chatting and catching up. The breakfast is good and the staff is warm and welcoming.

Super clean, great size and nice to have a room to relax in on a couch. Great location, close to food, drinks and museums. Felt safe to walk around uptown area, clean sidewalks. Would definitely return next time in uptown Dallas.

Girl's trip for a birthday weekend, everything was great! A time was most definitely had. Location was exceptional, close to everything we needed & planned to go.

Just in for the night, gave apartment vibes compared to a true Hyatt experience. Location was great but probably would just spend the extra money to stay somewhere else next time.

Clean basic hotel and it looks like they are refreshing the floors and rooms. I stayed in Dec 2025 and the room I had was a little tired, but my room this time (08/26) had fresh carpet, paint and the bed was very comfortable.

Easy walking distance to the American Airlines Center for our concert we were in town for!! Spacious room with everything we needed. The “waffle lady” at breakfast was the sweetest and most caring person.

The staff here were amazing! Front desk/check in were kind and efficient, and Tammy during breakfast service was especially helpful! She turned on cartoons for my girls, helped us make waffles, gave them wayyyyy too many sprinkles :), and even found more bacon for my 3 year old after service ended. Too notch!

The property was very clean with no odors. Parking was easy. The beds were advertised as queen size but they looked like full size. I’m a tall guy so they were a little too small for me.

Good breakfast. Well equipped room (fridge, large microwave oven). Parking floor can be accessed from the room floor. Expensive parking ($41 for a night).

Thus place is REALLY close to Katy Trail. We walked to it twice each day we were in Dallas. The pool was closed most of the time we were there, so did not get to use it. The breakfast head a huge spread with lots of options. The front desk staff was always very helpful and kind.

We stayed here for a concert. It is within walking distance to the American Airlines Center. Upon arrival there was a wait in the check in line. The manager offered us a complimentary beverage while we waited in line. The staff was super nice and accommodating! We always stay here for concerts!!!

Even though the builing looks very old on the outside, don't let that stop you from making reservations. The rooms were excellent and completely redone. There are full kitchens in the rooms which was a pleasant surprise. The staff was excellent. I highly recommend this hotel.

The room was very good! Although the tub did drip water all night long! And the excess water from the air conditioner, drained in the tub! This left a bad sight in the tub! We just didn't use the tub for anything! Everything else was good! The clerk that worked the night shift was more interested in what was happening on his computer, than the customers! He didn't have a pleasant attitude! But overall, a very good stay!

Everyone was awesome. Billy was very nice to my kids during happy hour and ensured we had everytjing we needed. Its a very busy area. Some staff seemed annoyed at things, but still helped. We didnt ask for much of anything.

We stayed here a week prior to this visit and the property was in need of a good cleaning. Overall, still a great value and was a nice stay, but just needed a refresher. It seems that they did just that though throughout the week and when we got back, the hot tub and pool seemed like they had been cleaned, the stairway we used smelled much fresher, and overall just seemed brighter. This is a very nice hotel with great staff.

I loved that it was a studio suite, with your own kitchenette and the bedroom was separate it was very clean and nice, the staff was very helpful and knowledgeable.

Reception: Almost every employee I interacted with seemed to have an attitude. Whether it was checking in, asking about sth, or requesting housekeeping, the interactions felt unnecessarily unfriendly. There were no welcome gifts, not even complimentary water. When I asked for housekeeping, I was told, "You have to request it before 11 am." Honestly, if I'm staying at a hotel, I expect my room to be cleaned daily without having to remember to place a request every morning. That policy felt very unusual. Lobby: The lobby had none of the little touches you usually expect. There was no coffee or infused water, and even the water station often didn't have cups available. Breakfast: Weekday breakfast is supposed to run until 9:30 am, but if you arrive before 9:00, there's already a good chance they'll be out of waffles (the only pastry available, btw), along with several types of bread and fruits, and they didn’t even bother to restock any of them, see attached photos. Coffee was usually lukewarm or cold, and there wasn't a single vegetable option available either. Room Design: The room layout was odd. The TV wasn't facing either the bed or the sofa; it was awkwardly placed in the middle of the room, making it uncomfortable to watch from anywhere. If you plan on watching TV, be prepared for a sore neck.

