A/C needs maintenance. It’s not the first time my room was hot . I’ve had problems with ac issues. I should know it needs better maintenance. I myself work as a Technician and I checked the ac temp with my own tool . They said it was fixed when I reported issue but it was the same . I ve stayed there many times and every time I’ve gone back it’s the same issue with ac’s . I’ve had to change rooms in the past . I’m going to try one more time to stay there to see if issue has been addressed.

Also, don't expect to check in before 4pm. Not even one minute!! Even though rooms are available. However, you can't beat the location! You walk right out onto the beach. For this reason it gets 4 stars.

The elevator was rough and concerning and the stairs were closed off so we couldn’t use those instead. Room was nice but hallways need to be remodeled.

The beach view was gorgeous from our balcony! Everyone, my wife and I passed while we were walking on the beach were very friendly. We are already making plans to go back next year.

Well, to start, it needs an upgrade to match the online photos. It needs to be updated. The elevator is too small and noisy. The bathroom doors are barn doors, which are not suitable for a hotel room. The corners of the room need cleaning due to excessive dirt and dust. The bathtub was rusted and stained with reddish marks. The showerhead and water pressure are poor. The walls and ceiling are stained; the light fixtures and sewers around the room are rusty. The air-conditioner base looks like an afterthought. The swimming pool is too close to the bar!!! The same with the outside furniture. Because it's a beach climate, somebody should check it every so often.

Elevator on the right makes weird noise. Bar is loud. My young daughter got to witness a lap dance. No breakfast. Best thing is the beach is right there.

The hotel wasn’t very clean and staff was horrible. Was not helpful at all and had attitude every time you ask them a question.

Hallway carpet was dirty and the elevator was unbelievably small that the luggage cart could barely in the elevator. The restaurant the food was scant and overpriced. The balcony door is defective you could not open the door. You could have locked somebody out from the outside. Did not like sliding door to the bathroom it didn’t feel private enough. The electric outlets on the bedside table don’t work you could not keep the plug in. The book lights on the wall by the bed don’t work. The balcony light didn’t work it’s supposed to be automatic. The bathtub didn’t have the drain plug.

The location is perfect. Easy access to the beach. The rooms were decent but the only downfall was the bathroom. It’s small, the tub had mold and did not drain correctly. It’s gross when you’re trying to rinse off from the day. We never had issues with front staff and the waitresses at the indoor restaurant were super sweet and awesome.

Wouldn’t stay again. Balcony door for suite doesn’t open. Sink plugs up. It’s not worth what you pay.

Expectation management: even though the hotel is a "resort" there is no complimentary breakfast, the restaurant is not identifiable, the food is subpar, and the facilities are not well maintained. The elevator seems like it's seen better days. The rooms do not cool down even when the AC is at 61. Also, the rooms with balconies, the door, and the barendas could use some upgrades.

The only good thing about this hotel is the location. It's right by the beach, however, it was very dirty. We were given a room that was still under "maintenance " after waiting an hour to be checked in. This place was highly priced for what it offered. We were glad it was only one night! But we had a great time at the beach!

I was worried by the reviews I read. But I had a great experience. My family and I enjoyed our stay

The most frustrating issue during our stay was the toilet not flushing properly. It consistently seemed to lack enough pressure to clear the bowl, which is a basic function that should work correctly in any hotel room. I reported it to the front desk twice, but the only solution offered was to send someone up to look at it. As a plumbing specialist, I explained that the toilet appeared to be a residential-style eco/low-flow model and was simply not performing adequately for this type of use. There were several other problems as well. The room phone did not work, and in our room with two queen beds, only 1 out of the 4 bedside/frame lights worked. We also found what appeared to be dried blood on the bed comforter, which was very concerning from a cleanliness standpoint. The bathroom layout was also poorly designed. The sliding barn door hits the hallway light switch when closed, turning the lights off. When open, it covers the coffee bar and mini-fridge area, so anyone exiting the bathroom has to make sure nobody is using that space because the door slides directly into it. The toilet issue was by far the most frustrating part of the stay, and combined with the broken lights, non-working phone, stained bedding, and awkward room design, this was unfortunately a 1-star experience.

My family and I have stayed a couple of times through out the past summers for a couple of years now. This most recent stay was disappointing. The water draining from the building running through the boardwalk smelled of sewage and algae had formed in two places. The inside of the hotel the carpeted hallways needed some cleaning, beyond the normal. The outer walls surrounding the elevator on the 2nd floor seemed as if they were glued together piece by piece. Inside the room, floors were dirty, drywall had cracks in several areas. We did enjoy the convenience of the beach being so close and of the the Anchor Bar of course.

