The first room we were given had mold on the bath room ceiling and wall. There was a hole in the wall next to the bed, the second room they moved us to was a little better but you can tell they need to work on the rooms

Just a bad experience period

it was overall ok I wasnt impressed at all , the room was clean but no complete room service all they did was bring towels . An the breakfast is nothing but cereal for kiddos nothing else so it really is not a complimentary breakfast. Needless to say it would be the last resort hotel to go back to if I had to .

After a 3 1/2 hour drive from Austin, I arrived to a ran down hotel much different than the pictures posted online. I walked in to check in to find that the elevator was out of service and my room was on the third floor. I asked the manager why the on the hotel website it says that they have elevator access and he told me the elevator has been out of service for 4 years. Four years!!!! And they have not taken it off of their website. I told him I had small children and luggage and would not be taking it up three flights of stairs. He immediately dismissed me very rudely, talking over me and stated that he was processing my refund as we speak. I was blown away at the lack of customer service. I received no apology for the inconvenience of having to find another room or for the false advertisement. The hotel was raggedy and ran down from the exterior so in the end I'm not too mad that it didn't work out.

This place.is a dump. DO NOT BOOK THERE!

Needs some renovations, a lil run down for the price and being beach front. We stayed on the 3rd floor, the elevator was not working and we had to walk up 2 flights with luggage. Also parking is a joke we got put in the back of the motel had to leave the car in the front . For the price would not recommend.

This property has no elevator and a non working pool. Plus the room smells.

The breakfast was a bar and juice or coffee. It was all around not a good place to stay. The fridge had rust in it and there was mold on the walls in the bathroom. The stairs are also not in a great condition.

Don't go here it's a dump we didn't even check in one of the stairwell was completely rotted out and falling to the ground don't go here

The pool was nice and clean. It was open until 10:00pm. There was enough free parking. The hotel was not what you'd expect from WYNDHAM.

This place should not be stayed at ever. The door look like they have been kicked in. The building looks like it’s going to fall apart. DO NOT BOOK!!!!

The room didn’t have a coffee maker. Walking distant to the beach was good but the pool was green.

Bath tub was stained. The mattress base had dust and the light switch were rusted and drawers were glued shut. Breakfast was non existent. Only cereal. Nobody in lobby at any time. Outside needed to be clean trash all outside the doors. Elevator dont work. Stairway looks to be falling apart. Needs a deep cleaning and makeover. Only thing I thought was clean was sheets ans towels.

Room was not cleaned before I checked in. Food and dirt all over the floors, never wanted to take my shoes off. Door trim was off the wall 3+ inches like the doors been busted in. Rooms floors are uneven. Whole place looks like it’s about to collapse. Didn’t feel safe, didn’t feel clean, would not recommend to anyone I care about.

The only good things is that’s it’s by the beach?either than that wouldn’t trust it , TV was broken the carpet was dirty one of the laps didn’t work, over all just dirty so sad. I hate leaving bad reviews

Everything was bad. The whole hotel was dirty breakfast as it was mentioned on the website didn’t exist. The lobby of the hotel was locked due to front clerk was sleeping even though it was said that breakfast starts from 6 AM to 9 AM, only smelly coffee and granola bar represented which we could get at 8:30 AM. We paid for the room with the Ocean view, but one single window was a foggy dirty, as if it was plastic not glass. Room was on the third floor and the elevator didn’t work.. rooms are tiny outdated in certain didn’t worth the money. We paid, total disappointment, unfriendly, and it doesn’t worse to destroy your vacation time.. we just didn’t have a choice to go to another hotel because it was unfundable information on website was total fake and exaggeration of amenities rooms did not have a coffee machine that did provide a refrigerator and microwave bath. We had a safe in the room that was not function was sitting there like a piece of metal or part of design.

