Nothing high end about the rooms but it got the job done. Right across from the park and walking distance to the beach. Ice machine Was amazing to keep ice chest filled with cold drinks. Parking wasn’t too great with just one entrance so it got blocked quite a bit when multiple people came at the same time. The clerk stayed behind a little window and we couldn’t enter the lobby but he was always there at the window when we needed towels from the pool or check in and out.

We bought a fan to cool down the room. The ac ran all day but could not cool down the room. The sink and bathroom area was very hot. The comforter and blankets has holes. There was spider crawling in the vanity mirror and moth on the curtain. The room was not cleaned the second day we had to talk to the manager. Several times we went to the office, it was shut and no staff was present. The room had slight dust when we checked in. The place looks run down.

The floor in the room wasn't clean. The dresser drawers were partly usable. The bottom drawer bottom was completely gone. Air conditioning was fine. The bed was ok. The second night is when I saw the bugs and flies. The TV was hard to figure out so I didn't watch anything. The refrigerator freezer was full of ice which really needed cleaning. This is the first place where I had to stand outside of the office area to check in. One tiny opening in the wall to speak to the attendant. I tolerated all of the above annoyances, but my biggest complaint with this establishment was they had no ADA parking for people with disabilities. And I'm disabled. Who do I report that to? That is federal law! Apparently, the parking was all first come first serve. I no longer had my parking spot in front of my room. I would be embarrassed to bring anyone to the room!

It's a Budget Inn, you're staying because you need a place to stay and sleep with basic expectations. It's what I expected. Parking was fine, the room was fine. It had a large fridge, coffee maker, and microwave which many pricer hotels stopped offering because they expect you to pay for their own onsite services. The location is fine, and parking was fine (And free). Checking in was hassle free. The bed was comfortable, the TV had cable and came in fine. AC worked fine. No real complaints, just set your expectations for budget, and you'll be fine.

We had some music playing not complaints from the office which was nice. We sat with family outside our room and heard some music and walked to the beach. For the most part area felt safe. The initial service to check-in was terrible. Looking thru a 12x12 window with the smell of curry flowing out was nauseating. There were only soap bars to shower with, no shampoo or conditioner. The second I stepped into the room I felt a heaviness in the air. There was a funky smell and the sheets had cigarette burn holes. The first night I didn't really notice it because I came home so late and only slept for 5 hrs. However, on the second night I woke up feeling my entire body burning. I walked to the mirror and saw over 20 red bumps all over my body. I had also noticed my nostrils plugging up (I'm allergic to bed bugs). I'm still itching to this day. (It's been a full week since). Don't do it!

We were looking for something that could fit our large family and this was it, 3 queens in the room! And we were right across the street from the beach and a park, we just crossed the street and we were walking on the beach! The rooms were not fancy but good enough since we weren't going to be in much. The room had a fridge and microwave which was also something I wanted. My only complaint would be, that the lobby wasn't big enough for anyone to eat and had no tables or chairs and the breakfast (cereal & milk, some pastries & juice, and coffee) was kinda sad. But without a real lobby I guess there's not much else they could serve. But it was one meal I didn't have to buy. So, for the money, it was worth it.

Not a bad place to stay for the price. AC worked good. Bed very comfortable. I think the parking space for our room was occupied our entire stay by the owners or employees of the motel. The hotel clerk was very nice. When we got to the room it looked cleaned until I went into the bathroom there was hair all over the toliet and floor like it had not been swept or cleaned. Then when I took off my shoes and had my socks on and walked around saw that my socks were dirty with dirt I realized that the carpet had not been vaccumed. Other than that it was alright, since it was too late to get another hotel.

The paint job was haphazard, with uneven borders that left us wondering which was new and which was old - and whether they had a plan. There was a rooftop area that looked like it might have been intended for the guests; enjoyment, but without chairs or other furniture. The next morning, we went downstairs to check out breakfast. The coffee was stone cold, the "hot" water was tepid. We didn't try the OJ or apple juice. There was cereal (Froot Loops and corn flakes) and chopped up cinnamon rolls. That was it. We left to find a REAL breakfast.

