Motel 6 Corpus Christi, TX - East - North Padre Island

The place served its purpose, chose mainly because of the pet friendly option and close proximity to where I was visiting. Room was tidy and friendly staff however place needs a serious revamp. Shower had mold all along the trim, part of the ceiling in the bathroom was cracked and seemed like it might come down. My daughter called it the “dungeon door.” Did not get in but pool looked clean and refreshing.

Room was very clean. Person at the front desk when I arrived around 12:15am was very nice. But BOTH ice machines were out of order. When I asked the front desk about them (the second ice machine didn't have an out-of-order note on it), so when I went inside to inquire, the lady at the front desk was like " yeah I guess they both are down." Not an Im sorry, or anything. Her and the other two ppl just looked at me weird. But everything was great besides that. I had a 10 hour drive ahead of me. I was wanting to fill up on ice for part of the trip atleast.

It was affordable and dogs are free. But didn't feel all that safe. Staff was helpful when needed. Would we stay again.. no. But it worked for our budget.

Mold in the shower. Had to change rooms twice due to roaches in the 1st room the next one the AC didn't work. Was here for a week had to reset the room key constantly. The on site dryer didn't work had to lug to loads of wet clothes to the laundromat at 1230 a.m.

BED BUGS!!!!! I woke up with red bumps all over my body!!! Wouldn’t recommend this place for anyone

There was what looked like poop stains on my fitted bed sheet.

Room was very clean with updates. Room was cold for me when I got in. Hot water and pressure was great. It really exceeded my expectations for being a Motel 6. Outside was a little run down looking but Room was real nice. Only thing wrong is there was a roach crawling on the wall, one of the small ones and in my experience if there is one there are more, but only saw the one. Will be using them again in the future. Front desk staff were also very friendly.

It needs some minor repairs such as weather stripping the doors and get rid of those showers from temu.

No shampoo and towels need some kind of fabric softener

Chairs and tables in pool area are old and falling apart. Garbage is left in receptacles and on the ground on property.

Beds were comfortable. Room was clean, but old. Shower worked but floor had stain marks on it. A/C did not work well. If right next to it you felt cool air, but the other side of the room was warm. Door was in terrible shape. Being near the beach it was rusted out. If someone wanted to get in they could easily push the door open.

The staff was helpful and courteous. The room was way smaller then advertised on Expedia barely big enough for the 2 double beds much less the pull out couch i was lead to believe was there, because that's what I asked for. The mattresses stained horribly. The sheets were dirty there was only 1 towel and 4 flat pillows. When I asked for towels there was no problem getting more but the night shift guy wasn't so nice to my husband about the pillows. Oh and Expedia charged me for the second room I canceled with in their set time frame now I am having to dispute the charge and wait to see if I have to fix it thru my bank.

Rooms are dirty the staff does not clean the rooms. The ac units don't blow cold air and need repairs. Beds are worn and cheap laying on low spots with springs. Comforters are old stained. Don't waste your money. Restrooms had hair all over the toilet, and shower. Floors had hair all over. Don't waste your money

I’ve been visiting Texas beaches for four years and have always stayed at Motel 6—I’ve had great experiences at all of them. This one was a total letdown. The rooms look very spacious in the photos, but that’s not the reality. They don’t clean the room until check-out day; I stayed for three nights, and every day I had to go to the front desk and beg for clean towels—they’d only give me two, even though there were four of us. The property was filthy, littered with trash day and night. Truly a huge disappointment.

Room smelled like marijuana and mildew. Bed was lumpy but usable for just sleeping.

Check in was not good Staff were very unorganized no rooms ready for early check and rooms were ready at 3pm. Room had only 2 towels. TV in our room was a blue screen. Will not be returning.

Reserved a deluxe double with a fridge for my medication. Didn't receive the room we reserved and the staff did nothing to make it right. End dbuo having to spend more money in cookers and ice to prevent my medication from going bad. Absolutely horrible experience. Do not recommend .

The room and bed had bugs in it- we had to request clean sheets because it looked like there was dirty sheets on the bed! there were no amenities in the room- they moved us to another room and it had pink mold in the shower the floors were sandy so bad- there was no room service the next day I asked for towels- the room was reserved for 4 people- 2 beds- there was only 1 set of towels- this was so disappointing! And they still charged me a lot of money! Oh and there were people who lived there full time sitting outside and partying I will never stay here no matter how poor I am-

The rooms were poorly stocked. They knew there would be 2 travelers and only had towels for 1 person. When we asked the front desk they said they were overbooked and did not have extras. So we had to go buy our own. The second night we came back from the beach and they was people in the parking lot drinking and playing loud. Management did nothing to correct this. We will not be staying there again and will not recommend them to anyone.

Absolutely nothing!!! Everything! The rooms were filthy beds weren’t made, air conditioners weren’t working properly And showers were not big enough to accommodate someone with a dialysis port that’s could not get wet!!!