Solid, affordable spot walking distance from North Beach! Second time staying here in 11 years and it served its purpose perfectly for 1 night stay. **The Good:** We had a beautiful ocean view, super clean room with great AC, and incredibly kind staff. Check-in was a breeze. You can't beat the price or the location (easy walking distance to North Beach). **The Needs-Improvement:** The wooden stairs look and feel a little frail, the bathroom door didn't close all the way, and there was no warm water in our shower. Despite the maintenance quirks, it's a great deal for the area. Would recommend and would stay again!

Room had a moldy smell. Shower water pressure was extremely low. Lights in room , bathroom & vanity area very dim & going out. Did see some small roaches near bed area.

Never go to this place when I got there the lady told me I had booked smoking . She tried to trick me because she had booked all the non smoking. Went to my car got the hotel .com reservation where it showed non smoking. I tried calling hotels.com but no number and had to text with a rude agent I kept asking for a number to speak with someone. I’ll post the texts with the agent. Finally I got a refund. Had to spend money booking another hotel. I’ve been a customer of hotel.com for many years but will never use their services.

It was dirty. It smelled like mold. And the restroom had mold on the ceiling and you can see how they try to paint over it but still can see it toilet paper in the tub a ball of hair on the side of the toilet trash, wrappers on the side of the bed by the backboards never again I stay here

Could of been real coffee, instead of machine coffee, but it got me through. Enjoyed my stay, would stay there again.

The owner canceled our reservation without letting us know and wanted to charge us over $100 for the room without going booking.com. He was trying to get money from us. We wasted over an hour trying to work with him and he didn’t want to work with us. He said that Booking.com wasn’t gonna do anything if I called him anyway the hotel was really raggedy. Pieces of sheet rock were coming off from everywhere and while we were there, we heard at least two people complain that their rooms weren’t clean. The property looked really rundown and needed a lot of repair. Everything was dingy.

Nothing. Room was one of the worst I’ve stayed in and the price was terrible high. The room and everything in the room was disgusting- bathroom, floor, bed and bedding. Toilet was not even bolted down.

This place was horrible. Rooms were dirty - sheets and towels not clean . My kids and I couldn't sleep with all the drunk people being so loud . We will never come back .

The property has been poorly maintained. There are no rooms on the ground floor. The stairs are very unsafe and there was no elevator. There was no shower curtain in the bathroom. The property announced a cold breakfast and all we were offered was coffee and tea. A lot of improvement needs to be done to this property.

Clean room, cold a/c, close to the beach. The area felt safe. The staff were super nice.

Close to the shoreline is definitely a positive, roaches in the rooms, staled air and very stuffy rooms, A/C was ok. If you’re asthmatic or have COPD please DO NOT attempt a night here, black mold and mildew above the bathroom door, ceiling is cracked and asbestos or paint residue falling off. Run, run and run. I am definitely not booking here again.

We could not stay in the room due to mold, broken ac, and soft flooring that wasn’t safe to walk.

The place is nothing like the listing. Place is pretty beat down, room is dirty, towels are old and stained as well as the bed. The whole place just feels sketchy. Will not use ever again so definitely do not recommend.

The room was good except for minor comsemetic issues, laminate on table was peeling and caught on us a couple times, and broken lamp. We rented the room days ahead of time and checked in with 5 people the room said sleeps 5, but with myself, husband, 2 teenage girls and a 8 year old boy sleeping arrangement was tight in the 2 double size bed room. The one rollaway bed was already being used. Only 3 towels for showering were available, luckily I read towel shortage was a big complaint in the reviews and brought extra. There was trash under the railing in walkway near the entrance to the room that never got picked up by staff even though we saw them cleaning rooms nearby the trash. Some of the tiles on the floor in the room was uneven and shifted when walked on and popped into place randomly. The breakfast was only from 7 to 9 am and was a couple of apples and a couple containers of cereal out. Far from a standard continental breakfast as listed on website. Stairs are in need of a repaint and texture, should really fix big hole in lobby ceiling near elevator. The pool was very nice and really close to beach huge plus! Over all okay, but wouldnt stay here again. Should invest in more rollaway beds. Since website states bed(s). Only one is offere

Very old tub and bed lousy Allen's smell dirty all bad

To call an apple and a granola bar with a cup of bad coffee is a stretch. The property is in desperate need of maintenance and updates. Seems like someone is just trying to pull out as much cash as possible.