Although we don't spend $$$$ on a hotel, we were afraid that this $ motel would suck. Wrong! I looked for lodging close to my friends' home for 2 nights. We really got lucky. The building is old but the rooms are large and clean and it's right across the street from what I will call the seawall/boardwalk. We saw the sun rise over the water from the rooftop deck (what a beautiful sight) then walked to enjoy the various gazebos and other POIs with historical facts. No, I'm not a history buff, far from it, but it was interesting, even romantic. Take a glass of wine and enjoy! If you have champagne taste, go across the street to the Holiday Inn and pay four times as much. I don't guess you'll need the fridge and microwave over there.

Pros: We arrived very late but the lady at the front desk smiled and was friendly. We were surprised to find a larger mini-fridge and a two burner electric stove in the kitchen. The king sized bed had 5 pillows. The maids brought in fresh towels every day. The TV had basic cable with clear reception. The A/C worked so well you forgot it was 100 degrees outside. There were coin operated laundry machines. The beach was literally right across the street with a play ground just as close. The sand was soft with lots of pretty shells. The water was wonderfully warm and was very shallow 50 ft out from the shore. The marina was also just a few blocks down the road. The hotel was at full capacity but we never heard our neighbors. Overflow parking is the church parking lot right next door. The original Whataburger is just around the corner. Cons: The carpets did have gum spots and was a little on the dirty side (which we tracked in a lot of sand from the beach ourselves), and someone had peppered the walls with boogers in the bathroom. And there were some hairs on the bed that didn't belong to us when we first arrived (from the maid most likely). That being said, we didn't contract any diseases or break out in a rash and as long as I didn't lick the carpet, I felt fine occupying the room. The beach does have grapefruit-sized 'cabbage head' jellyfish that frequently hang out about 80 ft out but according to the Aquarium, they 'usually don't sting.' My husband accidentally swam right into a pack of them and didn't get stung. I didn't see any public bathrooms or showers on the beach. This hotel is definitely not the Ritz Carlton and Corpus is definitely not Palm Beach. If you have refined tastes, you'll probably be very uncomfortable. If you're a middle class American looking for a beach vacation that fits into a tight budget, this is your hotel.

I had a meeting scheduled for 08:00a.m. in Corpus Christi, and since I live in Edinburg, TX, I decided to drive up the night before for convenience. I searched online for a hotel close to where my meeting would be held. The first thing I noticed when I walk into my room are the stains on the comforter, the next thing I notice is there is a HUGE dead cockroach as soon as you enter the bathroom. There was abosolutely no soap in the room, and I notice every piece of furniture is mismatched and in disrepair. I decided it is just for one night I won't even pull back the covers and I will sleep on top of a towel because I didn't trust the bed. I get some rest and then I am awakened at 0500am. because there is a mouse running around the room, and that was the last straw, I gathered my belongings and I checked out as quickly as I could. I wouldn't want my worst enemy to stay at that hotel it was beyond awful and I am pretty open-minded and tolerant, but there is no excuse for that hotel to be managed so poorly. I feel sorry for people that have to choose that hotel because of budget constraints. It is a disgrace. If you don't mind nonexistent service and are not offended by Texas size cockroaches and mice in your room, then I guess you will be fine at the budget inn on shoreline drive in Corpus Christi, TX.

Hotel is not much to look at on the outside, older building, older rooms, but the bed was super comfy! AC worked great and kept the room nice and cool for the 105 degree days outside. When we first arrived for check-in we expected our standard room we booked in advance, but the clerk at the desk offered us an upgraded for pocket change more that overlooked the ocean. Super great deal and will visit again. Note: bring your own breakfast foods, not much of a breakfast available downstairs and really no place to eat it if you did; very small lobby!

Users who are annoyed at not being able to easily find a place or at having to listen carefully and speak slowly to the front desk staff may want to consider other options. The place is easy to miss (it's right before the hospital). The family that runs the motel is friendly and welcoming, but the gentleman who checked me in is still improving his English. I asked for a non-smoking room. The carpet had cigarette burns all over it (by all over it, I mean in no less than 2 dozen separate places) and the place smelled faintly of smoke, but sure enough, it was marked as non-smoking. The sheets were dusty, yet somehow the bed had fleas on it (sand fleas from the beach across the street). There was HALF A ROLL of extremely cheap toilet paper in the room. THAT'S IT. No soap, no shampoo, no kleenex/tissue. Bring your own. The towels smelled of bleach, thank god, but after using them so did I. The best part? About 90 seconds after I turned the light out for the night, something that sounded bigger than a cockroach but smaller than a cat made a mad, skittering dash across the floor, crashed into a wall in the "kitchen," and disappeared. On top of fleas, the place had mice or rats.
