Aloft by Marriott Dallas Downtown

It was clean kind of a hipster place, and the staff was amazing It was clean. The property was taken care of and there was a big parking lot. No parking garage.

It was a very cool hotel. Good vibes. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and bigger than we expected, which is always a good surprise! Only thing we did not like was the bathroom set up. The shower and toilet were together behind a pocket door. The rest of the bathroom was open, no door. We had 4 people in the room changing clothes and stuff, so we would just have to announce before walking around the corner lol. Otherwise, we liked the extra "dining" area and had a pretty good view. It was fairly easy to find and navigate around. There is self-parking at the hotel, which was convenient since we were in and out a lot. It is also right across from a park that looked very nice. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to walk around and explore this trip. We would stay here again.

I actually really enjoyed this hotel! I was impressed by the cleanliness and evening activities offered. The staff was friendly. I was not expecting the pillar in my room, but actually enjoyed that the building had some history! The room was also very spacious.

Easy to get around downtown Dallas. Lots of historical hotels within walking distance very clean rooms super accommodating. Wish parking had more security

With that being said, there are not enough words to express how awesome the staff here is! Every single person in this building goes above and beyond to a level that far exceeds any hotel I have ever stayed in. Even things that I had forgotten in terms of my electronics, they were able to give me a charger at a reasonable price. They helped me with printing. Again, the food and beverage staff service is absolutely out of this world! The food is amazing. If you are coming to the downtown Dallas area, this is the best place to stay. I wish that I could review this with ten stars instead of only five!

I always love the location! Crazy but I don't like where the pool table was moved and I don't like the height of the pool table.

I got a ticket for using their parking even after giving them my license plate information like I was told a genuinely horrible hotel please avoid. They also charged me an extra fee that was never mentioned and had a broken toilet. I got charged a $50 dollar fee that was not mentions and I got a ticket for using their parking a horrible hotel to stay at please avoid. The toilet also didn't work the entire stay and would constantly flush on its own

I can’t say that there was anything I liked about but the hair/body wash Foul smell in the hallway Water spilled to the restroom floor from the shower Lighting in restroom and shower was horrible Old equipment throughout the room such as tv/remote furniture etc

The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The gentleman at the front desk had a great attitude, was genuinely happy to help, and made our stay even more enjoyable. Excellent customer service like this makes a big difference, and we truly appreciated the warm hospitality. We were very disappointed with our stay. We drove 2 hours and 30 minutes because we wanted to spend time swimming with the family, but the pool was much smaller than expected and it wasn't clean. That was the main reason we booked this hotel, so it was frustrating. As a business owner myself, I know how important it is to maintain the amenities you advertise. A clean, enjoyable pool should be a priority, especially for families who choose a hotel based on that feature. The main reason we stayed here was because my wife is Italian and we planned to have dinner at Campisi's Pizza nearby, so the location worked well for us. However, the condition of the pool really took away from the experience. If the hotel were willing to offer some type of voucher or credit for a future stay, I would consider giving it another chance with my family. Otherwise, I don't see us returning.

The beds were extremely comfortable although I was confused about why the sheet on my bed was on top of the comforter. That was not true of the other bed in the room. I had looked online to be able to avoid the trend that I had heard about of bathrooms in hotels often not have doors or even being glassed in, not opaque as bathrooms should be no matter who is staying in the room. I was staying with my teenage grandson so it was especially important that we have a private bathroom. From the photos online, the bathroom seemed to be private, but when we got to the room, we found that the shower had a floor to ceiling, frosted window in view of the bedroom. Why on earth? With the light on, movement can be seen from the shower. What would be the purpose anyway? And pocket doors as the room had dividing the lavatory from the toilet and shower are not as private as we prefer. A full door that rotates on hinges is the way to go.

Staff was very friendly! I was able to check in a little early after a long drive, which was much appreciated. The room and amenities were nice and even though the area was very busy, the room was quiet and relaxing. Would absolutely stay here again. So many good restaurants in walking distance!!!

Visited for our anniversary and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The entire staff was great from the beginning of our stay to checkout. It was a first time experiencing Dallas and we are already planning to return with our kids next time. We’ll definitely be returning to this hotel

The ease of parking and the reasonable price was really appreciated.

The location was good. We definitely felt like the pictures online made it look a little nicer than it was in person. The layout of the room we had didn't make sense and all the lights were tied together on one switch. It was okay, but not really as good as we were expecting.

Again, wonderful throughout the entire hotel but, the condition of the room definitely needs attention.

Clean rooms, housekeeping is great. Very convenient in that it was right next to the convention center. Breakfast could be ordered, snacks were available. Water was very expensive and just two small bottles in the room. Bring your own water. Staff were excellent.

Staff was very friendly and helpful! Assisted in every single thing. Went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stay. The only thing that was inconvenient was the noise, you can hear what is going on in the halls from inside the room.

I've stayed at Aloft Downtown Dallas on 2 occasions and have no regrets! Check-in is a breeze and the gentlemen at front desk made me feel "at home". Rooms are comfortable and I loved the modern, boutique design. Check-out was quick and easy. Enjoyed chatting with staff as they were decorating for Christmas and learned a bit about the history of the historic building that had been restored for the hotel. Highly recommend!!

Amazing hotel in a really cool historic building. Loved the attention to detail and ability to modernize the building while also honoring its past. Room was fantastic and spacious. Bed was comfortable and enjoyed the layout of room. The entire property was clean and well-kept. The pool area was very relaxing and ended up being a nice place to work on my computer and then take some relaxation breaks. Every staff member that we interacted with was very friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. I will definitely return to this hotel if I stay in Dallas again and look forward to staying in another Aloft properties when I travel to other cities.

It was the most comfortable and smoothest stay ever. ALL of the front staff had an amazing attitude that made us feel welcomed. From checking in to our check out. Please look into the time i checked in to the time i checked out because who ever was behind that desk both times deserve a raise! The breakfast lady by the name Reyna was an absolute sweetheart and very attentive to our requests. I will defiantly consider staying here on my trips to Dallas going forward.

Staff was so accommodating and friendly!

The hotel was nice and in a decent location. The room was starting to show some wear though. The shower hot and cold adjustments didn't work well and TV streaming service and wired network connectivity didn't work.

The room was nice and the location was good, but I was woken up past midnight by staff banging on my door. I had requested approximately eight hours earlier, a pillow and blanket. This is already delivered at 7 PM. Due to critical failure and communication between staff, they believed it was a good idea to come, wake me up past midnight for another set of extra pillow and blanket. When I communicated this to management, they deferred the guilt to me in anyway that they could. They offered apologies but nothing else, other than pointing fingers stating that I had requested the pillow and blanket. After explaining to management that while I had requested pillow and blanket, it was already delivered, and I did not request the second set And did not appreciate being woken up out of my bed, being forced to answer the door to staff refusing to leave until I accepted this second round of pills of blankets. Terrible experience for a one night stay prior to having to wake up early for a meeting.
