Breakfast was good, bed was comfortable. Condition of the property wasn’t great.

The pool and hot tub are good. The room was decent, breakfast was good. It’s safe and doable. No bedbugs.

Didn't like the breakfast.....

I reserved and was confirmed 3 rooms through hotels.com. When I got there they only showed hotels.com had reserved 1 room and at more than I was confirmed. They offered me a 2nd room at much much more than the confirmed rate. They didn't have a 3rd room available so we had to scramble to find a place for our 3rd family to sleep. Of the 2 families who did stay there, they reported it was dirty and run down, they got stuck in the elevator, the staff was rude, and when they went to get towels, because no one gave them towels after waiting an hour for someone to bring them some, there was a line of people at the front desk complaining about different things. 2 years ago I had a similar experience here and swore I would never return. Shame on me for trying them again. I won't make that mistake again.

Disappointing

We also had an issue with the pull-out sofa. We could not get it to pull out completely, so we were unable to use it. When we tried to put it back in to get it out of the way, it would not close properly either. The shower was another concern, when showering the water ran very, very slowly. Overall, the stay was comfortable and the staff was great, but these issues were a little disappointing and could definitely use some attention.

I liked it was close to the beach When we first arrived we was taking care of very well I do not know any of their names cuz none of the employees had on name tags so I can't tell you who was what. After making it to my room at 1:30 a.m. in the morning I unfolded the sofa sleeper for my daughter and it was horrendous had some black mold growing on it understandable being by the ocean and with the balcony door that would stay open all the time but it wasn't checked or cleaned didn't have blankets or sheets for the sofa sleeper for my daughter which I wasn't going to let her sleep on it anyway so I told her to get in bed with us. The next morning I went down to see what I could get done I'll talk to the lady first and she said y'all(Booking.com) would not let her do it that's when I messaged y'all then her manager (I assume) saw me asking her if she had ever checked the email that y'all had sent her which she hadn't she said why didn't you help them she said I've been trying but they're a third party, the lady says it doesn't matter take care of them get them with their need and she proceeded tell me at 3:00 the next day she would have us a room ready which she did it was not a balcony room it was not an ocean view room it did have two queen beds and a sofa sleeper I never checked the sofa sleeper on this one I was just glad that I got my daughter an extra bed the next day her attitude completely changed the following days ,elevators didn't work half the time had to climb stairs up and down you couldn't have a drink or anything by the pool. That's just a piece of it but I'm going to leave it rest there and I will not be going back there

Room smelt like mildew. We found a toenail in our bed when we first got there. Breakfast was good though!

Exceptional

Smell of mold everywhere in the building. Ocean view room, but can’t even enjoy it because parking lot lights stayed on day and night. I asked the staff to turn them off during the day and she looked at me like I was crazy and said that you needed to stay on for security. The brightest LEDs burning your eyes out.

Jesse has absolutely wonderful customer service!! He checked in, gave clear instructions and provided great suggestions. The breakfast serving staff was great, too!! Otherwise, there was a morning employee who sat at the computer (blonde with glasses) and others who didn’t even act like we were there — my husband and I had to initiate conversation and WE were the guests. I’d suggest you have Jesse teach your other employees how to provide a great customer experience and change that culture around.

Staff is very friendly, my room was clean and offer shampoo, conditioner, body wash, hand soap, body lotion all from dove the smell good. It has a mini fridge, microwave, and coffe matching with pods for coffe decafs and tea. Even though parking is an extra fee it was good after all. I would recommend. Location is great

Overall, it was nice. A few bumps in the road where the hotels team was very kind. I am not sure I would run back. BUT it was a parking lot away from the beautiful beaches. and a few food options nearby. and a yummy breakfast. It met our needs for a quick trip to Corpus Christi!

Pool was decent. Only 1 elevator was more inconvenient than expected. Room needs to be maintained and upgraded.

Hot juice , no individual milk or non dairy products ! No vegan options. Terrible overall quality! The staff manager accused my 21 year old daughter of stealing On her Birthday an Iron and blow dryer that was never In The room ! And charged me $150 and when I complained they said it was there before you! My “new generation “ children DO NoT IRON or BLOWDRY!!! There to LAZY !!! So UPSET!! SHAdY STAFF (Daniel) manger never returned my calls I talked to 3 Staff members!! Terrible LIARS

I contacted Expedia through the virtual assistant for a refund and was told I’d be receiving full refund due to how dirty and moldy the hotel was. We checked in, went to room, it smelled horrible with mold on pictures and window and broken & loose floor tiles etc. we left right away. The front desk girl said that Expedia only had to send email to them and they’d approve the full refund. I didn’t stay there, it was gross.

This hotel has the worst customer service I have encountered. I would carefully consider that before staying. Things like customer service, kindness and fairness are important to me; so I personally would never book here again.

