Hawthorn Extended Stay by Wyndham Bedford / Dallas

The room was not clean. Water was flowing from the fridge. There were spots on floor sticky ones. Bedding was not proper as it had blanket coming out of the bedsheet. The chair had stains. The bathroom had stains. The service was terrible. There was no one at the reception whenever I went there. No one picked up the call for reception.

The front desk clerk was a great person and also the other workers there

The only thing clean in the room was the bed, them cleaning could be so much better, the towels were all marked with some kind of stain, I had to go buy towels. The staff were never at the front desk, we would always have to get with house keeping to contact front desk.

The room had a strong smell of bleach when I entered it; there also was a dead baby cockroach on the floor. During my two-night stay, I killed another 3 baby cockroaches. I was careful not to leave anything on the floor. The room itself was clean and comfortable. When I checked out, no one was at the front desk to whom I could make this observation. Since I had an Uber ready to pick me up, I couldn't stay to share the cockroach issue. I am certain the cockroach problem was throughout the building.

Room was okay until we found some bugs believed to be baby cockroaches. Bring your own blanket… you’d think a hotel would have blankets for their guests, but no. Breakfast isn’t that impressive, it’s the typical hotel breakfast with bread, coffee, cereal, waffles and juice. Does require a $100 cash or $50 credit deposit; will not check in anyone under 21 so be advised if you’re a younger traveler. Hall and room had some funky smells, at first the room will smell like bleach which is good since that means they’re getting cleaned. TLDR: don’t expect much from this hotel and bring your own blanket unless you’re fine with just a sheet.

However the elevator and 2nd floor hallway smelled terrible throughout our 3 night stay. Room had no bath towels or iron (we had to request both) & kitchen had no utensils, plates, cookware, paper towels, etc. Floors and walls were dirty and we heard a dog bark a couple of nights (hotel allows pets, which could explain the smells in hallway & elevator). Breakfast options were very limited but the make-your-own waffles were good, Overall, I will be staying elsewhere next time.

Walked in to check in there was no one at counter there was a person already waiting. Finally someone came in waited probably a good 15-20 min to check in.

The room was poorly cleaned and riddled with roaches. At one point, I found them inside my stored food. The floor of the room was awkwardly sticky, and the room smelled of heavy bleach. The bathroom was not clean and was not to my liking. The staff was nice, but the service was poor. The breakfast was subpar, only having waffles and butter and a small bowl of fruit. I wouldn’t call that breakfast, but that’s what it was, I guess. The kitchen and dining area in the room was not cleaned and poorly maintained. It was quite disgusting, but we stayed because that was the only available option at the time. I will not, and I mean not, be returning to this establishment in my future. And I don’t think this hotel deserves the rating it has because it was, and I repeat, roach-infested, and that’s not including the terrible room care. Unfortunately, the dresser drawers still had someone else’s clothes in them. If that’s not unclean, I don’t know what is.

Tried to check in rooms weren't ready until after 8 pm with one taking until after 9 pm. They sure charged my card before we even arrived with no heads up about any delayed check in. Rooms were ok still lacked cleanliness. Trash stacked up at every trash can around property and nothing but broken pool furniture at pool. Don't stay here you will regret it.

The room was the dirtiest room I’ve ever checked into. This hotel should be closed down. The staff was no help either they were rude and if no help at all. The health department will be called on this location. I would like a full refund. If you need photos I have those too

Our rooms weren't ready by the check-in time of 3PM. The manage asked us to leave and come back at 5 PM and assured us the rooms would be ready by then. They were not. Only one room was ready an we had to wait in that room an additional hour for the final room to be readied. I could hear the maid on the phone complaining to her friend she had to clean the room for us and she shouldn't be doing that this late in the day - pretty horrible if you ask me. I would not go back - EVER!

The rooms were clean and large. Although the hotel said it would provide breakfast, the breakfast it provide was worthless. We had bread, but no butter or jam. We had waffle, but no syrup. The juice machine only worked some times. Although the room had kitchen, but it had no dishes, pots or microwave. Very disappointing.

