Otis is great as far as experience goes. Rooftop pool is awesome. What sucks is your told you're paying a certain price to stay there when you book, but once you're at the front desk you get hammered for 200 to 300 more dollars in other fees. I'll go again for the rooftop pool.

Very nice hotel. Didn’t love the open shower concept or the parking situation.

Front desk was understaffed for large volume of customers.

Bed was ok Paid for city view got campus view, unfriendly staff, had no bell boy for luggage. Mislead.

Comfortable, beautiful, and luxe. Great location, and loved hanging out at the rooftop bar in the evenings! The food was solid and the staff was always friendly. Also the shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hand soap all smelled great and worked really well. It makes a huge difference when the little amenities are top notch! Would stay here again, happily!

We loved the turntables in the rooms and the collection of records to borrow, made for a very unique experience. The pool bar was a great place to relax and soak in some sun. The food was terrific everywhere, from the Acreage 41, to the burger joint attached outside. The location was not the best, not much within walking distance besides the Capital.

We checked into this hotel around 6 am because we had a terrible experience at our prior one. The staff were great and accommodating, the hotel was beautiful, our room was nice and spacious, and the valet was very efficient. No complaints! The hotel is also located walking distance from the UT campus which is very convenient for those who want to explore!

Love the rooftop area and the room was clean and the air conditioning worked perfectly fine. Loved the nice big shower. It was pretty cool we were able to check out records to play in our room! It made the night and morning fun!

We enjoyed the overall appearance of hotel and staff was friendly. Prime location as we were visiting UT Austin. We did not like that we paid pet fees to take our Shihtzu and on top of that got charged a noise fee which we were not told about beforehand as he would bark sometimes and was more than the original pet fees. Self-parking fees are almost as much as the valet fees. Parking should be included.

The hotel is clean and so are the rooms. The rooftop bar and pool area is nice and clean and the service is good. The hotel restaurant was short staff, and the service and food were not so great, but the last time I stayed here it was good so it may have just been the staff that was working on the day I stayed.

Awesome stay, best hotel we have had in a long time, inside bar was excellent, steak house was excellent, vinyl collect excellent, it is a little pricey but you get what you pay for did not let us down on any aspect.

Staff was super friendly and helpful even though they seemed to be pretty full! The lobby bar and whole atmosphere was great!

The hotel location, its staff and restaurant were great. The lobby was nice and we felt welcomed when we arrived. Once we arrived at our room things began going south. Yes, the room was clean, but the layout was horrible. When you walk through the door you are in the bathroom. The glass door shower is immediately to your right, and the bathroom sink to your left. A few steps further and you are in the bedroom. The beds were comfortable but the city view room I requested was terrible and gave me a view of the rear side of some dilapidated buildings and their roof tops.

Location was great as we were headed to a concert at moody (15 min walk) the room was clean and comfy Valet was SO EXPENSIVE ($65). Also wish the food options were a little better but what we had was delicious and it is mega convenient to have it delivered to the room when on a time crunch.

Roof top bar was very nice

The rooms were nice in comparison to other hotels we looked at. It was nice with the big TV and record player. The location was a bit off from the main part. The car valet was extremely overpriced. It was $65 when parking down the street I saw was $20. The restaurant in the hotel tried to be fancy but the food was average and almost sickening. Although the rooms were nice, it was missing some touches

The Otis has a very nice pool. Restaurant is just Okay. Honestly, in my opinion, The Otis is a 4-star hotel. Not a 5 star. They apply a lot of fees that you are not aware of. Like a resort fee? This place doesn't feel like a resort. They applied $50.00 to my account for a two-night star. It was use it or lose it. I had to eat on premise. So be aware. Also, parking is very expensive. Not a bad hotel, but also not one I'm looking forward to returning to.

fine, odd layout

We loved the Hotel staff and service, the rooms were clean and so was the hotel. My only gripe which I hate even mentioning, was the layout. We had a King Bedroom, however when you open the door you have to walk through the bathroom w/ your shoes on, to get to the bedroom. There isn't a bench or any space to take off your shoes before hand. Small detail but a little annoying. I don't know how the other rooms are set up, maybe they are different. Other than that we loved this place.