Towel replacement was like an interrogation. 1 tiny trash can for 4 people was never emptied. I roll of toilet paper for 4 people The room had a continuous stench like old onions. The room is very tiny. No bag for the ice bucket and the bucket was dirty.

The elevator wasn't working. Our TV didn't work. Our bedside lamps had bulbs that strobed off/on and needed to be replaced. The A/C did fine. It was a good location to access the beach and downtown Corpus Christi.

Won’t be staying there again

Blood on comforter, homeless circling the area like vultures, pictures of hotel are not as described. No eating options without driver 15 min or more.

The breakfast wasn't really a breakfast, they didn't offer different drinks and only two types of cereal but nothing else.

Terrible Stay Our room was on the third floor no elevators, breakfast was only coffee no creamer 2 kinds of cereal, apples. If we needed towel we had to go downstairs to get them and give them the use ones. The didn't make our beds not worth the money you pay for. I had emergency with family member thank God it was not too serious with our family they wouldn't let me cancel they said we would lose our money because we had got a discount on holiday but I look it up it was the same price. so we stayed 2 more days because we got 3 days then took off with our family members.

I didn’t eat at the hotel. The smell in the room smell like mold and mildew. The owner brought up some spray but it didn’t help. The faucet in bath tub was broken the wall had been replaced the keyhole had a napkin shutting it out.

Nothing Everything

We walked in to check into our room and 1st thing we noticed was the terrible smell, we were bringing our 95 year old grandmother to see the ocean for the first time, they had us on the 2nd and 3rd floors with no elevator. I ask about breakfast and he said that they have grab and go. They have granola bars and some fruit. Needless to say my husband wasn't happy at all and went on to voice goods opinion. The man told him we did not book handicap we told him it wasn't an option. He said our grandmother would be fine going up 3 flights of stairs out side. We ended up not staying at this place, my husband told him what he thought and he didn't like it and said they will refund our money but I needed to contact the place we booked through. I'm sure we won't see the refund. We did end up staying at the Hilton Inn on the beach and it was perfect and they put nano on a corner room with the best view. Don't stay here under any circumstances. I don't do reviews but I was really upset and do not want anyone else to have a bad experience

Property in bad condition. Breakfast? Coffee, yogurt, granola, apple cereal. Not a piece of bread! This ia not a continental breakfast. The property seems to be uninhabited.

Free parking, bbq pit, pool, pinic area Cleanliness of rooms were poor , bed comforter had stains and stitching, tv was not visible, only cold breakfast, no hot breakfast.

The view was nice the room was nice The elevator was out of service and looked like it has been out of service for along period of time. Being in early 70s having to go up 3 flight of stairs everytime really plaid a toll.

The location. Door was difficult to open. Fridge would not cool. Sheets were not clean, stains and loose hairs. Floors sticky and dirty. Towels had loose hairs. The stairs to 3rd floor not clean and walk ways were slanted. Didn’t look safe. Complimentary breakfast was not good.

The 3 story building is a little aged, and has no working elevator. That said, the room was perfect for my overnight stay. As an added bonus, this has to be one of the last hotels to offer smoking rooms. Being one block from the beach was very nice, and the view for sun rise was beautiful.

The elevator did not work. There was a big hole in our room wall. There was very little to eat at the breakfast.

Actually when I got there I knew this was not going to be the place for me lobby had a bad smell elevator was broken when ask if I would be able to see the ocean the person in front replied so so the stairs to get up the 2nd floor were wooden and wobbly did not even go into the room went back downstairs and left the property even though I had already checked in and paid

Rooms smelled like mold lights didn't work and some lights don't turn off. Looked better in the ad than In person. Definitely won't return.

there was a terrible fight at night with throwing furniture around, but the hotel staff the next morning said there was nothing. rather unfriendly experience. also no breakfast prepared...