Motel 6 have just decreased in quality since back in the day. This one was too old, it was so humid in the room the windows stayed fogged up and the floor and table held a layer of moisture. It just felt gross. I checked into a different hotel before I even slept in my Motel 6 room, just couldn't do it.

There were several soft spots in the floor, where it was rotten. A hair ball in the shower, it smelled like mold. and for a room with 2 beds, only 1 towel. Ice machine was broken.

The rooms where hot the ac did not blow the way it should . The soda machines didn't work the ice machine didn't work. The lady Alicia was very rude no costumer service at all doesn't know how to talk to people .we were in the pool a Little after ten that's when it closes she stated yelling at everyone to get out very disrespectfully and another day did the same thing when there was more than 23 people in the pool area not the pool talking all loud that there was to many people in thereand some people had to get out . And when u go ask for more towels or toilet paper u only get one and everyone needs a ID over 21 to be in the system that's crazy never stay there again .

I showed up on July 18th with a reservation through Expedia and when I showed up forcheck in I was told they were booked. I had to look for another motel.

Rooms good for overnights stay. But do not expect too much in the cleanliness of the room.

Close to fishing areas Shower was dirty and the bed sheets had cigarette burns and stains plus the toilet seat was stained.

Check-in was ez and fast. The room air smelled moldy and scented to cover the smell. One bedspread had 2 huge dark stains. I’m actually uncertain whether the one bed had been changed cuz the sheets were not as crisp and wrinkle free as the other. You had no control of room temp but it remained comfortable despite temps in mid 90’s. One bed is directly next to a/c so you had to sleep on your side with back to a/c to avoid a/c air blowing directly on you. Otherwise, shower had warm water and working toilet; in fact, the bathroom looked recently renovated. The bed was comfortable and supporting, there were no dips or lumps. Linoleum floors. Never used the pool but many others did. The property was basically parking lot with small grassy areas. There were numerous (4) police cruisers on property at one time

Sheetrock fell on my husband's head while he was in the shower. Mold/mildew all in the shower. Only one towel in the bathroom, no blow dryer. No staff available when we arrived. Sand all over the room and in the bed. I expected some sand but not in the bed. A/c sounded like we were at the airport.

We booked our stay months in advance and were told we did not have a room when we arrived along with many others. staff said there was nothing they could do and someone would eventually refund us.

The room was fairly clean, nothing glaring was missed. It had a sense of needing a thorough deep clean though. For example behind the door, the floors and baseboards had build up, the shower floor was dark and needed a really good scrub. Maintenance needs attention for sure. Outlets were loose and the door needs new weatherstripping so light doesn't shine in. Overall, the motel kept up fairly well and gives a good first impression. Worth the low price and about what I expected.

When it was time for bed and the comforter was removed, there was fresh sh*t smears on the sheets. I went to the front desk to ask for a refund but said they don't provide those. When I asked for another room, he wanted to charge me an additional $10 for the premium room that was the only available that evening. SERIOUSLY?? Get your act together.

This is a dump. From prostitutes banging on the door at 5am to homeless drug addicts living behind the dumpster to drunken fights in the parking lot at 3am. It has it all. Rooms are run down and dirty. Towels are like sandpaper. Don’t walk, RUN away from this place.

Excellent for a short stay!

Rooms are a little small and only "suits" have fridge and microwave. The pool is nice and has a lot of sitting lounge. The property itself could use a good pressure washing but for a 60 dollar hotel room on 4th of July. We have a good time.

The motel overall was not clean or properly maintained. Mold was in the shower, didn’t have pillows, toilet paper or any soap upon arrival. Staff said they would bring these items to the room and never did. My mother’s room was without AC for the entire stay and staff did not attempt to fix the issue or provide a resolution.

Nothing ! We went to check in and the clerk said they are overbooked, so we drove 3 hours to stay there and had to drive back home.. 😡😡

We usually book budget motels for our weekend fishing trips and have very basic expectations, but this place was a complete nightmare. This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The owner clearly bought this property and refused to put any money into maintaining it. Motel 6 corporate should be ashamed to let this location use their name.The second we walked in, the room hit us with a heavy, disgusting smell of old cigarette smoke. The entire room was incredibly dirty. The sleeping conditions were awful. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable. The bathroom was just as bad, covered in visible mold and mildew.This place is a health hazard. Do not waste your money here, even for a quick fishing trip. Pass this location up and stay anywhere else.