The biggest issue was the roaches. On Friday (7/17), I saw two roaches run across the floor in my room, and I also noticed roaches around the breakfast counter, which was very concerning. I had also seen someone spraying for bugs at the hotel on Thursday (7/16), so it appears they are aware of a pest problem. The cleanliness throughout the hotel was disappointing. The sheets and towels were stained and looked dirty, and instead of receiving fresh towels through housekeeping, guests have to bring their used towels to the front desk to exchange them. The second-floor hallway had a strong odor that smelled like a combination of burning plastic and vomit, making it unpleasant every time we walked to our room. When I reported the roaches to the front desk, the employee showed little concern and said he could not help because I had booked through Expedia. Thankfully, Expedia contacted the hotel directly and was able to get the remaining two nights of my stay refunded, but the hotel’s lack of concern about the pest issue was disappointing. I understand that hotels can occasionally have maintenance issues, but cleanliness, pest control, and customer service should be priorities. Based on my experience, I would not stay here again.

When I arrived they did not have the room I reserved weeks prior. They gave me a room with one queen bed and and pull out couch. The room smelled like wet dog and the floor felt like it had sand on it. There was not sheet, blankets, or pillows for the couch and they were not able to provide any pillows as they were "out" Breakfast at 0830 only had 2 apples and waffle mix left. They would not replenish it even though still had an hour before it closed. Will never stay there again.

For the money this place is an awesome deal. The king bed room was very large. The kitchen was perfect....they have HBO....the bathroom was brand new.....glass shower was amazing....the only concern was it is extended stay so some of the people on the month to month plan were different.

Me and my girlfriend had a really bad experience with our room, out of 4 of our towels only one of them was clean the others had brown stains and also had PUBIC HAIR! And our bed was not clean we had pulled the sheets, and same as the towels brown spots, crumbs and hair, then when we asked for help the cleaning lady was rude and she was whispering something under her breath. I don’t leave reviews at all but this was so bad I had to say something about it.

I wouldnt even give a star if possible. We originally reserved a 2 Queen Room and when we arrived they claimed something was coded incorrectly and gave me a 1 King bed room. The original reservation was for a family of 5 but 2 backed out and Im pretty sure since they saw it was just my husband and i with our toddler we got downgraded our room. Parents know yes a king is a big bed and normally fits 2 and a toddler but when your toddler sleeps Horizontal and you two are vertical its no where near comfortable. After a 8.5 hr drive this was very incovenient. Still no call from the manager about a reimbursement of cost for the difference even if 10$ its principal. Aside from that the rooms were filthy. The RR walls were so dirty, the SMOKE ALARM was covered with PLASTIC! Pretty sure thats a violation of some sort. The chairs were literally clawed at probably from someones cat, not even small scratches the animal went hard on the chair. No matter how much carpet spray or air freshner you put you cant cover up dog smell. There was DRIED DOG POOP right next to the elevator door. The breakfast was literally waffles and toast. The guy up front is NOT attentive. The couple before me were waiting over 10 minutes and ringing the phone constantly just to get someone to come to the front. Price isnt bad but I guess you get what you pay for. Never again.

Floors in the room were very dirty. Hallways stunk. No trash can in rooms. No ice maker. Customer service was terrible. Keys cut off at 9 am on day of checkout when checkout time is 11. Had to go get keys reactivated to finish loading. Floor was also about to fall in by kitchen sink. Only given one towel for 3 people. Attached the photo of towel after wiping up water off the floor.

Don't stay here. We made the mistake of booking a non refundable long term stay. The staff is less than cooperative. Walls are thin. property is noisy... The cleaning staff did their best to try to help... but don't stay here.

The entrance, elevators, corridors smelled like food and you could also smell it to an extent in the room. There were dogs in the place that bothered you because the owners did not keep them on a tight leash. There was always shortage of coffee, milk, etc during breakfast. Was of all was the staff especially one called Patel who had the worse costumer service ever. He traded insults with guest and even called the cop on a guest lying when the guest asked for a receipt so he is not changed for something or service not rendered.