Don't waste your time. For the money should of went Airbnb route. Unhelpful needed a plastic spoon too much trouble. TV didn't work properly came by couldn't fix said they would be back never happened. Breakfast was underwhelming at best. Coffee machine in room not working but you only had 2 cups for two days. Carpet in room felt wet kinda disgusting. Came in room while at beach took towels but didn't replace...common sense..none. Pillows on bed weird smell. Noisy at night people next door sounded like they were in our room at all hours of the night. But don't use the pool past 10 even though bar across street had a block party all night and next door tiki bar as well. The "dudes" selling bbq in the grass out front really classed the place up, I hope they were paying for parking. Still wondering why I had to. The whole experience is what I expect from a 68 dollar motel 6 in any ghetto in America. Will never stay there again.

The biggest issue was the shower. Water flooded the bathroom every time we showered, and I had to clean it up each time. I certainly didn’t expect to be mopping floors while on vacation. Overall, it was a disappointing stay.

Wonderful hotel

Paint was peeling on walls and ceiling and had a patch job that was poorly done. Caulking and paint around the AC was horrible, there was a ceiling fan in our room but the fan didn’t work only the light, tiles in the bathroom were cracked.

Friendly and welcoming staff, a delicious and varied breakfast anc excellent value for the price. Clean comfortable, and a great place to stay. I would definitely recommend it

The best part of this hotel was that it was walking distance to the beach. Very convenient but other than that, the shower was dirty, the toilet was broken, and there was an unpleasant smell.

The hotel was really clean, breakfast was good, staff was friendly, The place was nice, in general ! I’ll definitely stay there again.

Danny was extremely helpful and friendly at the front desk. The hotel itself is in need of repairs and the laundry facilities on the property were out of service. Not good!! The room itself was comfy, but not the cleanest. The pool was cleaned daily and kept well. The location was great because you can walk across the street to the beach!

It’s been a week already and I have not received my deposit that was used on my credit card. The bath tub was old. The carpet needs to be cleaned.

So many surprise additional fees, deposits, charges- fee for parking, random 50$ deposit that may be refunded10 business days, sign that there is a $250 fee to hold open the elevator. Sign to only take one item from mini fridge that had yogurt, milk etc

I liked the queen bed mattress which gave a very comfortable sleep. I liked the free breakfast- hot, warm food and about 5 varieties of juices, clean and neat breakfast counter area, table and chairs, and helpful and friendly kitchen staff- offered help to microwave my food as i requested.

The location was great, very close to the beach. The hotel could use a bit more renovation, and the elevator did not work for half of our stay. It’s an independently owned hotel and I prefer a corporate one.

The service itself was decent, and the hotel was fine. However, I witnessed what appeared to be a female supervisor being very disrespectfully to employees in front of guests. Regardless of the circumstances, staff should be treated with professionalism and respect, especially in public areas where guests can see and hear the interaction. It created an uncomfortable atmosphere. Another issue was parking. I was never informed at check-in that parking required an additional fee. I only found out because I overheard another guest asking about it. That information should be communicated clearly to every guest upon arrival to avoid unexpected charges. Overall, the stay was acceptable, but I hope management works on improving communication with guests and fostering a more respectful workplace culture.

This is a great beach hotel. It was fully booked when I arrived…lots of people in and out. Other than that, it was reasonable cost.

The staff was super helpful. hotel is aged a bit for the price. We booked a suite, our room was hot, they did help and put a fan in which kept it ok. They weren't prepared for our room, only gave us 3 towels and there were 5 of us. Didn't have the blanket or extra pillows for the sofa bed. But they were quick to bring them. Breakfast was ok.

The bad - photos that i saw were not up to date. - the outside of hotel did not look great at all. - pool was a disappointment. - rooms had visible mold in certain places, and some previous mold was clearly painted over with what looked like killz primer. - restroom shower was not very clean. there were water stains everywhere, and mold in some places. - shower drain popped up and nearly cut my foot. - overall was not like the pictures shown on expedia. I would highly recommend looking elsewhere especially for the price we paid.

No room

The staff was good. There were a few things in the room that could be better. The handle on the toilet flusher would stick so there was a lot of water waste I would assume . A drawer in the room would not stay shut so that is dangerous for someone if they had to get up in the middle of the night. The room smelled musty…I assume because of all the humid weather.

This holiday inn was okay. The price was great for a weekend but the hotel is a little rundown. Only one elevator so expect to wait. The pool and hot tub were good as was the breakfast. The location is great...walking distance to whitecap beach.

Great. We had an easy walk to the beach and had a good time. Breakfast was decent.

The bed was very comfortable. The elevator was very slow which had us using the stairs a couple times.

Was just ok. Best part was the friendly staff. Everything else is just so so. Would stay somewhere else next time.

Very clean and staff friendly however, the water stopper in the tub did not stay open and the stew would not go down. I had to wedge in a plastic cup to keep it open and allow water to go down the drain. The toilet also didn’t work well and overflowed…

First know this property is across from the beach, depending on your room you might see the ocean. There is only one elevator for staff and visitors very inconvenient. The exercise room very small with too much stuff in it. Parking is $20 per day. I felt the rooms was tidy but definitely not clean.

