Reviews
The hotel staff is consistently praised for their friendliness and helpfulness. The location is also a highlight, being close to downtown attractions and restaurants. However, some guests have issues with the room size, noise levels, and cleanliness. There are also mixed reviews about the breakfast service and the value for money.

Air conditioner did not work in any rooms I got moved to. Very hot environment.

For anybody that enjoys history they put the hotel history in your checking pack and I was surprised to learn it was Conrad Hiltons first hotel to Wear the Hilton name. Our room was small but comfortable. We were attending a concert at DosEquis Pavillion and it was an easy $16 uber ride to the show. The Majestic threatre is right around the corner so it would be perfect if attending a show there. Easy access to everything down town and the staff were engaging and helful with ideas of where to go to dinner or breakfast as well as having a restaraunt on sight. Only negatives were loose hair stuck to the shower head in our bathroom so cleaning staff could probably use some detail supervision, but not a huge issue of coarse and the neighborhood does get loud durring the evening hours, but the hotel provides ear plugs on your bedside if you need them. I can sleep through a storm so it was ok just took me a little longer to get to sleep, but not a deal breaker for sure. Overal good experience.

Clean rooms, hallways, elevators and lobby even during construction activity. Staff were very helpful, professional and friendly. We will definitely stay here again.

My daughter and I travel to Dallas from Shreveport frequently to see concerts. We only stayed 1 night but next time we will book at Tge Indigo. We were graciously upgraded to a king suite. There was a separate sitting area from the bedroom. There was a great comfy mattress and all the typical hotel accommodations. I recommend this hotel to everyone. They are renovating and I can’t wait to return!

What I didn’t like was that the room didn’t seem to be fully cleaned. The floors didn’t seem to be mopped correctly, and the room could have been wiped down better because there was dust. I also saw a roach in the bathroom, which was definitely concerning.

All of the staff were wonderful and made me feel welcome!

We were upgraded to a suite possibly due to the hotel doing renovations. In the suite there seem to be a stench coming from the plumbing. The hotel staff was accommodating with trying to alleviate the smell.

I love how all the staff was warm and welcoming. I appreciated the location. The water went off on Monday, July 20th at 9am. I had a later flight that day and would have appreciated more rest time before having to fly. Unfortunately, I had to get up early to shower as there would be no water. This is something individuals should learn at booking not when you check-in.

This was my first time staying, but according to staff they just completed a remodel. All the staff were very kind and helpful with a smile, even opened doors as we came in and out. Our room was clean and comfy, and a great place to rest after a busy day. We had delicious burgers from the restaurant downstairs and again, all the staff were very kind and accommodating. As a single Mom with her teen, I felt very safe there as well. I would absolutely stay here again!

La ubicación es lo mejor, cerca de muchos restaurantes y en una zona segura
- 5/5
They were in the middle of renovating the lobby and bar area which should look great when finished but made it a bit unwelcoming due to the fact that it wasn't finished and folks were coming and going getting it ready. Great location!
- 5/5
Loved this hotel. Great location and the staff were so friendly and helpful. Ricky on reception was great and Sean on valet. Everyone was great but these two stood out to us.
- 5/5
Everything at the hotel was great, some of it was still under renovation but that didn’t effect us as we were eating out anyway
- 5/5
My flight got severely delayed and the staff really helped, and accommodated me! Truly the best hotel I’ve stayed in.
- 5/5
Beautiful hotel even with the renovations going on. Check in easy, clean rooms, beautiful view from the windows. Bathroom hanging mirror was falling off, called front desk and they upgraded to a new room free of charge. Valet parking is the way to go.
- 4/5
Lobby was under massive improvements but stay was still comfortable and restaurant was very good. Attentive and friendly staff.
- 4/5
The lobby was undergoing renovations so it was a mess but location was good and close to good restaurants
- 4/5
Hotel is still largely under construction. Hopefully will be done soon looks like it will be quite modern. Staff was friendly and courteous
- 5/5
Awesome hotel! Definitely going back. The Staff were very nice and helpful.
- 4/5
The space is beautiful and very clean. The hotel is undergoing a complete renovation and is in the last stages. It was very cool to watch the transformation even while we were there, and the result is sure to be stunning. However this did lead to a few inconveniences during our stay including the water being shut off for approximately 2 hours. There was communication delivered regarding this, but it was unexpected. The hotel was a great location for our events and is very walkable to a lot of downtown amenities. Overall we would stay here again!
- 4/5
Room was clean
- 4/5
I think this would have been a great hotel if there wasn’t construction and I hadn’t found out about the construction two days prior to the trip. The hotel is being renovated, the lobby is currently being worked on , construction is loud and was loud when I checked in. The people were friendly. The valet people were my favorite people and amazing. The room was beautiful and comfortable. It’s in a great location walking distance to everything.
- 5/5
The staff was amazing and the hotel itself was absolutely beautiful. Our room was beyond expectations. 10/10 stay.
- 3/5
Staff were all very friendly and helpful. However they’re doing a complete renovation of the lobby. Which wasn’t listed anywhere on the Expedia listing for this hotel. There was no bar, restaurant, snack bar, or lounge area. I would have picked a different hotel if I knew they were going to be doing all of that while we were there. The check in desk was a folding table.
- 3/5
I would stay there again after construction is finished but not before
- 4/5
Amazing staff! We enjoyed our stay and the view. Would definitely return.
- 5/5
Great location for an overnight stay in downtown Dallas.
- 2/5
When I arrived to check in, I was billed a different amount than what was provided on hotels.com, including a deposit of $100 that was not notated on the app. This hotel is still under construction so amenities are not available at this time. Hotel is also located downtown so you MUST pay extra for parking, valet with the hotel or find your own.
- 5/5
Everyone was amazing. The stay couldn’t have been any better! Thanks for accommodating me.
- 3/5
It was clean, but the room was tiny and certainly over priced. They are going through renovations, but they could at least have a place to purchase water, soda or something.
- 5/5
I’ve stayed a lot of places in the Dallas Metro area and this tucked off hotel is one of the best days I’ve ever had. I wish I had plans to be there longer so I could stay more nights very courteous staff very nice amenities and very great location.
- 5/5
Property would definitely hospital back
- 5/5
Great room and staff. They are doing a complete renovation in the lobby and restaurant. But I think it will be a great hotel once it finishes.
- 5/5
great experience even with the work that is going on there. staff is excellent and stay was peaceful and restful!
- 5/5
Carla, Sean, Jonathan and Thomas (valet and front desk are amazing. They were all super helpful and such a pleasure to talk to. Will definitely stay there again!!

