Upon arriving the hotel had a room problem but had moved us to another room before we even arrived. Since they were being proactive things went smoothly! Breakfast was great. The a/c in our room was great!
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

Pleasant stay

the door to the outside not the main door did not lock overnight or at least it was not locked at 5 am when I was leaving my room was next to this door and it was very difficult getting into the gym. otherwise everything else was good.
- 5/5
Did not eat there so cannot comment.
- 3/5
Keys did not work on our room so we were moved to another room and keys didn’t work either.

We arrived late around 11 pm and was informed we didn’t have a reservation. This happened despite me calling a few hours earlier to inform them we’d arrive late. Once they found our reservation, we were informed that our room was mistakenly given to a different guest earlier that evening. Sure enough, they had let someone with a different name sign in under my name and credit card. After nearly 30 minutes of back and forth and waking up the other guest, they finally put us in the room the other guest should have been in. Thinking it was handled, we went to sleep only to be woken early by cleaning staff who thought we had already checked out. Nope—that was the other person, which means the mistake was never fixed. To top it off, the room had a roach in the bathroom. Won’t be returning.

The pool is a bit too cold.
- 4/5
Clean and very pleasant and helpful staff

The breakfast could have been better. The bananas were past their prime and there was no dairy milk (just almond milk). The light/fan over the bed was unusable. Using the key card to unlock the door was challenging. However, the room was very and spacious (we stayed in a suite) and the receptionist was very helpful.
- 5/5
Super friendly staff, easy check in with clean rooms.

PROS: The breakfast was ok and the area was clean. I would not recommend this hotel.
- 3.5/5
Location was great, staff was helpful. Door locks are terrible, need to be replaced. We had a giant spider web in the room and the other tenants felt the right to leave all of their cigarette butts all over the entrance area. The beds were comfy bathroom and room clean.
- 3/5
We had a clean room and my kids enjoyed swimming in the pool, but the fan didn’t work in the room and the pull out. Sofa didn’t have any bedding we had to go find some.

I was provided an exterior room where my door was not interior to the facility. My door hardware was loose and only worked by lifting up on the handle making it virtually impossible to open the door without vigorously lifting the handle resulting in painfully scraping my knuckles on the door handle assembly breaking the skin in the process. The bathroom did not have a functional exhaust fan which is unacceptable due to possible mold growth that could occur due to build up of moisture lying on surfaces for extended periods of time. I will not accept this accommodation in the future and most likely will not patronize this location.

We got there late from traveling. The staff just wanted to tell my husband about a book she is writing. She gave us 3 different rooms with people in the rooms! At 2:30am. We felt bad waking people up and startling them. The room we ended up with was so dirty my husband went to the front desk, they gave us Clorox wipes! It was 3:00 am at this time we were exhausted. we slept in our clothes. Did not shower. We got up and left. I will say they apologized and did not charge us for staying five hours. Will never go back there again.
- 3.5/5
Didn’t get queen bed as requested. Door handle was broken. Had issue with getting into room. Do not like pet friendly rooms.
- 4/5
It was good friendly staff clean. Suite was a good size. Glad there was ceiling fans wished all hotels had them.
- 5/5
The hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was friendly. Located closed to WTAMU!
- 3/5
Breakfast was excellent. Room was mediocre - needed deeper cleaning. There was old food in the fridge. Staff very helpful and attentive.
- 3.5/5
It wasn't the room we reserved and the bathroom wasnt very clean. Looked like they didn't sweep or vacuum before they mopped...if they mopped it.
- 5/5
everything was excellent. The breakfast hours could run a later. (late shows the night before)

Nothing

My biggest issue came when the pool reopened and we found one of the doors was unlocked. HUGE SAFETY ISSUE for anyone with children. I tried to connect with the owner but was never able to. There are plenty of other hotels nearby so I would definitely stay at one of them before ever staying here again.
- 3/5
Room was well-appointed and clean, the bed was comfortable. Have no complaints as such about the actual stay. However, can’t say the same for the breakfast, a rather poorly managed affair. Every day we were there they were running out of things, even the basics, well before end of breakfast hours. For example on day one they were on their last milk carafe and we were told there would be no more milk available after that, with one hour of breakfast hours still to go! Next day they were all out of scrambled eggs, bagels, muffins, bread and yogurt, and the syrup dispenser for the waffles was empty - just ONE hour into the breakfast hours and we were told what you see put out is all there is left, no more items will be put out or replenished! The next day they had no bagels out for almost an hour into the breakfast. For how much $$ the room cost in such a small town like Canyon, they could at least have ensured the breakfast was a satisfactory experience!
- 5/5
We were in town for WT graduation. The hotel was full. Even with a full house, they were still wonderful. They were patient and helpful with everything we needed. They kept the breakfast stocked so that even towards the end, there was plenty to eat. Rooms were clean and comfortable.
- 5/5
The room was clean and the staff was personable. Breakfast was great. Very comfortable beds and the room size was perfect.
- 5/5
Breakfast was more than perfect. If one wanted anything else I can’t imagine what it would have been Nothing

