Overall everything was nice except the restroom. Very outdated and had a strong smell like someone left their bait in there. They only gave us two towels and the bed sheets were stained.

Bad bad rooms , the maintenance is awful the rooms smell they look NOTHING like the pictures we were on room 116 and the noise above us went all night running around and so much noise God knows what they were doing . Restroom on bad shape

The images listed for this hotel elevate significantly the expectations, and those images do not uphold the actual state of the hotel. The room was okay, but it was not in the best condition. The bedroom and bathroom floors were somewhat clean. Additionally, the bathroom is very small, and images of such a bathroom are not shared on their page. There was mold in a portion of the wall near an outlet. The state of the outlets was concerning, as sparks emitted when plugging in appliances. The refrigerator was not good enough and did not cool sufficiently. However, this issue was addressed swiftly, and a new refrigerator was installed. The breakfast included is okay, but not the best. Overall, this La Quinta hotel in particular does not hold the standards of other La Quinta hotels but is in fair condition. If you are looking for a good hotel that is worth entirely what you paid, you may want to look elsewhere.

This hotel is very run down. The sheets and pillowcases were stained, the room smelled bad, and both nights we stayed, I had to reactivate my key card to get into the room. I hope they return the $100 deposit they require.

Upon arrival the front desk staff was not friendly and the smell in the main area was awful!! The front desk person talked on the phone having a personal conversation during check in. We arrived late at night and I did not feel this place was in a safe location. Our room was disgusting. We were in 255. Upon entering our room, I noticed the floors were sticky, the bathroom was very dirty, the sink and shower didn’t drain, there was buildup of dirt all over the bathroom, the room had a weird smell, the sheets were stained. My kids slept on a pull out bed, upon pulling it out the mattress was covered with stains and trash fell out. As if that weren’t bad enough, the following day we were in our room and someone (another guest) walked into our room. The front desk blamed a computer glitch, but how do you not realize that room is occupied. They had given someone else our room while we were actively staying there. What if we hadn’t been there? What if it had been the middle of the night? That could have been a dangerous situation especially having small children!!! Also there is a $100 refundable fee that is not mentioned on the website. We are still waiting for that refund. I am still fighting for a refund on our two unused nights. After having someone just walk into our room, we chose to leave for the safety of our family. I would highly recommend staying FAR away from this place. Finally, it is important to note the pictures do not reflect how the property actually looks.

This property is nothing like the usual franchise. It was more like a fly by night hotel. Charged $100 deposit per room outside of what was paid on the Expedia. My children excepted to stay somewhere nice. I was very disappointed. Oh and of course you couldn’t get a refund.

Its not the usual LaQuinta. Its a motel remodel that is not complete at this time.

I would not recommend staying here. Felt more like a motel 6, breakfast was only wafflles and eggs for hot foods, some plugs in the room did not work, cigarette holes on the bed sheets, booked a room with a sofa and they told me they didnt have it, walked all the way to the front desk for more towels and was told I had to bring back the towels to get clean ones, think twice before booking!

Expedia needs to communiacte with proprty on third party agreements for ther $100 dollar deposits everyone is asking for.

The bed was okay. The bathroom was flooded with water and the shower was not clean at all and had dust and dirt inside. The freezer was disgusting with hair inside. There was only three working outlets which made my stay very uncomfortable. Staff was not that helpful and wouldn’t seem interested if I asked for another room.

Front staff checking in not friendly. When checking out different staff was more friendly. For the price it was an okay stay. A basic place. Most plug ins didn’t work in the room.

Where do I start... starting with the rooms that they didn't give us the ones we booked (2), the bathroom smelling of drain all the time, the shower almost no water came out, for the check in they demanded a deposit of $100 per room. We paid for one room in cash and the other with a card, we ordered breakfast, only two waffle machines for the whole hotel, we couldn't even use the pool...... We checked out and went to the Aquarium, when I checked my account on the card the two rooms and the deposit were charged, we returned to the hotel and very arrogant they said that we paid by card, they began to raise their voices and said that we were lying, they went in to check the cameras so that they noticed that we paid in cash one of the rooms, the money was returned to the account 7 days later. I would stay again at La Quinta Inn NEVER

I booked on Expedia and because it was La Quinta, I assumed I was good to go. Even my kids refused to stay there, they said it looked dirty and unsafe. It looked like a motel, not a hotel☹️ We didnt even bother to go into our room, it was that bad. We drove about 3hrs and when we got here, it was a BIG MESS!! LA Quinta should better take their name out of this location because it's going to affect their reputation. We had to cancel that same night and started hotel-hunting immediately. Unfortunately Expedia refused to refund me, even after I agreed to pay the penalty fee. What a waste!!!!!😡😡