They don’t want you to bring any alcohol into the pool area, which is weird for a hotel. The overall hotel and property is clean and maintained because there seems to be plenty of staff there and available. There’s parts of the hotel that seem a little bit aged in need repairs. For example, our bathroom floor seemed like it had water damage and was a little squishy which seemed like an issue they need to be jumping on.

Blackout curtain was not functional and when I requested they replace the non-functioning window they said they would and never did. The charger on the night stand had been removed and replaced with a piece of wood. The " breakfast" was very disappointing.. not much selection for what I paid. Broken tiles in the bathroom and shower that ran barely at a trickle.. no pressure..

The beds and pillows were so comfortable! The room was clean and everyone was very nice! Just wish the breakfast was a little later so we could have ate before our day.

Had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the room was clean and comfortable, and the amenities were excellent. The location was convenient and made it easy to explore the area. Housekeeping did a great job every day, and the overall atmosphere was relaxing and enjoyable. I would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable and pleasant experience.

Are stay here at the Holiday Inn was amazing the room was Top Notch plenty of space separate bedroom with a king size bed everything was on point, mini fridge microwave and coffee maker inside your room breakfast in the morning was amazing everything was hot and fresh staff was great pool was nice and refreshing, the hot tub was not working but that's okay Beach literally across the street, would definitely recommend anybody and we will be repeating customers thank you to Sam and Jesse and all the staff that took care of us really appreciate you guys!

3rd sleep area covered in rust, unusable. Staff had no remedy at all, not even fitted sheets.

Jessie, a staff member here, went out of his way to make us feel comfortable. He was very friendly and suggested a restaurant, which turned out to be awesome. He brought us some coffee pods when our room wasn't cleaned because we stayed in the room after the hotel cleaning staff went home. The other staff members greeted us when we came in and left and were helpful. Out of all the times I have stayed at a hotel, Jessie stands out as one of the friendliest and most helpful staff members.

Convenient location, pleasant staff, reasonable value for stay. Work out area was tight and lacked universal type strength training, but had ample aerobic equipment. Entry and lobby had a chemical fragrance smell, which my wife and I are sensitive to, but the room smell itself was fresh and clean.

Door lock was broken,bathroom mirror was broken, balcony door didnt close fully, no toilet paper roll holder, fridge was covered in ice, carpet was sticky, window shutter were broken preventing you from blocking out parking lot lights.

Great little hotel in North Padre/Mustang Island. The staff is incredible and attentive to it's guests. The little things go a long way in a hotel stay. They provided clean rooms, nice beds good mattress, clean linens and bathroom was in pretty nice shape too! Hot water works almost too good-I found myself turning it up all the way and seeing how long I good stand the boiling water lol the staff also did their best at controlling the sand being brought in by guests-they're a persistent bunch, both beach guests and always cleaning staff members hahaha

Everything in the hotel was in perfect condition. The only thing that we didn’t like is that at the pool, there was a bunch of grown-ups just by the bar and I couldn’t take my children to play in the pool. That’s the only thing we didn’t like.

Hotel is not well maintained. Shower curtain and door jamb were dirty. Bathtub was rusted. Pull down blinds torn. Roof area around light in the bathroom was cracked resulting in water pouring down in bathroom from upstairs room. Staff was friendly and helpful.

Did not enjoy the balcony’s view , will help a taller chairs and table for my drink the hut tub was dirty maybe because was lot of people

Great service, they do need a better breakfast line when they are very busy. The guy at the front desk told us we had an ocean view but didn’t tell us it was going to be cover by the canopy outside.

Highly disappointed in Holiday Inn Express. When we arrived we had to place a $50 security deposit ( in addition to paying off the room) They also have a $10 parking fee. The security deposit will be returned to your card within 5 days. When we got to our room the dirty windows looked out on trash containers. There was no toilet paper and (the worst) they have a festation of huge cockroaches on the 3rd floor. I mentioned it to the front desk who said “yes, we know there’s a problem but they come from the trees”. The only plus was a decent hot breakfast buffet and the ocean located across the highway.

No mention of parking fees at time of booking. Bedding and furniture was good. No receipt available at check out for parking fee.

I font think our room was reallt cleanef vacuumed but it was nice.. water cold on beach so we had to improvise ourstay. But the staff was nice

Old and decrepit

Staff welcomed us each time we entered the hotel and wished us fun on the beach when they noticed we were headed that way. The pull out bed in one of my rooms was broken and as soon as i let them know, they offered me another room. I did decline the offer cuz my 7 year old and 11 year old boys wanted to sleep on the ground and pretend to camp lol. Will be staying here again on future trips!

Clean room and decent breakfast but elevator closes whether you're ready or not, tv in our room wasn't set up so we couldn't watch anything, bathroom door didn't shut all the way and all tiles in entry and bath don't feel attached.
