Lovely hotel, fantastic restaurant and spacious room! A spa too! What’s not to love!
- 3/5
Unfortunately, although the staff were incredibly nice and pleasant, and the hotel itself was a great find (good location, cool vibe), the hotel is fighting an uphill battle with street noise below. And with seemingly poor quality in its construction, and perhaps a less than willing local police department, the modified vehicles, street racing, 4 wheelers, etc. are a HUGE problem at this hotel. They started around midnight and you can't even imagine how loud they were. We were awake and doing battle still at 3 AM trying to sleep. Sound machines won't mask your way out of this one. We had very little sleep and had to switch hotels the following day. I wish I had read the other reviews before I booked.

Good location for our event at Moody Center.

This location has a good location. But that was it. The price of this place is ridiculous and nothing to support that, meaning amenities. I was suppose to get a complementary wine. Never received. Suite was a bit small for pricing and living area is part of a room.

Great bed and great Coffee shop! The rest - Simply okay!

I loved this hotel and plan to return on my next business trip. Thomas at the front desk was truly amazing, proactively, ordering food and beverage for us when he knew that we were hungry and wouldn’t have access to the restaurant. I loved the simple touches like the fruit infused water in the lobby, the modern/contemporary decor, the fabulous restaurant upstairs with amazing views of the city, and I swear it was close to Michelin rated quality food. The rooms are spacious with the largest work desks that I have seen in a hotel room. I don’t drink alcohol, but it was very considerate that they had chilled champagne waiting in the room upon anrrival and offered to deliver a glass of sparkling wine on one of the evenings. This hotel felt extremely luxurious for such an affordable price point. I will be recommending that all my coworkers stay here as well.

Ask to have the bar, snacks, wine, water and towels refreshed each day because it does not happen on it’s own.
- 4/5
Great experience but they forgot to service our room on 3rd day.
- 3/5
Many of the rooms face a very busy road, resulting in significant road noise. The hotel should have been built with soundproof windows but that is not the case.
- 5/5
The hotel was amazing. They welcomed us with a bag of goodies for our dog. Staff was incredible! We will be back💗
- 5/5
Perfect in every way!

Unfortunately, the overall experience did not live up to the expectations of a luxury hotel. The biggest issue was the noise. This was by far the noisiest downtown hotel I’ve stayed in while visiting Austin. It appears the building may have poor sound insulation, as outside noise was noticeable throughout our stay. The pool area was also disappointing. With only about 10 lounge chairs for a 106-room hotel, seating is extremely limited. When we arrived, there were no clean towels available, empty plates and glasses had not been cleared, and the entire area looked disheveled rather than polished. The staff was pleasant but not nearly as attentive as expected for a hotel in this price range. Service fell short in other ways as well. Later that evening, I realized I had forgotten toothpaste and called the front desk to request some. I was told it would be sent to the room, but it never arrived. Rather than call again, I went to bed, and my husband had to stop by the front desk the following morning to pick some up himself. The Loren has all the ingredients to be an exceptional luxury hotel—the design, rooms, and food are excellent—but it needs significant improvement in soundproofing, pool operations, housekeeping attention to detail, and guest service to justify its premium price.

The property was well maintained. The staff was courteous. The rooftop pool was small but functional. There was nothing wrong with our experience. It was just underwhelming compared to other 5 star resorts we have been to.

Incredibly friendly staff, breakfast at Nido was the best I’ve had in a long time! Would definitely come back.
- 5/5
The room was noisy from outside traffic but they did provide ear plugs however if you’re not used to using them they can be uncomfortable to wear. Hotel was excellent and staff was so nice! Will ask for another room facing away from the traffic next time

Gym was great. Restaurant had fantastic views.

The AC didn’t work. Set thermostat for 69 to sleep. Woke up and the room was 73. Too hot for me to sleep comfortably. I think there might be a motion detector element because the room was warm when we returned after being out for the day. I won’t be going back

Hotel shows some wear in rooms. Staff routinely provide less than complete answers to simple questions. Valet pretty quick must times.
- 5/5
Beautiful rooms, staff awesome. Pets allowed, spa onsite and coffee shop on site, fitness room, lake across the street. Love this place
- 2/5
Booked a studio suite and ended up on the 3rd floor next to the main road. Crazy noisy at night and in the morning coz the coffee shop is right there. Staff didn’t even bother to ask how the stay was, else this could have been a feedback at the front desk. The restaurant, Nido, was great as always, but never coming back to the hotel. Also, staff at the coffee shop was rude!
- 5/5
Beautiful from check-in to check out
- 5/5
Excellent property. West facing rooms are quite noisy late into the night, as to be expected in an urban area. Professional, attentive staff.
- 5/5
Great room, great location, lovely staff

Super nice hotel and area
- 5/5
Had a wonderful stay at The Loren. Our room and bathroom were large, clean and well appointed. The staff was so friendly and I love the pool! Room service was quick and delicious. My only concern was that the electric shade in our room stopped working.
- 5/5
Great hotel right in the thick of things.
- 5/5
The room and staff were wonderful

Location is fantastic, a less busy area of downtown and roof top dining and swimming were amazing. room decor felt very custom and intentional.

Location. Walkable to ACL. Traffic around hotel was horrendous. Very limited room service
- 5/5
The bed was great! The size of the room was very spacious and clean. The on-site restaurant was delicious and the cafe was very convenient for coffee in the morning. Everything was great. No complaints here.