I had 2 rooms 1 for me and one for my daughter's both of them was horribly and dirty the room i stay in had a holes in the wall the rooms had dirty floors the bathroom was dirty. The rooms don't match the photo online.

Room was very clean however the outside of the building is very weathered and dated. Elevator is broken, seemed no urgency to get repaired when asked about it. Poor breakfast selection. No bedspread on the bed. Only some lights worked in the room. Bed is squeaky and metal in and around the building is very rusty.

The elevator was broken and the owners used the entrance as personal parking. The room did not have a working refrigerator, the safe was broken, and the bed had sheets and a blanket only. The towels were left on the toilet and only one bar of soap and one shampoo bottle was provided. Breakfast was cereal or a breakfast bar. The walk way to the room also leaned as if the fountain was failing.

This was a good place to stay for a motel, good value, friendly staff, clean room, nice well kept pool and grounds and the grounds were very well lit up. My wife and I stayed for 3 nights wth our 3 year old and enjoyed ourselves, we walked to the beach and the Lexington close by. Down side, only had coffee and cereal for breakfast, we stayed on the 3rd floor and the elevator is there but doesn't work so had to climb up and down 3 flights of stairs. I give it a 4 out of 5, again we were looking for economy not luxury.

On arrival to room I entered and room was dirty, blood on mattress and restroom dirty only one towel and bed was a mess like someone had was asleep on it once complained was given another room but restroom was dirty with bowel in toilet. I want my money refunded.

Expedia listed hot breakfast when the breakfast was yogurt cereal apple and coffee, hotel had on their listing as continental breakfast on their amenities Elevator out of order both of us had to walk up 2 flights of stairs when we have limitations when bleach wore off in room a smell of mold dead fish but over all room was decent...the hotel had a first but was taken by the owners

The building was old. No elevators to go up. Had to use the 3 flights of stairs to take our items up. No ice maker's on our floor either. You have to go downstairs to the office for ice.

Hotel was decent and what you would expect from a 2.5/3 star. Loved how close it was to the beach. Overall i would stay here again in the future.

Property as a whole seemed neglected. Inoperative elevator was an inconvenience as our group was on the ird floor. We didn't necessarily mind the limited continental breakfast bu the coffee was very weak.

The hotel is horrible on the outside and on the inside it is very dirty and deteriorated. I would never return to this place. I do not recommend it.

Parked in front of the lobby to check in then we took the luggage to the room but were immediately called to move. So the staff could park their cars in front of the door in the shade blocking any costumer from parking to check in. The two cars stayed there all night (4pm 08-02 to 7pm 08-03). Brackets consisted of cereal yogurt and apple coffee tasted like dirty water. Misled to say we had to go to a restaurant to eat. We will never stay there again nor we recommend anyone to stay there.

Dirty and dilapidated. Beds were not clean and or made up.

The sheets were dirty, the microwave was dirty, the fridge didn’t get cold. The electricity was shut off for a little bit. The breakfast is just cereal and an apple. The coffee was full of coffee grounds. The orange juice they did have was watered down so it tasted like water with a hint of orange juice. The lemonade was watered down as well. The only good thing was the beach was close by and the price was cheap but most definitely not worth the stay.

Bedsheets were stained and dirty both beds, I called for someone to come change them and the person who answered said everybody left home and she couldn’t get new sheets when I told her they were dirty she said they send them off to wash so then the one that put the sheets should’ve seen they were dirty. Finally she calls back for me to go them because she was working alone, and she only gave me 2 top sheets when the bottom sheets were dirty. The phone the room didn’t work either. This property needs better management a better cleaning service and a good cleaning inside and out.

One of the worst decision of a stay we made during our travel to stay.

Wyndham bought this property and they need to invest in getting the front desk people customer service training and they need to check on how the remodel is going because a lot of the rooms are not done and not done properly. Will not go back to this hotel the front desk people are very rude when telling there’s a problem with hot water.

