Housekeeping was weak throughout my stay. I was shorted on towels and Kleenex, and the room felt inconsistently serviced. On top of that, the hotel charges a $28 amenity fee for Wi‑Fi and pool access, which only added to the frustration. At the bar, I ordered a spirit drink and asked for a large ice cube. I was surprised to see an additional $3 charge for the ice. That pretty much summed up the nickel and diming theme of the stay. Upon checkout, I requested a call from the General Manager to discuss my experience. After three days with no response, I called the hotel myself, only to learn there is no GM on property. That explains a lot about the lack of organization and oversight. For a hotel that markets for downtown Austin itself as a four star property, this was a disappointing and disorganized experience. I’d recommend choosing one of the many other four star options in the area.

Cleanliness isn’t great as you enter front entrance. Lobby looks good. Elevators up to the room look dirty. Carpet in room hallways looks old. Not impressed walking in to my room. The minimalistic vibe just looks kind of weird, no Furniture. View of the lake was good. Bathroom lighting is horrible, enough so that there is a sign to ask for a lighted vanity mirror if needed. Drywall above shower, falling apart, wallpaper, peeling off main room wall, looks dingy. Weird end tables extremely low to the ground. Staff leaves a pamphlet in the shape of toast on bed, went to grab it and there was a previous guests old crusty fake eyelashes stuck to it. Some more attention should be paid. No trash cans anywhere on the floor, other than in the room. Ice machine could not be located, had to call guest services to find out they are only on odd numbered floors, there should be a sign. No washcloths, no iron. Wouldn’t stay here again. Pics and website makes this hotel seem bougier than it is.

We travelled here from Canada for a concert in Austin and did a lot of research into hotels! This was the perfect fit and we were SO happy with our stay. The pool is beautiful- and Alfred’s and the best taco place (in our opinion) is attached to the hotel. The service is top notch and we even got free bikes to ride around lady bird lake. It’s truly such a great hotel and if we are ever back in Austin we will definitely be staying here! Perfect location for everything you want to be around as well! 5 stars :)

The location is fantastic and having a coffee shop and Veracruz Tacos in the hotel was a bonus. The swimming pool was fun. Being so close to the bat bridge is also a cool novelty. The rooms can be more soundproof, we could hear people in rooms across the hallway and also constantly had the music from the swimming pool (7am - 10pm) in our room.

Room space, location Amenities were disappointing, with dirty and damaged furniture. The painted walls need maintenance. For my first visit to Austin, I wasn't pleased to stay in a hotel under these conditions, especially since I could stay at well-known hotels nearby for a price similar to The Line. Also, the employee in the lobby who assisted with check-in seemed a bit frustrated for external reasons and wasn't very welcoming. Again, first impressions count a lot, especially for first-time visitors.

When I arrived, the hotel only had one working elevator, which was already a hassle. Unfortunately, it got much worse. I was assigned a room directly next to the elevator machinery, and all night long the only thing I could hear was an incredibly loud mechanical elevator noise. Sleeping was impossible. At 3:00 a.m., I gave up, packed my bags, and left. I explained the situation to the front desk, and they assured me I would receive a refund. I also exchanged text messages with the property's support team, who confirmed that a refund would be issued. Instead, the hotel only refunded half of my room because I had stayed until 3:00 a.m. Apparently, enduring hours of unbearable noise before finally giving up means you don't deserve a full refund. This is not how a reputable hotel treats its guests. If your room is uninhabitable because of a problem you created, you should stand behind your promises instead of looking for excuses to keep someone's money. Management should find a new business if this is how they choose to handle customer service. I will never stay here again, and I would strongly encourage others to book somewhere else.

Staff was helpful and nice. I have stayed in this hotel several times and it is my favorite in Austin mostly due to excellent location. I really enjoyed waking up and being steps away from jogging on town lake trail. I had a widow facing the town lake and it has really great views. I used the pool several times with friends (it has a bar) and it was nice.