We usually book budget-friendly motels for our weekend fishing trips, so our expectations are never high. However, this was hands down the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Motel 6 corporate should be deeply ashamed to have their name on this franchise location. It is completely obvious that the owner bought this property and decided they were never going to put a single dime into maintaining or cleaning it.The overall state of the room was filthy. There was a massive gap in the door frame, which meant flies were constantly invading our room all weekend. The restroom was covered in mold and mildew. I have never stayed somewhere that when I showered, I still felt dirty.To top it all off, the bed frame was physically broken. When I pulled back the sheets to check the bed, a wasp-like insect flew out from underneath the covers.Do not stay here. Even for a bare-bones fishing trip, this place fails basic health and safety standards. Keep driving and find somewhere else.

This property from the beginning wasn't ready at 3pm as stated. I asked Alicia what would they do about the fact that our room wasn't ready and she said, “Nothing. We are short staffed!” She was rude and condescending. This is place is nasty and staff is disrespectful. Do not stay there.

My room didn’t have a microwave nor a fridge. The staff had taken all of our belongings out of the room over a miscommunication on their end. And respectfully all the staff that work there look like they are using drugs

Don’t stay here. It’s poorly kept. One staff member says one thing and the other staff member says another thing and it messed up our stay. I will never stay at this Motel 6 again. Also, they didn't have our room ready so we had to wait till after 5 to check in. When I asked what they would do about this, Alicia, said they couldn't do anything because they were short staffed. How is that my problem?

This is the worst place I've ever had the displeasure of visitiñg. Literally exhausted after my stay.

The hotel was completely different than the pictures online the website. It was old and run down. Not a new property like the listing.

Victor at the desk was very very rude. The first night I had to stay in a room with water leaks and so much humidity in the room that my clothes got damp. The walls and floor were covered in sweat. Then they wouldn't give me towels to dry the floor so I wouldn't fall. Next day they grudgingly moved me to to a decent room. But Victor was horrible. It is a shame because it could be a very nice and well located property. But the bad maintenance and customer service ruined my experience.

Booked for a non smoking room, got to room, got a smoking room. Called from desk, man told me to come back to office to check my reservation, just to go all the way to the office and show I had a non smoking room reserved and he said well I don’t have any non smoking rooms available which I’m sure was a lie because why would he make me come up there just to not have another room available he just didn’t want to fix his mess up, he had a terrible attitude. Our room lights also did not work. I wouldn’t stay here.

The room came advertised as with a microwave, and there was not one in the room. They stated that alarm clocks are only for premium rooms, so we did not get one in a deluxe. There was mold in the shower so we did not shower there during the stay at all.

This was hands down the most horrific and terrible motel experience of our entire lives, and it completely ruined our very first vacation to this area. We paid full price for a two-night stay, but it was an absolute waste of money because the room lacked even the most basic items. There was no refrigerator, no microwave, and no hair dryer anywhere in the room. Even worse, they did not even provide basic toiletries like soap, shampoo, or conditioner, leaving us with absolutely nothing to wash with. The comfort was completely non-existent since the bed only had two pillows, and when we went to the front desk to ask for extra pillows, the staff flatly refused to give us any. To make things even more disgusting, the window curtains were covered in visible cigarette burn marks, showing a total lack of cleanliness and care. It is unbelievable that a business takes people's hard-earned money and provides this level of terrible service and filthy conditions. Do not stay here under any circumstances.

I absolutely love it here. The staff are always amazing. They are friendly, always helpful, and they all are A+ in customer service. The rooms are clean and the beds are comfortable. Thank you for an amazing stay.

She gave us the basic room due to us booking thru Hotel.com , even though I told her my husband is disabled. No fridge, no microwave, no housekeeping for 2 days. We found a roach above our bed frame, mosquitoes and spider eggs in the bathroom. Front desk did not have a bug killer but offered an upstairs room having in mind the disability of my husband. We bought bug killer ourselves and sprayed. After the smell went away the air conditioner air smelled like urine. The property is bad. Dirty and there is cig butts all around. Trash cans are so dirty i was afraid to touch anything. Doors we dirty. I have booked before and they have been nice enough to accommodate my husband’s disability. I will try my best to book something more expensive if that is what it takes to get a better place.

The a/c sounded like a twin turbo prop airplane at full throttle.

Only thing convenient was that it was by the beach & the price. You get what you pay for is all I got to say.

To come to the desk for me to check in. I don’t mind, but then I saw the room. One bed had blood on both blankets and pubic hair on the sheets. The other bed had insects crawling on top. Two Roaches were spotted crawling on the wall. The three children I travels with literally slept on top of their suitcases. If I had more money why and was t exhausted from driving 9 hours, we would have left. I seriously considered sleeping in the truck. Of note: no deposit required.

I had to cancel my second night I couldn't bare to stay a second night.

The staff is amazing!!!I stay here a few days a month for a fishing sleep spot and it more than serves its purpose!! DJ and Alicia are the best!!

Staff was great, the room had a few insects nothing to worry about. A/C probably needed to be serviced.

The place is quiet at night. Now for service I ask for towels since there was no bath towels to lady cleaning room but never brought them my family had to use the hand towels.