Location It's run-down. Needs to be maintained better. Opening the pool so late in the morning was a negative. Note that they have just a "hot tub". Heated water, no jacuzzi jets. No alcohol in pool area either.

The hallways were absolutely filthy, upon arrival there appeared to be diarrhea on the carpet in the hallway when we were heading to our room. I attempted to call front desk but the phone in the room didn't work. Had to go back down to the front desk to request that they clean the area. The area did get cleaned but the rest of the carpet looked filthy, other areas were clearly not swept of mopped since there was crumbs and other items on the floor. Rooms did not seem to be moped as the floors felt sticky. No one comes to clean while you are out for the day and no one is available to bring clean towels so dirty towels stay in the room, you have to go to the front desk for clean towels, rooms get filled with sand since everyone is in and out from the beach but no one cleans it. Many items in the room was broken or poorly repaired. The door to the balcony was a rusty heavy metal door that was hard to open and slammed shut when you went out. We paid extra for a balcony but did not feel comfortable using it since we had kids with us. there was very little cleanliness, many things falling apart or broken and things that were repaired looked very cheaply done. It felt like a very low level hotel

Location, location, location. The hotel is in a great location but is an older hotel and is not clean. It has a smell and seem understaffed.

Wasnt a super great experience. The room was okay. The bed was super hard, the coffee maker didnt work, the water pressure didnt work, the tv remote didnt work, there was long black hair on the walls of the shower. Im blonde and my husband is bald so. There was a bug in the bathroom, we didnt have a do not disturb sign and stayed multiple nights. Getting extra towels was a chore and a half. They only gave us 2 and made it extreamly difficult to get more. When we complained about all of this they told us they would get back to us with a resolution. Never did. We paid over $600 for 2 nights and the room sucked.

I utilized the online check-in system to pre-register only to show up and have our room taken by someone else. We were moved to a smaller room with queen instead of king beds (family of 4) and were informed that they would have the correct room available to us on the next day. Because we had planned to go sight seeing, we had to completely pack up again and load our stuff into the car to go sight seeing. When we returned on the 2nd night, we were able to get into the correct room, but began having issues with the television (wouldn't turn on) as soon as we got into the room. Maintenance was fairly quick to respond and address the issue, but we continued to have issues with the TV throughout our stay. The room was also unfinished. There was gaps in the wall around the air conditioning unit and where they had created a hallway, they did not flush the outlets so they were just floating off of a counter leg. The staff were very professional during my interactions with them and continued to apologize for the inconveniences, but after checking out, I was still unable to receive any confirmation beyond verbal assurance that my bill would be corrected from the first nights stay and was told that if the manager approves, I could see it within 3 to 5 business days since it was through Hotels.com.

Location right on the beach was awesome! We went to our room after a long day of traveling and being on the beach only to find out our key card wouldnt work! After several attempts with hotel staff and an hour of sitting in the hall they finally found the master key to get us into our room!!

Got falsely accused of smoking simply for them seeing a pack of cigs absolutely ridiculous it sucks this building hold a lot of value to me I’ve been coming for 25 years every summer and unfortunately this is the last summer I’ll stay at this hotel unfortunately scammers own it now and until new owners buy it i won’t return definitely not worth the money and stress this place gives

The hotel needs some renovations and free parking. The amount per night is overpriced for the condition of the hotel and the amenities. Nice area and access to beach is awesome.

This property its poorly maintained showing very noticeable damage to the pool, walls, hallways, everywhere. The bathroom in my room had mold on the ceiling, Everything in the room felt wet from high humidity. The public bar, attached to the hotel pool, had karaoke night during the week which was very loud. I was not comfortable with my 5 year old being in that so we were unable to use the pool later in the day.

While the poolside bar had some reasonably priced drinks, the overall condition of the hotel left something to be desired. The rooms were comfortable enough, but they could definitely use some updates. The lack of a balcony was also a letdown, as I like to enjoy the sea breeze. And while I appreciated the beach access, don’t expect the amenities to reflect the cost. If you're primarily looking for a beachside spot, it might still work, but be prepared for some imperfections during your stay.