The beds are very low to the ground. There is no door or curtain on the shower which is normally fine but the stationary glass does not prevent the water from spraying around the bathroom. So I checked out the first morning of a three day stay. The hotel said they could not credit me because i booked through Expedia. Expedia couldn’t help because i had stayed one night. The hotel made the business decision to accept bookings from the third party. I think it is poor business to push the client back and forth. It hurts both businesses. No more booking through Expedia and I know to “check the vibe” before booking as i was told by the hotel staff

The shower had very hot water with excellent water pressure. The minibar had a very nice variety of drinks and snacks. The hotel also had many nice restaurants inside and nearby. It is also close to many downtown activities. Perfect stay.

The location is great if you are interested in the downtown area we walked to the Capital, the mothership comedy club and down the main strips, We saw the Congress bats and the Fourth of July celebration was easily seen from the grounds beneath the bridge which was magical! We didn’t get to go to the bar upstairs it was closed for a private event, parking was not included, the pool was small so crowded but it was cute and had a bar. One elevator was broken the whole weekend and the a/c took awhile to cool down the room. Staff was very friendly and helpful, overall I was happy with our stay but will budget a little differently next trip!

When we first arrived, the property looked unique and fun! But in reality, it’s in desperate need for a deep clean. All the furniture in the lobby is stained, there’s dirty carpet in the elevators. It was strange how low the beds were and that they were a platform. The “dresser” in the closet was a 2 drawer end table that had seen better days. There were drinks and snacks in the room, but no way to weigh to indicate you “purchased” and no price list. The live TV channels never worked. The pool area was nice, the restaurants were good. Overall, I probably wouldn’t stay again.

Disliked: mediocre reception / concierge staff. Acted as if they were doing me a favor but then didn't follow through. Disliked: 1st room location faced Cesar Chavez St- street noise was obnoxious! Sirens and traffic kept me up until 2am. I may as well have been trying to sleep on the sidewalk in NYC. I switched rooms to river side. Disliked: lighting in bathrooms horribly dim Disliked: bars stopped serving at 11pm

I've stayed at the LINE twice, and I really like the creative decor, relative to typical chain hotels. The pool is very pleasant and relaxing (with an adjacent bar) and the view from the restaurant on the 6th floor is great, looking over the river. Rooms and beds are comfortable. Walking distance from much of downtown Austin. My only complaint is that the lighting in the bathroom is a bit dim, but they provide a lighted mirror which helps. Oh, and I'm not a fan of the "resort fee," I'd rather have everything included in the cost. Still, I'd be happy to stay here again when in Austin.

Overall it’s ok. The restaurants and bars close at 11, even on the weekends, which wasn’t great. I had to move rooms because of maintenance noise. The phones in both rooms didn’t work. I cut my knee on an exposed screw on the chair. The ice machine rooms were odd and the door to the room had been kicked in. The staff wasn’t super friendly. Louis at the front desk was great but the bartenders at the outside bar and the front desk staff seemed like they didn’t want to help us. One of the bartenders inside was great, but the others weren’t friendly. When I asked to switch rooms, it was like pulling teeth. The pool is lovely. There was a security incident on the day I was there, but that happens. Security handled it. It’s a great location too. Just wish the staff were friendlier and more helpful.

Hotel could use some refreshing, from the rooms to the pool. The rooms are showing age, while the pool walls and floors were very beat up. The Vera Cruz taco stand mad all that moot as we loved that place. Staff was super friendly, parking valet was fairly fast friendly but I'd preferred to self park. Location is a bonus as it's very close to dining, bat bridge, and entertainment.

In Austin because of the beautiful view of town lake. Stay in a high floor and request a view of Town Lake. We would like to thank Carolina who upgraded us to the “Bridge Suite” on the 7th and it was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The pool was crowded but there were plenty of towels and seating for everyone. Even busy the line at the bar was only 2 people. Place your order for Veracruz tacos early because they take a while but are SO worth the wait. The Barbacoa was so tasty! Later that evening we watched the bats from our room just after the sun set. Always fun! In the morning the room service arrived on time and everything was prepared perfectly. In my opinion you can judge a hotel by how the room service operates, and this was perfect. The açaí bowl was delicious. The only one thing was that one side of the room looked down onto the AC/maintenance part of the building, but we had 3 sets of windows so that did not bother me. We did not eat at Arlo Grey but have before and it’s good - the idea is to sit next to the window so you can watch the boats go by on town lake. We love this hotel and will be back!

