Budget Inn By OYO Corpus Christi Beach

This stay was on the earlier part of a much longer trip, so it's taken me a while to write this review. This is an older beach motel. It's not fancy but it is near the beach and some great dining options that are right down the road. It had everything we needed and there was nothing at all that we missed. The beds were comfortable, sheets were clean and soft and the towels were extra clean. The best part of this stay was the owners of this little hotel. They were kind and considerate and they make the place comfortable and safe feeling. I slept like a very tired baby. It was an affordable option for our one night stay but it truly turned out to be a little gem. The parking was a little tricky, but we figured it out with the owners help and that was that. We would stay here again without hesitation, and most likely will when we're back again for a visit.

A lot of things I didn’t like in my experience but over all the fact that they’re not organized wasted my time and made me have to make quick accommodations for my trip and family that did cost me more money and some stress. I know for next time!

My room was not held even though I booked online and paid ahead of time. There was also a day I had to wait two hours for someone to show up to activate my room key again even though I kept calling. huge inconvenience I had just gotten out of work.

Good place to stay close to the beach and cheap

There was absolutely no one on site to even check in. Waited for almost an hour and nothing. Sign said call this number I’m 5 minutes away but when I called, that phone rang just on the other side of the glass so no help there. Had to go get a different hotel. Total pain.

Office was closed and my reservation as cancelled. I never stayed there I'm waiting on a refund!! Everything

I stay was very relaxing and enjoyable. It was everything we wanted it to be and we will definitely use this motel again the next time we’re in Corpus Christi. I can’t think of a thing I didn’t like

To much noise in the next door I can't sleep

I booked the hotel and get there and they had a note on the door. We are around the corner. Please call this number. I called the number and they never answered. I was stranded at night outside a locked hotel. This place needs to be condemned!

The vote of the beach

The room was clean, the bed was very comfortable, and it was quiet. I unfortunately had a delay in my travels and arrived very late and had to wake the owners up to check in. They were very kind even though I disrupted their sleep and got me checked in quickly.

i liked the low cost and no cheap amenities. I knew what I was getting and the price was good only 1 light worked in the bathroom, no USB ports for electronics, shower head was not very good. It was just little things but the value was good for the price

No breakfast, no coffee. am 77 years old...had to go 3 flights of stairs to get to the room. Tepid water, bug in restroom. Noisy kids running up and down stairs. Parking lanes and area difficult to maneuver with my mid size truck.

NO BREAKFAST NO COFFEE NOT IN ROOM OR LOBBY WE HAD A SMALL KITCHEN NO GLASSES NO PLATES NO NOTHING.LOBBY WAS LOCKED AT ALL TIMES WENT TO WINDOW NOT SOMEONE TO ANSWER BELL IN 6X6 TINY WINDOW AT TIMES NEEDED TO COME BACK AND FORTH NOT EVEN PHONE.

It's worth the money I paid for the place. Upgrading is definitely needed. But I get what I paid for a clean room and proximity to the beach.

This was an amazing hotel and the lady that works there was so nice!

Everything. No problem. I do needed an elevator service because of my poor legs.

The stay was great. The room was clean and comfortable. The woman who checked us in and out was friendly and helpful. I liked it so much I had my daughter cancel her reservations at another hotel and stay there.

Check-in was easy, the staff were friendly and knowledgeable, the room was clean and smelled nice. The bed was firm but comfortable and clean. The shower water was hot, the ac was cold, the fridge worked, and the room was easy to access from either staircase. Excellent experience. It was right at the beautiful shoreline. I would recommend staying here if you're looking for a great place to stay on the beach, close to everything.

The room we choose was not what we got. We specifically got a kitchenette but had to be moved due to no working stove and broken exterior door handle. BUT the lady on staff was wonderful and did everything she could. Her service alone was worth it.

It was a goodstay. i thought there was going to be a microwave in the room but the front desk allowed me to use theirs.

We had a great stay there. Everyone was friendly and we had an awesome ocean view. Will definitely go back.

The lady in the office was very sweet and helpful. The room was comfortable and the perfect size for us. The beach is a block away. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel manager was amazing.

Inexpensive yet cozy. Wonderful receptionist. No bells and whistles, but we weren’t looking for that. They did have a mini fridge , though. I’d book again if I wanted a cheap, no frills stay by the water.

The manager working at desk was very kind, very helpful. Location was perfect, close to ocean, other restaurants and the close to the airport. Don't expect a nice lobby or complementary coffee or a Keurig for coffee in your room. AC filters, very dirty. Did clean them and implied if we thought the room we had was bad, we should see the one next door. I understand they are in process of getting rooms renovated, I would suggest seeing a room first. I thought the price was pretty high for what the room was worth.

It needs a good deep cleaning and some repairs. My shower sprayed everywhere except where it was supposed to. When I went outside to look at the stars I smelled pot. I

Great view of the beach and short walking distance to beach. Exterior of building needs a little facelift and parking needs a little improvement, but wouldn't keep me from staying there again. Lady at front desk super nice and owner super nice as well.

The stay was ok if you just want to sleep.my family drove all night and there was no hot water and after driving all night and fishing, I really wanted to take a hot shower and relax. The hot water was working in the sink, so we used the ice bucket to fill it with water from the sink to bathe. We didn't eat or see anything in the office when we checked out and I didn't get any kind of compensation for no hot water. The lady in the office just said thank you for letting us know. I probably won't be staying here again.

Debra (the manager/housekeeping) was awesome to work with. This is old outdated property that was acquired by Oyo and they have started renovating the property. There isn’t a bath tub stop. The shower had good pressure and a good temperature. The bed was comfortable and takes up most of the room. The facility is located close to the beach and was in walking distance to the Texas State Aquarium and USS Lexington Museum. The Blackbeard Restaurant was good and we enjoyed it. Parking is going to be pretty tight if full. This worked ok for us and we would stay there again in in the area. It’s a basic room and works if that is what you are looking for. No pool and no breakfast. The heat and air conditioner both worked well. It is in a quiet area.

I only needed the room for a few hours to attend a concert but it was very convenient and clean.

Didnt stay they changed price on us

Arrived and the room obviously was hot. It took about three hours to cool down the remote turn not working. The pictures. They advertise are fake. Ugly smell to the rooms after the room finally got cold when we got back. The toilet was still running water so they moved us to another room very hot, same smell everything. The showers do not have cold water

Property manager are the nicest people. This is my second stay and I would stay again.