I had asked for a roll in shower and handicap room in my reservation. When I went to check in I was told the only accessible room they had was a tub. I showed her my confirmation that said roll in shower. She said there was nothing the could do. This was the only room left. Plus it was on the third floor. If the elevator doesn’t work I can’t get out of the building. I couldn’t get another room so I stayed there. The room itself was large and nice but wasn’t very clean. I had to clean the toilet as it had feces on the handle. The water pressure in the shower was a trickle. I stumbled getting out of bathtub and hurt my leg and back. I used all the towels the give you(2). I had to go to bed because of pain. Killed 2 bugs before I got in bed. Went to close the blinds and u can’t as the air conditioner blows them and u don’t get any air. So light was coming in all night. Went downstairs next morning for the breakfast they have and asked for more towels. I was told I had to bring my dirty towels down to him before he would give me fresh ones. Ridiculous! Breakfast was a joke. Bagels were so stale it broke the knife, never replaced anything. Ran out of milk. It was a horrible experience. I tried to check out early but they wouldn’t give me a refund. Also, I have NEVER heard of a hotel without an ice machine. They didn’t have one! Don’t waste your time or money, the front staff don’t care. Not customer friendly at all. I heard them argue with everyone that asked for something.

Stayed with a family of 6, not suitable no rollaway beds and suite does not sleep six, the sheets were poorly cleaned and they did not have barley any towels available to accommodate, no hand soap or dishes in the room, the pool was great but the chairs were all broken except one, for a large family I would not recommend, breakfast very simple and basic.

Good location had some issues at first but stuff was quick to fix everything I would love to stay again So many people there didn’t even get breakfast they had so many people by time you got down there nothing was left

staff was great, i gabe it 4 only because it took all day to get my cleans sheets. kitchen again only 4, theres not much offered as far as cook ware, it is not equipped. but over all it was a pleasant stay

Items in breakfast were very minimal with the waffle. Milk, cereals were not good quality. Butter wasn’t available with bread. No other options in breakfast except above. Cream wasn’t available with coffee.

Breakfast sucked, I have stayed at a Hawthorn in OKC, and it was the best! so my expectations was the same. I had talked about the Hawthorn hotel so much and said it was good, and recommended it to my family. I was so embarrassed, and disappointed. it was not what it said online at all, dallas location was not it for us.

Everything from restaurants, to retail stores to coffee shops etc are in close proximity. The front desk agents are so nice.

Breakfast, room cleanliness overall cleanliness was below average.

If you're looking for a good breakfast, you have a waffle machine, Coffee, bread toaster and jelly. They dont put syrup in the machine, meaning it is very low. No healthy items like fruit, oatmeal, yogurt. Most of the people just go out to eat I love that I had a choice to cook my own meal bc of the kitchen in the rooms. I also didnt like that they never wiped off the item people touched. I saw the same waffle dough on the push knob where the syrup comes out of the whole time I was there.

This hotel is horrible would not recommend to anyone! Hotel smelled bad hall ways smelled like a mix of weed and wet dog we had no iron no utensils nothing to cook with and I wouldn’t want to cook anyways but it’s what said came with the room and fully stock kitchen for your everyday needs absolutely nothing in the kitchen and to top it off found 2 roaches 1 in the bathroom and 1 in kitchen,,bedding was worst from hair on the sheets to stains on pillows and curtain in room had some kind of blood stain on it! Phone in room didn’t work went down to ask for iron and was told they didn’t have any available at the time asked for some towels and Rahji told us come back In 1hr then told them phone doesn’t work in room and nothing in kitchen and was told we will see what we can get in a hour if you come to get towels please save your $$$$ and spend the extra $$$$ to stay at Home2suites next door just don’t stay here

This was the worst hotel experience and the reviews on here are all lies. This is a hotel that is being used like an apartment. It also smells terrible.

Nothing because I was told after booking the room on booking .Com and receiving a confirmation they told us that they over booked which was not correct the person behind the desk said that they had no more rooms and then the man behind the desk started to ask me about if this woman was with me and I told him that she is with me but has her own place somewhere else and why you ask it has nothing to do with renting a room from yall mean while a was booking the room he was. Checking someone else in he was able to get a room but we were there first if you really get right down to it which I thought to myself that should of been are room. Rejected

The shower is amazing. Lots of water pressure and huge shower head. My room is always clean. The remote control for the tv only allows up not down and the breakfast has no eggs, sausage. Only carbohydrates, which is why I’m staying elsewhere tonight. I’m on keto. I can’t eat waffles and cereal. However, the coffee is great.