I love this place and location and had been here before and probably gave 5 stars. This time was fairly ok but there were a few things I wasn't happy with. First, I know our check in time was 4 but my experience is you can usually get in if your a little earlier. We arrived at 2:30 and we're told we had to wait until 4. But they gave us pool passes and let us check in our car. We came back between 3:30 and 4 but we still had to wait until 4 although some others were getting in. The next morning at 7:10am I went down to get coffee and was told it would be out at 7:30. When I went back for more an hour or so later the coffee was very cold. The coffee maker in the room was full of dirty water so we didn't use it. It clearly wasn't checked by the cleaning staff earlier. The windows were hard to see out of I assume from the salt water. These were the bad things. There are good things. The easy access to the beach makes it a great location. They've got a cool outside Tiki like Bar with ocean views and a great pool and hot tub next to it with cool tunes playing. We've stayed here before we will consider staying again. It does have a cool vibe.

It seems to be a very old and out dated property. We had the corner suite on the top floor and while it seems they tried to update it, it was not fully done. Water pressure was next to nothing and the bathroom was small and awkward. But, the location is top tier! With this property you’re definitely paying for the location! The staff was amazing and friendly! The bar/restaurant was awesome! The food was delicious and the prices were great for being on the beach! Over all I’d give it a 3 out of 5 stars. They just need to put some effort into the finishes in the rooms, and update the pool area. Way too many birds in there bathing and pooping everywhere.

The A/C wasn’t properly secured, the bathroom door wouldn’t stay shut without using a bag to hold it closed, and the room didn’t feel safe for kids. The pool area was also disappointing. People were able to walk in directly from the beach and use the pool, and it happened multiple times during our stay. There was never any staff around to monitor who was coming in or using the pool. We heard most people had to wait 30 minutes or more just to get a room. Staff said lots of rooms were not cleaned and it's almost 5pm.

Bathtub was disgusting. Had mold growing around the tub. Bathtub itself was also not cleaned and maintained. My girlfriend and I felt like we were staying at a Motel 6!!!

Great location. i read the reviews first and noted while I was there how spot on they were and see why the rating is so low. The hotel is ok, nice bed. i first got there and they gave me a dirty room not cleaned yet, but then switched a different room but I had to go through the third degree. Seems like the staff dont want to be there, smelly building and can see minimal effort is placed to maintenance. Tiny elevators. Location is awesome, its a shame they dont put more effort in making the paradise that it can be.

This place was a dump. The hallways were constantly smelling of marijuana. The room itself had a broken bed and every time I would move at night there was a loud metallic clunking noise. There was a dried up loogie that was on the curtain by the balcony door and speaking of the balcony door, it would barely open and then on the balcony was a couple of rusted out lawn chairs that if you were to set in would definitely mark your clothes up. The walls were marked with scuffs and scratches. The sliding bathroom door was so loud that if you used it at night it would wake everyone in the room up. The carpet in the halls were badly stained. There were many terrible repairs in the wall’s that were just badly patched up. For the price and the brand, I would expect this place to be a lot nicer. I would not recommend or ever use again.

Upon arrival check in was fast . It was clean and very nice when we got to our room it was very clean and it smelled very clean too the beds were so comfy !! And the rooms are very spacious . We had easy beach access which we loved and the pool aswell and the restaurant food and vibe makes it even better .

Property needs work done, tubs in 2 rooms not cleaned well, and had what appeared to be mold. Hotel also seemed short staffed, 1 check in clerk for a hotel that size is not enough average check in time 30 minutes

Everyone was polite and very professional the rooms were.. we had problems with the air conditioner but they came in and left a device that helped a lot was very happy with our stay

The location being on the beach was great but everything else needs a lot of attention.

Was looking for a clean place on the beach to stay and this wasn’t it!! The pictures make it look nice but once we arrived we were extremely disappointed. We had to pay extra to park which was hard because everyone was at the outside bar/pool and had to pay extra for towels to use at the pool. The place overall was dirty with stained carpets, water stains on the ceilings, and trash overflowing. You have to ask them to come clean your room and take the trash out, if not that won’t get done your whole stay. We went to the restaurant inside for dinner and they were almost out of everything. We tried again for breakfast and sat there 20 minutes before leaving after nobody came. Definitely won’t be staying again!

Beach access was good, not worth the price for the 2 queen suite, pool was not open until 10am, smelled humid in hallways, building balcony was dirty in mildew all over walls, Do not recommend.

Music speakers and hey, why not add some dogs! No room service and I got to wake up at 2am to a domestic violence assault outside my door. Screaming, running, cussing, slamming doors (they were arrested.) I did call the front desk while at the pool area… no answer. I called to see if they offered room service… no answer. I called to report the fight… you guessed it! No answer! I was so happy to leave!

Personell were as professional as seemingly possible considering they were often overwhelmed by patron demands and understaffed severely.

My family and I have stayed here many times and the room is always clean. The staff is always friendly and do what they can when you need something. Pool is nice and the views are incredible.