Staff was very attentive and friendly. Location was great.

Great
- 5/5
The staff was incredibly friendly, and the building itself is a beautiful century-old hotel. The Reality: While the website noted that the restaurant would be under renovation until May 1st, we arrived on that date to find the entire first-floor lobby still completely tarped off and under full construction. There was no bar available, and the restaurant had been relocated to a second-floor banquet room with a very limited menu. Final Thoughts: It didn't necessarily ruin our stay, but it was disappointing to miss out on a nightcap or the beautiful public spaces shown in the advertisements. I just wish there had been more transparency that the entire ground floor was a construction zone with no clear end date in sight. Also, there is a parking garage across the street for half the price of valet-I'm glad I read parking reviews prior to arrival.
- 5/5
There was some construction going on but I slept great! Walked to the Deep Ellum neighborhood without any issues.
- 4/5
Our room itself was very nice and really small - two beds made it really full. Construction was underway at the hotel so no lobby area. Restaurant and bar were moved to a conference like room, served the purpose but no atmosphere. After construction is complete, we would stay there again.
- 5/5
The hotel was under renovation, so there really weren't any amenities. The room was very clean and comfortsble. The staff members were all very welcoming and helpful. Especially Dora.
- 4/5
The hotel was awesome even though it was in the process of being renovated!
- 2/5
Room was small and dirty and very loud.
- 3/5
Had a noisy neighbor the issue was never resolved. Did not get any sleep. This is more of an internal problem of how to deal with noise complaints.
- 3/5
The hotel and room were clean. Staff were excellent. I hate complaining about food, but for what we paid for breakfast I have to say it was disappointing. The potatoes were cold and hard. Not much to choose from either. Parking is $55 per night to valet. Another factor that wasn’t mentioned prior to booking
- 3/5
I was not impressed with this hotel. I was not notified about ongoing construction during my stay. Dora kindly provided breakfast for us. The cleanliness of the room was ok, the window behind the bathroom door had fingerprints and smudges. The wallpaper in the hallway was coming loose as soon as you stepped off the elevator; we stayed in room 810. Safety was a concern, as we did not need to use our room key to access our floor. I have stayed at other Hotel Indigo locations, and I found this one disappointing.
- 5/5
The hotel is undergoing renovations, so the lobby was small and the restaurant had been moved (and menu limited). However, the room was lovely, staff was fantastic, housekeeping service actually came every day (which is rare in most hotels these days)! I would definitely stay with Hotel Indigo again.
- 5/5
Room was nice and comfy, minus the construction out front it was perfect but still very accommodating.
- 5/5
Unfortunately the hotel is still under construction and management did an excellent job in communicating that and what to expect during our stay. I chose to stay here because of the excellent reviews but it is tough to look past the construction work that is being completed. I do believe once everything is 100% complete, the experience of staying at Hotel Indigo will live to up to their reviews and I would be happy to book another stay here. Thank you again staff, you're doing a phenomenal job!
- 3/5
Property was being renovated and the elevator service was horrible !
- 4/5
Not sure about amenities as all lobby under construction but room and staff were great. Location was also very nice with restaurants and sites within walking distance.