The property was not well maintained, we booked a double bed for 2 rooms at this hotel, however, they didn't have any double beds available when checking in, had to book a king size bed for both rooms with an upgrade fee for both rooms. They should have checked with another La Quinta hotel to see if there are any available double beds. The bathtub at our initial room had stains and we had to ask for another room. They charged us a fee for the Wifi when details of the property on the Expedia website stated WiFi is free. They stated we could ask for a refund through Expedia. You have to request room service to clean your room, they don't do it the next day. At check in, they charged the master card that I used through Expedia, however, stated the card was declined. I gave them another master card and it went through. After checking out and arriving back home today, I noticed both cards have charges and they over charged me by 150 dollars more than the total quoted on the Expedia booking. I've submitted a refund request through Expedia and waiting to hear back regarding the refund request for the overcharged amount. This is the first time I've experienced this at a La Quinta Hotel, I've booked other La Quinta Hotels and have not had this issue come up. The owners are new and stated they're going through renovation. Expedia needs to make sure the Hotels advertised are providing the services according to the advertisements.

They ask you for $100 deposit if the room is clean and you never see the deposit that deposit refunded to you back so I actually paid $189 for one night and even though the room were the lights didn’t work

Front desk girl was okay. But the housekeeper was super nice. This place is nothing like the pictures on the website. It's run down with none working appliances, old beds and TV sucks half the channels come in. The AC was the best part of the room.

I booked a room with queen beds and my room had twin beds

I just needed an affordable place with three beds for one night. We stayed there in the 2 queen, one pullout room. The pullout bed was broken and very difficult to set up. The tub was stained. One of the two ACs didn't work correctly. It was cheap, so we slept and left in the morning, I won't be staying there again.

Mattresses dirty, small bathroom, small room, fridge didn’t work. Microwave dirty. Stayed 2 days for vacation. I went to front desk to tell them to clean my room. Only gave new towels didn’t make the bed. Key didn’t work the next day. Man asked me “was I sure” when I told him beds weren’t made. Couldn’t switch rooms. A lot of homeless and drug activity you can tell. People were actually having a bbq outside of their hotel room with the grill and all. A lot of spiders in room.

Over all the location wasn’t bad. Easily accessible from highway. Short drive to all the hot spots in Corpus and surrounding areas. It’s a decent place for the price. Our room was close to the pool which was nice because we had kids BUT the WiFi doesn’t reach over there so we couldn’t watch tv or connect any of our devices. The staff weren’t very friendly or welcoming.

Swimming pool does NOT exist for this property!!!!. But it's listed as a amenity. When asked, the front desk clerk stated , it's not up and running. We ask him why is it listed as an amenity. He responded, it doesnt matter?You're checking in after 10pm.. I said in the morning before check out, he stated it wouldn't open till 11am, and chuckled. That really made me livid because the pool is for the children. Its summer!!!!! No pool no booking! So beware of the bait! ! My kids are too young to understand the situation. It was a rough stay to say the least. Fire alarm was hanging from the ceiling from its wires. What if there was a fire! Do not book here.

I didn't like the fact that they charged a deposit without disclosing this week booking..this makes a huge impact when you're relying on that money. There wasn't enough breakfast served and the food was overcooked. There was no sugar substitute for coffee being that I am diabetic..this is by far the worst LA Quinta Inn that I have ever stayed in..the facility was very run down so don't understand why the deposit since there's nothing thats worth damaging...maybe this is how they're gonna try to get the money to renovate it. These folks also want to charge for extra towels which is ridiculous.

The location of the hotel was incredibly convenient for getting to Downtown Corpus, the USS Lexington, and the Texas State Aquarium. Most attractions are located within 10 minutes of the hotel. While the location was good, I was disappointed with the cleanliness and housekeeping. The shower was dirty and had hairs in it, the bathroom counter was not clean. Our room was also not serviced the following day. I had to go up front and ask for towels. The room did not have an iron, even though one was listed as an available amenity.

There is absolutely nothing to like about this property. EVERYTHING! Room was filthy. Towels were stained. Let me just say I slept on top of the covers, fully dressed, because I didn’t want to see what the sheets looked like.

PLEASE!!!!! DO NOT STAY HERE. We walked into our room and instantly walked out it was SO BAD. I went to the front desk to get a refund and THREE others were there to try to get a refund and cancel their stay too!! It was so so bad!! Hair everywhere, a weird mystery stain on the floor, crumbs everywhere, and mold allllll around the shower drain! So nasty. And the front desk people were no help at all and refused to give anyone a refund.

