Reviews
The hotel has clean rooms and friendly staff, but there are issues with maintenance and cleanliness in some areas. Breakfast quality varies and some guests have reported hidden fees.

Excellent breakfast. Friendly staff. Laundry could be better. Refrigerator was loud, some maintenance needed. A few bugs in the bathroom, but that is almost inevitable in South Texas. The location is excellent. For us it was close to shopping and only 10 minutes drive to N. Padre Island beaches.

Moved Rooms and didn't have a problem. I did not use the building wifi, so cannot comment on it. stay was for 3 weeks.

1st time staying here and the place was very neat and clean. I loved it. We will definitely come back..

Nothing I didn’t like the fact that I had made a reservation through booking and booking charge me and then when I got to the hotel, the hotel charge me so I got charged twice and I still haven’t received a refund from either one

Staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. The breakfast was amazing.
- 5/5
Everything was great for a two night stay
- 5/5
The only issue was to connect to WiFiit was kind of slow but it worked
- 5/5
Room was roomy and clean. Only think I was not happy with was that the back door did not work. We went out had to walk to the front through the side of the building to get in. Front desk know the door didn’t work.

Great time for a affordable price loved it

It was an ok stay. The bed was comfortable and the shower pressure good. When we arrived, I wanted to wash my hair but there was no soap, shampoo or conditioner. My husband went to the front and they ran out of body wash. This was never available. The rooms are clean but very old. The pool is definitely not well maintained either.
- 4/5
The room only had 3 towels and no sheets for the sofa bed. I called and was asked to come get them. When we got to the dining room, the tables were dirty. I found a worker and asked “can we get a table cleaned?” He says in a I’m busy tone… “I’ll get to it in a few minutes “. The breakfast was sub par. I felt like I was at. Motel 6 and not a Marriott. The container were old looking. The food wasn’t pleasing to the eyes. The selection was limited (no fresh fruit, no items prepackaged) the fruit juice machine wasn’t working. I should stop here. We had just had such a good experience the night before at another hotel in the same price range $100. They had the cute Texas shaped waffle maker and so many other options. There wasn’t even any creamer options for the coffee (and of course no espresso machine). We went to the pool next. No towels. This was a Sunday night when we stayed. Maybe they had a many clients they were not expecting but we saw plenty of staff walking around. The bed and room were clean. The ac worked. The check-in and out went fine.

Breakfast is minimum, and I'm okay with that. I'm not a picky gal, but every day we noticed with what was out was incomplete. Example" cereal no milk..oatmeal, no sugar, juice machines out or not working, no utensils.

Beds not that comfortable

An idea about breakfast: offer bacon! 🙂 Thank you for your hospitality! We would see definitely recommend!

Room was great. The only complaint was that no rooms were ready after 3 pm check in. Luckily there are restaurants walking distance to kill time for an hour and an half until a room was ready as I was placed on a waitlist.

Arrived for check-in shortly after 5:00 p.m. my check-in time was 3:00 p.m. Evan at the front desk inform me that I could not check in. Stated that they did not have towels ready. That they cannot allow people to enter the room without towels because they provide negative reviews. I asked, why did I not get a phone call that I would not be able to check in until later time? His response was, they do not get a phone number when booking goes through hotels.com. I said okay, just cancel my reservation and I will go to another hotel. He said he couldn't do that. I asked, when will the room be ready? He said in 20 minutes. So I went out in the parking lot and contacted hotels.com. The phone number is useless. Connected to customer service through the chat. I requested that my reservation be canceled and the agent said, police hold while I call the hotel. The agent state did that the phone was picked up and then hung up. Then they made a second call in the phone was picked up but immediately placed on hold. So I went back into the lobby after 30 minutes. More excuses from Evan. I could hear a phone line beeping on hold in the background. I said please pick that phone up it is hotels.com attempting to cancel my reservation with you. He said no. Gave me the runaround. Said that phone call was something else. I said no it's not I am chatting customer support right now. My reservation was canceled. Do not stay at this hotel. Stay away

I stayed at this hotel recently and I strongly suggest being aware of bedbugs. I was genuinely shocked this is a Marriott property, and I couldn’t believe this was even possible. I reported the incident to the staff during checkout, yet I was not given any explanation or acknowledgment of how something like this could occur. This lack of accountability is unacceptable for a hotel of this brand
- 5/5
The property was clean and felt safe for a solo female traveller. While showing some wear and tear, it felt well worth the price.
- 4/5
It was a good stay. The front desk was very helpful. The food was good yet it could use more variety. One waffle maker is not enough for guest.
- 3/5
The staff was pleasant and very kind. Our room had a leak apparently in the AC unit, and the carpet was wet and had a smell in the room. They came in and looked at it. We also asked for towels, and they were never brought to the room.