The staff was very polite and helpful the area was very lovely and the room was very clean and well organized flyed form Canada and this was a lovely experience would definitely come back to the hotel in the future
- 1/5
There was construction during our stay. It was noisy and we lost hot water.
- 3/5
Everything was good, only issue and we cant really blame them was all the construction.
- 5/5
Front desk staff was amazing.
- 4/5
Goodl location in downtown Dallas. Hotel is going through a major renovation which means no lobby, no bar or restaurant.
- 5/5
The room was clean and bigger than expected! It was very comfortable and the perfect location.
- 4/5
The hotel was under renovation and the check in signage poor and staff nowhere to be found.
- 4/5
Under construction in lobby area
- 4/5
Clean and modern with history

Wonderful experience! Very clean and good quality of staff

Bldg was under construction.

The hotel is under construction. Nothing was open. It was in bad shape.
- 5/5
Clean room.
- 4/5
It was fine, no bar or food on site though and paying for bottled water every day was skimping.
- 5/5
Room was very clean, staff was super nice and helpful.
- 4/5
Good overall
- 4/5
Decent room, mostly clean, friendly staff.
- 5/5
Clean and comfortable.
- 2/5
Staff was great. Hotel should be closed while they renovate. No common area to sit while you wait. People outside your window hammering on the facade starting at 8am. Should have been notified by Expedia before I booked it. Didn’t get a notification until a few days prior. The hotel should have offered free something to put up with all the chaos. Perhaps in a year it will be a great place but avoid it if you can until they finish.
- 3/5
Room was generally clean and every member of staff was professional, courteous, and helpful. The staff is outstanding. The problem are the rooms. No microwave or full length mirror. If someone is using the bathroom, you'll have to wait to use the only mirror in the room. Clothes closet is also in the bathroom. Biggest problem is it's hard to get sleep. Hotel provides free earplugs because the walls are negligible. We could clearly hear every conversation in surrounding rooms and hallway. Our nephew was able to find our room because he could hear my voice all the way down the hall and we were having a normal conversation.
- 5/5
Very clean and quiet. Awesome staff!
- 2/5
I travelled to Dallas for a medical procedure. I chose this hotel because of location to the surgical center and amenities. When we arrived we found out the first floor was under construction, which meant no restaurant. I would not be able to walk much after my surgery and this was a big inconvenience. We had to use door dash. There was no mention on the website, our reservation or any other form of communication that there was construction. Would have been nice to know so I could select a better fit for my needs. Also, there was no discount pricing for the room.
- 5/5
Amazing staff, super quiet. Excellent for solo female traveler.
- 5/5
Very quiet despite the construction, clean and will use again!
- 3/5
INCREDIBLE staff, comfy beds - giving 3 stars just because the rooms are very small so is the bathroom / keep in mind parking is about 44 per day
- 4/5
Be mindful that the walls are thin in the room so if your neighbors are coughing early morning in the rooms, you can hear that. Otherwise great location and clean room with lots of amenities
- 5/5
Room was spotless. Breakfast was great. Staff was friendlier and attentive to my concerns especially when I had WiFi issues.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the front desk staff was very friendly
- 5/5
Room was clean, staff were very friendly and helpful.
- 4/5
Bathroom was clean and functional. However, water pressure in the shower was weak. Access to the bathroom would be greatly improved with the inclusion of a pocket door. The current door opens into the closet space, meaning that it had to be closed to access the closet from inside the bathroom. The hotel lobby was open and spacious. Hotel staff members were friendly and accommodating. Food in hotel restaurant was good.
- 1/5
The whole thing was awful we were overcharged they locked us out of our room for 3 hours so we didn't even get breakfast because our breakfast vouchers were upstairs. We stay in hotels often and this is by far the worst we have ever been treated, The service was horrible that woman should not even be working the front desk and even after I told her that my husband just had a heart transplant and does not need this stress she kept on adding more and more money still wouldn't let me in the room it was ridiculous. I believe it was a racial thing and this is discrimination at it's finest because while stuck in the lobby for 3 hours with my dogs I noticed that we were the only white people staying in this hotel and everyone else is black and she treated them amazing every single one of them! And then when we ask for a receipt because we paid over $500 to stay one night in a hotel when we booked through hotels.com the room was 139 they wouldn't even give us a receipt!!!
- 5/5
The room was clean, the staff both at front desk and dining area were very courteous. I'd recommend it and definitely would stay again.
- 4/5
The stay was very nice and very pleasant. I was just unaware that there were no kitchen appliances available in the rooms. I’m not complaining, however I truly believe that it would make a great addition for couples rooms.