For starters, pics on need to be updated. Looks nothing like that. Exterior is awful. Serious paint job needed. No bedspreads on beds. Just the old fashion blanket my grandma use to have. There was dead little bugs. People were nice enough and pool was clean. They have construction workers rent out daily so take your own pit. They take over all three plus the tables I the pool area . Next morning beer cans and trash everywhere. No hot breakfast. It was ok though. I don’t think I would’ve eaten there anyway.

The best thing I can say is that it was clean. Third floor room and no elevator. WiFi was spotty and weak. Breakfast was cereal and yogurt only.

Breakfast was terrible. Cereal, small pitcher of milk, granola bars, a few yogurts in the fridge. A family walked in saw slim choices they had and walked back out. The building is very old and smelled. It definitely needs some updates. They never informed us before checking in the city was shutting the water off. I strongly recommend that everyone search for other lodging.

Only rooms on the third floor with no elevator. Had to literally beg for towels for a day and a half to get clean towels. There was standing water and the mosquitos were big as flies. Limited parking available, the rooms are in need of repair. The ceiling falling down in some areas. While it was acceptable for two nights, I would not stay there again.

The elevator is permanently out of order. We were given a room on the 3rd floor. The room was very small, but fairly clean. Our kids are 6, 8 and 11. It was a very tight fit for them in a full size bed. Knowing we had 5 people checking in, our room only had 2 bath towels. They did not offer us more. On day 3 of our 4 day stay housekeeping came by and asked if we needed clean towels. We had to give our dirty towels, and were given 2 fresh bath towels. We were told the hand towels and washrags were still bring laundered and they would bring them by one they were done. They did not. We had to ask for toilet paper... because 5 people in a room and only 1 roll of toilet paper was provided. Housekeeping never made our beds or took out trash. Breakfast is a joke. Cereal and milk, yogurt, granola bars. Watered down juice. The exterior is worn, older looking and rusted. Our room had an oceanview. The pool was clean and refreshing. Would we stay here again? Probably not.

The hotel itself is outdated and broken down. The room was filthy, blankets and towels were stained and the walls had holes in them.. The paint was peeling off the walls in the restroom.

Room wasn’t ready at check in , ac wasn’t working they had to fix it while we waited in the lobby . They let us know there was a full continental breakfast and when we checked it was just cereal with no milk . The ac went out multiple times because a breaker kept flipping , they advised us to unplug the microwave and still off and on. The door was jammed and hard to open. Overall it was a very bad experience and wouldn’t recommend this stay to anyone

Room was fine. Elevator broken so had to go to back of property and then climb 4 flights of stairs each with 8 steps.

Work in progress and limited amenities. Pool worked and beach was close. Elevator was broken, limited towels, pillows, & breakfast. Facility was in much disrepair with dilapidated stairs, broken floor tiles due to unlevel building, and over 100 feet of a plant in the front lobby strung across walls and the leading ceiling.

This property should be torn down and rebuilt. Everything is rundown and falling apart. The room was a mess, the bathroom was disgusting. The bathtub was filthy and the shower curtain rod was barely hanging on. The paint was peeling and the walls were cracked. I only stayed one night and moved to a different hotel the next day. I don't recommend anyone stay here

My first stay there. I was a bit taken aback by the outside appearance, but being right next to salt-water you can expect some "wear" on the exterior surfaces. The landings and stairs need a good paint job as they are bare wood showing. However, the staff was very pleasant, engaging, and accomodating. Although the exterior looked a bit tired, the inside of my room as well as my family's was an 8/10! Very nice and clean except for the floor which had some grit (maybe sand blew in at some point) but was very nice surprised by the room. Beds were very comfortable and all was crisp and clean. We will stay again.

Location was far away from restaurants. Breakfast was a granola bar and a bad coffee. The floor in the room was on such a tilt the chair rolled across the room.

Building is old. Elevator not working. Outside stairs need replaced or stripped and repainted. Breakfast wasn’t much of a breakfast. Juice and coffee and the coffee was not good at all.