Great view on the Lake View rooms. The rooms looked sparse and it looked like the main bedroom just had a paint refresh. The bathroom looked like it was new but it didn’t have a bathroom fan for privacy and freshness. The LINE is the old Radisson with a refresh and you can tell that a lot of the refresh is the main lobby and the bathrooms inside the hotel rooms. The beds are also low profile in case that matters to anyone. Regarding parking, you have to pay based on their hourly valet rates or else find free parking somewhere else which isn’t feasible. I chose to pay the $56 overnight valet rate. Last but not least, the food at the Veracruz restaurant attached to it as well as the cocktails and fresh fruit juices were delicious.

Nothing at all. Staff are unapproachable for ALL reasons. Everything is the guest’s mistake or responsibility. Shower leaked with loud dripping sound in room 307. Door lock kept making clicking sound every 90 seconds through the night. Why do I have to pay premium price for Lakeview room when the lake is COMPLETELY obstructed by trees. This is not even a virtual Lakeview room. Lakeview rooms command premium prices but there is no view of the lake from from level 2 to level 7.

The pictures online were very deceiving. The hotel was dirty and our hallways and room smelt very musty. The pool was black, not crystal clear blue, you couldn’t even see the bottom. Our room was on the fourth floor but the music at the pool was very loud until 10 pm. Not ideal with a child in our room. I didn’t see a single employee except when I needed to check in or valet my car. Not a great visit and way to spend my first time in Austin. I would not recommend.

The rooms are a little run down but the bed was comfy. The main lobby floor always seemed to be dirty and probably needs cleaning often due to dogs staying in the hotel. We brought our dogs because it says “dog friendly”and no fees, but they had us sign a paper that says you won’t leave your dogs unattended and if they bark then you will be charged $250. However after we left ours in the room to go to a concert that we had already bought tix for and worrying the whole time that they would bark, we later found out that there were dogs all around us in other rooms and it sounded like a kennel due to all the barking (which we didn’t mind) but the fact being that the staff made us feel like we couldn’t leave them alone when in fact other guests were doing so. Also the valet tries to pressure you into valeting you car for $50 per night and if you don’t use them they yell at you to move your car when you’re simply trying to unload your bags. There’s literally a parking garage a few yards away for $25 per day. Doubt we will stay again which is too bad because it’s a cool place otherwise.

They let the maids determine if you should be charged an extra $250 smoke fee but we don’t smoke or vape. At 11:15 we walked out of our room to leave while we saw the maid about to come in. Unfortunately my husband had to take a poo before we walked out and the bathroom door didn’t get shut but by 12:00 we got an email that we were getting charged an $250 smoke fee. We don’t smoke or vape and left the room clean and very normal. I called immediately talked to someone on the phone that said the maid said the odor was bad, So she had to skip cleaning that room. We should have turned around and went back and went back into our room as the smell would have been gone by then as it doesn’t last that long. I guess the maid wanted off early that day and charging us an extra $250 was ok in all the staffs eyes. Definitely be aware of this policy here. She could have cleaned a different room and went back. We travel all the time and have never experienced anything close to this.

Quirky, funky, but great location. The good: Room had a great view of the lake and bridge, and the pool was very nice. Staff was friendly and helpful. But the room itself felt a little 'off' - The not-so-good: The bathroom/shower area needs work. Toilet was an issue, the shower only had a half wall, so floor was always wet. Counters had a strange intentional 'rise' in the middle of both counter tops, so you could not really use the space. Lighting in bathroom was equivalent to 'candle light', so difficult to see for makeup, etc. There were repairs in the ceiling that were not completed and lots of paint missing or rubbed off in places. There was no 'dresser' or anywhere to put your things down. Tiny closet (painted black inside with no light) included with the fridge and coffee; placement seemed odd. No microwave. A nice small table in the room, but only one chair. The bed was only about 10 inches off the ground, so not great for seniors. Bedside lamps were extremely short, so difficult to use for in-bed reading. Pool bar had good drinks, but staff was not friendly at all. (Other guests remarked the same to us) The on-site taco restaurant was delicious, but bring your large wallet! Like most things in a tourist city the size of Austin, everything is way over priced. Enjoyed the city very much and the hotel location is great. But be prepared that it's definitely not like a typical 'chain' hotel in expectations of the room plan and amenities.