The charge for parking was outrageous!! $81.00 for 2 nights is ridiculous! It’s a short walk to the American Airlines Center, but if you have a problem with hills, it’s not made for walking.

We really enjoyed our stay here. The accommodations were perfect and it was very close to the American Airline Center. We were able to walk to and from our concert and felt safe. We will definitely be back when we are attending anything in the future at American Airlines Center.

I was very pleasantly surprised at the size and layout of my room, it felt like a studio apartment! Staff were very friendly as well. I felt safe in the hotel and in the area in general, there were a lot of families at the property and the pool was lively! Would recommend to anyone

The location was perfect for the venue we were attending but the traffic noise was pretty loud in our room.

We got a mail two days before my check-in about the $35 parking charge within the hotel.. I think it’s quite expensive.. even in New Jersey or Jersey City. It isn’t this steep. Check-in process was smooth. Service was good… The room was extra extraordinary for the price.. bed was comfortable and they also had couch and a mini kitchen.. though I didn’t use that much. I think it’s a great value for a family with kids visiting in Dallas… they also had a nice breakfast in the morning, which was good.. I didn’t eat much but just had a coffee.. they also had a nice swimming pool and a gym.. Overall, a good stay . 4 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️

Overall, our stay was great or us, offering good value for money. The location of the hotel was great for us with good access to restaurants, bars and the renowned Katy Trail. The breakfast was adequate, but Tammy made every morning enjoyable with her bubbly personality and friendly manner. She really is an asset to the establishment and always keen to keep guests happy. The fitness room could be better equipped (an additional workout bench would be great). We would definitely stay again.

Room was great, spacious, clean, we arrived checked in and given clear instructions. Daily parking fee $35 + tax for the stay if you have a vehicle. We came for a concert at the American Center, location was near and easy to drive to.

The hotel is centrally located, and the attached parking structure is convenient and easy to use, There is daily charge for it, I believe $35. The property could use a little updating, but it was comfortable, the staff were helpful and the included breakfast buffet was okay.

Our bathroom needed leak repair work done. Two panels were adhered to the ceiling but the leak was not repaired- just covered up. There were many rooms vacant, but we were given this room with the bathroom leak which was also a room on the corner of a busy street with more traffic noise than we would have liked.

The room, couch, kitchen and dishes were clean. Staff was courteous and helpful. Parking garage was safe and all easy ti use. We will be staying here again.

Ms. Tammy made our stay amazing from checking to breakfast! She was a true depiction of exceptional service! We loved the location and ability to walk to our event at American Airlines Center.

The full kitchen was a pleasant surprise, and the room was clean. The hotel staff were kind enough to run my dirty glasses and plates through the dishwasher. The breakfast layout had good variety and quality as opposed to the cardboard eggs that you often find at hotel breakfast buffets.

Overall, a good place that's centrally located in Dallas. The suites are good but some people may find them a bit dated. Breakfast was below average though. Nothing worthwhile. Check in and check out were very smooth though.

Location was amazing! Easy walk to american airlines for our concert and really close to katy trail. The hotel in general is a bit outdated though. It was older looking than what I was expecting for location. But staff were really nice and garage parking felt very safe. Just wished it was more updated.

Clean room, liked the location but only downfall is paying for parking. Other then that, parking seems safe but $42 per night is a little high.

Everything was very clean, the decor was cute, and the staff was professional and accommodating—they even allowed us a late checkout. Anytime we needed anything, it was handled quickly. They also offer a daily happy hour, a clean gym, a nice pool, and a good location which were great perks. Overall, it was a really enjoyable stay and both my boyfriend and I loved it. Highly recommend!