Everything was great. No complaints here.

However, I was disappointed by a "hidden" $35 daily amenity fee that felt like a sneaky addition to the bill. They mention it goes toward a "Roots" carbon-offset charity initiative, but it’s frustrating to have this tacked on unexpectedly. I wasn't able to dine at the on-site restaurant as it was fully booked, but be aware that it is quite pricey and formal—it really depends on the vibe you're looking for. Great stay, but keep an eye on your final folio.

The room was spacious, clean, and extremely comfortable.

- 4.5/5
Design, quality of the bedding, towels, fridge. Good gym with sufficient equipment. Staffs are helpful. No slipper and essential bathroom kits. I asked for slippers when I arrived the room but the hotel said they run out off it. I stayed there for three days and did not get to use them. The house keeping also do didn’t give the new vanity kits and shower cap.

Lovely property close to lots of trails on Lady Bird Lake. Close to many restaurants on Lamar.

This is my mom getaway spot. Everyone is so accommodating. It’s clean and quiet and perfect for relaxing away from all the mom jobs.
- 5/5
The restaurant on the top floor is excellent!
- 4/5
Pool is small,. Our room was on 3rd floor facing street which was very noisy. Only valet parking I prefer an option to self park.
- 5/5
Room service was great.

Chic, great service, super comfortable bed, perfect shower.
- 5/5
Amazing hotel. Perfect for an anniversary trip. Gym was great coffee shops was great people watching, morning walk on lady bird lake. Loved that my dog could hag out with us over breakfast!
- 4/5
Great hotel and staff and beautiful rooms. Only downside is loud st (Lamar blvd) cars racing and burning tires 11-3am. Family had a terrible restless sleep due to that.
- 5/5
If valet is required it should not be extra.
- 5/5
Loved staying here, great location and staff.
- 5/5
The Loren is the perfect hotel for relaxing, with a pool area on the roof top and a great spa next door. The room and the bathroom were spacious, and I loved the automatic shades!! The staff was welcoming, friendly and helpful. Especially Amanda, who went above and beyond when assisting me in the restaurant and at the pool. The breakfast menu could offer a view more healthy options. Loved the cafe on the ground floor, great coffee and very nice baristas. I will definitely come back for another spa weekend.

I recently stayed at the Loren during a trip to Austin, and I couldn’t be more impressed. From the moment I arrived, the service was absolutely top-notch. The room was spotless, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. Highly recommend.

One of the nicest restaurants in Austin
- 5/5
Very nice spot in Austin to stay for walkable access to many restaurants, parks, and shopping in Austin.
- 5/5
Great place to stay where you can walk the Lake and across to downtown Austin. Very peaceful despite being close to the city. Awesome rooftop restaurant and downstairs coffee shop. Love the way plants are incorporated into the property.
- 5/5
Excellent service. Clean hotel. Great location. Only issue we had was the quality of toilet paper. For a hotel like The Loren the toilet paper should not be the low grade quality that it was.
- 5/5
Front desk was always very helpful. Little café was nice. The river walk was beautiful. I can't wait to back.
- 5/5
This hotel is beautiful, modern, in a great location and offers great amenities. I would definitely stay here again.
- 5/5
My family enjoyed our stay at the Loren and would happily return.
- 5/5
If I have to recommend one thing, it would be that there should be a rain forest shower. So with that in mind this hotel is a 9.8 out of 10.
- 5/5
Beautiful property, friendly staff, excellent location. Will be back!

Not a 5* hotel, also the most expensive on our 11 night road trip and was the worst experience we had in Texas by far. Stayed 2 nights - arrived at 12pm (3 hours before check in) room wasn’t ready not a problem. I was told they are cleaning now and will be done asap (great news) went for some lunch at Terry Blacks as it’s a 10minute walk. 1:30pm back at hotel, not had a call or email so asked the front desk if the room was ready - not yet shouldn’t be long, no problem had a coffee at the Cafe which was the only (highlight of the place and great staff) 1:30-2:30pm others guests arriving and where checked in (not a problem) 2:45 I asked if the room was ready and it still wasn’t. 3pm surprise the room was ready. We had the lake view premier suite with balcony. The room/valet and bellboy services with the cafe are the only positives at the hotel. After the 1st night we went out for the day came back around 4:30pm and the room wasn’t cleaned. Contacted the front desk and was told someone would be there asap as they finish at 5pm. Called again asking if they are coming and suggested to just give us clean towel's and empty the bins. We were told no problem they will sort. So… 3 phone calls later (1 hour 30mins after 1st call) and feeling like we had to beg to get basic services someone turned up with clean towels! Shocking service for the price not a 5* hotel. Stay elsewhere in Austin AVOID this hotel. Not worth the premium.

Beautiful property: well considered and appointed.

Fabulous design and pleasant atmosphere, gorgeous rooftop seating for exquisite lazy nights. Room large and again, gorgeous design. Excellent hotel to relax after a hot day exploring Austin
- 5/5
This hotel stay was definitely one of the better I have had in travel. The staff was friendly, the rooms well maintained by the cleaning staff, room service was fantastic, and we had an excellent afternoon by the pool where the waiter Dom kept us very well stocked with delicious poolside beverages. I want to stay here every time I visit Austin in the future.