When I went to hotel 15 minutes early and I tried to check in and they said you need to wait 15 minutes because you came in early come back after 15 minutes. After 15 minutes again I try to check in they take me 1 hour to check in Also when I booked the hotel they have not mentioned anything about security deposit but on checking in time they are charged me $100 for deposit Also room condition is very bad like Rooms are dirty Toilets some one used but not flush Bathtub has black mold and also very dirty Some Light bulbs are not working I have booked 3 rooms but all rooms have same problem Then I went to complain all about this on front desk then they are saying you can give me an hour I will change you room It’s really highly recommend don’t book this hotel if you planning to go there better you can use any other hotel.

There needed to be a night stand by each side of the bed due to the my husband and I wear a CPAP machine at night. The elevators are very small so it is a tight squeeze to get the baggage cart and the two of us in the elevators. The pictures online are not a correct representation of the condition of the hotel. The hallway carpets are filthy. We had asked for extra towels since we did not ask for cleaning service for our room. The front desk staff asked us to bring our dirty towels down to them. Our room keys were deactivated earlier than our checkout date.

Location

The room was great and fit our family perfectly. The carpet in the hallway had a stench of wet carpet with a mix of ammonia throughout our stay. It was not pleasant to walk through. They also need to mention that we have to pay for parking in their parking lot. That was not mentioned on the hotel details. The limit for the dog says 50lbs, but there were people there with much bigger and heavier dogs, so we were confused as to how they were allowed to stay there. Had we known that we would have taken our bigger dog as well.

Best thing is the location.

Rooms were very clean, and the property was in an amazing location with beach access and a great pool and hot tub as well. We will be coming back again for sure!!

We booked and then read reviews and couldnt cancel but we show up amd im expecting the worst, exterior needs some loving, walk in to check in staff was helpful, lobby was clean looking, 2 elevators only for the size of this hotel, elevators are small also. Hallways need loving missing trim around elevators, carpets looking a little dirty again im expecting a old looking smelly room we walk in and we surprised very decent room, oceanview. Restroom was bad, mirror wasn't centered correctly there's a small gap, the pool area needs some touch up and pool itself needs some work missing tiles mainly, over all we we be going back we were pleased w our stay. Also 10 plus tax parking each day.

Took my grandkids for a weekend getaway and it was so nice. Beach was awesome, pool was great buthot tub needed some cleaning. Everything else was great! We would definitely come back.

The location to the beach would be the main reason to stay here. The check-in process was long when everyone wanted to check in at exactly 4pm. The rooms were in not in exactly the most ideal state, meaning they were not properly maintained.

Friendly staff. Great location. Dive bar was run down but convenient. Hotel room was ok. The hotel needs some serious TLC but it’s not a 5 star hotel sooooo. Overall it was a good spot to rest up for a few days at the beach.

The location is unbeatable! Right on the beach and that’s amazing! The place was packed with people so I was little surprised that the facilities weren’t in better shape. It was clean but old AC system did not keep out room cool so they brought us a fan and mini split. Glad they had that solution but it was LOUD. I would go back just wish they would update a few things. Pool was a little cloudy.

The carpet was nasty, the rooms were just ok cleaned but I think this is what you get being an ocean front property.

This place is a hidden gem. I love coming here on the off-season. It’s right on the beach. There’s an outside bar by the pool and an indoor restaurant along with a bar as well. Such a great place to visit. The room is always clean and the staff is always been really nice. They are doing some renovations to the building, but there’s one thing that’s a small issue is the elevators. They are small and they make quite a bit noise. But other than that, I love coming here.

The facility just look uncleaned. The lobby has clumps of hair all over the floor. The room had sand and what looked like dog hair on the furniture. Stains on the furniture. Dust caked on the lamp shades. 2 lamps looked burned and not replaced. There were holes all over The walls. We ended up staying elsewhere with family and only used the shower after the beach.

Hotel was very dirty and run down. Paneling was peeling of the hall walls. Hall carpets were stained. Room bathrooms were dirty and moldy. Balcony was rotten and moldy. Only upside was the proximity to the beach.

Overall hotel cost was fair for the location. Hotel was not up to date, visible repairs made to room, coffee in lobby was always empty, pool was not clear, small flies throughout the entire hotel including our rooms. Had three rooms. No early check in and one room was ready at 6pm. Garbage in halls were overflowing, employees always on their cell phones. Long line at check in. Only two elevators, workout room was not it and machines are in poor conditions. Only two towels in each room when it sleeps 4 guest & manager was not available Sun- Tuesday during our stay!