Traveled with family for a beach weekend...hotel was clean, room was spacious & comfy (sofa bed was included)...pool was nice and breakfast was good. Hotel is near lots of eating, shopping, etc. and right off freeway headed towards the island/beaches. We would definitely stay here again

Solo pude hospedarme una noche de 6 que reservé, no podía estar más sucio en general, no lo recomiendo ni para una noche
- 3/5
This hotel has a good breakfast but that’s about it. The trash bins all over the hotel are overflowing with trash. Towels were not provided during our two night stay because the washing machine was broken. I asked for toilet paper and it was never brought to our room. I would not recommend this hotel.
- 3/5
I’ve never been to a hotel when the carpeting is cleaned while we stayed there. I thought there was some wet spill in a room down the hall. However, when we returned from a wedding, there was a tag on our door stating that our carpeting had been cleaned while we were out. We were not informed ahead of time that someone would be entering our private space to clean the carpet. We don’t ask for housekeeping in general if we stay two nights, so we had shoes on the floor which could have been ruined. One morning we waited an hour and a half for body wash to be delivered. I had to go to the front desk twice. Then I looked on another floor for the housekeeper who apologized profusely that we had waited so long. She came to our room later to deliver tiny bars of soap. She said the entire hotel had no more body wash. She was very sweet and kind and smiled beautifully. I didn’t lose my temper. I was okay with bar soap. Our bathroom wall paint was peeling badly. No maintenance like for months. Marriott is normally a very nice hotel chain. I was very disappointed.
- 2/5
Later, when we were checking out, I was told that they tried charging a parking fee of $15 for no real true reason. Thankfully, they removed it. Breakfast was really good during the weekend, and the potatoes were awesome. Overall, things were good, but the mold and late check-in of 2+ hours after check-in time were disappointing. Beds were clean, but the shower head and sink faucet were in rough shape.

Mala experiencia.

Everything was great but you could improve coffee and breakfast a little. Other than that we enjoyed it.
- 2/5
First thing the room wasn't ready until close to 6pm. We expected a room with king size bed and pull out couch and there was no couch. There was never any coffee available. And the had nats by the coffee and creamer.
- 3/5
Smelled like weed, especially when the cleaning crew was working. The pool turned green within 2 days. We showed up 45 minutes after our allowed check in time. No rooms were ready (cleaned) and no one seemed to care about our traveling frustrations.
- 4/5
Great location and clean rooms.
- 5/5
Room was big! Full size frig, stove top and microwave in room. Great location!
- 5/5
The rooms are quite nice, clean and probably the nicest we have been in on our budget. Kitchen is what we needed, stocked with enough kitchen gadgets to cover our daily meals. Every single employee here is so wonderful and hospitable. From Front desk to cleaning staff. We have immensely enjoyed our stay. Breakfast is quite good and the man who takes care of it Tue-Sun is the nicest man despite looks or tattoos. No not judge a book by the cover ever. He is sweet and always willing to go get our kids chocolate milk if there was none in the mini fridge. Two weeks here and not one complaint! Thank you Townplace for making the transition from Arizona to our new home in Texas wonderful!!!!
- 5/5
Overall the room was great! The bigger fridge and kitchenette was an added bonus. Breakfast was overall good. Only thing was that there was blood drops inside the shower curtain and the curtain by the window. Also we stayed in an accessible room and it the bathtub is dangerously slippery, so keep that in mind when booking.
- 5/5
Nice stay
- 4/5
Staff was friendly and the property was clean. The bed was pretty hard and springy but it worked for our stay. The kitchenette was an added bonus
- 5/5
Nice, clean room. Great staff.
- 5/5
First time staying with them, but it won’t be the last. Staff was friendly, it was clean, everything worked properly, but it needs a little paint on the outside. If you don’t mind the need for paint, it’ll be great for you too.