Great location, easy out to the park
- 3/5
This was just a quick road trip stop. Clean enough, staff was friendly
- 3/5
It was quiet and clean and comfortable.
- 3/5
My room smelt like cigarettes. I'm not sure if I made a mistake booking or what but the room reeked and the carpet was stained probably from someone's pets. I would not stay again.
- 4/5
Very friendly staff
- 5/5
The staff was awesome! Friendly and attentive. Provided cold bottles of water for us when we came in from the heat. The maintenance man took time to visit with us while fixing the handrail. The breakfast attendant kept everything filled and clean. Cleaning staff refreshed the room perfectly.
- 5/5
A great motel to start our 3 week trip in! Friendly staff visited with us and told about Palo Duro canyon….which we drove out to see. Good bed, bery clran and quiet. We would choose again.
- 5/5
The parking got a little cramp at night
- 3.5/5
Put us on the 3rd floor and had requested a lower level. Pretty noisey alot of young ladies basketball tournament.

Good hotel clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
Good hotel for a one night stay. Clean and comfy.
- 3/5
The staff was amazing but the property looks unkept. The grout on the tile was dirty and the walls need paint. Lots of dust on air vents and returns. It was obvious the owner has neglected upkeep on the property. For what we paid, we will not stay there again.
- 5/5
Been here several times, just love Canyon!
- 4.5/5
The TV wasn't a smart tv.
- 5/5
Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Close to the canyon and restaurants. Great property to bring your dog. Nothing
- 5/5
The lady that checked us in was wonderful. She provided restaurant suggestions and she went out of her way to make us feel welcome.
- 5/5
Room was clean, pool was nice. Breakfast was good!
- 5/5
Nothing at all everything was perfect ??
- 4/5
The room was clean and the linens nice. We had a queen bed suite. The room was very large and comfortable. Perfect for a several day stay. There was a light in the portico that was blinking badly. It gave me a headache while we were unloading.
- 5/5
Good room, great staff, and we really enjoyed our stay.
- 4.5/5
Older property but clean and very nice.
- 1/5
We couldn’t get the door lock to work because the doorknob was loose and wiggling. They reset it three times, then we had to move rooms. Another lady in the hallway said hers was the same thing, she just figured out how to wiggle it to get it to work.
- 2.5/5
They have a “suite “ they put us in which is a small room separate from the hotel . It’s not a suite it’s an old storage building that’s renovated into a room . It was clean but strange to have use the side gate to get to your room. Hampton inn or holiday inn were much nicer .
- 3.5/5
Laundry facilities out of order. Consistent problem with key, key worked one or two times then we had to get new keys
- 3/5
Although the room was technically clean, it left a lot to be desired. When we checked in, the desk staff member said how we got the best, quietest room in the whole hotel. It was not in the main hotel building, it was outside and looked like a remodeled pool shack. First, it took us a few minutes to get in the room because we couldn't get the handle to work (the desk staff member warned us to "lift" the handle because there's something wrong with it). So much for being quiet, there were 3 adults sitting right outside our window in the parking lot with a cooler being very loud sheet 10pm. And then the bed. You could actually see that the foot of the mattress was at least 4-6 inches higher than the head. We flipped the mattress around and it was still a little higher (how?!). And then the springs and box/platform made horrible loud popping noise every time we moved a hair! As you can imagine, we got absolutely NO sleep. To top it off, BW wouldn't let me add my account number for points because I booked through Expedia. I've never had any other hotel chain say I can't. So long BW, there are too many hotel chains that are better quality for the same or lower price.
- 5/5
Very clean facility Nothing
- 5/5
The stay was fine overall. The breakfast was plentiful and had a good selection of items. The coffee was fantastic! Would stay again…. Very convenient to Palo Duro Canyon. The town of Canyon has good restaurants and is charming. This property is older and could do with some maintenance upgrades.
- 3/5
Staff was very nice and helpful. The parking did get a little congested in the back but that is because it was a smaller area.
- 5/5
Room was clean and nice. Hotel staff was very nice and helpful, always greeted us when we stepped into the lobby. Breakfast could use some work as the sausage tasted under cooked. Bed was comfortable. Would stay again for a short trip.
- 5/5
Breakfast selection could be better.