Waited 45min in line to check in. The room had poop on the towels, top of the toilet, and shower curtain upon arrival. Along with a dirty shower, dirty sink, and floor had obviously not been swept. Housekeeper came and dropped off 2 towels. Didn’t clean, didn’t change the shower curtain, didn’t sweep. Had to go back and wait another 45 min in line to tell the front desk the housekeeper did not clean or change the shower curtain. The pool chairs are rusted and broken.

Room wasn’t really clean found a dope bag beside one bed, found molded ramen noodles in dresser and other areas not clean. The bed was broken down not comfortable. Didn’t bring fresh towels, or shampoo conditioner or soap for 2nd day we stayed. No breakfast at 9 when we checked out . Staff was friendly at check in and out but that place needs a revamped on bed and throughly cleaned I have pictures of everything as well.

Pretty basic hotel. The breakfast was not that great and went quickly, but we did stay during a holiday. The staff was not great at communicating but we were able to check in and get where we needed to go.

The room smelled like milddew and the bathroom was not clean. The towels were dirty, no phone connected and no cold water.! I know the price was reasonable but the hotel could have been kept up to par atleast.

The room was so bad, if i had a way to get ahold of management id demand a full refund. The room had not been properly cleaned in a extremely long time. There was a brown, hairy, sticky, and foul odor residue under the nightstand. The only reason it was noticed was because the phone did not work so i looked behind the night stand to confirm it was plugged in. When i moved the nightstand back is when i saw it. There was the same under the fridge, the dresser, inside the lounge chair and around the bottom of both beds. The worst of it is even if i wanted to complain the staff could care less and were completely incompetent. Both beds were so dirty my family had to sleep on top the beds on our own towels and under our own blankets. By far the absolute worse experience imaginable. This "hotel" should be investigated by corporate and by the health inspector and to be honest calling themselves a hotel is a joke in itself. It was a dumpster with a fancy logo.

After room was inspected. Highly recommend for you to take pictures and show them everything wrong with room. Hotel needs some update and newer furniture. Ok for a night stay but if longer, would not recommend. Breakfast was pleasant.

The toilet took an unusually long time to flush, and no one on the staff explained any of the issues related to the remodeling when we checked in. The only indication was the renovation signs posted throughout the property. The room itself was not very clean. The floors were dirty, and there was drywall dust and plaster throughout the room. The coffee maker and the cups had a sticky residue on them, and the room phone appeared to be there only for decoration—it didn't seem functional and was also covered in a sticky substance. One of the beds was broken, although the bedding itself was clean. The air conditioner worked well, which was appreciated, but the shower left much to be desired. The lobby also had an unpleasant odor. The staff wasn't rude, but they also weren't particularly welcoming. They were polite when spoken to, but there was very little warmth or hospitality. In the hotel industry, I would expect a friendlier and more engaging customer service experience. Finally, I was disappointed that the booking website did not disclose the required $100 security deposit before our arrival. It would have been helpful to know about this charge in advance so we could plan accordingly.

This was the worse experience. The room was not clean, no mattress cover, no pillow covers, stains on mattress and pillows, ac not working, remote to tv had no batteries, floors were dusty. When we told front desk, they suggested that we leave instead of making it right so me and family packed up and left. It was room 255 so warning people if you get this room ask for another unless they actually cleaned it after we left. Will never go back there again

Great staff. Very helpful and patient. Room needed upkeep. Mattress was very old and lumpy. Only two small pillows per bed. Did like the large TV and channel selection. A lot of people at breakfast. Staff did their best to keep the area clean and fresh food.

The place was enough to get us through the night, but it wasn’t what it looks like in the photos. Bed stains, restroom wasn’t cleaned, and it smelled funky. Just rather give honest feedback, especially being that we book online. I hate when I book and it’s not what I expected especially given the ratings.

Rooms smelled bad, asked them to please come do the rooms. Never came once during our stay they posted they would come every 3 days was there 4 never came once even when asked.

The room was clean but did not have the sofa bed like we had seen when we reserved so we ask to be moved to one. When they moved us to the second room it had a big puddle of water in the center of the floor which was coming from the AC. They offered to clean it up but it’s obvious the AC is leaking and probably not working well. We ended up cancelling and getting our money back which took 5 days to get credit back. Rooms are old need to be updated and place looks so sketchy. Ended up going to La Quinta by the airport and way better.

The bed was confortable with a big tv. The bathroom was awful and the fridge was broken. Went to breakfast early morning, they had no eggs. We had to wait for the guy on the counter to cook them, no orange juice, they forgot to put it on, it was frozen and said we had to wayit 25 minutes to thaw out. Overall it was a 2 star hotel

The sheets had blood on them. The drawer had a roach inside. The tub was dirty and had hair in it. They state they do not have ice buckets. You can only get a cup of ice.