The room was clean, staff very good, overall-the restaurant and bar and their food and staff made the trip!!! Food and service was excellent! Very good experience on a cold, rainy weekend! Also had our dog with us and by far most dog friendly hotel we have ever been to!

It was a great experience. The record player in our room had a problem. Called the desk and a tech responded quickly and repaired the problem. Very clean and great service.

I stayed here for a concert with my mom and loved it! So many spots to eat within walking distance, I could walk back from concert, and hotel itself was very cool. Lobby was beautiful and rooms were relaxing, comfortable, and looked just as pictured. My favorite thing was the record player and the great selection of music downstairs. We took advantage and had nice music playing when we took a break from being around town. We loved it and would definitely recommend!

The drinks were strong, the food was great, the atmosphere was amazing. But the staff, phenomenal. One of the best stays. I would strongly recommend the Otis.

Nice updated boutique hotel with a unique vinyl record player in each guestroom. All the staff were friendly, hallways quiet. Beautiful view of Austin from the rooftop pool & bar area.... only drawback was the odd entrance through the bathroom area for the guestrooms.

The coffee pot in the room - or whatever it was - is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever tried to use. You gotta understand, people just want a regular, easy to make cup of coffee.

Great vibe, walkable to UT locations (dorms, apartments, restaurants), easy parking (valet or self park), nice dining & a fabulous roof top bar. Only down side was only two very slow elevators, but it was fine bc it was a very busy move-in and sorority bid day weekend!

This is my second time staying at this hotel and it didn’t disappoint. The service was excellent and the staff were amazing. I’ll be back.

Central location, friendly staff, and great ammenities

Friendly staff and the record player is an amazing touch. People kept talking about the restroom at the entrance. When you walk in to your room, you are technically in the main restroom and visibility to shower so plan for that if you’re staying with a family member. I enjoyed the stay and will be back again.

food is great at the acres 41 restaurant and the pen was very comfortable

We liked the hotel for its cleanliness, staff were friendly and very efficient, bar and waiting area was great. Pool area was a bit too small. Wish there was a small convenience store of sort inside the hotel for bakery items, drinks, miscellaneous.

Loved the proximity to everything. Room and rooftop pool were amazing although only 1 elevator was working during our stay causing long waits. Overall the stay was great!!

This is an excellent place to stay! The staff is extremely welcoming. The entire hotel is clean and smells great! The rooms have all the accommodations one can need. The bar is exceptional and has a great variety of whiskeys. 10/10

When I scheduled the stay, I was offered an option to prepay for breakfast. This seemed convenient so i chose to do so. However when we arrived at the hotel to check in at 9:30 at night, we were handed a voucher to ise for room service and told that it had to be used in the next 30 minutes as the kitchen was closing. I informed them that I purchased the prepaid breakfast and was told that it could not be ised on the day of checkout. So for a 1 night stay, i was robbed of my prepaid breakfast. I will be requesting a refund. Aside from that the hotel was nice. But I feel like they scammed me so I will not be returning.

Fantastic stay at The Otis. Such an ideal location in downtown right by the university campus. The rooftop bar has quite a view and delicious cocktails. The restaurant at the hotel - Acre 41 - is a must visit. All of the dishes ordered by our party were excellent. We booked a King room with a view, which is recommended. Very comfortable bed and great shower. The staff is also very friendly and helpful.

They need to clean the pool area better looks old and dirty . The water it self looks dirty too .

Pool not kid friendly. Locals that weren’t staying at the property were allowed in - smoking, cussing, yelled at my 13yo for accidentally splashing.

Loved the room, enjoyed playing the vinyl on the record player and had excellent service with very friendly staff! Also loved the pool on the rooftop-enjoyed the wonderful view and great vibes for our sunset cocktails and light bites! excellent Ahi tuna tostadas.We will return!

Great location and ambiance

The hotel was lovely - all the employees were friendly (even offered free donuts that were still warm!) and the hotel was clean. The highlight was how comfortable the room was from the linens, the pillows, the mattress, the blackout curtains, to the steady ac. It was the the best night of sleep I’ve had in a hotel. I would go back just for the good sleep.