When I asked for another room due to the deadbolt issue I was told I had to pack up all of my stuff before I could check the quality of the other room. We checked into a handicapped accessible room for my 80 year old mother and the replacement room was not handicapped accessible. We stayed in our original room and opened all the drawers in the kitchenette to provide additional protection incase of the door opening. This property does not meet the standards of a Marriott property.
- 1/5
It took is two days, five requests, and an online complaint to corporate to receive clean sheets. We had to do our own housekeeping despite being assured they would replace our towels and sheets. I found out after three days that we had to put our own trash in the hallway. When they finally came to clean the room, the only thing they did was change the sheets and towels. Nothing was cleaned, and they only did this because of my complaint to corporate. The desk and housekeeping staff are the same people.

- 5/5
The staff is super friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The staff welcomes you with courtesy and professionalism, Philip the breakfast chef is very polite and helpful and can make the best oatmeal. I do miss the Texas shape waffle maker but the round waffle is good also. Location of hotel is excellent and I feel safe there. It's a great place to stay and that is where I stay when in Corpus Christi. Room was well kept and love that there is a full size fridge and microwave. Thank you very much front office staff for all your help during this stay. It shows you care. Thank you!

- 5/5
The staff was friendly and very helpful and informative. The laundry was very convenient when traveling.
- 5/5
We visit family several times a year and have stayed at many other hotels and with requesting a room that is accessable this hotel was the best. We slept well and the accomidations were the best thus far.
- 5/5
We are a family of three and enjoyed our stay. The room was more spacious than what we had seen in photos and had alot of storage space we didn't expect eg huge closet opposite kitchen as we walked through door (easily fitted our large suitcases) and had shelving above desk plus several draws. Decent bathroom and very good size bed. Staff was friendly and helpful.
- 5/5
The room was clean. We were upgraded to a room with a king bed and a queen (not a sofa bed). That was nice.
- 5/5
The service at this hotel is great! We received free snacks and bottles of water upon checking in. Breakfast food was plentiful, and the potato was delicious. The room was a bit outdated with a musty smell, and there was no smart TV. Bathroom was clean though, but the shower could be slippery, so watch out for that. Free laundry machines were a great plus!

I understand but at least give me a heads up. Maybe she was busy or a bad day, but I am not staying there agian. Breakfast was what we were hoping would be great as usual but didn't.

The hotel is a good price and on the surface looks nice enough but the shower did not get hot (even after I spoke to them twice about it) and then I was awoken to a roach crawling across my face in the bed. I was moved to a new room but it was also dirty (stains and hair in the sheets). The manager acknowledged they have had a roach issue for awhile which tells me they aren’t addressing the issue because reviews as far back as October mention them.
- 5/5
Great hotel. All of the staff were fantastic. Very clean hotel as well as the room. Comfortable bed. Nice breakfast. Good location to everything.
- 3/5
Generally a nice hotel at a great price and with great service, but I had problems with roaches (killed two daily) and hot water (lukewarm showers first three days).
- 5/5
Wonderful staff. Our favorite place to stay in Corpus!
- 5/5
Great stay
- 4/5
Everything was great. The staff was nice they helped me with everything I need it, really professional and courteous people. There were plenty of parking spaces. There’s a Apple bees next to it and a Salt Grass which it was convenient. I recommend it and I will book with them again if I have to.
- 2/5
Dishwater did not work. The promised waffle was not served for 3 days as part of the included continental breakfast. Two front desk people did not have patience to listen our concerns and did not care our pains and simply follow the bad guidelines of their management. The front desk people never carry the manual or instructions for operating their dishwater. The say is disappointing. I will never come again to this place
- 3/5

After going through so much to get to Texas my reservation was canceled because checked-in through a third party. After a 14 hour drive, and spending a whole day at the football field, i just wanted to lay down. Thrme hotel manager was so rude and did not want to help me out at all. I had to pay an additional 80 dollars plus 100 dollar fee. Im still waiting for my refund of 114 dollars. Also thr lady at the front desk said the 100 dollars was refundable once they checked the room, still have not received anything. That leaves me and my kids with less than 100 dollars for the next cpuple of days while being so far from home.