One of the dirtiest and disgusting places I have ever stayed. My first room had blood on the walls and counters, black dirt in the tub, and sticky crap all over the phone and counter. Second room I was moved to was so dirty, the people cleaning it must close their eyes to clean. It is gross

Pool was not enjoyable. It was cloudy n looked dirty. Room was clean and smelled great however found 4 bugs silverfish under pillows n sheets. Tv was not working n rooms were full so we couldn't move to another room. Pillows were to soft but bed was comfortable.

Last min booking or I probably would have looked else where. From the moment we walked into our rooms it was 1 thing after another. I always check my rooms when traveling because bed bugs and all....and though I didnt find any in our room when I was inspecting the room I found the area by the TV had crumbs and was not cleaned, floors same not cleaned, like they fixed the bed from last guest added a few towels (that weren't that clean looking and that was it. Room has mold. Door looked kicked in.....big gap that u could see out under. The room had a conjoined door to another room that didnt look all that secure. Beds are not queen maybe full size at best. Our ac in the room worked for a bit and would cut off and the outlet it was connected to was not even connected to a wall it was just laid out on the floor tucked under the unit. Asked for new towels last night there as house keeping didnt come by to exchange towels and was told no towels and the towels we did have that were clean were stained and didnt smell clean at all. Do not recommend unless it all thats left and u need a place to sleep (if u can)

This location was the worst place ever. The rooms were not ready on time, my daughter waited 30 mins outside for her room which check in is at 3:00 we arrived at 5:30 so it should have been done. My other daughter’s room was filthy had blood stains on sheets and marijuana in the drawers and dirty bathroom. Note that we complained when we got there and they were gonna clean came back 4 hours later and nothing was done. Do not go to this place

One of the staff members also lied to me. Before checking in, I asked about the pool because it was important to me and one of the main reasons I booked this place. I was told it would open at 10 a.m. the next day since it was under maintenance at the time. However, when I went the next morning, I was told the pool was actually closed until further notice. That was very frustrating because the pool was a big reason why I chose this hotel in the first place. We also had problems with the door key not working. We had to walk back to the front desk twice before we were finally given a different room where the key worked properly. Breakfast was okay, but overall the experience was disappointing. Honestly, I would not stay here again. This will definitely be my last resort if I ever need a place to stay.

I have stayed at several la quinta. This place was the most disgusting overall. Bathroom was dirty.

At the first guy on reception asked my credit card for deposit, l was ready to swipe, but he asked to have just card itself to take all the information from my card, that I find unacceptable, so I had to go to nearest gas station to get cash for deposit. All the property and room are really dirty and in terrible condition. There are two unsecured dogs walking around without any lashes, which I find definitely unsafe and unacceptable. Unfortunately it’s late night and I have no time to find a better place.

Very strong odors in the room that smelled like cleaning products had been used to try to unsuccessfully cover the odors up. When we checked in the desk clerk would only speak to my male partner and noticeably ignored any interaction to me as a female. Have stayed at other LaQuintas in the past with good experiences.

This hotel was awful. The door would not close all the way. We couldn’t lock it properly. We were told maintenance would be sent to fix it and never came.The curtain had holes and white spots. The shower was dirty and had hair. Housekeeping was sent and the housekeeper was rude and slammed our door. The room smelled so bad from mold that our clothes smelled like it. It was an awful place to stay.

The first night there were only 2 towels and 2 wash cloths when there was 5 of us staying. We asked multiple times over our 3 day stay for clean wash cloths and towels and did not have much luck getting them. When we finally got them there were only 5 towels and no wash cloths. We requested house keeping to clean our room and no one ever showed up. We went to swim in the hotel pool and the gate was locked so we went to the front desk to ask why and they said the pool was closed due to chemicals. There was no sign on the pool stating it was closed and the person at the front desk couldn't tell us when the pool was going to be reopened. We could not watch anything on the tv in the room because none of the channels were working. We found a cigarette inside of the couch that looked like it had previously been lit. We were in a "non-smoking" room. And to top it all off, the hotel had a main water break. It happened the 3rd day we were there. We were out most of the day and had came back that evening to no water. We went to the front desk to ask why. The person said it would be back on by midnight. We decided to stay since we had paid for the hotel in advance and didn't think we would be waiting too long for the water to come back on. We woke up the next morning to no water. We were told by the person at the front desk there was a main water break and they couldn't tell us when it would be back on. We cut our trip short and asked for a refund for our remaining 2 days.