Carpets are somewhat stained throughout the building, and the paint is chipping/worn in many areas. Ceiling treatment in the lobby, restaurant, and bar area looks like an inexpensive way to gloss over a needed repair. Staff were all warm and welcoming. Bar had one of the best cocktails I've had. We didn't try the food there. Great location to go watch the bats emerge from the bridge. We travel often. Overall, the Line was 2-3 star. Won't be adding this one to our rotation list.

Nice hotel. Way overpriced though. Rooms were wierd. Had a suite...uncomfortable couch...wide open wasted space. No bureau. Bed was 12" off the ground. Just not comfortable. Staff was excellent. Pool was great. The mexican take out resturant and bar were awesome. Just not my cup of tea for a room. A plain old king bed room wood have been great.

This is my third stay at The Line Hotel. I has a very cool and urban vibe! The location, the pool and the service are all great! The bar, P6, and the restaurant, Veracruz, on site are awesome. Best breakfast (or any time of day) tacos and smoothies are the best!

Very Messy rooms. Did not feel clean. Fire alarms went off plus flooding. The rooms are super dark with no light basically a fire hazard if you trip. Room looked very cheap considering this was not a cheap hotel.

The hotel smells like mold the staff responds like they are annoyed you to attend anyone. There is no coffee in the room the pillows are made from multiple pillows so there are hard pieces in them making it very uncomfortable to sleep. My bed had gum and hair attached to it makes me wonder if they even clean the sheets or just make the beds. It was pretty bad I’d say worse than a hostile

Room 759 had stained floors dirty walls the hallways looked like a vacuum hadn’t been ran on them in weeks. Felt ripped off for 400 a night. Me or my 150 employees will never stay here again. Offer to comp me resort fees and a breakfast. This is a management issue definitely. When your manager lacks the vision or initiative your product lacks appeal. If I wanted dirty I would have stayed at the super 8

Great experience. Cool Texan vibe. Love the natural decor and fireplaces. Can’t get any closer to ladybird lake! Loved walking across birdie right to south congress area for dining and shopping. Bat watching is right there too on the bridge. Excellent location to walk everywhere.

The hotel is not the best for seniors . We found it way too dark in the public areas and rooms. The bed is way too low and the room was very noisy from the bar above the room

Front desk staff was fine. The other staff within the hotel is lacking. The poolside bar staff was pretty rude. The guy argued with me about what I ordered … even when he turned out to be wrong he was still rude. Coffee shop staff also give off the air that they would rather pour coffee on you than for you. We have stayed at this location a few times and probably will start staying somewhere else. It’s a great location and the pool is heated and peaceful but we’re tired of dealing with employees that make our stay unpleasant.

They never cleaned my room. I had to complain and they came at 5:15 bc they were only available to 6. Unfortunately this was the precise tone I was supposed to be dressing for a gala. This was a hassle I didn’t expect or appreciate in a hotel that costs 350 a night.

The Line was excellent. Staff was very welcoming and accommodated our every need. We were especially grateful to be able to check in early after not sleeping much due to the TSA issues at airport. I would definitely stay here every time I visit Austin again.

I had a one-night stay at the hotel, checking in late to get some rest before an early morning. Unfortunately, it was a disaster. The noise from the HVAC system, plumbing, and streetcars made it impossible to sleep. It was a terrible experience, and I do not recommend this hotel.

The dark entrance is off putting, the beds are horrible, the bathroom hardware was falling off in the sink and the shower, the was no iron or ironing board in the room had to call down for it, room lighting sucked bathroom was cool and why would you close the pool at 8pm, I don’t think I’ll stay here again. People were great.

This is not my favorite hotel in Austin. I was excited to try it out and we were there for a busy weekend (to be fair) but they seemed unprepared for it. Coffee line out the door every morning and there's not a regular breakfast option. The taco joint had great breakfast tacos though - that was a highlight for sure. They didn't clean my room one day and I even spoke with housekeeping and the front desk and they still didn't come. Just felt like the service was pretty mediocre and nothing was easy at the hotel (shouldn't take 5 minutes for a beer at the pool when you are standing at the bar and no one else is waiting for a drink). Pool is nice but it's practically on Congress, you can see traffic from the pool - sort of strange. I expect others might enjoy this place - it was not for me, I prefer a more relaxing and accommodating hotel.