After waiting until after 4pm for a room, the first room had no phone, no coffee pot, no cookware (pot, skillet, cup, plate, nor silverware) the fire alarm needed batteries, the bed sheets, floors , and shower were dirty. The 2nd room, no cookware, NO AC

Property was nice and clean

Clean good size rooms, basic good breakfast, nice staff… Property a little worn out but you pay for what you get. Nothing negative slept well.

Nice kitchen and the front desk supplied utensils and plates. We booked a room for 6, and the room only had 2 queen beds, no pull-out. This room was accommodating for 4 and not 6 and the property should not book groups larger than 4 for these rooms. The breakfast had rotten milk and expired yogurt. The front desk had no band-aids. Pool closed.

The lady at the front desk was very nice and friendly when Checked in and out.

The first thing I noticed was how dirty the elevator is. I didn’t have a trash can in my room. There was hair in the shower and the towels were stained.

It was close to the Highway. The room was not clean, there was food caked onto the inside of the kitchen drawers, the microwave had visible rust on the doorframe that could get into food, every wall had chunks of paint taken out of them, the shower floor was black from dirt residue. Staff was unprofessional when the unhygienic status of the room was brought to their attention.

A room for cooking with no pots not even a kettle to boil water for tea and a microwave that didn’t work to warm up food or even a toaster to toast bread

Breakfast was terrible and I told the staff in the morning that someone threw up in the elevator and it took them hours before cleaning the mess, I checked out 3 hours later and nothing was done not to mention the bathroom which had yellow stains that looked like they hadn't been cleaned in days. Left the hotel without taking a shower.

My stay was a disappointment because of the overwhelming smell of marijuana and uncleanliness of each room . The smell was so overwhelming, it greeted me as I exited the elevator, stairwell and my sleep was interrupted by the overheating smell. Upon informing the front desk of the situation, I was given a different room. The first room had not been swept or mopped. The second room shower wasn’t clean and the kitchen shelves were dirty. I have pictures and a video. Before I could relax, I had to make a run to the store to pick up disinfectant wipes and spray to sanitize the room. Truly disappointing.

I got a room with a full kitchen. There was nothing in the room for cooking, prep, cups, plates or utensils. Don’t stay at this location if you plan on using the kitchen.

We were exhausted, so we decided to just make do - 2 people would sleep on the floor. The front desk gave us "all the extra bedding available," which amounted to 2 sheets, 1 thin blanket, and one pillow. My husband and teenage daughter did the best they could with what we had available. In the end, even those that got to stay in a bed didn't get any sleep. The walls are so thin we could hear the music in the lobby (ALL night) and the conversations of the people in the room next door. The beds only had 2 top sheets, rather than a sheet and a blanket, and the sheets were so rough that they made noise every time someone moved. TLDR: Don't stay here. Even if you get a bed, you won't sleep.

The room appeared clean, but on each day of our stay, there were cockroaches visible--multiple on some days. The breakfast was sparse and there was no coffee on two days.

When I got there , I was told they didn’t have a room for me. I have booked this trip four months in advance. Also, I have called two days prior because it was a delay. Then I called in a process of the day of flying that it was a delay and Will I still be able to check in they told me yes so the room that they put me in look like it was something I guess people just worked there my sleep in. I don’t know then I was removed from that room within a couple hours to another room after the housekeepers came in and cleaned up the room. It just was a lot without no communication from the hotel. If you’re looking for something to probably stay or crash a night or two depending on which you trying to pay, it can be OK. A nice deep clean and a little update. Will probably be nice as well.

The room was plain jane but adequate. The window was left partially open so was very noisy adversely affecting my sleep! There wasn't enough blankets. Everything was in bare minimum quantities. I will not go back there again!

The property was clean and modern. The room was well arranged. In a room with 2 queen beds we only had 2 pillows and 2 towels. We had to go ask for additional ones. I like the space in the room. Possibly a plumping problem. All the showers on the second floor did not work when they switched me rooms the shower was dirty and the water pressure was terrible on the first floor.