- 4/5
Parking lot small
- 4/5
Very convient, easy in and out
- 5/5
Clean room. Nice shower.
- 4/5
Clean room, quiet. Not much for restaurants actually in Canyon on Sunday nite OR Monday morning. Missed hotel breakfast since they shut down early on weekdays. Close to Palo Duro though.
- 5/5
This was one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in! So clean, super comfy beds and really good breakfast!
- 3/5
The pull out couch bedding was not ready when we arrived. We had to call down to reception then told to go get it ourselves from reception. Stain on pull out mattress. Apple juice not working properly at breakfast. Not horrible, just not a positive experience especially when booking a franchise like bed western in my opinion.
- 5/5
Room was clean and comfortable.
- 4/5
The room was okay. There was hair in the sink and the tub. Otherwise, it was a great stay. The breakfast was good too.
- 5/5
We only stayed for a night ahead of our day trip into Palo Duro Canyon. It was a comfortable stay. The room was clean, the staff was friendly and breakfast had a lot of options. It's a great place to stay.
- 4/5
Clean room and friendly staff.
- 4/5
About what you’d expect at this price point: clean and comfortable but drab. Worth it if you watch your pennies. Good place to stay if you’re visiting Palo Duro Canyon and aren’t into camping.
- 3/5
Yeah
- 4/5
Front desk people were nice and helpful. The problem I had there was that the electronic keys were not working properly. I had to go the front desk multiple times (the card would work one time) to get my key card reset. It apparently has been an ongoing problem there.
- 3/5
Friendly staff that helped with special project we gathered during our visit.
- 4/5
Good breakfast although a bit cramped on a busy morning. Our TV was from 1999. Basically why you might get from an over air antenna.
- 4/5
Overall, it was great and a great stay for a great price! The shower had someone else’s hair in it, but I can deal with that. I had trouble with the keys multiple times and had to get them reset, and there was no icemaker on my floor, but other than that, it was perfectly clean and comfortable and for the price and area it was fine overall!
- 5/5
Well run BW for a small town. Very clean. Music in the lobby. Dinosaur decorations and information gave it a resort feel. Excellent value for the price.
- 5/5
Wonderful staff, very nice and very helpful, thank you!
- 4/5
pool water was cold
- 4/5
Room was clean, but 1 problem is being a room at the end of the hall foot traffic in and out of the door during the night and I'm guessing the door seal was completely sealed (door locks work great) door seal was the problem, hallway light was bright. Door seal needs to be addressed.
- 4/5
The room was clean, shower worked well with plenty of hot water. Bed was very very hard. The staff was awesome.
- 4/5
Staff was nice, room was very clean

The staff is amazing at this establishment. They were friendly, helpful and all around great to deal with. The room was very clean and comfortable. I would definitely stay here again.

All good except the bathroom was worn and tired.
- 5/5
Yes nice room and good breakfast
- 3/5
The room was very obviously dated and unfortunately not overly clean.
- 5/5
Breakfast was the best I’ve had in a while! Lots of variety and healthy!

Friendly staff, clean room, great breakfast buffet
- 4/5
Good service, excellent breakfast.
- 5/5
One of the best hotels we have stayed in. Room was very spacious and clean and the breakfast was plentiful.
- 5/5
Great stay
- 5/5
Largest room I've ever had in this price range. It included a sitting area with chair, couch, and ceiling fans.
- 4/5
Our stay at Best Western Palo Duro Canyon was pretty good. The rooms were nice enough and breakfast was great! The staff was very friendly. The one issue we had with our stay was cleanliness. The bedding was clean, but the carpet needed vacuuming (we found popcorn kernals on the floor by the bed). The bathroom floor also needed cleaning, especially around the edges, in the corners and around the toilet. It had obviously not been cleaned, because there were urine spots on the base of the toilet. One other issue was that our TV didn't work (Room 223). We had traveled with our grown son, and the TV worked in his room, so we watched a movie there. But, some attention was needed in our room.

Yes and YES
- 5/5
We stay at this hotel often - probably every three to four weeks. Our daughter attends WTAMU, and we live in Kansas; we come to Canyon to attend her various events. We've been staying at Best Western Palo Duro for two years now and we've never had a complaint. The staff has been very accommodating and the rooms are always clean. The staff are very courteous and the breakfast is always well-stocked and fresh. I recommend this hotel 100%!
- 5/5
Not a bad place to stay for a couple nights. I would recommend a room on the top floor though. First floor had a lot of traffic. Hot breakfast was good. Nice museum down the street and a dollar general within walking distance.
- 4/5
It was a handicapped room. My last 2 stsys have been in a handicapped room. I did mot request nor need nor want one. Stop giving handicapped rooms if not requested.
- 5/5
The was really spacious for my family size! It was also very clean and comfortable! Nice breakfast options, would stay here again!
- 2/5
After checking in the fire alarm went off. Told we would have to leave. When returning all the front doors were open and it was 22 degrees. Got to the room and cranked up the heat but could feel the cold air blowing in the door. Had to put all the towels at the bottom to cure this.
- 1/5
There was a booking error and we were never there. Working on trying to get a refund due to the error.
- 5/5
Room was large and clean
- 5/5
Our room was clean, could use a little refresh. Every time I stay, I wish they would pull the carpet out of the rooms and install LVP.
- 5/5
Best place to stay for sure!
